Everyone was having fun while dancing and talking in fancy ball held by the Ducal house of Cintani. It was the Duchess's birthday after all. The ballroom was filled with laughter and talking of the different nobles of high society , women tends to talk about the trends, jewelries, dresses and tea parties while men was more interested on talking about politics, businesses and laws in the kingdom.

"hey look isn't that the daughter of the fallen house of Salvatore?" everyone's attention was taken by a beautiful woman who just given attention recently.

"yeah, that's her, i heard that Marquez Handell adopted her what are they thinking? , i really thought she was dead since they say no one survive in Salvatore massacre 3 years ago."

Her presence in the ball made a ruckus. The only child of Salvatore who everyone thought is dead came back alive.

"lady Cecelia right? my name is Anna Carson daughter of Count Ludwig Carson " one woman who in the same age as her approach her. She just look at the girl blankly and with no emotion but then she realize she will be heavily criticize if she won't response to her greetings.

"t-that is right Lady Anna " she said in a very shy manner, that made the woman smirk at her , then another two women came in their direction, they were looking at her like she was in a different race than them while holding a wine glass.

"i was surprised seeing you here,i thought no one survive the massacre in your house? But we are all surprise that the dead Cecelia came back alive, don't you think? hahaha" and they all laugh at her, if you belong to a fallen house your title will be taken away from you and since the Salvatore house was no longer exist it means that she is no longer a noble anymore. but she just got adopted recently that made her a noble again but with the high society that is an unacceptable fact.

She just lower her head because of the words of this ladies.

"oopps!! Sorry my hand slip" anna said and they all laugh again living her drench in wine. All nobles around her has this pity and disgusted look while looking at her.

Cecelia immediately run holding her gown, she needs to fix herself.

Until she reach the parlor where aristocrat fix themselves.

She then look at herself in the mirror, brown hair, green eyes , wine dripping in her head, messy hair and teary eyes. She looks pathetic. She look so mess.

she clench her teeth and punch the mirror.

"i'm gonna rip the neck of those bitches and burn them alive!!" she whisper on herself while her green eyes burn with anger.

                           3 years ago when the house of Salvatore was massacred by an unknown persons, both Cecelia's parents were dead and not a single souls were seen alive inside, all butlers, maids and knights was slaughter, no one is alive except her, good thing she got away. She then got adopted in the Marquis house, the house of Handell and became the lady of the house. But still even if she is the only lady of the house she was mistreated by her own mother and along with the maid and her adopted father show no interest in her. But even though she got mistreated a lot she can't fight back , she needs this home and she needs to stay as their daughter until she graduate from the magic school.

She is currently engage to the most sought bachelor in town Duke Marcos Lainin, the cold blooded son of duke Lainin. Marcos despised her so much because of her attitude being shy, timid, stupid and boring and he hate the fact that she was his fiancee, Marcos got embarrass and deny Cecelia as his fiancee whenever they are on a ball or gathering involving with aristocrat.

Chapter 2: The Fiance

"Just what did you do to Duchess Cintani's party last night Cecelia? I heard from my friends in a Tea party that you embarrass yourself again? Again?! Cecelia?" her mother shouted at her.

" i am going to lock you up in two days and You won't eat anything " Cecelia got startle and fear what her mother said.

"mother please don't lock me up again, please mother." She beg but Her mother just cross her arm and look at her disgustedly.

"mother please, i will do my best next time, please don't lock me up."

"Guards!!!" then two guards went in.

"lock Lady Cecelia in the basement for 2 days and no one is allowed to feed her. " the two guards held her arms and drag her.

"mother please, no! mother!!" she whine while crying.

Cecelia was brought to the basement of their mansion since yesterday and true to her mother's words no one feed her she is starting to starve. Of course what does she expect? all the maids was with her mother. In this house she is powerless and useless.

Her adopted parents only interested with her because of the Salvatore inheritance that her parents left to her.

"just a little more, you need to endure it just a little more." She said to herself desperately while trying to stop her tears from falling.

She just look at outside of her window, looking at the full moon and the stars around it.

The Next day her mother freed her.

"make yourself presentable Cecelia you are going to meet with Marcos, make sure to seduce him." Her mother said, seduce? She doesn't even know that word. Marcos Leinen was the first son of Duke Alex Leinen her fiance. But they are not in good terms, Marcos hates her so much.

Cecelia ride the carriage going to the Leinen House to have a Tea with her fiance again. Cecelia sigh deeply since she is going to see her cold hearted fiance again.

Why do i need to see him again? I don't like talking to him. She said to herself.

When her carriage arrive a butler help her and lead her to the garden where they usually had their boring Tea time.

" His grace is waiting for you lady Cecelia" their butler Ron said as they walk at the rose garden. She can't stop herself admiring their beautiful garden she heard the Duchess is the one who personally tends this.

Not far away from their direction she saw her Fiance standing near the fountain wearing his usual white Tuxedo. Marcos is tall and well build, his silver hair match well to his clothes and his red eyes are like rubies. He is like a God that came from Mt. Olympus.

"your grace, Lady Cecelia has arrive" the butler announced. Marcos look at her blankly. And signal Ron to leave them.

"good morning Your grace" she greeted him but she got no reply from Marcos. As always. He hates her. He is so against this marriage after all. Only her mother insist due to the friendship of Salvatore and Leinen that we are engage .

The two of them seated across each other like a statue that cannot talk. They are the worst pair.

"are you also planning to enroll in St. Adelaide Magic School your grace?" she ask in a shy manner Cecelia cannot talk confidently that is why she has a hard time having a conversation.

"yes, don't tell me you are attending that school too? Tss don't ever try it." He said as expected Marcos is underestimating her.

"m-my mother will enroll me there."

Cecelia was surprise when Marcos suddenly slap his cup on the table that cause his tea to spill and the cup to broke.

Cecelia was shock and scared while looking at the mad face of Marcos.

"don't even dare Cecelia! You already ruined my life by trying to tie yourself to me so don't even dare try to follow me in school. go to other school." he shouted.

"B-B-But, i A-already pass my application" she said while stuttering that made Marcos more angry.

"Stop it!! I hate you Cecelia!!! I hate you so much this engagement is bullshit! And i will do my best to break this off." He shouted again and left me alone. He really despise her.

"stupid!" she whisper. And her eyes begin to change its color.

"Lady Cecelia!" one maid came to her. That made her back to her senses

"are you okay milady?" she ask.

Cecelia just gave her sweet smile to the maid.

"I'm fine, thank you for asking." She said and sip her remaining Tea.

NOT so far from the rose garden of house Leinen two person is looking at them and saw how  Marcos shouted and despise Cecelia.

"hehe everything is according to plan." She said.

" yeah, she just need to endure it a bit." The other person said.

"let's go back before someone seen us." And they both vanish with the use of magic.

Chapter 3:

The house Handell was invited to the royal ball held in the royal palace to celebrate the coming of age of the two unknown princes, it is a law here in Ivaesian kingdom that all ladies and gentlemen that reach at the age of 18 will debut in high society. And along those ladies and gentlemen is Cecelia. She turn 18 two months ago.

The ball was a masquerade ball to conceal the identity of the twin Princes. It is a law also in the palace that the identity of the princes will be hidden in the public until they find a bride. That is why no one knew who they are.

The party haven’t started yet and the royal family haven’t shown their face yet. Cecelia got bored and went to the terrace of the Ball room. Her parents are busy socializing with other nobles. They are neglecting her so she knew they won’t needed her to be introduce to other nobles.

Cecelia hates parties all people are just gathering to advertising themselves, to know who is richer who has the most income, talking about the affairs of others and badmouthing someone behind their backs. High society is such a toxic place.

People only showing things what other people want to see.

Cecelia just drink her wine while looking at the main palace that is in front of the ball room.

“hahaha oh if it isn’t Lady Cecelia Salvatore? Oops, my bad i mean Lady Cecelia Handell.” A lady behind her spoke.

It was Vivian Randoff daughter of Baron Randoff from the west. She has this bitch face that complement her red hair.

“Lady Vivian, nice seeing you here” she said in a bored tone, cecelia wasn’t in the mood to talk and to have a fake facade now, she just wanted to be alone.

“what’s with your tone you bitch...” vivian did not finish her words.

“what does your brother taste?” Cecelia said while glaring at the lady in front of her. Who became pale and shivering in fear after what she heard.

Cecelia wants to laugh seeing Vivian’s stunned face. She move near her and whisper in a very cold tone.

“you better stay away from me, or else you know what will happened.” Cecelia said and give Vivian a sweet smile.

“s-s-s-sorry!!” Vivian said and immediately run away.

“Pathetic!” she said she then went back to her old position in the terrace.

“wow!! That was quick” a baritone voice speaks. Cecelia just close her eyes because of irritation.

“can’t i have a piece of mind here?” she said then face the man behind her. He was wearing a mask and has a blonde hair.

“who are you?” Cecelia ask the man, but he just smirk at her.

“i didn’t expect what you said to Lady Vivian, that was bloody hell .” Cecelia just look at him. Thinking why is he trying to be friendly with her.

“w-w-what a-are you talking about a-about my milord?” she said in a shy manner. Like her usual self. She doesn’t even know this man.

“what?” he was stunned

“i-im sorry if i offended you in any way milord please forgive my stupidity.” She added and bow.

The man was very confuses to her.

“well, then excuse me.”

“w-wait!” the man said but Cecelia already left.

“tch! What an interesting woman.” Prince Lucius said while still looking at the back of the lady.

It wasn’t his intention to eavesdrop to their conversation but he eventually heard of it. Just one phrase coming from the lady’s mouth and lady Vivian had her tongue tied. Such an interesting lady. Her attitude suddenly change in a bit.

“you highness, your father the king is looking for you.” His personal knight Victor said.

“victor, do you happen to know about the Randoff siblings? Vivian and Hanes?” he ask his knight but his knight remained silent.

“i am asking you Victor.”

“umm, that topic has been off limits in high society milord, i heard everyone who talks about it in the west got their head cut. It was baseless rumor after all”

“so what is it?”

“they say that the siblings got involve in ****** acts. That was the west kingdom scandal they carefully hidden.” He just smirk .

“but where have you heard that Your highness? No one in our kingdom knew that.”

“just heard it somewhere.” The guy can’t contain himself from smiling.

“i just went downstairs, Lucas” Lucius said ,

“relax, father is not here yet, it’s not like they gonna recognize us right.” He said.

“and one more thing i met an interesting woman, downstairs”

“so, did you get her name?”

“nope! I didn’t she ran away.”

“are you two ready?” their father King Alfred Wyknight said with their mother on his arms.

“yes, father.”

“then let’s head out.”

“ Announcing! His Majesty King Alfred and Queen Mirida with His Highnesses Crown Prince Lucius Wyknight and Prince Lucas  Wyknight!” The door open and they march down the stairs.
