I remember the night you asked me out for the first time...
Taehyung smiles a bit as he looked straight into his soulmate's eyes.
Taehyung
I didn't understand what I was feeling back then, I think I didn't want to.
Taehyung
and no, it wasn't the love every teenager talks about. it was more than that...it was almost like..[laughs and looks down] like there a tree or something of the sort in my heart, everytime you...[smiles] you smiled or brushed my hair or touched me just for the heck of it I...I felt it grow and it scared me...
Taehyung
it scared me because I had no control over it, I couldn't stop it from growing and I couldn't destroy it either.
Taehyung
but you...you...it's almost like you're doing nothing but doing everything at the same time. the simplest things you do make me so damn happy for some reason and I always wanted to understand why.
Taehyung
and seeing you like this, in front of me. in front of all our loved ones, ready to claim each other....

Taehyung smiles and stares up at his fiance, in minutes they'd legally belong to each other and he couldn't be happier.
he's waited for this moment for years and here it was, he feels like crying.
Jungkook's eyes fill with tears, and he tries his hardest not to look at Taehyung. Taehyung smiles as he sees the tears, he'd thought Jungkook was just too touched by his vows but that wasn't entirely what happened.
He was touched, and he was honored but it also gave him realization.
The kind that required him to break a heart, something he's been trying not to do for months now.
He pulls at his tie as a lump forms in his throat. The crowd is cheering and he can't hear anything. Everything is just too much.
He thought he could but after that speech he realizes how evil he'd be if married the older, knowing he didn't love him anymore. how could he waste all that love when he doesn't deserve it?
He wants to marry Taehyung but he can't; because he'd be doing it for the wrong reasons.
He'd be doing it so he doesn't hurt the older's feelings, so he won't break his heart like he begged him not to.
Taehyung
You won't break my heart, will you? {smile}
Jungkook remembers that date quite vividly, but it's his response that tears him apart.
Jungkook
of course not, I'll love you till I take my last breath.
back then everything was perfect. he did love Taehyung, so much so what changed? what happened? what did he do? how could he just fall out of love?
Taehyung's done nothing so...? why?
He looks into the crowd and sees a teary eyed Jimin and he turns away and shuts his eyes before he bends down; shaking his head at himself.
not right now, not infront of everyone.
Taehyung
hey, are you okay? what's wrong?
Taehyung bends and wraps his arms around the younger, concerned. Jungkook feels so bad.
Jungkook snaps himself out of his breakdown before he stands and wipes his eyes, pulling a concerned Taehyung up with him as well.
Jungkook nods immediately but Taehyung doesn't buy it. He looks up at Jungkook with a tilted gaze. He had a feeling Jungkook was second guessing their marriage a couple months back, he could see how uncomfortable he got whenever he'd brought up marriage to him but Taehyung had chosen to brush it off in fear.
Tears settles in Taehyung's eyes as he watches Jungkook look down in the crowd for maybe the 20th time that night.
why does he keep looking at Jimin?
priest
Jungkook, do you have any vows?
Jungkook
I always knew you were the one and I promise to l...to lo..[voice breaks] I promise to love and protect you at all time. you're my only priority and I'll lo..love you always.
Taehyung smiles, it's kind of fake. He'd expected better. It just seemed like someone was forcing Jungkook to do this and it's breaking his heart. Did he not want to marry him? is that it? sure it couldn't be? right?
Jungkook gulps and looks in the crowd again. Taehyung looks too and he sees Jimin getting up from his seat before he exits his row and starts walking out of the reception and then Taehyung looks back at Jungkook who continued watching Jimin leave. Why did he seem so sad?
Taehyung's tears start falling immediately and he lets his grip fall from Jungkook's arm. He...
priest
Jungkook, Do you take Kim Taehyung as your lawful wedded Husband? To love and cherish, in times of sickness and health, poorness and wealth?
Jungkook closes his eyes as the doors closed behind Jimin, it's painful for Taehyung to watch. how is he just realizing this?
Everytime Jimin was around...Jungkook seemed happier....way happier than he could ever make him.
and he'd talk about Jimin whenever it wasn't necessary, the way he smiled whenever he steered the conversation to talk about Jimin. It's all hitting Taehyung right now all at once, all the glances, the touches, the smiles that he'd tried not to notice, saying he was just overreacting.
The way they'd disappear together in any public setting, why hadn't Jungkook said anything? he's just overreacting? isn't he? there's no...no way Jungkook would do something like this to him?
it's there wedding ceremony, why is he thinking about this?
Taehyung's tears don't seem to stop, and they just come harder when Jungkook lets out...
He's sounds so ungenuine, it hurts. gosh, it hurts so bad.
priest
And Taehyung, do you take Jungkook as your lawful wedded husband, to love and cherish in sickness and in health, in poorness and in wealth?
Taehyung looks into the crowd, and he spots his best friends, they're smile brightly at him, nodding and telling him to get what he's wanted for years now but how can he now?
He looks back at Jungkook's saddened face
The church quiets down as Taehyung croaked that out, he sounded so sad for someone who was finally getting what they'd dream of for years.
Jungkook
I...I lo...I love you.
Taehyung
why do you stutter everytime?
Taehyung's voice breaks and he looks down, tears dripping down his cheeks.
Taehyung sobs and steps back a little, the whole church watches them confused.
Jungkook takes a step closer and tries to touch Taehyung but he pulls his hands away and shakes his head as he cries.
Taehyung
you don't love me...{sobs}
Taehyung
if you did, you would be looking at me every chance you got.
Taehyung
you'd be happy right now.
Jungkook gulps as tears pool in his eyes and he looks down. He broke his promise to Taehyung, which was to not break his heart. how could he? he feels his heart breaking too.
Taehyung
then why do you keep looking at Jimin like that?
Jungkook
what? I'm not...I...
Jungkook
Taehyung...This is ridiculous. let's just get married and..m
Jungkook
but this is what you wanted.
A tear leaves Jungkook's eyes. He just wants to give the older what he wants. wants to make him happy, even if that meant sacrificing his own happiness.
Taehyung
exactly...[voice breaks]
Taehyung
this is what I want?
Taehyung
what's the point of us getting married if I'm the only one who wants it? [sobs and looks down]
Taehyung
I don't want this to be forced.
Jungkook
I'm not forcing this I...I want it I just...I'm...
who was he kidding? he was forcing himself to do this but for a good cause; he was doing this for Taehyung. isn't that a good enough reason?
Tears fall from Jungkook's eyes, that was the most genuine thing he's heard from the younger's mouth all day. he doesn't want to marry him.
he'd been hoping he was wrong, that he was truly overreacting but he was right and this is the only time he's ever wished he was wrong.
he wishes he meant it, wishes he could be angry or upset or just hate the younger all together but all he feels is pain for himself and for Jungkook because he sees the regret in his eyes, the remorse. This wasn't his fault and as much he'd love to just blame him he can't and he can't force him to love him. It's all so unfair.
He turns and steps off the platform, leaving Jungkook standing there, he hears his friends, Hoseok and Yoongi call after him but he just ignores them tears stream down his face.
How embarrassing? He's create all this fuss over the wedding and now it's just one big flop.
He walks to the door and that's when Jimin decides to return, eyes red and puffy and he stares at Jungkook alone on the isle with confusion and then his gaze switches to Taehyung's wet, saddened face.
Just like that he knew what had happened.
Jimin stares at him with an apologetic look; Taehyung feels more tears fall from his eyes.
He closes them and take a deep breath before he continues walking, just before he walks by Jimin, he whispers.
Taehyung
Please take care of him....
Taehyung
like I couldn't...
Taehyung runs away after, and he hears Jimin call for him but he just continues running. He's not sure how far he'll go or how far he can run but it doesn't matter, because no matter how far he runs, he can't outrun the pain and hurt of heartbreak.

Namjoon huffs, his mother notices his frustration and gives his a confused look. what was he so worked up about?
Namjoon
no reason. I was...I was just curious.
Namjoon smile flatly before he ran off to his room. He doesn't know why he asked. Actually he knows, but he should've have asked, now he's only starting to second guess things.
Namjoon smiles from ear to ear, he had to admit, it was nice to come home and hear Hoseok's voice before anything else. The older smiled over at him while Namjoon took steps closer to him.
Namjoon
do I? I used this really nice cologne this morning.
Yoongi lets out, giving Namjoon a pointed look. This ungrateful brat, How could he forget Yoongi's thoughtful gesture?
Namjoon
yeah, with my money.
Namjoon points out before he sits in the middle of the couch, between Yoongi and Hoseok. He felt comfortable, and safe as he laid in their unjudging gazes. There's nowhere he'd rather be right now.
Yoongi
eh, I'm still the one who bought it.
Namjoon rolls his eyes before he grabs Yoongi and pulls him closer, his head finds the shorter's neck and he nozzles at it a bit maybe Yoongi giggle.
Yoongi
Your hair is tickling me.
Namjoon
what are you guys doing?

you guys miss me that much? {smug smile}
Namjoon knows that, that was probably far from what they'd been talking about, really he's just trying to stall so that another argument wouldn't start because he's pretty sure he knew what had been talking about.
Yoongi

Namjoon smile, and lifts himself off Yoongi, trying to think of a way to get out of this conversation but he thinks he might be too late.

we've had this conversation so many times.
Namjoon whines and sits forward in the sofa, running a hand through his hair as he stared down at the simple rug beneath his feet.
Hoseok
why are you so afraid of having us meet your parents?
Hoseok just wants to understand why Namjoon was so against it, he's not trying force him or pressure him into but they've been together for almost 7 years and still he nor Yoongi have ever spoken to Namjoon's parents.
Yoongi
exactly, we won't do anything. we'll behave.
Namjoon
that's...that's not what I'm worried about.
Namjoon lets out softly, worrying Yoongi and Hoseok

can we just not talk about this right now?
Namjoon pleads, but Yoongi and Hoseok have seen him try to redirect conversations way too much to allow him to do that now. If they did they'd never get the answer they were looking for.

I brought food. let's go eat.
Namjoon smiles and stands from the, swiftly making his way to the kitchen where he had left all his bags. Hoseok looks to Yoongi giving him a look as to say, "Maybe we should leave him alone" but Yoongi only shakes his head and stands, making his way into the kitchen as well.
After a sigh, Hoseok joins them in the kitchen.
Yoongi
tell use why you're so against the idea of us having dinner with your parents

do they not want to meet us?
Hoseok
you said they were happy you found someone you loved so what's the matter?
the questions come one after the other, Namjoon stop untying the bag and just looks at them with a frustrated expression. why can't they just drop it.
Yoongi
what's complicated? it's just dinner.

Namjoon turns away towards the sink, how could he tell them? they'd probably be mad at him for weeks. He can't.
before Yoongi could finish, Namjoon speaks up.

Yoongi questions and he does a job ,asking his hurt but he could hear Hoseok's voice struggling not to break.
Namjoon
I never told them that we...that I'm dating two men. {look down}
Yoongi chuckles lowly, and he hates it. He knows what it means, the older's angry but he wasn't going to do or say anything, thats when the silence always got loud and he hates it. honestly he wishes Yoongi would stop.
Hoseok
are you embarrassed of us?
He looks at Hoseok with apologetic eyes, he could see the tears forming in the brunettes eyes, he just wants to hug him but he knows he can't, at least not right now.
Namjoon
I...of course not but my parents are...
Yoongi
no you are embarrassed.
Yoongi corrects, cutting Namjoon off. Namjoon looks down.

I swear I'm not, my parents just don't like the idea of polyamorous relationships.

and it doesn't help that they're also homophobic, there's nothing I can do.

if you weren't embarrassed you'd tell them regardless of their views.
He gets what they were saying but they were his parents, He loves them and if he tells them then he'd lose them but it seems if he doesn't tell the, then he'd lose his most precious gifts, the two before him.

I...they'll disown me.
Yoongi tries but Namjoon doesn't let him finish as he says, sternly.

Yoongi scoffs and just walks away, Honestly he doesn't care anymore.
Namjoon flinches as he hears the door of their shared room gets slammed, He shakes his head and looks down for a moment, waiting for Hoseok to say something.

I was planning on proposing...(chuckles)
Namjoon looks up at Hoseok, shocked. Propose? A smile forms on his face for a second but what Hoseok says next wipes it right off

Hoseok

Hoseok
I've brought you and Yoongi to my parents house more times than I can count, Yoongi's done the same. Both are parents weren't necessarily supportive but we still..(voice crack) we still took the chance.
Hoseok
It's been 7 years Namjoon, how long do you expect us to wait?

I've been with my parents since the day I was born Hoseok, how can you ask or even think to take that away from me.
Hoseok

Namjoon gulps and looks over at Hoseok.

Hoseok smiles in disbelief, at how aloof Namjoon was being about all this, like he didn't care that much. Hoseok rolls his eyes before he turns and leaves not whispering a goof night like he usually did, no kisses like he usually did. that's how Namjoon knows that he really did fūck up.
He sighs and leaves the food, his appetite lost in all the tantrums that rose seconds ago. He knows that the best thing for him to do right now was to give the others space.
He feels like he is being given a choice, and he refuses to choose but if he doesn't they'll choose for him and he can't let that happen, He doesn't know what he's gonna do but he knows he won't like it.
Hoseok
You're not sleeping, are you?
Hoseok asks as he sits on the bed, he looks down at Yoongi who turns from his side to his back with a sigh before he groaned.
Hoseok feels Yoongi's slim hands wrap around his waist pulling him down onto the bed. He giggles a bit before he snuggles closer to the smaller.
Yoongi
do you think he's coming in?
Yoongi
I feel selfish for wanting him to tell them but...it just...I don't know, it makes me feel so unimportant in his eyes.
Yoongi chuckles, feeling silly for saying that out loud.
Yoongi
and the worst part is, I know he loves us but he just...he loves his parents too.
Hoseok
I don't think he's gonna tell them about us.
Yoongi looks up into Hoseok's glistening eyes before he smiles at the younger sadly.

let's stop thinking about this. otherwise, we'll both cry ourselves to sleep.
Hoseok chuckles a bit before he leans in and pecks Yoongi's lips. not once, not twice but three times. it's corny, but it's their way of saying 'I love you' indirectly and Yoongi would never admit it but he loves it so much.

it can't be? they'd eventually stop all this pettiness, right?
He's scared to open the door and find out because there's a possibility he won't like what greets him. Hoseok and Yoongi were treating as though he was their visitor, or guest. they'd ignore his presence and really, he gets that they're hurt by his decision but still they could treat as their boyfriend.
He can't tell when's the last time either of them smiled at him, he's tried getting back on their good side but they were really upset, both their favorite food. tried joking with the, but still they'd leave the living room and go straight to the kitchen before he got home.
He shakes his hands a bit as he gives himself enough courage to open the door, and just as usual, they start scattering. rushing to get away from him. He feels tears brim at his eyes. He wishes they'd just stop and curse at him instead.
Namjoon
Can you guys just stop?
Hoseok stops moving around and looks up at him with a concerned expression, and eventually Yoongi does the same, with a sigh.
Hoseok
we're not avoiding you.
Namjoon
oh, really? then what the fūck are you doing?!
Yoongi
you know what? I'm done sugarcoating this.

you need to make a decision right now.

Namjoon feels his tears leave his eyes. Why couldn't they just understand that he needed them as much as he needed his parents. He doesn't want to make a decision.
He watches as Yoongi turns away, hugging hi,self tightly as if trying to suppress his tears, and he fails miserably. Hoseok moves closer and hugs Yoongi, burying his head in his hair and they both cry together and that just makes Namjoon cry more.
In a matter of minutes, Yoongi pulls himself together and he slowly moves himself out of Hoseok's grip. Namjoon watches as the shorter walked away to their bedroom. Once Yoongi disappeared behind the wall he looked to his, begging for understanding but Hoseok just looks away, seeming regretful. Why?
Namjoon would have continued, but then he sees Yoongi out of the corners of his eyes. He held 2 suitcases in his hand and he slowly pulled them towards Namjoon, who eyed him eyed him, questioningly.
Namjoon
What...What are you doing ?
Yoongi leaves the suitcases before Namjoon before he stepped back before Hoseok, who grabs his shoulder, soothingly. Namjoon was flabbergasted.
Yoongi
You can come back and get the rest of your clothes some other time. that's...that's all that would fit.
Namjoon chuckles, trying to mask the fact that he was just seconds away from break down, but any fool could see that, after his laugh died down his tears started to fall.
Namjoon
so you guys are just going to kick me out?
Namjoon
after all we've been through? I thought...
Yoongi

Namjoon

Namjoon looks to Hoseok, who's been quiet this entire time.
Namjoon
Hoseok please. I..I promise I'll tell them, eventually just...I can't right now.
Namjoon gulps and a sob leaves his mouth, he turns away from them and just continues crying. It's all happening so suddenly, he didn't think it would, at least not this soon.
he doesn't want to leave, he doesn't want to leave them. They can't do this to him.
Yoongi sighs, and he just pushes the suitcases over and a loud groan leaves his lips before he starts crying. He turns and walks up to Namjoon. His eyes widen when he feels Yoongi's arms snake around his waist and his shirt grows wet the more he hears sobs from Yoongi.
Yoongi
I don't...I thought that would help you make a decision.
Yoongi
I wasn't really going to let you leave...
Namjoon can't help but feel relieved.
Namjoon
you guys really planned this to get me to choose?
Yoongi
it's just me, I...I forced Hoseok and...
Yoongi doesn't get to finish before Hoseok defend him, taking a couple steps closer to them.
Hoseok
he's just scared joon...maybe even more than me.
it was a genuine question. He wants to know why they want him to tell his parents so bad. He doesn't think it that important but to them it was, and he'd have to take it seriously too, at least if he wanted a future with them and God knows he does.
Hoseok
he doesn't want to lose you.
Hoseok
we don't want to lose you...
Hoseok lets out, making eye contact with namjoon, who look looks away first.
Yoongi
he's right, I don't want to lose either of you but...I...I think I'm done trying to get you to tell your parents. it's selfish, in a way and I...I don't want to be selfish and take your parents from you.
Yoongi hates its only now after he was half way through the plan that his conscience got the best of him, he couldn't go through with it, the look on Namjoon face had been too much, the betrayal. it was unbearable so he gave in.
Yoongi
I'd probably regret it.
Yoongi
just...just promise me you'll tell them eventually.
He begs, lifting his head off Namjoon's chest so they could make eye contact.
Hoseok
and promise me, you won't leave us...even if you have to.
Namjoon watches as Hoseok takes more steps closer, and he closes his eyes thinking to himself, "how could I make them feel like I'd ever leave them?" He hate it. He never wants them to feel like that, ever.
Namjoon
I'd never. I promise you. I will never leave either of you.
Namjoon
I love you both so much.
He kisses Yoongi forehead before he looks over Hoseok, tilting his head so Hoseok would come closer, and he obliged letting Namjoon pull him into the hug. They all sigh, contented. feeling relaxed and calm. it's not resolved but at least they'd come to somewhat of an understanding.
Hoseok speaks into Yoongi neck, making him shiver before his lips curve into a smile and he whispers.
seconds later, his lips are being claimed by Namjoon's much plumper ones, and he welcomes them, pouting the second they slip away from his. His eyes snap open and he watches as Namjoon find Hoseok's lips kissing them passionately and he sighs fondly, watching them with pure adoration.
He loves sitting back and just watching them too be all cute and flirty with each other, it always excited him just how much they loved each other, it was almost like his personal guide on how to love both of them, how to be what they needed and the more time goes is the he messes up, but that just leaves room for growth and he's never afraid to learn from his mistakes; especially when it helps him be better for them, his lovers.
