It was late December when the duo AKU (Means Moon) held their last concert before the season of their debut album Moon God.

Everyone’s busy – interviews here and there, photoshoots and non stop guestings. The AKU duo Dylan and Sky were genuinely tired but loving the pressure they are feeling right now.

They’ve been together since 5th grade and since then they were training so hard to be recognized. It took them almost 5 years before they officially debuted, starting with 7 members, down to 5, 4 and there were just 2 of them left.

It was not inspiring to share, especially knowing the reason why the other supposed to be members were removed from the agency. There was Steve who’s fired due to a rumour that he used to be an “Only Fan” artist with scandals, Mason and James were both involved in a gang war during their student days – which was not tolerated by the citizens that was why they were removed even though the incident happened before they became a trainee. There was JJ, similar with Steve he was involved to an indi film where he played a role of a young **********. Even though it was artistically done, he was still removed from the group and the last one to leave was Yanku. Yanku was declined to debut simply because he fell in love with someone and even though it was not proven due to the dating ban for them he failed to debut as a member of AKU.

The night was still young and everyone was going wild as they gave their all during the encore. Dylan and Sky were performing “Moon” (Debut Single) and followed by “We Were Not Supposed To Kiss”.

The song “We Were Not Supposed To Kiss” is a mystery single included on their debut album that only those who attended the concert were able to hear.

Before they blast off for the last chorus there was a short moment of silence. Dylan was standing in the middle of the stadium, he was looking at Sky – running to him. As he was watching him running towards his direction Dylan recalled all of the struggles they had been and the sad night where he saw how hard Sky prayed to be where he is right now.

There was sadness, joy and a sudden heart explosion.

Everyone got frozen – even Dylan.

Just like how he went back down to the memory lane, he was snatched by the moment.

A sudden warm soft lips against him, a tight hug and a quiet moment.

“I just did!” Sky said in a soft voice after letting go of Dylan’s lips. They both looked at each other and a few seconds after the fireworks started to show.

They continued with the chorus and just like how they practised it – they gave their all.

Everyone was cheering, screaming their lungs out…

Love and acceptance was felt and received during the concert.

The concert and the launch of the album was a huge success. The kiss during the concert opened up such an opportunity for the two of them.

Dylan’s POV

After the first launch we were supposed to take a break, about 2-3 months. But, due to the huge success we are now handling back to back schedules and commitments. Soon after we were asked by our manager together with the COO and CEO of our company.

“How are my boys?” The CEO Mr. Park greeted us.

We greeted him back, hugged and had a few chats regarding life outside work.

“Well kiddos, what you have done during the last concert was extraordinary. It was brave and the result was extremely positive” he said.

I knew he was referring to the kiss during the encore.

“They both practised to make everything perfect that night, CEO Park and COO Khun. We are happy about the result and we are truly honoured by the recognition you are giving our team.” Manager Song said.

While I was busy showing a business smile, I looked at Sky – he was so bright and elated about the talk. I was busy looking at them when Sky suddenly pulled my hands.

“We will have a series, Dylan! We will have a project!” He was extremely happy that he ended up crying. I hugged him to give him comfort while I was still processing the news that they just gave.

We will be starring on a BL series produced by GXX TV, a known entertainment company who handles big stars, known for their high quality films and popular for their BL and GL Series.

Just like that, from a stolen kiss – now I will be on a show where I will be playing the role of my duo’s lover.

In order for us to build a good connection, the company decided for us to live in the same unit as early as the workshop stage. At first I was dead worried about the idea, but as soon as we started living together nothing was really unusual due to our busy schedule.

We rarely meet during the preparation stage for the series. We were both busy completing prior commitments in preparation for this project.

We never had a chance to exchange words, but as usual whenever we meet for work he’s been bright and warm.

Our team drives for about 45 mins from my first commitment and heads to GXX TV for the first read out. While getting a cup of coffee for myself and resting for a bit I heard a very familiar voice calling my name. When I looked around I saw Yanku, my good old friend Yanku who’s now a rising soloist/actor of GXX TV.

He hugged me and congratulated the success of AKU…

“Congratulations as well, I haven’t seen your series “Given” just yet hahaha I am waiting for the complete episodes to be released first.” I jokingly told him.

We were roommates back in our trainee days and he kind of knew some of my traits already. I am close with Sky but I got to spend more time with Yanku growing due to some projects we were signed up with before.

“Well our roles here will be pretty intense my dear ex-lover” he gazed at me and moved closer.

“Looking forward to it Mr. Noah Lee” I leaned forward too.

We were frozen for a moment and laughed like crazy bastards after.

“”That was too cringey” he said while wiping his tears from laughing so hard.

“Now look at you two… Having fun without me”

Yanku and I looked behind us when we were surprised that Sky was really close to us already.

This brings a very good old feeling. We were so energetic and elated for working together again. The producers were so impressed and the other artists felt the same way.

It was such an advantage for me really to work with them. Yanku as my ex-lover was not bad at all too since we were really close.

Sky’s POV

We’ve been shooting for the series for almost a month now. Although we no longer have too many projects aside from this I felt like Dylan and I were both growing apart.

I just finished my VXLive and decided to get out of the waiting room for a while. I heard the director shout “ EP 12 Scene 55 take 9 ACTION!” I was about to laugh when I realised, scene 55 is the part where they are showing a back story of the lead guy and his ex-lover. They take it in different angles, which could be the reason why they are at take 9 already.

Where –

“This was a good intimate exchange of kisses between Dylan and Yanku! GOOD TAKE!” the director shouted.

I saw them exchange kisses right in front of me. It was just part of the script however.

“Mr. Chen, let me fix your makeup. You are up next” the lady approached me and started fixing my look for the next part that we will be shooting.

“Wow, you must be internalising Mr. Chen, your eyes are turning red already…” She gave me a sweet smile.

“I am actually nervous hahaha (I opened up my eyes which made the makeup artist laugh)” I looked at her and smiled too.

“Knock Knock!!! Are we disturbing you two or something?” Yanku jokingly asked. The make up artist blushed and explained her heart out. Dylan was there too, I think I saw from a distance that he was looking at us.

When I looked at him I saw the kissing from earlier and it made me feel uncomfortable, it kinda makes me feel difficult to breathe.

I went out, as I passed him I heard him say break a leg but I just ignored him.

I prepared my guitar while everyone’s preparing their things too. I was so focused that I didn't notice that Dylan followed me.

As the director gave the signal we all started feeling the emotions and the scene we all had to portray.

The breakup scene, where I am in the room where my lover (Dylan’s role) first met and had our confession. In the stormy stage of our relationship, the break up part. I have to sing one of the OSTs for the series.

I was looking at him while singing, I think I was able to portray what was expected. I continued singing even though there was a bit of voice cracking because I was crying.

As I was getting closer to ending the song I looked at him again. I closed my eyes as I sang I wish I didn't love you. It'll be easier.

When the song ended, the director called for a good take.

I heard people around me cheering. I couldn't see them yet as I was still crying.

I felt a tight hug before lifting my head and heard a familiar voice whisper “I am sorry”

I looked up and it was Dylan, he wiped my tears and buried me to his chest.

That moment I told myself the last line from the song Never Let You Go…
