Help me! Someone, anyone, help me! My heart was racing as my paws pounded the cold, hard ground, and my breaths formed mini clouds in front of me. I wish I had listened to mom. Please make them go away! Mother always said not to shift into a wolf without supervision, because bad people would come for me. Sadly I didn't believe her. As I was remembering the countless warnings my mom gave me, a sharp pain pierced my thigh. I didn't know what it was, but I started to get tired. My legs buckled from beneath me and as my eyes drifted shut, I saw a group of people smiling down at me.
I sat up in bed, breathing heavily, cold sweat pouring down my face. It was that dream again. Of the time when I was six years old and I had gotten kidnapped by some lackeys of a witch. It was thanks to the GPS in my choker that saved me, but not before I received the scars that adorn my neck and torso. After my heart calmed down, I looked at my alarm clock- 5:30 A.M. I should start getting ready for the first day of school. Heading to my en suite, I quickly took a shower and got dressed. As I turned to exit my room, the smell of bacon assaulted my nose.
Walking down the stairs, I could tell it was my mom from her apples and cinnamon scent. Because I can turn into a dragon and a ten tailed wolf, my senses are heightened, so I associate people by their different smells. Upon hearing me enter the kitchen, my mother turned around to look at me. Her eyes showed her concern, and not for the first time, I'm glad that I couldn't hide anything from her.
"The dream again?" She asked as she sat a plate of crispy bacon and fluffy eggs in front of me.
"I can't hide anything from you, can I?" I muttered, biting a piece of bacon off. The edges of the bacon were crunchy while the inside was chewy, and the flavor left your mouth watering and your stomach wanting more. Mom was the best cook.
"You can with some things, but with this, you look like you saw a ghost. Do you want to talk about it?" She sat beside me at the counter with two cups of coffee, one with cream and sugar for her, and one black for me.
I sighed. "It was from nine years ago when I was first kidnapped. I wished I had believed you sooner. Maybe this could have all been avoided." Picking up my fork, I started pushing my eggs around the plate, my appetite was gone. I looked up and noticed my mom was eyeing my outfit.
"Andrew, are you really going to wear that today?" She inquired. My outfit was a pair of black ripped skinny jeans, black combat boots, a band t-shirt, my studded choker, my long dragon and wolf necklace and to finish it off, my cuffed dragon ear ring. Rolling my eyes, I stood up to take care of my dishes.
"Yes, I am. By the way, don't you need to be at the hospital by 6:30 A.M?" I asked, picking up my backpack. Kissing her on her cheek, I headed out the door to start my walk to school. My sister, Alexandra, would often drive my adoptive brothers and I to school; but today, I just wanted to be alone.
Fifteen minutes later, I was walking through the front doors of Northwood High School. This four story red brick building was one hundred and fifty years old, and is considered one of the best schools; but most of the students didn't like those who are different. Taking a deep breath, I prepared myself for a living hell. As I was walking to my locker, people stopped to look at me, and pretty soon the whispering started. Man did I hate the whispering. It's not like I can't hear them or anything. This is the downside of having heightened senses- you can hear everything!
"Just another freak." A new student asked.
"Did he get dental implants?" Another one wondered.
We got a lot of new faces this year, but by the year's end they will be under the influence of the other students here. There goes my first impression. I thought gloomily.
"Just ignore them. The year will go a lot faster if you do." My adoptive brother, and best friend, Josh said as I slammed my locker shut. Looking up, I saw that Adam, and the twins Damian and Dominic were with him. My parents were best friends with theirs, so when they passed away during a fight with vampires, mom and dad took them in since they had no other relatives. That was nine years ago when I was six.
I gave a forced smile and pulled my backpack higher on my shoulder. "Easier said than done. You know they won't stop. They never do." I sighed remembering last year. The school had a group consisting of five bullies that kept beating me up until I threw a punch back, which landed one of them in the hospital. I have a bad feeling about this year.
The ringing of the bell filled the halls. Groaning, we headed to our first class, AP World History with Mr. Lite. Most of the seats in the front were already taken, so we took the five in the back. I decided to take out my sketchbook to continue my current drawing. It was of two wolves howling at the moon while in the woods.
"That looks amazing! How long have you been drawing?" The girl in front of me asked. My eyes widened in surprise as the unknown female voice filled my ears. I looked up to see a girl with ginger hair, green eyes and freckles on her nose, staring at me. As I was about to open my mouth to reply, the teacher walked in and the class started.
By the time we got to the cafeteria, it was already crowded with most of the tables filled. We grabbed our plates and went to sit outside where it was quieter. Taking out my phone, I decided to send a quick text to Nigel, one of my four godfathers.
Andrew: Still up for afternoon training?
Nigel: Yeah, but I'm not going to tell you what it is. I want to see how you adjust to different situations.
Andrew: Not cool.
Nigel: You'll thank me later.
Grumbling, I put my phone down to finish my picture. Nigel, Nixis, Umbra, and Donatello were my four godfathers, and they were also dragons. Apparently, they were old family friends going back two hundred years, so my mom and dad dubbed them as our godfathers. They were also my teachers when it comes to self-defense.
Nixis teaches aikido, Umbra instructs krav maga, Nigel teaches about blades, ranging from daggers to the katana, and Donny is a doctor in case something happens during my lessons. I was so absorbed in my thoughts that I didn't notice two new people sitting beside me. It was the girl from class, and a guy who looked a lot like her.
"Hi! Your drawing looks so realistic! By the way, my name is Amber, and this is my twin brother, Jacob. Sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier." Amber said. She had such a smooth voice that you could listen to it for hours.
"It's fine. My name is Andrew, and this is Josh, Adam, Damian, and Dominic." As I called their names, they smiled and waved. I had a small smile on my face at this pleasant change. Guess the others hadn't gotten to them. Maybe this semester will be different. I thought as two new people joined our little group.
"So what class do you have next?" Jacob asked around a mouthful of fries. Amber playfully punched his shoulder while muttering about 'lack of manners.'
"P.E, how about you?" I asked while adding shadows to the trees. With a smile on my face, I signed the bottom corner of the page and ripped it out. This was one of my more detailed pieces and was one that I was extremely proud of.
"I have P.E as well, but Amber has art." Jacob replied. After a couple of minutes he continued. "You're an odd one. The other students say crazy things about you, but you act completely different in person." I dropped the fry that was in my hand and sighed.
As I was about to pack my things to leave, my phone rang. Looking at the caller I.D I saw that it was Nixis. Not knowing what to expect, I answered the call.
Andrew: "What's up? You normally don't call during school."
Nixis: "Nigel had something come up. Training is cancelled."
Andrew: "What came up? You normally don't cancel training, no matter what."
Nixis: "It's about the clan. I don't know what it is exactly, but he'll be going to the mountains for a bit. He said to let you focus on school for the time being. Sorry."
Andrew: "No, it's fine. The clan comes first. I understand."
Nixis: "Alright, then I'll let you go. See you in a bit. Bye."
Andrew: "Yeah, bye."
With a sigh, I closed my phone and laid my head on the picnic table. "Training is cancelled." I replied to the eyes I felt staring at me. Lifting my head up, I got my things together just as the bell rang. Getting up, I placed the picture that I was working on by Amber's tray. She looked at it in awe.
"Because you liked it so much." I told her as I walked to the gym to get ready for my next class. Inside the changing room, all the guys were talking about how the class was going to go. Changing into the mandatory basketball shorts, v-neck t-shirt, and sneakers, I went into the gymnasium. Making a v-neck shirt mandatory for P.E made no sense to me, but it's not something that I could control.
Joining Josh and the others on the bleachers, we waited for the teacher to explain the class for today. Upon the announcement of us doing the mile run, everyone groaned. Well, everyone except Josh, Adam, the twins and me. They often joined me during my training or when I go for a run. I often do three miles, but depending on my mood, I can do five. This was going to be too easy.
The teacher put a small dot on our hands after each lap, to help keep track of who completed it and who didn’t. After I got my four dots, I decided to continue running, so by the end of the class, I had ten dots symbolizing my two and a half miles. While I was thinking about running an additional two and a half miles after school, I made my way to my last two classes. When school was over, the guys and I decided to swing by Sonic to get a snack on the way home.
Walking through the door, you could sense that something was happening. You could almost cut the excitement with a butter knife. Mom was busy cooking in the kitchen and dad was getting the backyard ready for company. Exactly who I had no idea, but we would find out sooner or later. I walked into the kitchen to throw my Sonic cup away and also greet my mother.
"Hey mom. Who's coming over?” I asked while giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. Whatever she had in the oven smelled amazing. And I didn’t hesitate to tell her.
“Thanks honey. A friend of your father is coming over with his son. It’s been a while since we could sit with them without talking about work. They should be here in about twenty minutes, so why don’t you freshen up and relax a bit?” My mother informed me while taking the food from the oven. It turned out to be barbequed chicken that looked so moist and delicious, and on top of that, the smell of spices weren’t overwhelming in the slightest. Pure heaven. Giving mom another kiss on the cheek, I went upstairs to take a quick shower and to start my homework.
Having all AP classes is going to be a pain. We have to do a report on any event in history, an insane amount of calculus, an essay in english, and writing down facts about all the elements of the periodic table for chemistry. Oh what fun it is to be in high school.
I had decided to start with my math when my mother called me for dinner. Finishing the problem that I was working on, I headed downstairs to join everyone else outside. Mr. Deus was the police chief at the station that my father worked at, and he was also a family friend. It wasn’t uncommon for him to come over after work, but this is the first time that I’m seeing his son. He looked a lot like his father with short curly copper colored hair, brown eyes, and a light dusting of freckles on his cheeks, plus he looked to be around our age.
“Antonio! Marcus!” My father’s booming voice rang from the back door. He walked up to Mr. Deus and pulled him into a bear hug, then he clasped Marcus on the shoulder and commented on how big he got. After my dad greeted them, he introduced us to Marcus and we all headed to the backyard.
“So Andrew, how have the last couple years been for you? I know that we haven’t seen a lot of each other in the past five years.” Mr. Deus asked out of nowhere. When I finished chewing on a piece of chicken, I answered his question.
“Really good. The lessons with my godfathers are going well, and two new students decided to sit with us at lunch. Plus it’s a bonus that no one has tried to abduct me in the five years since the last time. I’m really grateful that you had found me.” And that’s not a lie. If Mr. Deus hadn’t found me at that time, then I wouldn’t be sitting here. Of all the times that I was kidnapped, the one five years ago was the closest to killing me.
“So you were the one from the kidnapping case five years ago! I heard dad talking to mom about it. He said that was one of the worst cases he’s had to do.” Marcus piped in for the first time. His eyes held a faint glow of sympathy towards me, and that was a look that I didn’t want to see for a long time.
Trying to get out of this conversation because it could be considered ‘work related’ I decided to do a subject change. “Mom, do you mind if I go do my homework? I have four AP classes this year and the homework is already piled up to my neck.” This wasn’t a lie either. Four sets of AP homework is going to be a fun challenge for me. Regular classes were too easy, so I was always the top student in the grade, even when I was stuck in a hospital bed for most of Middle School.
“If that’s what you really want, then it’s ok. Just remember not to stay up too late.” Was my father’s reply. He smiled at me, signaling that he understood that I was uncomfortable at the moment, and I was grateful that he could read any situation just as well as mom could. Not only did they help redirect different conversations or situations, but they could also tell when I was at my social limit. Because I was in and out of the hospital so much, I had my assignments brought to me, so I had low social skills. My parents helped with this over the summers, and soon, I could function like any other person my age, but I still got overwhelmed when conversations became about my past.
“Thanks dad. Dinner was amazing as always mom.” I said kissing both their cheeks. Turning to Mr. Deus and Marcus, I bid them a good night and went back to my room. Looking at the clock, I saw that it was 7:30 P.M. The history and english papers weren’t due until next Friday, so I still had a week and a half to complete them. With that in mind, I decided to direct my focus back onto my calculus and chemistry. After two and a half long hours, I was done with both classes. Putting my work away, I got ready for bed and went to sleep.
A week has passed and no one has tried to start any kind of drama about me yet. I was glad that it was going like this, and I wish that it would stay this way, but my luck wouldn’t allow it. As the final bell of the day rang and everyone rushed to leave the classroom, I was the last one to go. Nigel had returned yesterday and the training was harder than normal. It had left my body sore and drained of energy, which I’m feeling twice as bad today. Walking out of the room, the hallways were deserted except for a few teachers doing a few last minute things.
Normally the guys would head home without me because I would go and run for a bit before heading home, which is what I did today. Going to a nature trail that was twenty minutes away, I walked up to the information desk to drop my bag off. Nigel knows the owner of the trails here, so they let me keep my bag in the information booth. Pulling out my phone I sent a text to my sister stating that I was going for a run and that they should start dinner without me. After the text was sent, I started playing my running playlist. Depending on what I was doing, I had a playlist for everything: running, the gym, self-defense training, and homework. They helped me focus on whatever I am doing at the time.
It took a little over two hours to complete the two mile run, and the sun was beginning to set. Grabbing my bag from the entrance, I started my walk home. Walking at night wasn’t my favorite thing to do, but I had to admit that it was relaxing. Being outside at night always had me worried about vampires, but I’ve always loved the moon and stars. I guess it was my wolf side coming through.
It took about forty-five minutes to walk home, so I grabbed some McDonalds to eat on the way. When I turned onto my street, the hairs on the back of my neck stood on end. Something wasn’t right. I smelled the air, and the scent of blood was strong. Vampires. If it wasn’t something to do with school, it had something to do with a creature wanting my blood. Dragon’s blood had a lot of uses for witches, and it was a delicacy for vampires. Using my magic to make a dagger appear in my hand, I continued walking with all of my senses fully heightened.
When I saw my three story mini-mansion style house in sight, I picked up my pace. If there was going to be trouble, I didn’t want it to involve me or my family. Best to be out of the picture when the blood suckers were concerned. Reaching my door, I sighed with relief. I made it. Putting my dagger away, I walked in and headed to the kitchen. Mom was cleaning, so I put my backpack down and started helping her with the dishes. She looked up and gave me a sideways hug.
“Hey honey. How was your run?” My mother asked as I dried a plate that she handed to me. Shrugging my shoulders, I told her about my day. I love moments like these with her, because she has this way of making you relaxed when you talk.
You see, there are some people who have a special type of blood that allows them to have a special ability. A long time ago, people started calling these people Pure Bloods, because as time went on, the concentration of the blood faded. My family is one of the few who possess a high concentration of it. Which is a possible reason for me being born with both a dragon and an ayakashi. My father has enhanced strength, mom has the ability to bring a sense of calm over people, and Alexandra has healing. Dad isn’t insanely strong, but he is stronger than most men, and I love the wrestling matches we used to do when I was first learning self-defense. Both Alex and mom work at the nearby hospital because of their personalities, and the fact that they can use their abilities to the fullest there.
Upon hearing about the vampires outside, she made me promise that I would stay indoors for the rest of the evening. No complaints there. I still needed to do homework, and I wanted to be able to relax a bit before going to bed. Giving my mother a kiss on the cheek, I said goodnight and headed upstairs to start on my work. Sighing, I put my pencil down and stretched. The homework was finally done, and I could start on the drawing that’s been playing in my head for the past couple days. It was going to be a dragon wrapped around a wolf while they slept. I wanted it to represent yin and yang, like with the dragon and wolf inside of me.
It isn’t easy having two different species living inside of you. Add on the fact that they are both dangerous and considered the most dominant within their respective races, and you have a recipe for trouble. That’s the main reason why I have really bad anger. My dragon, Magnus, and my wolf, Nightmare. Despite this fact, I have been able to make them work together without tearing my mental state to shreds. It was around ten p.m. now, so I decided to take a quick shower and go to bed.
“Wakey, wakey. It’s time to open your eyes now.” A cold, sinister voice called in the dark. Opening one eye, I saw that it was a young woman who spoke. I saw that she held a bloody knife in her hand and the memories from the night before rushed back to me. I was at the park sketching when someone knocked me out from behind. After a couple more seconds, I felt searing pain all over my body. Looking down, I saw long red gashes that were in the process of healing. Man, did I hate people like her. Those that believe they can do whatever they want to others and get away with it. Whether it’s torture, or doing illegal experiments, they seem to love coming after me. I might only be ten years old, but I have already been kidnapped more times than I can count. My head felt heavy, and I couldn’t keep it up anymore, so as I let it fall down, I saw big bowls below me filling with my blood. Great. Someone else who wants to take my blood for who-knows-what. Unable to stay conscious, I let myself fall into a pain-free slumber.
I woke up in a cold sweat. Again. This was the second nightmare in two weeks, and it was beginning to piss me off. Normally they wouldn’t bother me, so the reason as to why I am having more now, is beyond me. Checking the clock by my bed, I saw that it was 6:30 a.m. Getting up, I did my morning routine and headed downstairs for breakfast. Upon entering the kitchen, my mother gave me a knowing look, but I just shook my head. It was too early to do this again. After breakfast, I grabbed a monster from the fridge and headed out to the car so Alex could drive us to school.
“I think you need to talk to Donatello.” Alex said out of nowhere.
“All he’s going to do is prescribe something to help me sleep. That and counseling, but you know how that went the last time.” I really didn’t want this conversation this early, but knowing my sister, she won’t let this go. She was the type to pursue a situation until it was solved, but this isn’t something that can be fixed with meds and talking to someone. Letting it go for now, Alex drove us the rest of the way in silence.
“Talk to Donny today. Anything is better than nothing.” Was Alexandra’s reply as we pulled up to the school building.
“Alright, I’ll talk to him. But no promises.” I replied with a sigh. Getting out of the car, I grabbed my backpack and headed inside to start another long day. As I walked to my first class, I spotted Amber and Jacob. Amber shared four out of five of our classes, and Jacob only shared one; but despite that, we became quick friends. Walking down the hall towards them, I heard some of the other students whispering while looking in my direction. Clenching my fist around my backpack strap, I ignored them the best I could until I reached my friends.
“You look horrible.” Amber said when I stopped in front of them.
“Thanks for the compliment. I feel so much better.” Was my sarcastic reply. Right now, I didn’t want to talk to anyone, but I didn’t want to give them another reason to worry about me. I didn’t like the attention, and I was willing to do anything to avoid it. The day went by like usual, and when P.E rolled around, I was exhausted. The lack of sleep last night was catching up with me, and it was hitting me hard.
“Alright, everyone! Today we will be playing soccer. You’ll split into teams of five and aim for five goals. The first team to get five goals wins and then the teams will switch out. Any questions? No? Then pick your teams!” Coach Hendrics was very excited because soccer was his favorite sport and he was the coach for the school’s soccer team. As the others gathered into their teams, Adam, Josh, Damian, Dominic, and I formed our own team. The coach put us as one of the first two teams, so we decided to have Josh as the goalie.
About thirteen minutes into the game, the score was two to one with my team winning, when I started getting really dizzy. Kicking the ball to Damian, I took a few deep breaths to get it under control, then I rejoined the game. As I ran to catch up, I lost my balance and fell. On my way down, I twisted my right hand trying to catch myself, but with no luck. Collapsing on the ground, I tried to breathe to calm the spinning in my head, but it was no use. I heard the guys calling my name as my vision gets blurry, and a couple seconds later, I passed out.
When I came to, I saw the guys standing over me. I guessed it was to make sure no one disturbed me, and it made me smile. They were pretty laid back, but when it comes to me, they turn into mother hens. We’ve been best friends since we were little, and all of the ups and downs that we’ve been through only strengthened that bond.
Sitting up, I laughed at their surprised looks. I know that this was the first time that I lost consciousness at school, but could they not act like this is the first time ever? After they recovered, all of them started talking at the same time.
Adam: “What the hell happened?”
Damian: “Are you okay?”
Josh: “You need to talk to Donny!”
Dominic: “...”
“I’m okay, you guys. Calm down.” I said while chuckling. “By the way, how much time is left in the class?” As I said this, I pulled my phone out of my pocket.
Dominic: “Fifteen minutes left. You were unconscious for about twenty minutes. Gave us quite a scare.” This was the reply that I got. Dominic was the quietest one out of the five of us. Josh was the cautious one, Adam and Damian were the jokers, and I was the reckless one with a bad temper.
Nodding my head, I unlocked my phone and dialed Donatello. I knew that he was working right now, but once he saw that it was me calling, he wouldn’t hesitate to answer. After the third ring, the call went through.
Donny: “What’s up? You usually don’t call me unless you need something.” The voice that answered sounded cautious. Like I would ask him for something insane, for example five thousand dollars.
“Everything is okay except for the fact that I just passed out at school. The family has been telling me to talk to you, so here I am talking to you.”
Donny: “Okay. Well do you know what caused you to collapse? What led up to it?” As if sensing that I was getting a migraine, his deep voice was slow and soothing.
“Um, yeah. I’ve had two nightmares in two weeks. Usually I would be fine after them, but for some reason, these just leave me exhausted.” I explained what they’ve been about while rubbing my head. The next couple classes are going to be a pain in the ***.
Donny: “Alright, I’ll look into it and see what I can do for you. For the time being, I’ll give you something to help you sleep. And before you say anything, these are made specifically for dragons. They should help some.” The tone of his voice left no room for arguments.
“Alright. I guess I’ll be seeing you tonight then?” I really wasn’t looking forward to the medication, but I would do anything to make my family happy. With this being said, we ended the call in time for the bell to ring.
Going into the locker room, I went into a separate stall to change. While I was changing, I thought about how I couldn’t afford to go to the hospital for something like this. My first period was A.P History with Mr. Lite, second was PE with Coach Hendrics, third was A.P Biology with Mr. Heidler, my fourth was A.P Calculus with Mrs. Stone, and my fifth was A.P English Literature with Mrs. Lewis. Even though they would understand the reasoning, if I missed even three days, I would be screwed. I might be excellent in school, but these Advanced Placement classes were no walk in the park.
After changing, we rushed down the hallways to Mr. Heidler’s class. We had a test today, and we couldn’t be late. Mr. Heidler was one of the few teachers who didn’t accept late students. At least not ones without a written excuse or note that’s been approved. We ran until we saw the classroom door. Picking up the pace, we entered the room and took our seats just in time for the start-of-class bell. The tests were passed out and then silence engulfed the room.
By the time the class was half over, everyone was done with the test. Since Mr. Heidler didn’t have anything else planned, everyone did their own thing. I was in the process of drawing a forest when the intercom came on.
“Andrew Slate to the office, please. Andrew Slate to the office. Thank you.” The speaker crackled off and everyone returned to their activities. Packing up my bag, I left the room to go to the front office.
Walking into the room, I saw Donatello standing by the desk. He was busy talking to Ms. Lee, the secretary, but I knew that he knew I was there. After he was done talking to her, he turned to me and handed me a water bottle.
Donny: “I came to bring you something for your headache.” He said this while handing me two capsules. Taking the pills, I gave him a curious look.
“How did you know that I had a headache? I didn’t tell you when I called you thirty minutes ago.” I said before swallowing the medication.
Donny: “Dominic texted me. Also, you normally get one every time you collapse. It’s become something to expect.” Learning that Dom was the one who texted him made sense. Even though he doesn’t talk much, he usually notices more than others. I could say ‘I’m fine’ until I’m blue in the face, but he’ll be able to notice the lie every time.
“Thanks for coming, Donny. I really appreciate it.” The dragonroot that he gave me was already working, and my head was feeling a little better. Nodding his head, Donatello said goodbye and left to go back to work. Heading back into the hallway to return to class, I was stopped by my least favorite group of people. Trevor, Jaden, and Killian live to make my life harder. They’re the first ones to start trouble for me, and the first to spread rumors.
My headache wasn’t completely gone, so I wasn’t in any mood to see them. As they came closer, my hands clenched into fists and my fingernails lengthened into short claws. This group of three have been causing problems for as long as I could remember. Even though I haven’t been to school for most of elementary or middle school, they still managed to harass me.
Trevor: “Hey, Fang Face! What are you looking at?” He said once he was in front of me.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” I retorted while walking by.
Killian: “Where are you going so fast? Trev wants to talk to you.” He said while placing his hand on my shoulder. Jaden placed a hand on my other shoulder, and I stiffened.
“Let go. NOW!” I said in a low voice. One of the things that I do not like is people touching me without my permission.
Trevor: “And what will you do if we don’t?” The smirk on his face was the last straw needed to make me absolutely furious.
Taking Killian’s wrist in my right hand, I spun around until I was behind him, breaking Jaden’s grip in the process. Pulling his arm up his back, I pushed on the back of his knees, knocking Killian down. Grabbing his hair in my left hand, I bashed Killian’s face into the red and white checkered linoleum floor. I lifted his head up just as the secretary rushed out of the office. She had seen everything, but was not fast enough to stop the end result. The principal came out after Ms. Lee to separate the other two while Ms. Lee tried to persuade me to let go of Killian.
Letting him go, he crawled away from me as fast as he could. Blood gushed from his nose, and his eyes were wide with fear. Not wasting this time, he turned to Principal Ross and told her everything. After sending him to the infirmary, Principal Ross and Ms. Lee took Trevor and Jaden into the office. Once they were out of my sight, I went back to Mr. Heidler’s class.
