" My dear daughter, I hope you wake up soon"

A man in his 50's was sitting beside the bed of a young woman who was sleeping peacefully on the hospital bed.Her face was pale, eyelids shut, lips sealed...not even a slightest movement was seen in her.

There was many medical equipments attached to her body to keep her heart beating...or you can say to keep her alive.

Though it was a hospital room but it didn’t look like one.The bedsheets were white and neatly tucked.The room was glowing with bright sun rays flowing through the big glass window and a mild fragrance filled the entire room.

No... it was not the smell of disinfectant, but the smell of roses.Beautiful fresh roses. The room was decorated with roses in flower pots.

"See Evelyn, i have bought your favourite flowers like always". The man said in a half broken tone. "Please wake up and look." Tears rolled down his cheeks.

A man was watching all this through the glass door.He remembered she loved flowers, every morning she used to pluck them to decorate the house with it. She used to decorate each and every flower vase with her own hands.And the sweet smell used to flood the whole house Though at first he found it useless and waste of time but gradually he liked it.

He came out of his thoughts and stood there with a cold and expressionless face.He watched them for sometime and without uttering a single word or entering inside he left.

It has become a part of his regular routine now.. Everyday before going to work he stops by, looks at her through the glass door, and leaves quietly.

All the hospital staffs have become familiar with this for these past five years.

Yes five long years... Evelyn has been lying on this hospital bed and Leon has been visiting her.

Five years of their marriage and five years of their staying apart.

Life has been unfair to both of them. An arranged marriage, two completely different persons bound together by their parents and forced to spend their lives together .Though at first they had problem to communicate...but gradually they started to grow feelings for eachother. Love had just started to bloom in their lives when suddenly a tragic accident shattered everything. Leaving behind a father with a broken heart and a husband surrounded with loneliness.

Leon had tried everything to cure her, to wake her up from this neverending dream...but failed.

He has turned into a person no one recognises.He doesn’t complain...only waits... a neverending wait...when she will wake up?

Fate...was it really their fate? Were they fated to meet? Were they fated to be together? If yes...then why are they apart? Why inspite of being together they are so far away?

Leon came out of the hospital got into his car and asked his driver to go to the company.

Somewhere in another country a girl wearing white doctors coat and a stethoscope tucked in her coat pocket was walking in the corridor. She was heading towards the

hospital heads office, when someone called her from behind .

"Doctor Gianna". She called out.It was a junior doctor who worked with her. "I heard you are quitting? Is it true?". The girl in white coat smiled and answered " Yes...you heard it right ".......

"But Why? You are the most famous and the best doctor of our hospital. And that too at such a young age. Then why are you leaving? Pardon me for asking but aren’t they paying you well?" She said in a soft voice.

The girl smiled and said politely " No no..thats not the case." Then she whispered in her ears " actually it is personal" she again smiled and said to her " I am going back home."

Saying that she turned and continued to walk towards her destination. She came infront of a big glass door an asked permission to enter." Sir, may i come in."A man wearing round rim glasses looked at her, and with a smile asked her to enter ."Dr Gianna...come in...have a seat."

She came in and took the seat infront of his table opposite to him.He already knew the reason of her visit.Gianna took out a white envelope and handed over to him.Seeing it he sighed and said " Have you thought it through? If you want we can grant you few months leave...you can come back and join."

She politely smiled and said " Thankyou sir for your offer, but i have planned to stay there from now on."

He gave up and said " It is useless arguing with you, once when you have made up your mind you will surely act like wise but remember if you ever want to return you are always welcome.We will be delighted to take you back. Then he said jokingly...Afterall you are our best doctor. "

She smiled and thanked him for his gratefulness. "Of course i will remember that."

By the way which hospital you will be joining there?"." The City Hospital " "Well...all the best. " She thanked him bowed and left from there.

It has been two years since she is working here and everyone loves her, not inly because of her job but also her lively nature. Her bright smile lightens up everyones heart.Not only the staffs but the patients also love her.

Rest of the day Zoya was busy makeing arrangements and packing her things. She had finished packing all her things except for the thing that was most dear to her heart.It was a photo frame which she had kept carefully beside her bed. She held it in her hand and looked at the picture in it and her eyes were moist.

"I missed you all these years...i am sorry for not being there for you.But I'm coming back now..and promise I'll never leave your side again." One could see love and determination in her eyes.She kissed the picture and placed it carefull in her bag and zipped it.

Gianna was a young and famous doctor, and has worked hard to reach where she stands now. Away from her dear ones she has struggled alone, but she had too for the most precious person in her life. She has waited for a long time and now finally that wait is over, now finally she can return home. Return to the person she loves the most.

Gianna was standing in her balcony staring at the setting sun while thinking about all this when suddenly her phone rang.She quickly composed herself and picked it up." Hello.. Uncle."The person on the other side of the phone said with a happy voice." Anna. what time is your flight? I'll be there to pick you up."

She left a small giggle and said " Uncle.. you still treat me as a little child. But your Anna has grown up now. Don't worry i can come alone."

" I know you have grown up..but you will always be my sweet little Anna." I'll pick you up and then we'll go to meet Evelyn. "

Hearing her name a flash of pain crossed her heart but she ignored it and said " Yes.... Don't worry I'll be there on time, see you tomorrow. Good Night."

She ended the call and went in to finish her packing.

Next morning she got up early and after getting ready she left for the airport. Gianna was both happy as well as nervous... it has been five years since she has been away.And now she was somewhat a bit scared... scared to face the present.

A black Mercedes came and stood infront of a big company. A man quickly rushed out of the car and opened the back door. Leon stepped out of the car wearing formal black suit and stepped into the building.

He noticed each and every detail of the office while making his way to the elevator.Everything was in perfect order, even the staffs. Everyone was present there to greet him, cause they knew this man liked perfection.

It has been the same for the last five years.The cold, icy, expressionless face has remained the same.

Leon got on his private elevator while his assistant explained his schedule for the day.He has always had a busy schedule and he doesn't like to waste time. He always keep himself immersed in work. May be to forget about his pain and loneliness.For him the day passes in the wink of an eye.

But when he returns home at night to his empty bedroom, each and every second seems difficult to spend.It is like a neverending wait. And he hates to go back home. He Doesn't remember how many nights he has spend in his office.

The elevator reached the top floor and he entered his office, his Secretary ready to greet him, and the files ready on the table.As soon as he sat on his chair his assistant placed a cup of coffee infront of him. It was as he preferred strong and raw. Everything was in order cause everyone was aware of his nature and they didn’t want to loose their jobs cause it paid them well.

" I want all the presentations ready by tomorrow, and arrange a meeting for tomorrow afternoon , I'll check them myself and then decide." Leon said to his Secretary." Yes Sir" She replied and left.

" Sir your flight is at eight thirty tonight." his assistant informed him. " Ok, pick me up from home and tell aunt May to arrange my luggage. Is everything prepared, the papers?Leon asked to his assistant . " "Yes Sir everything is ready." he replied. He didn’t utter a single word cause he knew he could trust him... Ryan has been working for him for the past six years.He has always been faithful to him.He has seen all the up and down in his life and has always stayed by his side. One can say he is the only friend he has now.

The plane landed in M city and Gianna came out of the airport.She saw her uncle waving his hand at a distance with a bright smile on his face.This warm smile, how long has it been since she has seen it.

After leaving M City she has never visited them in all these years.But now this warm smile filled her heart with warmth and joy.She came forward and hugged her uncle." Uncle Austin, I missed you so much." He hugged her too and said " Me too, infact we missed you too."His eyes were moist after saying this. Gianna kept quiet for a moment and them said " Come on.... now I'm back..so smile."

After keeping the luggage in the car they got seated. Austin then asked Gianna " Anna where do you want to go first?" She looked ahead and said softly " To the hospital." He sighed, pat her head lovingly and asked the driver to drive to the hospital.

The car came and stood infront of the City Hospital. Gianna came out stood infront of the hospital looking up at the huge building. This is the place she will be working from now on and this is the same place where Evelyn was.Her cousin sister.The most dearest person to her heart. The thought, she was going to meet her today brought both joy and pain in her heart.

Austin came and stood beside her and placed a hand on her back, bringing her out of her thoughts." Anna lets go in...shall we."

" Yes Uncle" she said with a half smiled face as both entered through the door.

They reached infront of the reception when Gianna said " Uncle you go and meet sister Eve while i go and meet the head of the hospital and collect my joining letter. Then I'll join you.

" Do you want me to come along?"Mr Austin asked her, but she replied " No I'll manage..you go ahead." saying this she headed to the receptionist while Mr Austin headed to Evelyn's room.

Gianna greeted the lady at the reception with a smile and asked her the direction to the hospital heads office. "May i know your name maam". The lady inquired. " Sure..its Dr.Gianna Adams". After hearing her name she answered excitedly " To the left of the corridor on the fifth foor Maam." Gianna again gave a bright smile thanking her and proceeded toward the direction.

As soon as she left the lady shouted" Oh my God." "What happen? Why are you shouting?" The other nurses asked her seeing her excited." Do you know who she was?" Who? they asked." She is the famous Surgeon Dr Gianna Adams. I have heard a lot about her, i heard she will be working in our hospital from now on. I heard she is young but didn’t think she would be soo young and beautiful. "

All the other too admired her after knowing who she was. Infact they were very happy.

Two other doctors were passing by when they heard them gossiping. " What are you all doing here? don’t you have any work? " A young tall and handsome doctor asked them."You know if the Dean sees you all gossiping here then be ready for your punishment." They bowed to him and said " We are sorry Dr Aron we'll go back to our work right now" saying this they left. Then he turned to the receptionist and asked " By the way who were you talking about?" She smiled shyly as all the female staffs adored him, and replied " We were taking about Dr Gianna Adams. She will be joining our hospital and is now in the head Sir's office."

" Oh! is she already here?"." Yes Dr."she replied.He smiled and then left.
