Heal Me With All This Pain

Chapter 1

The early winter sky seemed to be constantly cloudy, as if it was shrouded in a thick layer of fog.

Quincy Scott clutched her legs tightly as she crouched in an alley. Her petite body shivered uncontrollably due to a mixture of fear and the cold.

Clang!

All of a sudden, there was a loud bang. The sound quickly travelled down the narrow alley.

When she heard the noise, Quincy snapped open her eyes and looked about warily.

She quickly stood up and placed her back against the wall. Her hands were clenched into tight fists that hung loosely by her sides, as if she was ready to attack something.

"There she is!"

A gruff male voice rang out. Quincy jumped as soon as she heard the words. She ran down the alley with every last ounce of strength she could muster.

She burst through the moving crowd but she accidentally stumbled and fell to the ground.

Someone yelled, "B*tch! Stop right there!" When she head this, Quincy gritted her teeth and forced herself to stand up, despite the pain coming from her knee.

She looked up and saw a black car across the street. Someone had just entered and closed its door.

Quincy no longer had any strength to run, so she thought she might as well take a gamble and make a run for it. Whether she succeeded or failed would depend on this one risky move.

The black car seemed to be leaving, so she had to make her move now. She leaped forward and pounced at the car door, reaching out with both hands to pull open the door with as  much force as she could muster. She managed to open the door so she ducked her head and quickly got in the car.

It was quiet in the car, and the air was stuffy. The interior was a lot bigger than any car she had ever seen before. Almost every surface was clad in coffee-colored leather and the floor was covered in a white, thick wool carpet.

Having jumped frantically into the car, Quincy found herself pressed up against a pair of firm, well-proportioned thighs.

It took a second for Quincy to realize the awkwardness of the situation as she hurriedly got up from the man's lap. The stranger's eyes were cold, and his piercing gaze was filled with murderous intent as he stared at her. Quincy could not help but feel intimidated.

But at this moment, she had no time to appreciate his handsome looks, let alone dwell on her feelings of fear. She scrambled up from her seat and knelt on the carpet. She folded her hands together and begged, her voice trembling with fear: "Please help me. There are bad guys chasing me. I'm begging you. I'll get out of the car as soon as I get rid of them, please."

Her voice was genuine and filled with pity. It would make anyone sympathize with her.

Upon hearing this, the man frowned slightly. Although it was just a nuanced expression, it was enough to express his disgust and impatience. "Get out of the car," he said simply.

The driver in the front of the car noticed the subtle change in the man's expression from the rearview mirror. As soon as he heard the man's icy voice, he pulled out a gun from his waist and pointed it straight at Quincy's temple.

The cold touch of the gun made Quincy's mind go blank as she knelt motionless in place, without moving in the slightest.

The silence around her was terrifying. She held her breath out of fear and it seemed like the situation foretold her impending death..

The man spoke up again. "Get out."

His tone was indifferent and his voice sounded even colder and more piercing than before.

Upon hearing this, Quincy averted her gaze and peeked at the man's face. He was not even looking at her. Instead, he kept his eyes looking straight ahead as if to avoid looking at her body. But there was an imperceptible flash of ruthlessness in his dark and soulful eyes.

Meanwhile, the driver had stepped out of the car and walked over to the back seat door. He opened the door and reached in his hand to firmly put the muzzle of his gun against the back of Quincy's head...

The gun's safety lock was released with a click!

Chapter 2

Quincy trembled with fear. Her forehead was covered in dense, cold sweat. She immediately regretted her actions. She was wrong to have assumed that she could have been rescued by strangers.

Even as she shook with fear, Quincy found her body forcibly dragged out of the car by the driver. She was mercilessly thrown to the ground. The people who were chasing her stopped running directly in front of her.

She looked up blankly at the three burly men standing towering above her. They looked intimidating with their arms crossed, but Quincy actually felt rejoice and relief.

Although she would be taken back, at least she was still alive, and there was still hope as long as she was still alive.

One of the men bent down and roughly pulled her up by the arm and pushed her towards the other man. Quincy expected a beating, but nothing happened.

Instead, she found herself being dragged across the street by the three men until they eventually stopped in front of a white van. The door was open and a woman with impeccable makeup on her face was sitting in the back seat.

Quincy froze for a moment when she saw her, then she said in a soft whisper, "Ms. Lucas."

The real name of the woman known as Ms. Lucas was Queenie Lucas, and she was the hostess of Phantom Nightclub. Queenie ignored Quincy and shot her an icy look. She then took a paper bag from her and threw it at Quincy.

"Here's your outfit, along with some wet wipes and makeup products. Make sure you get yourself dressed properly! Look at how woeful you look," she said with disdain.

When she heard this, Quincy bit her lower lip and replied stubbornly, "You promised me that when I joined 'Phantom Nightclub' that I wouldn't have to perform!"

Queenie sneered and slapped Quincy across the face.

Slap...

The crisp slap echoed in the small space, and was followed by a scathing scolding. Queenie said, "What's all this nonsense about? You b*tch! If it wasn't for me, you'd be dead out there! I'm telling you, even if you die today, you're going to die in Xavier Zimmer's hands!"

Then, Quincy and the bag was thrown into the back of the van.

Months ago, Quincy had collapsed in the rain and was rescued by Queenie. When she woke up, she couldn't remember her own name and she didn't have a single piece of identification on her.

In order to survive, she was forced to stay at the Phantom Nightclub. She saw a doctor and tried to retrieve her memories prior to her rescue, but to no avail.

Over time, she had began to resign herself to her fate...

Quincy sat blankly on the empty seat. Her expression was indifferent as she looked at the bag Queenie had thrown at her. She slowly reached in to take out the contents: a silver bustier dress, a bag of wet wipes and a makeup bag.

She gently wiped the dirt off her skin to reveal a beautiful face with clear eyes that one couldn't help but notice, and a pair of luscious lips under a perky little nose.

She forced a smile in the mirror and smalls dimple appeared on her cheeks. The dimples were very cute.

Although she was naturally beautiful, Quincy still applied a thick layer of foundation, eyeliner and lipstick in order to disguise her face as much as possible. She didn't want anyone to recognize her.

After wiping the dirt off her body, she changed into the tight-fitting dress. The thin material wrapped tightly around her petite body. She then gently pulled away the ribbon that was tied to her hair to let the silky-smooth hair fall down and cascade over her shoulders.

At that exact moment, the front and rear doors of the car were pulled open at the same time, with a loud clang. Three men quickly got into the car.

The car slowly started. Quincy raised her lips with a grim smile.

Chapter 3

Thirty minutes later, the car stopped at the entrance of a hotel.

As soon as she entered, Quincy was taken aback by the magnificent and lavish decoration of the hotel. There was a huge fountain in the middle of the lobby and a crystal piano right next to it. Quincy's eyes were fixated on the piano, and there was a strange pang in her heart, so she looked away.

A couple of men took her upstairs and stood at the head of the hallway. They raised their chins to her and said, "Last room."

Quincy followed the men's line of sight and noticed that the room was obviously more upscale than the rest. The two huge red-painted wooden doors with artistic patterns looked as if they were carrying a kind of silent temptation.

Quincy simply nodded and walked over to the room.

The slim heels of her shoes made no sound on the thick, soft carpet and this gave her the illusion that it would be nice to wake up to discover that this was all a dream.

She gently pushed the door open and immediately felt a sense of tranquil silence on the other side of the door. The room seemed to be vacant.

The design of the room was completely open, with no walls or barriers to obstruct the flow. It was luxuriously decorated with European-style furniture, massive floor-to-ceiling windows, a king-sized bed, and a large desk. This room seemed to be different from the typical hotel room, and was probably designed specifically for a particular person.

Quincy quietly walked to the bed and she heard the sound of running water.

The sound of running water in the quiet room seemed very out of place and made Quincy tighten her grip on her jacket.

Clang...

The door opened from the inside. When she saw this, Quincy's back stiffened and she stood frozen at the edge of the bed with her neck straightened. With her head hanging low, her ebony black hair cascaded down like a waterfall and concealed her face.

The sound of soft and steady footsteps came to her ears, and the fragrance of shower gel mixed with a strange minty scent diffused in the air...

Quincy sat nervously on the bed and mentally told herself over and over that since she couldn't escape this anyway, she might as well enjoy it, right?

A man's voice said, "What's your name?"

The voice was deep and magnetic, and it came from her side. It made Quincy's heart flutter, for some reason. She reflexively blurted out, "Quincy Scott."

But after blurting this out, she immediately realized her mistake. This clearly wasn't Xavier's voice!

After she realized this, her heart skipped a beat and she looked up in astonishment, but the moment she looked up, her eyes were blindfolded by a pair of large and warm hands!
