Yuki woke up and looked at his alarm and he was running late for work he takes a quick shower and hurries up to a restaurant where he works as a delivery guy.

At arriving his boss looks at him and sighs

"Yuki could you even at least try and get here any for work even once."

Yuki apologizes but his face doesn't really show any sign of sympathy.

His boss just overlooks the matter and gives him his orders to deliver.

"Yuki this is a very important order from the Chan mansion pls just try to leave a good impression for me".

*sigh*"ok" Yuki grabs the orders and straps them to the back of his bike and speeds away.

When Yuki arrived at the Chan mansion the mere size and decor made him think "why would people of such caliber order pizza🤨🤨" he then knocks on the door.

"Am coming" while opening the door the two eyes meet as Yuki feels struck to see his high school crush Yumeko at the door.

He then tries to maintain composure but starts stuttering while delivering the order.

Yumeko looked at him and saw that he was nervous and so she quickly grabs the pizza and gives him a 50 dollar tip for the troubles.

Yuki accepts the tip while bowing his head to show gratitude but mostly to avoid eye contact then he turn around and quickly dashes to his bike and drives off.

He was about to call it a day when he looked at the back and realized that he had one more delivery to make so he checked the address and hurries to the location where he found a completely rundown house

he a surprisingly dark part of town as he approached the house he felt like he was walking into a hunted house seen, when he knocked on the door it felt like the door could fall over just from his fist.

After he knocked he waited for about 2mins but no one outside and he started yelling through the broken windows but still no one came so he decided to go in .

When entering the house the chills he had got worst and he was ready to leave at any minute when he saw an old man sitting in silence on a throne like chair with a dog sleeping on his lap. The old man had a long white beard that looked like martial art master in a Chinese movie.

Yuki asked him why he was alone and needed some help but the old man did not respond and so Yuki just proceeded to giving him the pizza and then the old man responded that he did not have any money to pay but he could give him his dog in exchange. But Yuki didn't want to be there any longer to he just accepted and took the dog and left.

On reaching home Yuki was surprised that the dog was still asleep and thought that maybe the old man traded him a dead or a sick dog. Yuki then decided to take it to a shelter the next day and so Yuki when to bed.

At night Yuki had a dream where he saw the old man he met speaking with a hollow voice "Your faith has been sealed you with now walk the path as the Slayer of cursed spirits and you shall read the world of evil" and then Yuki felt a burning sensation in right arm and as he looked over he saw a cross tattoo being engraved on his arm.

Immediately Yuki woke up soaked in sweat then he went to take a shower and cool off. Then he looked over to his arm and saw the cross tattoo that he got in his dream and he started screaming then stopped when he heard noises coming from the kitchen and when he looked to see who it was it saw the dog he got from the old man and then the dog looked over to him and saw the cross on his arm "so you were chosen I see but I still can't believe that old man gave me away while I was asleep". The dog tried approaching Yuki but he was already too freaked out to listen to any thing and so he fainted.

He work up the next morning thinking it all was a dream only to see the tattoo on his arm and then he looked over to the dog "hey buddy, did you talk last night by any chance".

"Of course I did weren't you listening but still I don't blame you since you passed out like a baby last night".

Yuki took the dog and hurried to the old man's house but when he arrived he couldn't find the old man he checked all offer the house and asked everyone in the neighborhood but no one knew of the old man.

"Impossible it couldn't be how am I the only one that saw, why did I see him,why did I accept the dog. Wait this must be a dream right am still dreaming ".

But then the dog came up to him "believe when I say that this is not a dream and you better get used to me talking cause this is going to go on for a long time boy".

Yuki looks over to the dog in disbelief and freaks out again this time he goes towards people on the street and grabs their clothes and asks them whether they can also hear the dog talk but when they take a look at the dog he didn't utter a word and they all thought that he was just crazy.

"No it can't be" Yuki grabs the dog and starts to shake him "talk talk you stupid animal don't make look crazy" Yuki looks around and sees everyone looking at him in disgust.

He rushes back to his apartment and locks all the doors "No am not going crazy am not".

"Of course you're not" He hears a familiar voice and raises his head to see the dog in front of him. Yuki rushes to the bathroom and locks himself in. "Who are you, what are you?".

The dog walks slowly towards the door "well for starters am a god and as you can see I am a dog".

"Hahahahahaha😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 okay " Yuki comes out of the bathroom and bursts into laughter "yeah of course I deliver pizza to an old man and now am stuck with a dog who calls himself a god of course you". Yuki Pats the dog.

"Yes am glad you see to recognize me the god I am mortal. So why are you laughing".

"Of course I don't believe you🤬 a dog calling himself a god am still dreaming ain't I was next a sloth beating a car in a race".

"You there make fool of me fine I'll prove it". The dog looks over at Yuki angrily.

"How" Yuki responds.

"Come touch my hand" the dog lifts his hand towards Yuki. "I think you mean your paw" Yuki responds.

"Their the same for a dog😡😡". "Fine" Yuki leans closer to the dog and place his hand on his paw and suddenly Yuki feels a warm sensation around his body.

"Now how hard can you punch". "I don't know am not much of a fighter" Yuki responds. "okay just try punching the door". Yuki walks over to the door. "No get back here try to punch it while maintaining a distance of 5 feet". "What" Yuki responds. "Just trust me".

Yuki sighs then steps back from the door and throws a punch a the door's position and suddenly Yuki feels like he punched the air itself and the impact blew the door right off it's hinges. Yuki couldn't believe his eyes.

"How did I do that?". "simple I shared my spiritual energy with you" the dog responded. "Spiritual energy?".

"Let me explain since the years of gods and demons". "uuhhhhh I just asked what was spirit energy not for a history lesson". Yuki quickly responded. "Shut up and let me finish, the impatience of you humans is what is gonna lead to your end someday😡". "blah blah blah just tell me already" Yuki added again.

😠😠😠😠😠😤😤😤😤"When since the years of gods and demons they was rivalry among them even when the human era started and the demons were cast away they still crossed the boundaries by possessing the weak minded humans and committing sin to empower the Deming king and so there has been beef between the two and gods are not allowed to interfere directly in the human world so the gods decided to pick a group of humans pure of heart and strong minded to exterminate those demons and rid the world of evil and this group of humans were called the demon slayers".

"Hahahahahaha yeah the demon slayers from the anime right their real hahaha" Yuki responded. "If you think am joking remember the mark on your am".

"Yeah I forgot about that why do I have it" Yuki raises his arm. "It is the mark of the demon slayers"the dog responded.

"Hey I never actually asked for your name, what is it?".

"you can call me kami" the dog responded. "Isn't that just god in Japanese😒😒 you really are bad at names huh how about I call you Yukine". "Isn't that still your name" the dog added. "well I guess we're both terrible at names huh" yuki replied. "fine call me whatever you want mortal".

"Right you said you were a god so why you on Earth then". "mhmmmm am on urgent business and came to see the effect of demons on earth". "Ok but why didn't you talk when I asked you to you everyone think I was crazy?". "foolish mortal do you really think I would expose myself for such a foolish reason it would cause an uproar and then the demons would know my whereabouts" Yukine replied. "But I thought you were an all powerful god😒😒" Yuki added. "😤😤😤😤 I had to compress my powers to keep this form and to hide from demons" Yukine replied.

"Ok but if demons are real and all why haven't I seen one before?". "because you only look through your eyes" Yukine replied. "wait what??". "You have to look through your minds eye". Yukine added. "So how do I open my mind's eye?".

"First you have to connect with your soul". "But isn't my soul inside me isn't that already a connection". Yuki replies. "No it is in you but you have to feel it like it was your companion". "Ok but how do I do that" Yuki asked.

Yukine started my sitting Yuki down and drawing a circle around him and infusing it with spirit energy"Yuki close your eyes and concentrate on the mark on your arm and tell me what you see.

As Yuki concentrated harder the mark on his arm starts glowing and he feels the same warm sensation he got when he touched yukine's paw. "I can see a glowing ball like it was on fire".

"That's strange normally his spirit force is suppose to be dim" Yukine thought to himself. "Ok try and grab a hold of that light and harness it's light". "Ok" Yuki responds.

But for some reason the more Yuki harnessed the power of his soul the more the room got hotter until it got unbearable even for Yukine and he forced Yuki to stop. After it was done Yukine decided to test it by telling Yuki to go outside and observe if he noticed anything different. But when Yuki got outside he couldn't believe his eyes that what Yukine said was true and he could see the demons lurking around corners and he noticed that some people had a dark aura around them and Yukine explained that those with the dark errors are possessed.

Yuki suddenly fell on his knees and started shaking.

Yukine rushed over to Yuki and asks him what's wrong. "I don't know I just felt so scared all of a sudden and I feel like something's weighing me down" Yuki responds. "It must be spirit pressure which means that a hive is nearby".

"Hive like a bee hive". "Yes something like that but this is a demon hive, there must be a bigger demon controlling these ones around lets head back inside" Yukine replied.

"So just how strong is the demon controlling these ones". "Demon leaders are normally really strong but those demons you saw are curses of greed and aren't really combat types there about a level 3 threat but are still stronger than a level 1 demon slayer such as yourself" Yukine responded.

"Ok but where can we find it and also there are levels involved in this I thought I was given power from the gods😩😩😩". "A demon leader controlling curses of greed would only have one place to be, a place where the greedy flourish" Yukine responded. "You mean like a gambling hall😐😐" Yuki quickly added. "Yes😔 and for your order question levels define the strength of a demon slayer, your levels show how strong your spirit energy and your soul force is and it also helps you keep tab on your progress and for demons they show how much of a threat they and also how strong they could be" Yukine responded. "This really is starting to look like a video game😵😵" Yuki added.

"Ok so then how do I level up then". "You can level up by slaying demons and also by training by connecting with your soul more". Yukine replied.

"Ok so all I have to do is to go around killing all those weak curses and I can level up". "Yes" Yukine replied.

...Yuki ran out of his room to dark alley he saw earlier with his fist held high and started attacking them, this went on for about a week. Every single night Yuki would slay as many as he saw and when it was morning he would he to the field and trained his endurance by running round the tracks and jumping off the top of buildings. Even Yukine was impressed by his performance....

......(A WEEK LATER)......

"I think am ready to slay the demon leader now". "And what makes you think that" Yukine asked. "Well you said it was a level 3 threat and you told me yesterday that I was at level 5, so I should be good right?". "You know what I like your guts kid so let's go😆" Yukine replied.

Then Yuki and Yukine went to the casino Yuki talked about and the moment they entered they both felt the curse energy upstairs but the first floor was just infested with curses and so they went upstairs but where then stopped by the guards and were asked to show their VIP passes to go upstairs. Yuki remembered that Yukine told him to save his spirit energy for the demon and not to use it in meaningless fights. So Yuki tried to force his way through but was outnumbered by the guards and was taken to the boss of the casino meanwhile Yukine was just thrown out of the building. When Yuki woke up he was tied up to a chair and was in a dark room, suddenly someone the boss of the casino walked in and Yuki immediately noticed the strong aura around him and he knew that he was different from the rest that where possessed.

"You know am so sick and tired of this someone just starts a business then boom the demon slayers are at his door steps but today I will turn the table around, like seriously what were they thinking sending a little kid like you who even got beaten by simple guard with no spirit energy😄😆😆😆you really are a joke". "You know you are the one unlucky for meeting cause I am the one that will slay you" Yuki replied while glancing over to the boss with a cold look in his eyes.

The boss is shocked and immediately takes out a knife and tries to stab him but Yuki breaks out of the ropes and infuses his fist with spirit energy and gives the boss a straight punch to the gut. This forces the demon to come out of his body, the demon screams intensely out of pain which chatters all the glasses in building this causes a huge panic and everyone runs out of the building. Yukine notices the commotion and runs into the building. The very size of the demon alone starts to engulf the entire room Yuki quickly carries the unconscious casino boss out of the room.

The demon the throws a punch a Yuki and he easily dodges it, he runs toward the emergency exit and leaves the unconscious boss there. He hurries back to try and defeat the demon before it causes anymore damage but when Yuki arrived then demon had grown even bigger and his head had already broken a hole through the roof, Yuki couldn't believe his eyes. He then dashes to toward it and gives it a straight punch with all his might but nothing happens instead Yuki fist just bounces off it's jellytin like body. He tries again with a barrage of blows but nothing seemed to work. Instead Yuki arms got stuck in the demons belly, Yuki desperately trying to get his arms out infuses then with spirit energy which caused the demons belly to explode the demon screamed in pain and lashed out at Yuki and threw him threw the walls.

Yuki almost gave up hope when suddenly Yukine ran into the room and screamed" to slay a demon you need to destroy the spirit force within it that way it won't regenerate".

Suddenly Yuki got up and ran toward the demon and leaped all the way to the top then he dived straight into it's mouth. Yukine couldn't believe his eyes" Yuki!!!!!!!!".

Just then a bright like started emitting from with the demon and the demon started to scream and the light got bigger and bigger till the demon exploded and Yuki fell out off the demon. Yukine hurried over to catch him. "You really are crazy young one". "cough cough well I learnt from the god crazy enough to turn into a god" Yuki replied smiling.

Suddenly the building started shaking and was about to collapse when Yuki told Yukine to go back and save the casino boss and so they did and left him outside the building before it collapsed.

"You did well today young one I am proud of you".

(snore). "WTF are you sleeping on me" Yukine screamed. "shhhh I don't wanna go to school" Yuki replied. 😄😄😄😄😄
