Crumbling Love

Chapter 1

The pregnancy test kit showed two bright red bars.

Olivia Miller held it tightly in her hand as she trembled, her knuckles turning white.

She dialed the familiar number and heard a mechanical female voice, "Sorry, the number you have dialed is powered off."

His phone wasn't powered off. He blacklisted her.

Olivia smiled bitterly and called the number from a servant's phone. The call was immediately connected.

"Jane, what's wrong?"

"...Boyce, it's me."

The man on the other end of the phone took a long pause before he sneered, "Olivia, you really know how to play tricks!"

With that, he was going to hang up.

But Olivia hurriedly said, "Don't hang up! Please don't hang up... Boyce, I'm pregnant..."

Her heart racing, Olivia clenched her fists nervously, as if waiting for a trial.

In his eyes, she was probably a vicious woman and a shameless liar.

But a baby might be able to ease things up, and maybe he would be a nice husband for the sake of the baby...

"Get an abortion."

These cold words poured down on Olivia resolutely like a bucket of cold water.

Though feeling like being struck by a streak of lightning, she managed to contain herself, "It's your baby!"

Boyce's bone-chilling voice came, "You don't deserve to have my baby,"

Beep beep beep...

He hung up!

Ten minutes later.

The door of the villa was pushed open, which took Olivia by surprise. She was startled and looked over in a daze. Boyce was there, standing against the light, his cold gaze on her belly.

"Go to the hospital with me now and get an abortion."

Olivia was flustered. The smile that she was trying to gather froze on her face. "Boyce, the baby's innocent..."

"What about Anna? Isn't she innocent?" As he grabbed her by the arm, Olivia burst into tears from the pain. "If you hadn't drugged me and climbed onto my bed, I would have married her! Then she wouldn't have gone to the club to get drunk and died so miserably!"

Olivia struggled, "It wasn't me. I didn't get those people! She was my big sister. I'll never harm her!"

Boyce threw her onto the ground and squatted down to pinch her chin. "They said it was you who ordered them! I sat through the entire interrogation at the police station!"

"How is that possible... Boyce, believe me. I didn't..."

"There's no point denying it now!" Boyce yanked her up by the hair. His cold and resolute words plunged her into an ice cellar. "Olivia, you are a vicious woman. The one that should've died is you!"

The pain in her scalp numbed her, but her heart ached more. She sobbed, "Boyce, I didn't drug you. I also passed out that day. When I woke up, I was lying beside you. If I had known that you were in love with Anna, I wouldn't have married you..."

He casually tossed her to the side, as if she was a rag.

It hurt, so much.

Olivia started to shiver all over. She knelt by his feet, hands on her belly, and resigned to her fate. "I know you hate me. Boyce, you can do whatever you want with me as long as you let me keep this baby. Please..."

"No way."

Three brief words completely shattered her hope.

He dragged her to kneel in front of Anna's framed photo. "Anna died with wounds all over her. You're just like her now. It's time for you to taste the humiliation that Anna suffered. Kneel here for the night as your atonement!"

The floor was cold. Olivia closed her eyes. She knew she was responsible, though not directly, for Anna's death, so she had been keeping Anna's photo. For the three years of their marriage, Olivia had been repenting every day.

To apologize to her sister, she would kneel here.

Olivia answered, "Okay, but the baby..."

"Just kneel here and we'll talk about it tomorrow." Boyce turned around and went upstairs, leaving a mess in the empty living room.

Beneath her knees was the cold hard marble floor. It sent out bone-chilling cold and unbearable pain. But she endured it. She would do anything for the baby.

It started to thunder after midnight and the air was freezing cold. Olivia's lips turned purple. She endured it through gritted teeth and folded her hands on her belly, saving the only source of warmth to the weak baby in her belly.

Finally, the sky started to brighten up.

Boyce appeared by the stairs on the second floor and said something on the phone before slowly walking down.

Olivia covered her belly with both hands and looked at him expectantly.

"Boyce, can I...keep the baby..."

"I will not kill him with my own hands."

Feeling eased, Olivia let out a long breath. She almost cried, "Boyce, thank you..."

"Don't thank me yet."

As soon as Boyce finished speaking, the door of the villa was pushed open. A dozen burly men rushed in and called out respectfully, "Mr. Clark."

Boyce pointed at Olivia who was kneeling on the floor and couldn't get up. "Get her to 4U Club. You know what to do."

Olivia immediately froze. 4U Club was where Anna died.

It seemed to be a bar, but actually, it was a place where men could pay for pleasure!

So this was what he meant when he said that he wouldn't kill the baby "with his own hands"!

He wanted her to suffer all the humiliation at 4U Club and then have a miscarriage...

"Olivia, I told you, blood will have blood."

She turned deathly pale and shook her head in desperation. But her legs were numb from the kneeling and she couldn't stand up. She had to crawl to Boyce's feet and begged, "Boyce, please. I'm pregnant. You can torture me however you want after the baby's born."

Boyce kicked her away. "You owe this to Anna. You have to pay it back!"

He looked up at the bodyguards and ordered, "Take her away."

Seeing that the bodyguards were coming for her, Olivia begged while crying and banging her forehead on the ground, "Boyce, Please! Please let the baby go. Please..."

One thump after another…

She banged it hard. However, Boyce remained cold and silent.

Olivia had no choice but to turn around and beg in front of Anna's photo, sobbing, "Anna, it's my fault. I'm sorry. Please talk Boyce out of this if you can hear me, okay? Please, Anna..."

Suddenly, she felt fierce pain in her scalp. Boyce had yanked her head up by the hair with one hand and clenched her neck with the other. "Don't think an apology will be enough. You will never be able to atone for what you've done to Anna!"

Then, he turned around and snapped at the bodyguards, "Why are you still standing there?"

Thrown to the ground, Olivia coughed violently, and her throat burned with pain. Before she could realize it, the bodyguards had already come up and pressed her onto the floor. They tied her hands and feet with thick ropes and asked, "Mr. Clark, will she be open…for that business at the club?"

After all, she was Boyce's woman. They did not dare to act rashly and needed to double-check.

Boyce narrowed his eyes. "That business is what a club does. Do you need me to tell you that?"

"Understood. We will tell that to the owner of the club."

Chapter 2

Olivia's begging didn't work. She was thrown into the car in a sorry state, and then brought to the dirty and smelly basement of 4U Club.

In a daze, someone grabbed her hair, lifted her, and said indignantly, "Is this a newcomer? She looks pretty good."

"Since you are a newcomer, I'll teach you the rules first." After that, a strong slap landed on Olivia's face. She rolled far away.

Olivia couldn't move as she was tied up. Her ears buzzed, "What are you going to do?"

"What are we going to do?" A woman with a harsh voice poked her in the face with her sharp heel. Blood immediately gushed out. "You are pretty. If all the guests are attracted to you, how are we supposed to make money?"

Olivia gritted her teeth, and a metallic taste emerged from her mouth. "I won't take guests. Do you know the Clark Group? I am the wife of the president of the Clark Group!"

"Are you sick?" The woman smiled and slapped her again, "I'm so scared. If you were Mrs. Clark, why would your husband send you here to do the same work as me?"

Olivia froze. She only took Anna's place as the wife of a rich family.

"As a young lady from a rich family, why are you snatching our business? Cut her face!" Another woman came, and when she saw Olivia's face, she was furious.

Her sharp nails scratched Olivia's face, Olivia's hot blood rolling in her eyes.

Red was all she could see.

The woman seemed to be angry still. She stepped on Olivia with her high heels. "You're so good-looking. How dare you snatch our business? Bitch, I'll ruin your face first. Let's see who's going to want you!"

Olivia felt pain all over her body. Her consciousness had gradually dissipated. She subconsciously bent her body to protect her belly. There was a baby in it.

Suddenly, someone kicked her hard in the belly.

...

Olivia was awakened by the pain.

She felt there was a meat grinder running through her abdomen. She broke out in cold sweat. Suddenly, warm blood flowed out from beneath her. The air was immediately filled with a strong smell of blood.

"Why is she bleeding?!"

"Why doesn't she move? Is she dead?"

Olivia was dying. Her breathing slowly weakened. The child, her child, had only been nurtured in her body for two months. Now it had turned into a pool of blood!

She felt like falling into the endless darkness.

Before she fainted, she thought that it was better to die like this. She didn't want to ruin the reputation of the Miller family.

"She fainted. Go and tell Talia to call the ambulance!"

...

Olivia woke up for a moment when she was in the hospital. She lay weakly on the operation bed and felt the pain brought by the cold instrument, which made her cold all over.

The doctor noticed that she had woken up. "Miss, we can't keep the child anymore. You need an operation."

When Olivia heard the doctor sentence the child to death, she finally couldn't help but cry out loud.

Boyce!

"None of your family members came. No one signed your anesthetic agreement, so according to the rules, we can't give you anesthesia."

The cold machine continued to stir, scrape, and the sharp pain made her cry even more bitterly.

Finally, Olivia was tired. She touched her face. Her hands were wet. It was unknown whether it was tears or sweat from the pain. The thirty minutes of surgery felt like a century.

The nurse helped her out of the operating room and reminded her, "Miss, please inform the family members as soon as possible to pay for the expenses."

She was sent here in a coma. Not to mention money, even her clothes were the patient clothes that the nurse kindly found for her.

And Boyce...

He should be willing to pay for the miscarriage. He had no pity for the baby at all...

He called Boyce with the nurse's phone.

No one answered. She called again, but the phone was turned off.

Olivia could only call Willie.

Half an hour later, at the door of the ward.

Willie swung his cane at Boyce. "You bastard, Olivia is pregnant with the child of our family! How can you treat her like this? She will die if they sent her to the hospital later!"

Olivia only said that she had a miscarriage in the fight with Boyce. She didn't mention the details in the middle. Willie had high blood pressure and could not stand the bloody story.

Boyce did not hide. His eyes were fixed on her as if he wanted to kill her with his gaze. "She deserves it." He said.

Willie trembled in anger. He pointed at Boyce and said, "Shut up! Apologize to Olivia!"

"I won't." Boyce blocked the walking stick that fell again, grabbed it, and threw it aside. "She is not worthy."

Willie's blood pressure immediately went high. The nurses and doctors were in a mess. They hurriedly sent him into the emergency room.

On the other hand, Boyce expressionlessly took out a stack of documents from his bag and threw them in front of Olivia. "Sign it."

"Divorce Agreement?"

Olivia felt chills all over her body. "What if I don't sign?"

"I am no longer the same as I was a year ago. No one can interfere with my marriage, including my parents and even my grandfather," Boyce said without a trace of emotion, "If you don't sign it, then I can only kill you."

"I don't believe that you can escape from the law!"

"Then why don't we give it a try?"

Olivia had just finished the operation, and her body was still faintly aching. With a pale face, she softened her voice and said, "Boyce, do you hate me so much?"

Boyce nodded calmly. "I wish I could you could die right now!"

Olivia knew that what he said was true. If Willie was not present, he would have made her never wake up.

She spent three years trying to save such a hopeless marriage. Now she paid with her child's life.

She picked up the divorce agreement and looked at it. She smiled bitterly. Boyce wanted her to leave the household with nothing.

"Boyce, you will get your retribution."

He sneered, "I never believe in retribution. You killed Anna, aren't you still living like a cockroach?"

"I won't sign it."

"Then we'll see."

The door was slammed shut with great force.

Olivia hugged her knees and finally cried out all the grievances she had accumulated for three years.

Willie was directly sent home. Boyce never appeared again. His assistant came once and said to her, "Mr. Clark asked me to tell you that he doesn't want to see you again except for attending your funeral. Miss Olivia, you should leave Rheinsville City as soon as possible..."

After the assistant left, Olivia almost fell. She was weak. The operation caused anemia. She fainted in the ward.

When she woke up again, she was in a small and cramped room. There were posters of all kinds of girls on the walls. The pink lights made the small room look blurry and charming.

"Where am I?"

Chapter 3

There was a beautiful woman in her thirties sitting in front of her. "You are lucky."

Olivia wanted to speak, but her voice was very rough. "Who are you?"

"I am the boss of 4U Club. Everyone calls me Talia. Boyce refused to pay for the hospital anymore. I can't just watch you sleep on the streets after your miscarriage, so I brought you back."

Talia lifted her chin and looked at her face carefully. "Olivia Miller?" Talia called out her name.

"You don't have to be so surprised. Mr. Clark sent you here last night, and he always had to say hello to me. According to his wish, I should let you die. But I didn't want those bad men to be too happy, so I called you an ambulance," she explained.

A hint of hazy appeared in Olivia's eyes, "Thanks for saving me."

"Don't be in a hurry to thank me," Talia said the same thing as Boyce. "What's your plan?" she asked.

Olivia pondered bitterly,

The death of her child made her desperate. She would rather die with the child than live a painful life like now.

However, she wasn't lucky enough to just die. Since she was still alive, she had to plan for the future.

After the Miller family went bankrupt because of her father, she had tasted the bitterness of life. She had learned to put off her pride and dignity and face the bleak reality.

She had a younger brother to support. She had to make money to pay for his tuition fees and living expenses and save enough money for him to go to college. She also had a big brother who was seriously ill and unconscious in bed. The medical expenses were not a small number. She did not have much hope herself, but her younger brother still had a bright future. He was the only hope of the Miller family.

"Can I stay here?"

Anna died here. Boyce would never come back to the place that he hated to the bone. So, there was no safer place in Rheinsville City than this.

As long as she could hide from him, she could stay here and make money for her brother to go to school...

Talia appreciated her red nail polish and said casually, "Do you know what this place is?"

"Yes."

"Young lady, the waitresses here are not waitresses, you know what I mean."

Olivia listened to the noise from the dance floor outside, as well as the intense sound of the battle coming from the room next door. She nodded, "I won't regret it."

But Talia said, "You have a scar on your face. No guests will order you."

"I can do hard and dirty work, like washing the dishes, and cleaning up."

Talia seemed to have heard a joke. "You? Miss Miller?"

Olivia nodded, "From now on, there is no Miss Miller, only Olivia, a cleaner of 4U Club. Talia, please let me stay, I am willing to do anything."

Talia thought for a while. Then she nodded, "You are too pretty for a cleaner. The most important thing here is to forget about your dignity. As long as you want, I can make you reborn."

Talia found the best doctor to treat the wound on Olivia's face. Other places had already healed. Only a scar on the right side of her face could not be cured no matter what, leaving an ugly scar. In the end, Talia found a tattoo artist and tattooed a rose on her right face.

The tattoo artist was skilled. Not only did the rose perfectly cover the scar, but it also made her look even more beautiful. Olivia was a bit surprised to see herself in the mirror. She didn't know what to say.

"From now on, you will be called Rose." Talia looked at her face with satisfaction. "Remember, your work is to serve the wine. Don't let the customer touch you. That's the most seducing trick..." said she.

Olivia settled down, Talia got money. Everyone was happy.

Talia even personally taught her how to be hypocritical with men and how to sell more wine.

In the past five months, Olivia had completely restrained her previous dignity. She relied on her beautiful face and delicate mind to skillfully deal with all kinds of men. Talia was right. Men were all miserable wretches. They coveted her beauty but were unable to kiss her. They could only buy wine with all their might just to see her. In the first month of her debut, she sold more wine than everyone else combined.

One day, Olivia finished her work and returned to her room to remove her makeup. Someone knocked on her door. "Rose, go and entertain the guests in the high-level VIP room."

It was Cindy, who had always had a bad relationship with her. Olivia frowned, "Talia said that I can only serve one guest every day. Today, I have already served Mr. Jones."

Cindy became impatient. "The guest orders you! You stole our opportunity, don't waste it."

After that, she frowned and urged her, "Don't forget how much Talia spent to treat your injuries. Are you not willing to help Talia attract business?"

Olivia could only nod, "Alright, I'll go immediately."

Olivia hurriedly tidied herself up and pushed open the door to the high-level VIP room.

The smile on her face froze.

Under the green light, a familiar person was surrounded and sat in the middle. Several familiar guests were sitting on the sofas around them. They were all famous people in Rheinsville City, including Mike, who she had just served. The group of people looked at the man on the main seat in a flattering manner.

As for the person on the main seat, his arrogant and domineering manner was like an invisible hand, almost pressing down on her to the point that she could not breathe.

After half a year, seeing Boyce again, Olivia felt that all the blood in her body began to flow backward.

She retreated from the private room in a panic and walked quickly. She wanted to leave as soon as possible, but a hand grabbed her wrist from behind. She was so scared that she screamed.

Mike was shocked by her reaction. "Rose, where are you going?"

Olivia patted her wildly beating chest and forced out a smile. "Mr. Jones, I'm sorry. I'm not feeling well today. I'll ask other girls to come."

"That won't do. I've already told Mr. Clark that you, Rose, are famous for your beauty. No one here is more beautiful than you. You can't let me break my promise, right?"

Seeing her pale face, Mike thought she was probably really uncomfortable. "Rose, please, do me a favor. As long as I settle this business with the Clark Group, I will buy all the wine for this year. How about it? I know your rules. Don't worry. Mr. Clark has principles. He won't make things difficult for you. Just show up and then you can leave, okay?"

Olivia said evasively, "Mr. Jones, I don't feel well. I am afraid that I will ruin it for you. You should call the other girls..."

The remaining words were choked in her throat.

She didn't know when Boyce had left the private room and walked towards her step by step.

She turned her face away in a panic, showing only the tattoo. She blocked her cheek with her messy hair.

However, Boyce's powerful fingers easily passed Mike and accurately pinched her chin. As he forcefully twisted her chin, the corner of his mouth curved into a playful smile, "Rose?"
