Chapter 1
A normal day at a popular school in Japan. Everything seems perfect especially with Alexis, until an exchange student arrives.

Another, day at school, where my family expects me to make them proud. I honestly don't care about their opinion that much. I just want to study because it's fun.
Anyways, today's gonna be good because Alexis will be there.

After a long hour of trying to make myself look pretty decent for a popular girl, I came up with something and I'm quite proud.
I'm wearing a cool crop top which is the most beautiful shade of (f/c) and some denim shorts to go with it. I went for boots, because they're cool and I wanna wear the ones Auntie got me because why not?
The outside is very well detailed and the inside is so comfortable that I can even run a marathon in these.
But now, it's time for school.

After grabbing my school supplies from my home desk, I waved goodbye to Auntie, and began to walk to school.
I made it after like five minutes and I'm not late cause class starts at 9:30.
When I walk in, I see some people have already arrived along with their classmates and friends.
I seemed like a loser because I only had one friend, Hina. Everyone else had at least three or more friends in their group.
But, I'm grateful for my one friend. She's the only one I've got.
My (e/c) eyes roamed and scrutinized the hall for Hina. She couldn't be that hard to spot from crowds of students, especially when her hair is bright pink.
Since I had an hour and half until classes started, I decided to go to the library to read some books. This was one thing that cured my sadness.
The library was quite empty because not a lot of people like to read. I believe their boring since they don't know how much reading can do for them.
I sigh and grab my 4th Harry Potter book and I carefully removed the book mark from Chapter 20 and start reading.
It's quite sad of how Ron and Harry are having fights and are avoiding each other.
I couldn't hear anything. All I heard were the characters voices in my head.
I didn't even realize someone was calling me.

My face turned into a tomato and I smiled wider than before. He just complimented my outfit!
I couldn't scream since I was in the library so I celebrated by finishing chapter 20 of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

I was done after like 45 minutes so I put back my book in my backpack and zip it shut. I spent like 5 or 10 minutes talking to Alexis so more time was spent.
But, I would be early to class, so I headed to the cafeteria and bought some sandwiches as breakfast.
I thanked the cashier and sat down, enjoying my sandwiches while writing my ideas for a book I wanted to write on a thick notebook.
I was just enjoying myself until someone slammed then hands on the table.

Hey, what are you doing?
The boy asked, but I ignored him. He kinda smelled like blood, so I thought he was dangerous but I kept it cool.
I didn't respond again and continued writing my manuscript.
I was done eating my sandwiches and I haven't spoken a single word to this man.
I just shoved my notebook and pen in my bag and left for class.
I was walking as fast as I could while he was chasing me.
I got lucky when there was a crowd, so I just made myself go as fast as I could to get to my first class.

I gasped for air, after walking half around the school. But, I was perfectly in time.
I opened the door and saw my classmates already present. I checked the teacher's seat, but it was vacant.
I smiled at myself knowing I wasn't late again.
Me walking to my desk was just as perfect for my outfit. I sat down at the left side while my backpack rested at the right side where there was a vacant chair.
People tried to be my seatmate, but they found me boring since I only liked to read and write.
So, I've been sitting alone. Always writing while I had some time when I was 5 minutes early.
But, because of that dumb person who tried to talk to me, I spent more time trying to lose him.
Right now, I was just waiting for my grumpy teacher.

2 minutes later, the door banged open and slammed shut while the teacher stomped their way to the front of the class.

Good morning class.
She greeted us in the scariest tone I've heard.

Her brown eyes explored the classroom, looking for the new student. I didn't even know how looked like.

What an annoying boy.

He can't even be early to his first class!

She ordered, snapping her fingers madly.

We're learning about Mathematics today.
She was about to sit down, until the door slammed open, and we could hear someone gasping for air.
I glanced for a bit and saw it was a pretty short guy.
He had blonde hair, black eyes and a half ponytail.
I assumed he was the new student but I didn't care.
I was still trying to open my book to that page she told us to open it to.
Mrs. Smith
HOW DARE YOU BE LATE TO THE CLASS?!

IT IS JUST YOUR FIRST DAY AND YOU CAN'T EVEN MAKE A GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION HUH?!
She barked angrily that a couple students could hear the argument.
He muttered softly with pissed eyes. Only some people were able to hear him.

DETENTION FOR YOU!

He said in a normal voice, alarming me since it sounded familiar.

I said, accidentally and everyone looked at me. I covered my mouth since I was supposed to say it in my Goddamn head.

After having a painful first class with the new student, they now have to stay at detention for four hours, despite the fact they despise each other.

I panic. This late new student wants to sit with me and the teacher didn't mind?! WHAT-?!
How the hell can she let me sit with this guy! He doesn't even look that good. I already despise him for trying to disturb me in the cafeteria! And what is Alexis gonna think about me now? He's gonna hate me for sure.

I stop over thinking and react to the teacher's angry question with an expression from my face. I had a terrified one so that answered her question for sure already.

He opened the door, glared at me, then slammed it so loud that my ears ringed.
I kicked the chair in anger, while hurting myself. I cried in pain while holding my foot, falling to the ground while hurting myself even more.
Hina's class had already ended so I'm guessing she heard me.
That explained why she slammed the door open in the next second.

What happened to you?!
She said approaching me, who was crying on the floor with my hurt foot.
Hina saw me holding on my foot so she took my hand off and looked at it.
She could feel the fast pace of a heartbeat going on at it. The sound was also pretty loud.

We need to get you to the school's nurse right away!
She helped me up and rested my arm on her shoulder.
We were able to reach it, since it was pretty near.

Maam! Y/n hurt herself terribly! She needs to be healed right away!
Hina made me sit on one of the beds while the nurse treated my bruises.

Let me get the ice pack.
She went to the fridge and some other places to get some stuff she needed. Hina held my hand tight, assuring me everything would be fine.

The nurse came back with some stuff but she first got the ice pack and gently put it at my bruises.
She told Hina to watch over me for now and help me walk when I needed to.
Hina nodded and we left the School Nurse.

Hina knew. She knew something was going on. We both sat on a bench outside the school. We had like 30 minutes so it was fine to explain the whole story.

I smiled and grabbed my backpack to leave. When I opened the door, I took one more look at the new student, who was being scolded for only writing 2 apology letters.
I heard the teacher say he wouldn't leave until he was done.
He glared at me and I glared back.
Since his eyes kept getting even more pissed, I wanted to test his temper.
So, I did something with no guilt nor regret at all.
I raised my middle finger and smirked at his fuming red face.
I walked away like a girl boss and went home to do all the homework I was assigned for going to detention.
