Gazing down from darken clouds hanging like curtain above a stage, we see an ancient city. Welcome to the city of Dis, a mega city and the last of its kind, home to over one hundred million souls all trapped behind its towering high walls, for protection? Or for containment?

The city of Dis covers tens of thousands of square kilometres in all directions, a near endless mass of towering buildings and highways spread far into the horizon, but in truth this city is divided.

Split into three regions so diverse from each other that they are considered cities in their own right and those cities are Paradiso, Limbo, and the Pitts, where this tale takes place.

A thick layer of deadly grey smog hangs over us, birthed from distant factory of old. Towering stone-black skyscrapers breach the smog layer, reaching high into the heavens like hands begging for salvation but no matter how high they go, they will never a clear sky, for none exist.

Welcome to the Pitts, a massive urban jungle housing tens of millions of people. The streets below bustle with movement, the denizens of this city live out a meagre existence, surviving but not thriving and doing whatever they can do to live their lives as comfortably as they can.

Zooming onto the busy streets we see a middle-aged man in a lab coat, walking down a crowded street. However, he isn’t like you and I, he is a Mutant.

Yes, a Mutant, a freak, the product of a bygone age created by Humanity and he isn’t the only one because here as in the Pitts, everyone is a mutant. The people of the Pitts are a horrible mix of different peoples with some looking very human while others look to be a unholy union of man and beast.

Hence the old saying “ a mutant is just an animal given human form “. However, Humanity grew to hate their creations and cast them away to live in squalor within the mega slum we call the Pitts.

Returning to the middle-aged man walking down the street, we see he is a bunny mutant.

The bunnies are a common race found throughout the Pitts with males standing an average of 183cm while females stands around 170cm in height. Bunnies bare rabbit-like features, such as having long rabbit ears and patches of fur covering their backs, arms and legs which can range from black to brown and white.

However, besides that they look very human looking with light skin and small frames. This particular bunny is of white fur with light skin and a tired face with sad brown eyes. He is dressed in what seems to be formal ware with a green vest and dark brown pants with black shoes.

All these in addition with his lab coat, we can clearly see he is a doctor.

As the doctor walks down the busy streets we can see other mutants heading home to rest and to be with their loved ones. While others are heading to work, to slave away their lives for long hours in ancient factories or wasting their time running shops, selling goods at marked up prices. But some others are just walking for the sake of walking with no hope or purpose because stopping would mean they have accepted death.

However, a few are lucky enough to be educated to be able to land an specialist job like our good doctor. As he walks the doctor is constantly checks behind him, almost as if he’s being hunted by something but by what it is, he just doesn’t know and not paying attention to his front he bumps into a Toros.

The Toros are a large bovine-like people found mainly within the eastern side of the Pitts, with large muscular fur covered bodies ranging from black to brown. Their face bare a remembrance to a bull and they bare long horns.

 The Toros the doctor just bumped into is a male of the species, commonly referred to as a “ Bull “.

This Bull is large with a muscular body coated by brown fur with large ebony horns. He is dressed on a white shirt with baggy brown pants and he towers over the bunny doctor, which is of no surprise since on average bulls are 2.75 metres in height, and this one is no exception.

The bunny doctor releasing what he has done nervously says “ I’m sorry I didn’t mean to..”. However the bull doesn’t care about the doctors apology as he lowers his head and staring the bunny in the eye  he say in a deep angry voice “ **** off or I will kill you  “.

The bunny doctor having heard the message loud and clear, quickly walks away trying his best not to draw attention to himself while clutching a briefcases containing some important documents.

As we have just seen with the bunny and Toros, that the rang of mutants can vary however, regardless of how different they may be they are all regarded as mutants.

Sadly the Bulls behaviour is far too common within the Pitts as here the weaker races are at the mercy of the stronger ones because for mutants, size does matters as larger mutants dominate the smaller ones.

Here might makes right as many mutants give in more animalistic side, killing, robbing and raping as they please just like the animals they are or the monsters Humanity deems them to be.

However, besides this fact, many mutants do try to live out honest peaceful lives however, there is one group of mutants that take the cruelty of the Pitts to an extreme.

They are not bound by races, instead they are bound by a brotherhood and live by extorting, threatening and killing their fellow mutants. These mutants are gangsters.

Unlike the realms of man, the rule of law holds no power within the Pitts, which has given birth to the rise of gangsters. Carving up the Pitts into miniature kingdoms, the numerous gangs of the Pitts force all those living within their territory to pay tribute or else they’ll suffer their wrath.

The gangster is one of the most common profession found in the Pitts, made up of mainly young uneducated man with no future, fighting and dying for the many gang bosses of the Pitts. And it’s these Gang bosses that live lives of pure bliss with all their desires satisfied, yet they still hunger for more and they will use their lesser brethren to obtain it and violence to keep it.

This doctor here is in fact travelling to meet with some gangsters, to sell the documents he’s carrying and by doing this, he is betraying the infamous gang boss known as Big Larry. As he walks he grows nervous because he knows what is going to happen to him, big Larry will send the Ripper after him.

The Ripper is big Larry's personal mercenary who acts as his trump card, always completing his contacts with ruthless efficiency.

The doctor looking behind as he did many times before, spots something within the crowd. A hooded figure dressed in all black and seeing this man, the doctor nervous picks up his pace.

The more he walks down the filthy streets, the greater the feeling of dread becomes. Dread, dread is all he feels, almost as if a predator is hunting him. Just as prey would feel when being hunted  so does the doctor as his animalistic senses tell him danger is close and he is not the only one.

Other mutants around him begin to avoid him as they see the man is black walking ever closer to him. Turning around, the doctor sees the hooded man is less than a few metres away and begins to panic.

The doctor with fear in his eyes, runs as fast as he can to the location where the gangsters are waiting for him and as he runs faster and faster he keeps checking behind him and sees that the hooded man is still following.

The doctor soon turns towards an alleyway, he has almost reached the gangsters but feeling the presence of a killer, he stops and slowly turn behind him.

He knows what is behind him and yet he still checks. Now fully turned around, he hooded man standing behind him and from what he could see the hooded man is tall, standing 250cm in height with a very muscular yet lean body, he is clearly a strong mutant.

His hooded black overcoat covers most of his body while his similarly black clothing covers rest. His mouth and lower face lay hidden behind a mask with a fanged mouth design while his piercing blue eyes stare him down makes the doctor, making him quiver in fear.

The doctor gazing up at his pursuer who is 67cm taller than him, notices one last feature of the hooded man, his twin forward facing, blade like horns protruding from the sides of his head which are pointed slightly upwards.  

All these qualities together male this man seem like a demon from the old legends, a harbinger of death.

The hooded man soon approaches the doctor causing him to yell, " stay back! I know who you are " which made the hooded man pauses as the doctor goes on " you...you are big Larry's Ripper! ".

Indeed, this man s the Ripper and glaring at the doctor , he laughs before stating in a deep masculine voice “ haha, good then you know there's no point running away ".

The doctor clutching his briefcase as the Ripper approaches him and he watches he place right hand on a wall.  The doctor noticing the Rippers hands, sees that it’s grey in colour with claws at the ends of each finger.

The Ripper then scratches deeply into the wall, leaving deep marks as he walks towards the doctor.

The doctor turns back and run away, as fast as he can and runs into a small open area at the end of the alleyway, he finally meets the gangsters he was selling the briefcase too. These gangsters are a collection of different mutants made up primarily of Pandari.

Pandari are humanoid mutants, bearing a remembrance to the extinct pandas of Asia, with dark skin covered in fur from head to toe. The males stand at an average of 183cm, while the females average around 168cm. Every Pandari has two colours of fur; one is always white but the other colour ranges from black to brown to red.

The Pandari make up the majority of mutant kind, bearing the highest population and can be found throughout the Pitts with the exception of a few areas.

The gangsters are dressed in ragged clothes and they are armed with assault rifles and baseball bats. One of the gangsters seeing the doctor running towards them asked " hey doc why the hurry? " with the doctor yelling  " he’s behind me! The Ripper is behind me! " as he runs into the arms of one of the gangsters.

The gangsters looking among themselves before staring nervously at the alleyway as then two of them begin walking to it. One of the two gangsters is arms with an assault rife while the other only has a baseball bat and as they draw closer, the Ripper suddenly emerges out, slashing one of them with his claws.

Blood burst from the gangsters neck as he drops dead while the other panic, before desperately swinging his bat at the Ripper only for it to break on impact.

The entire squad of gangster’s watch on in horror as their now defenceless comrade stands before death itself and before he could react, the Ripper grabs his arms and with a horrible tearing sound, rips it off.

The gangsters are frozen, helpless as their friend screams, falling as he bleeds while the Ripper looks down on him as he holds the Pandari’s arm.  

Seeing his friend fall, one of the gangsters yells “ ****! " one of the gangster yells as they all reach for there guns only to hear  boom.

One of the gangsters head erupts into a fountain of blood causing another gangster to yells " what the ****! " as a second boom goes off and now his dead.

The horrified doctor turns and the Ripper holding two large pistols no, they are far too big to be called pistol, they are more akin hand canons yes, the Ripper's hand canons.

The Ripper fires several more shots, all hitting their marks, all headshots. The Ripper is efficiently killing all the gangsters, without even wasting a bullet as the doctor watches on in horror, as he knows that soon the Ripper will have him.

However, a gangster grabs the doctor yelling " this way retard! " as he leads the him down another alleyway towards a steel door however,  the Ripper noticed and this runs after them while yelling with an annoyed tone " get back here! ",  his deep intimidating voice further frightens the doctor.

The gangster with the doctor in hand yells " hey big guys, get in here! " as they reach the door with the Ripper nearing them before suddenly stopping as a group of Bulls charge out.

The Ripper watches as the bulls charges towards him and with no hesitation the Ripper fires his guns boom, boom and two Bulls drop dead.

However, there are still more bulls with the largest of the bulls who stands at almost 3 metres tall, with two very large grey horns and midnight black fur who says in a dooming voice " so you’re the Ripper huh? Ha, you are strong but bulls are stronger! " before attacking.

As the Ripper battles the bulls, the doctor and gangster make it pass the thick metal door closing it as they run through and the Ripper, seeing this becomes viable annoyed as his eyes seem to glow red.

The bunny doctor pants behind the steel door before turning to the gangster with him and asking " do you think we are safe now? I mean it's the damn Ripper we are talking about ".

The gangster standing in front of him , looks at the steel door behind the bunny gloats by saying  " stop being a *****, that's a foot of solid reinforced steel not even a fucking Bull could break it down haha " but as the gangster finishes gloating a fist breaks through the brick wall he was standing besides.

Before the gangster could react, he’s grabbed and dragged through the wall, letting out a painful scream as the wall shatters even further.

The doctor stares in shock before nervously looking through the panda sized hole and seeing that the area full of dead Bulls. Their bodies are so mangled,  it seems like they were ripped apart by a large monster with some of their bodies even having bite wounds.

He then looks on in horror as from the large hole were a wall once was, a hand reached though as the Ripper walks in, reeking of death.

The Ripper glares at him with deep crimson eyes and the doctor seeing this murderous stare, runs up a near by staircase thinking to himself " I gotta move, I have people to look after, I have my family " as he soon breaks into a sprint.

He soon reaches up stairs which seems to br a living room and as he desperately tries to find an exit, the Ripper grabs his neck while stating  " enough running ". The doctor, full of despair begins to beg the Ripper “ please...no “ but before the Ripper could say anything, the wall facing them suddenly exploded.

As the doctors gets up, he sees that most of the room is on fire and that the Ripper is no where to be seen. Hearing someone yell “ hey doc you alive! “ the doctor walks towards the huge hole where a wall once was, and looking down he sees a car full of gangsters.

The gangsters are members of the gang the doctor was doing business with as he sees they are all Pandari and he also notices one of them is holding a rocket launcher. The gangsters seeing the doctor yell “ great you’re alive, now jump! “ as they position their car so he can land on it.

The doctor seeing that he is at least 4 metres above the car hesitate but hearing somethings he turns and sees the Ripper emerging from the rubble. Staring in fear as the Ripper gets up, the doctor turns back to the gangsters and seeing them looking at him, he thinks " its now or never " before jumping.

Landing onto the car the doctor can feel his leg hurting as the gangsters help him in before driving away. However, as they drive away, the Ripper suddenly descends on the car crushing the hood as this large mutant is too big for this car.

The car races down hill with the Ripper on it breaking through the roof and throwing gangsters into the traffic, allowing the passing cars to kill them for him.  " what are we gonna do! “ The doctor yelled with the driver yelling back " hang on! " as he turns sharply into an alleyway.

The turn was so sharp the Ripper was send into a nearby fuel truck, causing it to explode as he’s massive body burred itself into it. “ ha! He’s dead now “ the gangsters yelled as they cheered, but the doctor isn’t so sure the Ripper is gone.

As they drive into the alleyway, the doctor sees it's a dead end with a large car park surrounded by gangsters. The gangsters boss is also present and he is a very large ratman.

The ratman are a race of rat faced mutants and they are among the most common mutants found in this region of the Pitts. Males standing on average of 183cm while the females stand at 173cm, their thin bodies are covered in brown or black fur and they possess long rat-like tails.

This ratman boss however, stands at almost 2 metres tall and is heavily overweight with mattered brown fur and black eyes on his rat-like face. He is dressed in a purple suit with green pants, black shoes and he holds a golden cane.

The rat boss watches as the doctor runs out of the car and with crooked smile " good work doc, your family is safe thanks to you " but all the doctor can say is " the Ripper is going to kill us".

The rat boss hearing this says " ehhh the Ripper come on, no mutant can do what people say he can. It's just some merc with a big ego that all " but then the rat boss looks up and is frozen as he sees the Ripper.

All the gangsters stare at the seemly unharmed Ripper as he approaching with murder in his eyes. The rat boss then yelled  " open fire you dumb fucks " and all the gangsters open fire onto the Ripper.

The Ripper is bombarded by a hale of bullets, punching holes into his body however unknown to them, most of the bullets are only reaching skin deep. After a while they stop as they see Ripper standing seemly riddled with holes with blood pouring from his body.  

The rat boss seeing the Ripper beaten laugh " ahah is this the best Big Larry Ripper can do? Haha pathetic " but then the Ripper look up starring at the rat as suddenly steam erupts from him, pushing out all the bullets from his body.

The doctor watching on noticed that Ripper wounds are healing as his body pushing out the bullets. The doctor then noticed something disturbing, the Rippers back has starts to contort, as if something wants to break out.

All stare as from the Ripper back erupt eight large twin horned sliver scaled snakes with blood red eyes, the Ripper seeing their horrified faces comments " play time is over "as these snakes roar.

All the gangsters stare in horror unable to move seeing the snakes moving around, hissing as the Ripper standing before them menacingly and with no hesitation, the snakes strike at the gangsters, tearing them apart.

Blood and gore are all that can be seen as these sliver snakes rip these gangsters apart, biting whole limbs of as they let out a deadly hiss. The gangsters try to fight back, but there guns are powerless compared to the might of these snakes.

Their screams echo loudly as they are made into the Rippers meal, yes meal as these snakes are devouring these poor panda people.

The rat boss with fury in his eyes charges at the Ripper, only to be intercepted by one of the snakes whose horns rapidly grow into long blade impaling him. In desperation the rat boss claws the snake while blood gushes from him but he wasn’t paying attention and now the Ripper has walked closer to him.

Now to knowing his end is near, the rat boss looks up at the Ripper whose easily 50cm taller than him and watches as the red eyes mutant places his right arm on his head. Powerless to stop the Ripper, he screams as the Ripper, rips his head off.

As the last gangsters die, the doctor who was watching this whole time, is unable to process what he has just witnessed.  “ what are…you? ” he thinks as the snakes retract back into the Rippers back.  

The Ripper now free from the pest that have been annoying him  turns his gaze onto the doctor who tries to run away only to be grabbed again as the Ripper says  " no more running " . The Ripper then drags the doctor away, leaving the death gangsters to rot.

He soon brings him to a car park before walking to a long, low laying vehicle with square lines and a blunt nose with a massive chrome grill. This is the Rippers car and resembling a futuristic version of a 1930s era car, it is 2 metres in height and over 3 and a half metres long, this is quite a monster of a car.

Opening the back car doors, the Ripper reaching in and grabs some chains before throwing the doctor in the back seat. Laying in the back seat, the doctor turns and noticed the blue eyes of the Ripper as he holds these chains.

The doctor grunts in pain as the Ripper ties him up and noticing the doctors pain, the Ripper looks down seeing his injured leg. “ how’s the leg “ the Ripper askes making the doctor look at him with fearful eyes as he askes “ why do you even care? “ with the Ripper coldly answering “ because if you die before I take you to Larry, well I don’t get paid “ before shutting the door.

Now with the doctor bound by chains the Ripper drives off to meet Big Larry.
