Mia is a sweet and cute little girl, who is unaware of the harsh world.

She is just 21 years old. She is the only daughter of her parents and currently a student.

Mia's Mom Jenna was sitting in the lounge watching TV.

Mia entered, "La La La La".

"Why are you so happy baby?" Jenna asked.

"I don't have any classes tomorrow, so I will sleep as much as a I want to.! Yeh!!!!" Mia replied with excitement.

"Oh, My silly little girl". Jenna kissed her forehead, "Go and eat something" Jenna said .

"Yes mom!" Mia replied.

Mia was going to the kitchen, suddenly her father Mr. John entered the home.

"Hello Dad! I missed you so much....,Do you want to eat something?" she asked.

"No!" Mr. John harshly replied and went to his room.

...."Maybe he's a little tired..." Mia said to her Mom sadly and ran towards the kitchen.

"Ahh! My poor little baby" Jenna said.

The next day;

"Mom, Mom" Mia called.

Jenna was in the kitchen, "What happened, Mia? Why are you shouting?" Jenna asked.

"I'm not shouting Mom, I was just calling you.....By the way, I was saying that, What if we visit an amusement park today? I also just saw dad is at home. Its been a long time that we three have visited somewhere." Mia said.

" Hmm... You're right! Let me ask to your Dad first." Jenna replied.

"Okay Mom!, I'll wait for you, You go ask Dad now." Mia replied and opened a packet of chips to eat.

At this Jenna nodded her head and went to her room.

Jenna and Mr. John's room;

"Don't you both have anything else? You're totally reckless! I'm not like you, I'm a busy person, I have many things to do. Will a visit to an amusement park give me money? Not, right!? Just tell that stupid girl that she is no longer a kid now, if she don't have interest in studies then do a job and earn money for me! Now go! Stop wasting my time!" Mr. John replied harshly.

Jenna didn't said anything and sadly left the room.

Kitchen;

Jenna entered.

Mia had heard everything what Mr. John said as he was very loud that anyone in this small house could hear everything.

"Mom! I just remembered that I have to make a project now, it's really important...., .....What if we go to the park next time?" Mia said sweetly.

"Okay! Then you go work on your project and I will make your favorite dessert." Jenna smiles.

"You're the best mom in the world!!" Mia hugged jenna and left the kitchen.

"You're more mature than your age my daughter, hope your future will be brighter than this...." Jenna said sadly.

Mia's room;

Mia was sitting on her bed with a blanket on herself as she was hiding from someone.

She was crying.

" Dad! Why are you not like other dads. I don't say this in front of Mom because I don't want to hurt her but the reality is that I'm really hurt I can't tolerate this anymore, you don't love me like the other dads, who love their children more than anything. I also want your time, you don't even like to talk to me." She said while crying.

The night passed like this.

Next day;

Everyone is sitting on the table for breakfast.

Someone called Mia.

"What? Then what will I do now? I have an important class today!.....Hmm...Okay, I try to do something." Mia said on the phone.

"What happened, Mia?" Jenna asked while serving.

"Mom, Erica is not going to college today, so who will drop me now?" Mia replied.( Erica and Mia are neighbors, they both study in the same college. So, they both go to the college together daily)

"That's really a problem..." Jenna replied and started to think about something.

"Will you please drop her today?" Jenna asked Mr.John.

Mia got surprised at first then started to look at Mr. John hopefully.

"Okay! But I will not pick her up, she will have to take a bus." he replied while eating.

"Okay dad, okay, okay. I will take a bus!" Mia replied excitingly.

Mia was really happy that her father was dropping her.

They both left after the breakfast.

In the car;

"Woohoo! Its the first time dad is dropping me. I'm sure he will soon be nice to me like the other dads." Mia happily said to herself.

After sometime;

Some people blocked thier way and came in front of their car when the car was stopped at the red light.

"Come, outside. NOW!!!!" One of them shouted.

Mr. John opened the door and went towards those people.

"Please don't shout, its the road, let's talk in the evening." Mr. John replied in a lower voice.

"What road? Everyone should know what kind of person are you!" He replied harshly and his sight went inside the car where Mia was sitting and was very scared.

"Ohhh!!  So, that's your daughter, she's beautiful, and looks young..." He said with a dirty smile on his face.

"Please let's talk in the evening...." Mr. John requested.

"Okay, Okay. I'm leaving you now just because of your daughter, I just saw her and it made my mood!" He smirked.

"Thank you thank you!" Mr. John relaxed.

They all left from there.

Mr. John entered the car;

"Who were they dad?" Mia asked.

"Shut up! It's none of your business" Mr. John replied harshly.

Mia became a little sad then started thinking "Who were they, why were they looking at me like this? I was so afraid."

"Well, I don't have to be afraid of anything as long as my dad are with me, dads always protect their daughters." She comforted herself.

At the college,

Mia was sitting on her desk looking at a young handsome boy named Sam who was busy in writing something. (Mia and Sam were classmates since 3 years. Mia secretly like Sam and what Mia don't know is that Sam also have a soft corner in his heart for Mia)

"My God! He's so handsome...." Mia said while forgetting herself in his charm.

"I don't know when will I get the power to tell you that I like you!" She wondered.

Sam suddenly looked at her, Mia got confused and started to look here and there.

"I don't know when will I get the power to tell you that I really like you....!" Sam wondered while looking at her.

"I am so nervous what if you will reject me....?" He thought.

"But now I have to find a better chance to tell you, maybe you will agree to me and if you'll be not then I will do what you want, I'll be happy in what you're happy...." Sam decided.

"Come on class! Be silent and take out all of your projects what I had told you to make in yesterday!" The teacher suddenly arrived.

"Project! O damn! I forgot to make the project yesterday, I was so sad because of my Dad that I slept yesterday while crying..." She got worried.

Sam saw her and realized that she didn't have the project.

He was going to write his name on his own project, after thinking he suddenly wrote Mia's name on it and then he secretly puts the project at the side of Mia's table but Mia didn't realize it.

Teacher came towards Mia.

"Mia! Where's your project?" He asked.

"Actually Sir, that... Umm...my project....I forgot to make it!" She said nervously to the teacher.

"What? You forgot it?" The teacher got a little angry.

He suddenly saw a file under a book.

"Wait. What's that?" He took the file.

"Hmm...this? I don't know sir whose file is this!" She got nervous.

"This is not someone's, this is yours, this is your project." the teacher said looking her name at the front page.

"My, My project???" She pointed with a finger to herself, she didn't understand what was happening.

"Yeah! Yours! Look this is your name!" He showed the file to her.

"Yeah! It's my name but..." She was going to say something that suddenly Amy interrupted, "No Sir, it's actually her project, at the morning she was saying that she is not impressed with her project this time, maybe it will affect her grades so now she decided to hide this project from you because she was thinking that you will scold her because of this project.

"Amy!" Mia unknowingly called Amy.

"Don't worry! Sir will not scold you, you worked very hard!" Amy said.

"This is great, even the best project I've ever checked until now!" The teacher said while turning the pages.

"Look!" Amy said happily.

"But Sir..." Mia was going to say something.

"No buts, I'm really impressed with you today, now you can be relaxed, I will surely give you highest grades in this project!" The teacher said.

Mia sat down while thinking.

After some other students, the teacher went to Sam.

"Your project, Sam!" He said.

"I forgot it sir..." Sam said.

"What?" The teacher asked angrily.

"Actually, I was not feeling well yesterday so I forget it." Sam explained.

"You're not a kid anymore, you're a college student now, Sam. Also, you're the topper of our class, I didn't expected this from you!" The teacher embarrassed him.

"I'm really sorry Sir! Just give me a day I will make it for sure." Sam requested.

"Hmm...Okay as you're a brilliant student, you have to represent the class, so I will give you a chance. But this is the first and last one, I will not forgive you next time!" The teacher said. "Okay, thank you so much, Sir!" Sam thanked the teacher and sat down.

After some time;

The teacher left, "Amy! What was that? Why you lied to the teacher? And where does this file came from?" Mia asked a lot of questions to Amy at a time.

"I don't know about that file but I just wanted to save you from the teacher that's why I lied." Amy explained.

"But that's not right!" Mia said.

"What's not right? Huh!? You didn't stole someone else's project. This is already presented on your desk. Also, your name is written on it, that means someone had purposely put it here." Amy said after understanding everything.

Sam was listening everything what they were talking about but didn't said anything.

Mia thought about this for some time.

"Ahh!!! Anyways just forget it, good wishes for the one who placed it!" Mia said.

At this Sam smiled while looking at his book.

"Yeah! Let's go and eat something." Amy said.

"Yup!" Mia said and they both left the class.

"I know that Sam had put the project file on your desk, I didn't tell you this because I don't want you to know what Sam feel about you because...

because...

I also love him. But I love you too... I don't want to hurt you that's why I saved you today. I don't want to lose you both...." Amy was thinking while walking with Mia.

After the college ends;

Mia was waiting for the bus on the bus stop. "I don't know when the bus will come. I never used a bus before. I wish that I wouldn't have let Amy leave and she would have dropped me. Now I'm stuck here." Mia got worried.

" Hey miss! Are you waiting here for the bus?" A man asked.

"Yeah!" Mia replied. "There are no more buses to come, because the weather is bad so its better that you will find taxi before the rain starts." The man said.

"Umm...what??? Oh, okay, okay thank you Sir." Mia got more worried.

The man left.

"What do I do? What do I do? There are even no taxis. Every taxi comes, is full of passengers..." She said to herself.

"Its better that I walk to the home before tha rain starts." She decided.

After sometime, the rain starts.

"Oh, no! Come on Mia! Run! Run!" Mia put her bag on her head and started to run.

Suddenly a car stopped beside her.

Mia stopped for a second and looked at the car and was going to run again that she stopped at someone's voice. "Mia!" Some one called her.

"Ah! Its my name!" Mia realized.

"Who?" Mia asked while turning.

A guy came out of the car.

"Sam!" Mia nearly shouted.

"Shh!!! Its the road. Come on!" Sam said while pointing towards the car.

"Ahh... No! No! it's alright. I'll go by myself." Mia said.

"There are no buses and not even a single taxi. Still you wanna go by yourself!?" His point was towards the rain.

She looked at the rain which was getting heavy after every second and thought for a moment then went towards his car.

"What are you doing here?" Mia asked while sitting in the car.

"I was just going home that I saw you." Sam replied.

"Oh!" Mia said.

"Why my heart is beating so fast, Ahh!!! I can't control this." Mia thought and got a little uncomfortable.

"Are you alright?" Sam asked.

"Ah!...yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm perfectly fine!" Mia replied with hesitation.

Sam stopped the car.

"Why did he stop the car?" Mia thought.

"Why did you stop the car here? Its not my home yet." Mia asked.

"I just want to tell you something." Sam replied.

"Tell me something?" Mia pointed towards herself.

"Yeah!" Sam replied.

"What is he going to say!? Ah! My heart is beating fast...." Mia got a little shy and uncomfortable.

"I just wanted to tell you that....that..." Sam hadn't completed his sentence.

"That, what?" Mia asked.

"That, if you need any help in making any projects or assignments I'll be there, whenever you need help you can ask me." Sam said.

"Oh...okay, okay, Thanks. Let's go now!" Mia got disappointed.

"You're welcome. Also I wanted to say that I like you since I first saw you." He said while watching the rain outside from the window.

"Oh. Okay, Okay. AHH?!! What!??!" Mia got shocked.

"Yeah, I really like you, I was just finding a right time to tell you this." Sam said.

"He likes me, he likes me, he likes me. Yey!!!!! But what do I do now? I can't say that I like you too... Oh my God! I'm so shy..." She was thinking everything in a fast mode.

"Ah! Sam, my house is in the next street can you please drop me there? My mom will be waiting for me." Mia said without even thinking about it that what was she talking about.

"Hmm..yeah, okay!" Sam got a little disappointed.

"Mia! You dumb! What did you say. Ohh, why did you say this?" She was crying in her thoughts.

They arrived at Mia's home.

Mia opened the door.

"Don't you wanna come in?" Mia asked.

"No, next time." Sam said.

"Oh, okay. By the way, I will give you the answer tomorrow." Mia said with a smile.

"Ah! Okay then! I'll wait for your answer." Sam said excitedly.

"Okay then! Good bye. Take care!" Mia said.

"Hope so, this day will pass quickly. Good bye! I'll miss you." Sam said.

Mia gave a smile and went inside her home.

At Mia's house;

"Mom, I'm home!" Mia shouted.

"Mia! Are you alright!?" Jenna was scared.

"Yes mom! I'm perfectly fine. What happened to me?" Mia asked.

"Oh my baby! I got very scared." Jenna hugged her.

Jenna's thoughts;

Mr. John came back to the house after dropping Mia to get some papers.

Jenna was going to the room to ask him if he found his papers or did he need her help.

She listened him talking to someone on phone.

"Yes! Yes! I've decided what to do now. I don't have money so..." Mr.john said.

Jenna stopped outside the door after listening these words.

"So, I will give you my daughter." It was just like a bomb on Jenna's head. She was going to fall. "Look! Today is tuesday, you can take her away next tuesday. I will do some preparations also. I will send my wife to a supermarket so you can take her easily." Mr. John said.

As he hung up the call, Jenna immediately came to the kitchen worriedly.

"No, No. I will not let my daughter be sold like this." Jenna was breathing heavily.

"I have to do something now." She decided.

In present;

Jenna hugged Mia.

"Mia! Where's your passport?" Jenna asked.

"My passport? Why do you need my passport Mom?" Mia asked.

"What happened, Mom? Is everything alright? Why are you so scared?" She asked again.

"Nothing, I just wanted to put your passport on a safe place with mine and your dad's passports." Jenna explained.

"Okay, mom. Its in the left drawer of my cupboard" Mia said.

"Okay then! Go eat something" Jenna said.

"Okay mom!" Mia said.

The next day;

"Where are you going?" Jenna asked Mia who was brushing her hair.

"You forgot Mom! It's my time to go to college." Mia said.

"No, you're not going anywhere." Jenna said immediately and got worried.

"But mom.. I have to go to college, my exams are near." Mia explained.

"No, No you will not go anywhere. I don't wanna let you go anywhere. Just stay with me.. Mia! Please don't leave me." Jenna started crying.

"Mom! What's wrong? Please stop crying. I'm not going anywhere." Mia comforted Jenna.

Mia picked up a glass of water from the table and gave it to Jenna.

"Drink some water Mom! Calm down!" Mia sat beside Jenna.

Jenna drank some water.

"What's wrong, Mom?" Mia asked.

"Nothing. Just stay with me for some days." Jenna requested.

"Oh, Okay Mom. Okay, okay. Calm down." Mia hugged Jenna.

"Alright! I go cook something delicious for you." Jenna said.

"Okay Mom!" Mia said and Jenna left the room.

"What do I do? I had to give a reply to Sam today. Also I can't call him, my phone isn't working because it got wet after yesterday's rain." Mia thought.

"The most important thing for me is my mom now, I will talk to him after going to school. I'm sure after listening that I like him too, he will be very happy." Mia thought with a smile.

Sunday; Midnight.

Mia was sleeping in her room.

Jenna came silently, "Get up Mia! Get up!" Jenna was trying to wake Mia up.

"Umm....Mom! What happened? Is everything alright?" After seeing her mom worried at midnight she sat up quickly.

"Yeah! Get up Mia! We're going." Jenna said and stood up from the bed.

"But mom! Where are we going at this time?" Mia asked.

"Come on Mia! We don't have time for discussions. I've packed your suitcase, the taxi is waiting outside." She held her through her arm.

"Mom!!! Okay okay I'm going. You calm down!" Mia got up from the bed.

They both sat in the taxi.

"Mom! Now can you please tell me where are we going?" Mia asked unknowingly.

"We're just going to the airport, and then you alone will go to China." Jenna explained.

"What!?? What are you saying, Mom? Why am I going to China? I don't want to go to China." Mia got surprised.

"Sir, please turn the taxi back to our home." Mia said to the driver.

"No, you go where you're going!" Jenna said to the driver.

"No. Mom! I don't want to go to China. Please Mom. And why are you sending me there!?" Mia was still confused.

"You want to know why am I sending you there so secretly?" Jenna asked.

"Yes mom!" Mia said.

"Then listen....( All the things that Mr. John were trying to do)" Jenna explained.

"Mom!!!No! My dad is not like this! He really loves me. He's just hard from outside but from inside he loves me a lot." Mia's eyes got wet.

"My baby! You have to accept this, that your so-called father just love money nothing else!" Jenna hugged her.

"But mom why, why am I so unlucky???" Mia was crying.

"You're not unlucky, your dad was just a bad chapter of your life. I'm sure your future will be as bright as the stars" Jenna comforted her.

"But, Mom! What will I do in China? I never visited there? I don't know anyone there. I just know some Chinese and nothing else. Also why are you not coming with me?" Mia asked a lot of questions in nervousness.

"At first, I have a friend in China. I've already talked to her she will give you a room for sometime but we can't depend on herself. You have to find a job there and will have to find a home for yourself. Secondly, I can't go there because I have to manage things here after you. The people that are behind you are not easy to handle." Jenna said.

"But mom! This is harmful." Mia got worried.

"A mom is not afraid of any danger if it is the question of her child." Jenna kissed Mia's forehead.

"This is some money that will help you there and also a new phone, you can't bring the old phone and sim card there because they can track you." Jenna gave her some money and a mobile phone.

After sometime;

"We've arrived!" the driver said.

After paying to the driver, they both got out of the taxi.

"I can't accompany you anymore, you may go now." Jenna said.

"Mom!!  I will miss you mom." Mia cried and hugged her.

"I will be in contact with you, also after handling everything here, I will also come to China, You go now." Jenna said.

"I'll wait for you, Mom." Mia's eyes were wet.

At the airport;

*The next flight to China is going to take off in 25 Minutes*

"I've always loved you dad, but what have I ever done wrong that you haven't loved me." Mia was thinking while walking. Her eyes were red.

She tried to stop her tears but she can't.

"Good bye, Sam. You are my first love. But people says that no one ever gets his first love." Mia cried, but now the tears in her eyes was for Sam.

The next day;

Mia came out of the airport. It was evening.

She didn't know where to go. She just had the address that her mom had gave to her.

She decided to take a taxi.

She was standing on the road.

A taxi came, "Excuse me! Can you please drop me to this address?(In Chinese)" Mia asked the driver.

"Okay, Okay. Sit in the car!" The driver said.

Mia was watching the buildings and people through a window.

"We've arrived, little girl!" The driver said.

"Okay, Thank you sir!" Mia gave him money.

"Where are you from, little girl?" The driver asked.

"I'm from England." Mia replied nicely.

"Good good! But you're Chinese is very good." The driver said.

"Thank you so much sir that's because I love to learn different languages." Mia said and left the taxi.

It was a low class area with a lot of people.

There were no buildings there just some small houses.

The children were playing outside.

Mia decided to ask through some people about her mother's friend.

"Excuse me sir! Do you know Miss.Sheng Hua?" She asked to and old man who was selling some fruits there.

"Ah! Sheng Hua? No, I don't. There are many people here, it's difficult to remember everyone's name." The old man said.

"It's alright, Sir." Mia said.

"Let me ask to any woman here. Most of the women know other women in their neighborhood." Mia decided.

"You know that Sheng Hua! What kind of weird woman she is! She was wearing a red lipstick tomorrow. Ha Ha Ha!!! I mean just look at her age!" Mia heard a woman's talks and stopped.

"Yeah! Creepy old woman! Ha ha ha." Another woman said. "I was right, a women knew another women in her neighborhood very well." Mia smiled.

" Excuse me Miss! Can you please tell me where Miss. Sheng hua lives?" Mia asked to one of the women.

"Oh, That old creepy Sheng Hua! That's her home!" She pointed towards a house who was looking like a small and a very old one.

"Thank you so much." Mia thanked them.

"By the way, who are you? We haven't seen you before here." When Mia was about to go, the other woman asked.

"Actually, I'm her friend's daughter. I'm from England. I came here to visit her." Mia replied nicely.

"Oh, Okay." The women took a look of her and went to their own way.

Mia also came to Sheng Hua's house.

She knocked the door...after some time; a young girl opened the door. She was about 23,24 years old.

"Hello!" Mia said with a smile.

"Who are you?" She asked harshly.

"I'm Mia. I'm Miss Sheng Hua's friend's daughter." Mia replied.

"Oh..." She said.

"MOM!!!" She shouted.

Miya got scared at first then she calmed down.

"Some Mia is at the door." She said while shouting.

Her mom came, "Who Mia?" She asked.

"I'm Jenna's daughter. My Mom had talked to you." Mia replied.

"Oh. I remember now, come inside." Sheng hua said.

Their house was little and had a lot of things placed inside. There were only two people there.

Sheng hua and her daughter Sheng min.

"We only have a single room here, so you can sleep on the terrace, your mom said that you will only live here for some days it's easy for you to manage on the terrace." Sheng hua said while cooking something.

"Huh! Terrace?" Mia asked.

"Yes! Terrace Miss! We don't have space in our living room, not even in our room, you can spread a mattress just on the terrace." Sheng Min replied harshly.

"But what if it rained?" Mia asked.

"We have a little roof there, so there will be not much water of rain." Sheng min replied while watching TV.

"Ah! Not much water!!??" Mia thought.

"I'm going to sleep, Mom."

Sheng min went to the room and Mia came to the terrace with a Mattress.

It was a very broken roof on it also it was very cold there. "Hope so! It will not rain today." Mia thought.
