Is happiness really what we need or revenge that can make any person happy?”I ask myself. Hi, my name is Verose and I am here to write a story about friends who later on turned to enemies. And I forgot to tell you that I have a secret and later I will tell you in the end of the story. My protagonists are Shane and Quincey. The story starts now…….

“No matter how beautiful a rose is, it still has a thorn on it” Quincey said in an angry tone and Shane replied….

“Look who’s talking? Aren’t you the one who betray me first how dare you”

“Maybe I trust you too much because we’ve been friends for a long time but Quincey you broke our friendship first” Quincey answers back Shane calmly…

“How many times do I have to tell you that I didn’t do it and someone just wants us to fight and ruin our friendship and also maybe it’s your fault also because I remember one time you told me that you accidentally told someone about it” but Shane didn’t believe it and said…..

“Whatever you backstabber and from now on your not my friend anymore”

“Shane wait sorry, whatever it is sorry….” But it’s too late and Shane walked out didn’t hear it and the day end just like that.

The next day Shane told the story to her male classmate Jarvis and Jarvis replied

“Why don’t both of you talked about it once again calmly and work it out?”

“But Jarvis how, I can’t even trust all the words that coming out of her mouth”

Shane and Verose has been friend since childhood because of their parents. Quincey is a shy type kind of person and can’t even approach her own classmate while Shane is an outgoing and friendly person that’s why many people like her. Both of them are beautiful and smart and they have many wooers that is why many of their classmate envy them. Their friendship is what they treasure the most because they can tell each other any secrets that they have without hiding anything. And the foundation of friendship that mostly needed is trust, that is with them the moment they became friends but little did they know that the foundation that they build will also be the one who ruins it. And about a week after their argument, a bad news has been delivered to Shane by Jarvis. Jarvis said…

“Shane what are you going to do about it?”

“Jarvis I forgive a lot, but I only trust once and now that it all has come to this I will solve it by myself“

“Hey Shane don’t do anything stupid”

“No worries I won’t, just leave it to me”

And at that moment Quincey sent a message to Shane telling her to meet up where they usually do and talk about it. After a while the two of them talk again after almost a week,

“Shane do you remember what we always do here we always….” Shane stops the happily talking Quincey and answer in sarcasm……

“STOP Quincey, my dear friend I’m not here to talk about those foolish things”

“So what are you going to do about it you started it all and now look what you have done” Quincey replied….

“It’s not me how many times do I have to……” Quincey abruptly stops the moment she saw Shane crying…

“Many people are saying…. many bad and mean…..things to me and they don’t…..even know the whole story and…. and it’s all because of your….your dirty mouth” Shane said while buffering and crying.

“Shane it’s not what you think it is and you know that I will never do that to you no matter what happens” Quincey added

“ People will judge you no matter what you do, so just **** what they think and do what you want” Quincey tries to come near to Shane to hug her and console her but the crying and angry girl move backwards and replied in a low voice…

“Die Quincey…..”

“What I didn’t hear you?” Quincey asked even though she heard it a little and thinking that she hear it wrongly and hoping that Shane didn’t utter that word but……

“I want you to kill yourself and die, Quincey maybe that way the pain that I feel right now will fade” Shane replied without looking at her and without thinking how painful the words that came out to her mouth.

“Shane! For god sake how can you…..is that what you really want?” Quincey said with a tears coming out her eyes, Shane replied….

“Yes, I mean no…….” she finally look at Quincey and didn’t bother to continue her sentence.

“One of the reason I asked you to come here is to tell you that it’s okay for you to blame me and I will ask for your forgiveness and if it’s still not enough you can revenge on me. Yes, Shane I am willing to move aside my pride and ego for you and for the sake of our friendship but you disappoint me even more….” Quincey said while crying her hearts out and walked out Shane called out her name once but Quincey didn’t stop

“Quincey what the hell really happened” Shane talking to herself.

And again their conversation end like that. The next day at school Jarvis saw Shane looking sad and ask her what happen but Shane doesn’t want to talk about it but Jarvis repeatedly asked and Shane finally told him the story reluctantly. The both of them goes to the canteen but on the way there they can hear people talking and badmouthing Shane that made her mad and angry and forget all the things Quincey said last night.

“I really hate it” Shane said…

“You hate who Quincey?” Jarvis asked

“I don’t know my mind is a mess right now”

“She said that you can revenge on her right?” Jarvis added

“Why not do it? Who knows if that can clear your mess up mind?” Jarvis said shrugging

“But Jarvis she’s my best friend and…”

“Shane friends don’t betray each other and a real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out and what you’ll just let those people judge and shamelessly slander you?”Jarvis abruptly meddle. Shane doesn’t know what to reply to what Jarvis said and stayed quiet.

“Shane……. SHANE!” Jarvis loudly calling Shane in daze

“Jarvis what the hell” Shane shocked

“Now what you can’t do it am I right?” he said and sneer

“Shane remember you still have me let me do it”

“Huh? Jarvis what are you…I can’t understand you?” Shane replied and muddled

“What I’m saying is I will be the one who’s going to revenge for you, tell me all the secrets you know about her and I will do it exactly how she has done it to you, it is doable right?” Jarvis pursed his mouth in a self-satisfied smirk

“But Jarvis aren’t you afraid even a little you seemed smug about it and why does it looks like you’re eager to do it even….”

“So Shane lets end it here and just message me about it I have to go” he meddle in her sentence again and walk in rush.

Shane can’t understand Jarvis because the Jarvis she knows can’t do something like that or maybe she honestly doesn’t know him or perhaps her gentle exterior is a mask and what he just said could be part of their conversation or it could also be that’s he’s up to no good from the start. But Shane can’t deny that what Jarvis said affected her and still continue their plan. And after a day after Jarvis did their plan, Shane didn’t expect that the outcome is much worse than she expected.

“That Quincey is shameless…”

“How dare that woman do that….”

“Who the hell she thinks she is…..”

“Aside her beautiful face she has nothing…”

Despite hearing all of this like Jarvis and Shane plans, it didn’t make her happy a bit instead she realized that this is not what she wants. Ever since that day Quincey started not going to school and Jarvis too, and after five days of Shane trying to call him…..

“Damn it! Jarvis you damn trust me once I see you I’ll punch your freaking face…..” incoming call…

“Hello auntie Mary what’s the matter?” Quincey’s mom

After the call, next day

“Quincey what’s up it’s been a while look at how pale you are I came here to say sorry for not trusting you, betraying you and putting you in danger…..Quincey….”

“Shane it’s alright. Since it is all in the past forget about it”

“But how, how can I forget it I….the….reason why…” crying

“Shane I already forgive you even if you won’t ask for it, you’re my only friend remember”

“I don’t deserve it, I apologize for everything and I know it’s too late” crying hardly

“It’s alright Shane everything is going to be alright…” Quincey’s mom

“I just didn’t expect to say all of this in front of your……coffin, again sorry Quincey” said Shane

It’s truly too late when Shane discover everything. The mess, I mean all of it started the moment Quincey rejected Jarvis’s confession and turned down his love for her at first, Shane don’t know who to blame if it’s herself or Jarvis because ,“regardless, I know you will keep going down this path because humans always oppose gods ways they will instinctively seek their own path of happiness”. I, Shane Verose Del Valle, that’s my whole name and I am one of the protagonists in this story. That is my secret I want to tell whoever will be reading this.
