Mark slightly bowed as an acknowledgement. Not interested even a tiny bit if it has nothing to do with Ze.

Seeing how Mark wasn't replying anymore, Casper continued to not make Weibing feel embarassed.

And since she lose all interest noticing how she was a white lotus. She didn't even bother to show her virtuous manners.

The atmosphere had turned chilly all of a sudden.

And if Ze wasn't going after Ran she find it better to not be too obvious about her hostility. And even felt regret seeing how Ran didn't even back her up. And how he actually creases his eyebrows lightly when she said that.

How could she have known about how much of an obsession Ran had over Ze, in their rare moments of meeting up when she was called to keep up her act of being his partner. Just to avoid a series of matchmaking from his mother and tabloids from media.

The guys reading the atmosphere could tell what Weibing was hinting and thought of how foolish it is to say that to Ze. She was after all the one and only Ze.

He felt restless to explain himself to Ze. How Weibing was just an employee of his, how there was actually nothing going on between them unlike how his friends ranted on about them.

He couldn't get himself composed inside at all, seeing how Ze wasn't even trying to talk up to him or tell him when she was back, why she was there, why she hasn't visited him or his family.

And most of all why she treated him as air, and Mark gets most of her attention when she didn't even bat an eye at him for even seconds.

He was clenching his glass really hard and was staring holes at her with his train of thoughts.

Their gathering was eventful and the atmosphere had been really good.

Neglecting the part that Weibing find it really hard to keep up with the others.

When they reminisced about their teenage school days and how their business and careers are doing.

Midnight almost struck and most of them were quite drunk already with the amount of shots they take.

However Ran along with Weibing, Mark and Ze were just at the point of getting tipsy.

Ze and Ran had always been quite sober in any drink together, perks of being a CEO.

When they were strating to decide to end the gathering, Casper brought up the topic of another hang out while Ze was with them at the next coming days.

Ze till when are you staying here. Well I'm asking Mother Liu to throw a barbecue and a get together. Don't think of turning it down. Casper said.

The atmosphere getting lively again at the mention of another official get together.

He asked genuinely curious on how it would save time and energy. Since two of their friends were dead drunk and wanted Mark's help.

And that all of a sudden finally made Ran realised, Ze wasn't even lodging at their house at the time. Which give him a rush of realization and ridicule at what Ze was actually doing. And now he was fully focussing on Ze waiting for her answer staring at her straight as if he was trying to burn a hole on her face.

And Ze after seconds had to reluctantly tell them that she had bought a penthouse, after cussing at Casper a multiple times in her head.

Oh that... I bought a penthouse a few days back since we are branching out here... she said avoiding Ran's heated glare from the side.

Casper cheered,

Ay.... That calls for another partyyy

Ze rolled her eyes at him and said,

And speed walk out of the bar with Mark following her along. Before Ran had a chance for further inquiry.
