A chaotic thunderstorm was going on during the battle between the four large clans on the open field outside the capital of Toshi. The battle started to get beyond control except where the family leaders were, they were behind his family's army. The battle began to be a big carnage without any success for either party. Upon the top of the mountain outside Toshi next to the battlefield came two mighty warriors who, with the lightning struck on the battlefield, stopped everything that was going on. The four clans looked towards the mighty warriors who had stopped the battle. They felt the devastating deadly feeling before the smoke from the downpour had settled. When the smoke had settled, the warriors on the battlefield saw who they were. It was the brothers Kumo Yan and Kumo Yun from the Cloud family. The first thought from the other families was that they were to help the Cloud family. But they thought wrong. The brothers exploded with anger and killed everyone who was near them. The leader of all the families reacted directly and took action towards the brothers to stop them from killing everyone on the battlefield. Kumo Yan and Yun saw the leaders come there way and created an ice wall around them to stop the leaders' attack.

25 years earlier

The twin brothers Yan and Yun were born into the Cloud family, which has it easier than any other family to use the Wind element and has the name Kumo before the first name to show that they are from Cloud family. Yuns and Yans parents are father Kumo Lacon and mother Kumo Attika who are the Cloud family's war heroes from the recent war that was the third clan war. The war was devastating and a lot of losses for all the clans and some of the losses had very powerful abilities, the Chi (Earth) family had lava and Woodelement users who fell, the Hi (Fire) family also had lava users but also Lightning users who fell, the Mizu (Water) family lost Wood users and ice users, the Kumo (Cloud) family lost many lightning and ice users. These important people who fell during the battle were valuable to these clans, they showed the Clans power and abilities. There are three major reasons why these wars have gone on for as long as they have done and these reasons are power, social status and the revenge circle (the revenge circle is about one person killing another person and then the one having a good relationship with it kill the person wants to kill the person who has killed the person, etc.).

After the war, the clans agreed that they would be united as a people, united in a city of Toshi in the country of Toshikikay. The other clans outside Toshikikay did the same. On the world map after the third clan war, there were four countries on the map: Toshikikay, Yinimari, Makikaki, and Kirigaya.

24 years earlier

The leader of the country Toshikikay was selected for strength, intelligence, and Social status. The first leader of Toshikikay became Mizu Kay who was from the Water family. Mizu Kay's first revolutionary initial decision after building up the city and all that it´s entailed (building a marketplace, police, fire brigade, health care, etc.) but the revolutionary decision he made was to build an academy for children who can control an element. When the children turned five years old, they would check if the children had elements in them. Everyone who had an element in them was allowed to go to the academy while the rest were allowed to go to school.

In this world there are four main elements on which the other elements are based, they are earth, fire, water, and wind. With these elements you can combine different elements to create a new element, but you can also develop your ability within one element or several elements. The elements that have been found so far except the base elements are the wood element that is combined with earth and water, the ice element that is combined with water and wind, the lightning element that is combined with fire and wind and the lava element that is combined with earth and fire. But there is always something to be found within all the combinations of the elements.

23 years earlier 7th of August

It´s the morning of the first school day and the brothers Yun and Yan have longed waited for this day to come. They were very excited and woke up early in the morning to get ready. The clock was 06:30 in the morning and the brothers sneaked into the parent's room to scare them. But their plan backfired when they realized that they wasn´t there. But suddenly someone grabbed them from behind and gave them a real scare. It was Father Lacos, Yan, and Yun laugh but then Yun had enough he asked to drop them on the floor with a smile. Lacon answered “alright” with a laughing smile. Yan wondered how they know that they were coming. Lacon said that they were very loud, so Attika and he heard every word and plan that the brothers spoke of.  “wow that’s awesome” said Yan but his brother Yun disagree and said “Yan you are really stupid!! Because of your high speaking tone, they woke up and prepared an ambush and failed our attempt, you call that awesome?”  Yan answered, “that is true, but it was your idea to continue”. Father burst in laughter and said, “come let´s have breakfast”. Everyone went to the kitchen and sat down on each chair and had breakfast with Mother Attika. Attika gave the boys each book that was about the school journey. The boys read the book while they ate.

“Your Academy Journey”

“Now your Academy Journey begins, today it´s your first school day at the Academy and this is a guide that explains how your stages work. When you are six years old your class will be first-class, when seven-year second class and eight-years third class. But when you are 9 years old you have the opportunity to train under a master for one year. When you are 10 years old you will do the Junior Exam to continue in the Academy. If you succeed in the Junior Exam you will go from junior class one to junior class two and last junior class three. Then you will graduate from the Academy and get your degree.  Then your master journey begins...”

The boys were finished with breakfast and brushing their teeth, Yun and Yan got the schoolbag said, “we are of see yea”.  with a smile and the feeling of excitement they went to the with Leo who they met on the way to the Academy.

There was a big crowd in the yard when Yun, Yan, and Leo arrived through the Academy gates. The principal Dan Chan appeared to the students and introduced the new year of studies to the older students and gave the new class the introduction of their first year of studies.

“Welcome to your first year at the academy my name is Rector Don Chan and these persons beside me are your teachers. First Ying Kun: Nature and geography teacher, second Yig Kasemoto: History teacher, third May Gun: martial art teacher and last your mentor May Teomari: basic war strategy teacher. the academy is called Toshi High and I welcome you with open arms and my advice to you is to work hard but train harder. good luck my students”.

“oooooooo yyyeeeeaa this is going to be great I can't wait,” said Yan

After the ceremony, the class went to the first lesson which was the introductory lesson with the class mentor May Teomari. She greeted the class and presented herself, She was before becoming a teacher the war strategies for the May family during the third clan war.

Family May was a great clan with many talents but during the war, they had many casualties following the battle against the Chi family. Even though the Chi family won the battle, because of Teomari's expertise, Chi could not continue but had to retire. The May family was almost wiped out after the battle.

After the introduction she asked us to introduce ourselves, she had a name list and spoke the names from the first ones on the list to the last. She later gave information on what we were going to learn through the course and delivered the schedule to the students.

Later from the lesson, the class got to the yard to have a break. The atmosphere between the groups that had formed in the class was very intense. This was because partly they did not know each other and partly the prejudices between the students.

The three boys from the Hi family approached Yan, Yun, and Leo. Yun and Yan saw through them that they wanted trouble and took one step forward in front of Leo, who did not understand what was to happen. Fie, Ox, and Varne was face to face with the brothers.

- You two have the guts to stand against me?" asked Fie to the brothers

- Yun responded\, What is your purpose for this approach?

- Fie answered you think that you are strong because your parents are war heroes? How ridiculous

- Hahaha how stupid are you Fie!? Do you think that you are someone because your father is the family lord of Hi\, I am not afraid of you\, you firefly said Yan

- HOW DARE YOU YAN? You shall apologize on your knees and beg not to be harmed or humiliated said Ox

Before Yan said anything brother Yun an idea, that Yan is going to provoke them and make them attack. Yan agreed on this idea and responded

- I´m not going to kneel and beg because you are weak and have little status\, Yan answered

By only have said that Ox and Varne attacked the brothers but they did not know that the brothers would do the tiger tail sweep on them. Hi Ox and Hi Varne fell hard on the ground and got a punch in the face. the punch was so hard for them that they stayed down and let the brothers go on Hi Fie.

the next fight was about to begin, they watched one another to prepare to fight. Yun and Yan waited on Fie to strike to teach him that they are not weak but strong.

Fie charges towards the brothers but the martial art teacher crashed on in and made the ground explode which made Fie fly backward while the brothers jumped back to get distends from May Gun.

- that's enough! you five to the principal's office to await punishment for what you have done said May Gun

- why do I and Yan have to go to the office? asked Yun

- although they wanted to pick a fight\, you to provoked them even more and created a scene here and you five broke the rules and fought without approval and not in the duel arena\, you are only allowed to fight there with the approval of the school's student safety representative said May Gun

- I understand thank you\, Sensei Gun said Yun

the brothers went to the office of the principal and awaited punishment while the three Hi boys walked a bit behind to plan their revenge against the Kumo brothers.

Yan gently knocked on the door of the principal's office and asked if he could open the door.

- yes you can open the door and come in said principal Dan Chan

When the five boys entered the office, it looked nothing in particular except that he had a window facing the courtyard and probably saw what had happened. His office table was brown and had drawers, he sat on a comfortable black office chair. There were shelves on the walls and there was a large pile of paper on the desk. There were two guest chairs for longer meetings but the boys thought they would be in a short one so they stud up. The atmosphere in the room at first was stiff and very uncomfortable for Yan as he was afraid to be kicked out of the academy after being impressed and intrigued by Sensei May Gun.

- I have seen what happened and heard from Sensei May Gun what has happened\, this is not "okay" behavior to have her at our academy. Now and forward you know how and where to fight at our academy the only thing you have to decide is when to fight\, you five are not to be kicked out of the academy but you are going to receive a punishment\, the Hi members are going to sensei May Gun for discipline training\, .... you can go now said\, Dan Chan

- we wonder just what will the Kumo brothers receive for a punishment asked Hi Fie with a smile in hope of the punishment are going to be more severe.

- Hi Fie it has nothing to do with you so just get going already before you are getting more severe punishment said the principal

Hi Fie, Hi ox and Hi Varne ran to Sensei May Gun to not get more severe punishment from Dan Chan.

- Now that they are gone I have a question to you two said the principal

- please tell us your question principal Chan said Yan formally

- My question to you two is\, how did you learn "the tiger tail sweep"?

The boy told the principal that their father has taught them and the boys said that they like the tiger-style of combat.

- you have said that you like the tiger style but I recommend you to go to your last lesson of the day and have an insight into what kung fu animal style suits you\, but your punishment is to find the right kung fu animal style and find a sensei that can teach you\, if you have not completed this punishment within 48 hours you will be thrown out of my academy\, any questions? said the principal

the brothers did not have a question it was cristal clear what they were supposed to do. The brothers exited the office to go to their last lesson of the day witch was with May Gun at martial arts lesson.

Sensei May Gun started the lesson as if nothing had happened, he began talking about the six basic animal kung fu styles and they are the Dragon, the Tiger, the Crane, the Snake, the Monkey, and the Mantis. He began explaining the difference between the styles. The difference in common was the footwork, how the fingers were placed and the emotion the person had when fighting or training the style. He said that he uses the dragon style for combat.

The brothers both like the dragon style but they felt that one animal style was not enough. Yan liked the idé of the combo between the dragon and the tiger styles but Yun didn´t like that combo he thought that the combo between the dragon and the snake suited him better. the brothers were happy with there choice, now they had to find teachers that the brothers can learn from. Yan thought of Fathers Tiger style and May Guns Dragon style. Yun thought of Sensei May Guns' sister May Teomari that uses the dragon style and sensei Ying Kun that he had heard was an ex-assassin that used snake style.

ding, ding, ding

End of School Day

on the way back from school Yan, Yun and Leo walked to the market to have a look, nothing in particular just to have a peek of what the market had to offer.

the sky began to set, the color of the sky was red and orange, it was lovely to look upon. Between the market and Kumo family sect was an ambush establish of the Hi Fie, Hi Ox, and Hi Varne. The three Kumo members tried to walk past them but they were held by older Hi members. Yan tried to walk past but they did not let them.

- Yan\, Leo? whispered Yun

- yea? they answered

- prepare to fight said Yun

Leo and Yan nodded and stood in a three defensive battle formation against the six members of the Hi family. The Hi members surrounded the brothers and Leo. Leo wasn´t confident in his combat ability; he was started to tremble.

- is in not a beautiful evening to get our revenge? asked Fie with a hostility of a smile

They didn´t answer the question, this made Fie aggry and lost his patience.

- Get them and make sure they can't fight back when they are kissing my shoe and beg for forgiveness said Fie

It wasn´t much of a fight it was more of a beat down, the Kumo members didn´t have a chance of victory in this fight. Leo fought against Varne while Yun fought against Ox and one of the older students but Yan fought on two of the older students. Leo was beaten down the first of the three. But Varne did not stop he just continued.

The fight has ended and they lost, the three Kumo members were on their knees in front of Hi Fie and they all looked down to not see his happy face. They had no strength left in their bodies and were in tremendous pain and now they were to kiss Fies shoe and beg for forgiveness.

- hehe\, now look at yourself what a humiliation\, haha Leo you are a disgrace of your family and sect\, you shall begin said Fie with a demanding voice.

Broken as Leo was he did what was asked and kissed Fie shoe and begged for forgiveness. Fie laughed and answered that he was forgiven and kicked Leo in the face hard enough to make him fly backward.

- now your turn "twins of the Kumos" said Fie

Yan gathered all the strength he could get hold of and slowly got up. Fie and the others were stunned and let Yan speak.

- you can brake every bone in my body but you will never break my spirit said\, Yan

- you\, you\, you little arrogant piece of shit! screamed Fie at Yan

Fie kick Yan very hard in the stomach that made Yan fall two feet back.

Fie gave up and went home before someone noticed.

half an hour later Yun got up with Leo and prepared to go home with Yan. Yun got Yan lying on his shoulders and walked home with him and Leo. Yan apologized for having Yun carry him home but he did not mind. Lacon and Attika waited at the entrance of their sect gate full of excitement to listen to their sons' first school day. When they met at the gate the parents got worried about seeing the damage they have gone through. The brothers didn´t have the energy to tell what had happened and went straight to bed.

I´m not going to let this happen ever again, you are doomed Hi Fie YOU ARE DOOMED, said the brothers in their head.
