I stare out the window as I see the forest. It is a breathtaking sight, so quiet and beautiful. The raindrops fall perfectly in the windows, as they should be there to gather after they fall. I have always found it peaceful, the way they always seem to gather. I can see the driver looking at me in the rearview mirror of the car. I smile as we pass the Beacon Hills town sign. I have not been here in a while. I wonder if anyone remembers me.
I watch as we pass the Hales' house. "Pull over," I say, looking at the house. I get out of the car and tell the cab driver I'll be back. He just nods at me.
As I walk up to the Hales' house, I see that it's completely destroyed, like it burned down and it's just this abandoned house. I look around as the morning breeze from the woods makes me shiver. I walk through the house and watch it closely. I have the feeling that someone is looking over my shoulder. No one can live there, certainly not the Hales. I am walking back into the cabin when I hear the crack of a piece of broken wood.
I look back as soon as I hear the sound. I do not see anyone, so I just keep walking towards the cab. When I get there, I take one last look at the Hale house before telling the driver to keep going.
I finally reached the house where my family lived before we moved away. I pay for the cab before it leaves. I look at the house because I feel so many emotions, memories coming back as if they were buried deep in my mind. The house looks new, my family made sure someone took care of it. I still do not understand why they did not sell it after we left. I notice that it has been renovated. The house was gray before it was painted white, the entrance is adorned with beautiful roses and nicely decorated. The air is as clear as ever, and there is this wonderful new aura. I walk in my blue dress slowly slipping back in the morning breeze. I smile as I walk a little way into the entrance. Finally, I reach the door, my hand reaches out for the doorknob and the door opens.
I guess someone forgot to close the door, I go inside. I look at the white-painted walls as I walk through the living room, looking at each piece of furniture. There are these three big black sofas, an ensemble with a gray cushion. There's also a gray fluffy blanket hanging over the couch. Between the sofas is a table, in front of which is the television. I get the remote control while turning on the TV. The TV is still working, I walk through the living room and see the kitchen. I almost forgot how beautiful it is. There's this big table that looks like it's attached to the floor. With four black chairs that almost look like the ones in a bar. I smile at the sight.
I walk up the stairs as my fingers go through the walls. I walk into my room and it is still the same. It has dark walls and a bed twice as big. I giggle and jump into my bed like a little kid, God I missed this. My bed, this house, the garden and this town.
As I lie there, I sigh and think of the Hales' house. The Hales were like family to us, I do not know why, but after we moved we lost touch. How I miss those days. When Derek and I were enemies, he always thought he was better than me, it was so annoying. He loved to tease me. At the time he was twelve and I was six, I know the age difference was huge, but I was very smart for a six-year-old. Oh, his sister Cora was my best friend, we shared everything. We even dressed alike because we thought we looked like sisters. She was a year older than me. But she was really a Hale. She was just as ambitious as her family and always tried to be better. I really loved her for that.
I wonder what happened to them after we moved away. My family got on a plane and flew as far away from here as possible. Somehow we ended up in London. I did not even get to say goodbye. We just took off, and it was like the Hales just disappeared. I thought we would at least visit them, or maybe they would come to visit us. But I never asked, because after we moved away, it was taboo to even talk about the Hales. But now I am here in Beacon Hills, the town where it all started.
My parents would never let me return here. But they are not here to say anything now, so it would not matter. I lie there and slowly drift off to sleep. After two hours of sleep, I wake up, go downstairs, take a cup from the kitchen and fill it with water, which I drink quickly. I did not even realize how thirsty I was. I sigh and run my hand through my hair as I make myself a cup of coffee. I pour the coffee into my cup. This house has so many rooms that I can not even imagine how to decorate them. I thought of an art room with different art stuff, clay, painting, brushes. And a library. Well, I will not have to buy many books or shelves because there are already a bunch of shelves in this house with old books that I have not been there in a long time. I walk around the house, still with my cup of coffee in hand, and head to the library. I smile as I enter the room and the smell of books fills the room.
I smile cheerfully as I place my cup on the wooden table. As I walk to one shelf and the next, my hand slowly glides through the spines of books. I walk looking for a book that interests me until I see a book. The name of the book was Beacon hills creatures and myths. I raise my eyebrow slightly as I take the book off the shelf. I look at it and walk over to the sofa that is in front of the table. I sit down and open the first page of the book.
It's strange, why does not it have an author?
The pages I see have the words "Werewolf" written on them and after every mythical creature. there was a name. I see the name “Hales” but I just ignore it. I close the book and put it back in its place.
As I sit there, I drink my coffee before it gets too cold to drink. Then I go back to the kitchen.
I get up from my seat as I walk out and turn on the light. I walk over to the kitchen. I rinse my cup and go back to sleep.
I woke up the next morning after hearing the alarm clock. I groaned as I reached for my phone to close it. I get up and walk down the stairs. I open my bag and take out my clothes. Once I am done, I go downstairs to make breakfast. Then I sit there, enjoying the smell of the coffee and waiting for my phone to ring. I smile when I realize it's Spencer. He's been texting me.
Spence: hey.
me: hey Spence
Spence: did you make it to beacon hills.
me: yeah, safe and sound.
Spence: did you meet anyone when you got there?
Me: Not really, but I saw the Hales' house.
Spence: Really? Did you meet anyone?
Me: No, the whole house had burned down and there was hardly anything left of the house.
Spence: It does not look good, I have to go now, I have an exam now.
me: Good luck.
I smile at the screen. I exhale as I go and wash my dishes. I put them in the dishwasher. I smile to myself. Okay, now I need to write down what I have to do before school starts.
TO DO:
"Grocery shopping"
"buy stuff for my art room"
"order some new books
"𝘉𝘶𝘺 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴"
"𝘉𝘶𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘧𝘧 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘺 𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢" (𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦)
"𝘖𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴"
"𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘦"
I go to my refrigerator and attach a magnet to my to-do list. I look at the clock, it's almost 11 am. I go back to my room and change. I put on sweatpants and a hoodie. As I walk out of the house, I put on my shoes. It's a good thing my jeep is there. I thought it would take them longer to get it here, but I guess not. I get in my jeep, it's black.
after 15 min
I go to the store and buy the things I need, bread, milk, flour, sugar, pads, ketchup, just everything I need. I go and pick up my phone to check if I have everything I need. Without looking up, I turn.
I run into someone
Right into them.
I bump my head against his chest as he drops everything he had in his hands.
"Dude, watch where you are going" I say annoyed.
I look up and see this tall guy, he has no hair, it looks like it's growing back.
"Dude?" he says sarcastically.
"Are not you going to pick up your stuff?" I say and roll my eyes.
"rude much" He says, giving me back the same attitude.
I grin as I bend down to help him with his things.
"Stupid much" I say, handing him back some of his things. He smirks, obviously amused by the conversation.
"Thanks" he says with a small nod.
"This is probably a good time to tell you that you are in my way, so move it." I say.
He makes a hand gesture and gestures me to walk in my direction. I look at him and we make eye contact, his eyes were brown. As I walk my way.
I made it to the checkout. I see this long line of people. I stop and after a while, I feel someone behind me in the line. I do not know why, but I feel that the person is very close to me, but I can not blame them because everyone in line is close together. I pay for my things as I stand up to put my groceries in my bag. I look up as my gaze meets his. It's him again, the guy I bumped into. He looks at me from time to time as he pays for his stuff while I put my things in my bag. I walk out and put my stuff in the back of my jeep. I see him go out and walk towards another jeep, it is blue and looks a little old.
I get in my jeep and drive home.
after 15 min
I come home and bring my things into the house. I open the door, put my groceries down, and go into the kitchen where I put all my groceries in their place. I sigh and look at the clock, it's almost 1 pm. I stretch out. I walk towards the art room. I had some art supplies with me from my old home. I find the bag with my art stuff. I put my things down in the room. I grab a chair and take off my shirt. I go into my room and put on a pair of shorts and this loose gray shirt. I sit down, get out my paints and put my canvas on the board. I sit down, put on some music, and start painting.
I woke up the next day. I realize that I've been asleep for almost two days. When I wake up it's raining, not even rain. It is a crazy thunderstorm. I turn as I find my phone, still laying down. I reach for it. I see that I've gotten 12 missed calls from Reid. My heart skips a beat from the fear that something terrible has happened. I sit on my bed, and I check the time. 11 am I sigh as I get out of bed and put on some comfy clothes.
I call him, it rings three times before going straight to voicemail.
Hey, Spencer, I didn't know you called me, I've been asleep all this time. Let me know if you are okay…
I hung up after setting up my voicemail. I sighed getting up from my bed. Changing my clothes, eating breakfast. I get the urge to eat something sweet. I walk around looking through all the cabinets and my fridge. I can't find anything, that's weird. I was sure that I bought some last time I went to the store. I changed into a hoodie and sweatpants. It's still pouring and thundering so I wait for a while. When it stops I run into my car, and I start it. I drive my way to the store. Once I made it in I ran into the store, getting all wet.
I get into the store. And goodness there was barely anyone in there. I walk as I get some candy, chips, and other sweets I want. I see this girl, brown hair, and brown eyes. She is literally so pretty. I got the urge to go and talk to her, she was alone. I go and pay for my stuff, I look at her and I can see that she already was looking at me from where she was standing. She smiled at me and she had such a pretty smile, her dimples were the biggest I'd ever seen and she looked like a dream. I pay for my stuff. I stand outside, seeing it's still pouring. I don't have to rush home so I stand there for a while. The girl I saw came out and she looked at me.
"hey." I managed to say.
"hi" she said softly.
"the weather huh?" I say softly
"yeah, I kinda like it."
"same, so do you want a ride home, my car is parked over there." I say softly
"How can I be sure you aren't a killer?" She says
" If I were one, which by the way I'm not, I wouldn't be wearing these clothes, and I wouldn't ask a girl as gorgeous as you." I say smiling
"You think I'm gorgeous, '' she says, raising her eyebrow.
" oh my god, I said that out loud didn't I, I probably scared you away now" I say as my hand goes through my hair.
"You can't scare me away that easily, but I could use the ride tho." she says, giving me one of her dimpled, gorgeous smiles.
"sure, you wouldn't mind if we share my jacket on our way there."
"I wouldn't" she says smiling.
I put my jacket over our heads as we ran to my car. I unlock it as I let her get in first as I walk to the other side, and get in the driver's seat. Wow, that was more fun than I thought.
"Where do you live?" I ask.
"oh, I live close to the Beacon Hills school. I'm new here." she says
"me too, I moved here like a week ago"
"So you've never been to Beacon Hills before? You seem familiar with the place. she says
I've lived here before, I did not make many friends tho, I live close here. in the house that you saw on your way into Beacon hills.
you mean the mansion-looking house. She says as she tugs her hair behind her ear.
yup, that would be where I live.
Wow, so you live with your parents.
no, umm they both died last year, so I decided to start fresh here.
oh, I'm sorry to hear that.
don't worry, by the way, is there a chance that you will be going to beacon hills school.
yeah, school starts next week
i'll also go there, it will be good to at least have one friend.
I'm your friend? she asks, sounding excited.
I mean if you want to of course.
yes, id loves to.
I chuckled as we finally got to where she lived.
well, we´re here
yup, and it's still raining. she says unbuckling her seat belt ´.
"Wait, I think I have an umbrella in the back seat." I say as I reach into the back seat of my car and take out an umbrella. I handed it to her.
Thanks,*she says as she gets out of my car.
"still don't know your name."I say as I take my window down.
"right, she chuckles. I'm Allison… Allison Argent.""Nice to meet you, Allison. I'm Valnencia Black, you can call me Val" She smiles as I say bye to her. And drive away.
