CHAPTER 1
In Which Phileas Fogg and Passepart out
...Accept Each Other, The One as Master,...
......The Other As Servant......
Mr. Phileas Fogg lived, in 1872, at No.7 Saville Row, Burlington Gardens. He was One Of The most prominent members of the London Reform Club, though he never did anything to attract attention. He was mysterious; not much was known about him except that he was a polished man of the world.
...He certainly was not a manufacturer, neither...
was he a merchant or a farmer. His name was unfamiliar to the scientist and the learned societies, and he never was known to take part in deliberations of the Riyal Institution or the London Institution, The Artisan's Association or the Institution of arts and Sciences.
...He was nit a member of any of the numerous...
...Societies which was prevalent in London....
...Phileas Fogg was a member of the Reform and that was all....
...Was he rich? Undoubtedly. But no one knew how he had made his fortune and he would always be the last person to talk about it. Never lavish or stingy, he regularly gave to charities quietly, sometimes anonymously....
...It was likely that he was a well-traveled man because he seemed to know a lot of places in the world. But those who knew him said he never left London for many years now....
...Mr. Fogg was not known to have either wife or children. He lived alone in his house in Saville Row. He always had lunch and dinner at the club. He always ate alone, in the same room and at the same table....
...He always went home at midnight, going always straight to bed....
...His mansion in Saville Row, although not really luxurious, was very comfortable. He only had one servant but he required him to be almost superhumanly prompt and regular. He had dismissed his servant, James Forster, because he had brought him shaving water at eighty-four degrees Fahreinheit instead of eight-six....
...His new servant, a thirty-year-old Frenchman name Jean Passepartout, arrived at his house that morning....
Passepartout told him about his previous jobs-circus performer, a professor of gymnastics, and a fireman.
...Phileas Fogg got up after talking to his servant and went out of the house. He was followed by James Forster, and Passepartout was left alone in the house in Saville Row....

I let my soul fall into you
I never thought I'd fall right through
I fell for every word you said
You made me feel I needed you
And forced my heart to think it's true
But I found I'm powerless with you
Now I don't need your wings to fly
No, I don't need a hand to hold in mine this time
You held me down, but I broke free
I found the love inside of me
Now I don't need a hero to survive
'Cause I already saved my life
'Cause I already saved my life
I fell into your fantasy
But that's all our love will ever be
I lost hope in saving you and me
You think I'm lost, falling apart
But your lies just made a stronger heart
My life is just about to start
Now I don't need your wings to fly
No, I don't need a hand to hold in mine this time
You held me down, but I broke free
I found the love inside of me
Now I don't need a hero to survive
'Cause I already saved my life
Already saved my life
I already saved my life
Already saved my life
I already saved my life
Now I don't need your wings to fly
No, I don't need a hand to hold in mine this time
You held me down, but I broke free
I found the love inside of me
Now I don't need a hero to survive
'Cause I already saved my life
Already saved my life
I already saved my life
Already saved my life
I already saved my life
Now I don't need your wings to fly
...In Which passepartout is convinced that He has a last found his ideal...
Passepartout, in his short conversation with Mr.Fogg, was able to observe his new master. He seemed to be about forty years old with fine, handsome features and a tall, well-shaped figure.
...As for Passepartout, he had a pleasant face, his eyes...
were blue, his face plump and his body muscular. He was soft-mannered and helpful and honest.
...When he went to the room where he would be staying, he found it pleasing enough. Inside it was an electric clock, precisely similar with the one in Mr.Fogg's bedroom, both beating the same second at the same instant....
...Hung over the clock was a card bearing...
a programme of the daily routine of the house, like how Mr.Fogg rose in the morning at exactly eight and would leave the house at half-past eleven in the morning to go to the Reform Club.
...The card included all the details of service...
like the tea and toast at twenty-three minutes past eight, the shaving water at thirty-seven minutes past nine, and the hair combing at twenty minutes before ten.
...Mr.Fogg's wardrobe was amply supplied and in the best taste. Each pair of trousers, coat, vest and shoes bore a number, indicating the time of year and season which Mr.Fogg would wear them....
...Also, there was not a single weapon or arms...
in the house.
...Passepartout found his new servant's house were...
tranquil and peaceful. "What a domestic and regular gentleman. And that is just what i wanted," he said joyfully.

When the days are cold
And the cards all fold
And the saints we see
Are all made of gold
When your dreams all fail
And the ones we hail
Are the worst of all
And the blood's run stale
I wanna hide the truth
I wanna shelter you
But with the beast inside
There's nowhere we can hide
No matter what we breed
We still are made of greed
This is my kingdom come
This is my kingdom come
When you feel my heat
Look into my eyes
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide
Don't get too close
It's dark inside
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide
At the curtain's call
It's the last of all
When the lights fade out
All the sinners crawl
So they dug your grave
And the masquerade
Will come calling out
At the mess you've made
Don't wanna let you down
But I am hell-bound
Though this is all for you
Don't wanna hide the truth
No matter what we breed
We still are made of greed
This is my kingdom come
This is my kingdom come
When you feel my heat
Look into my eyes
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide
Don't get too close
It's dark inside
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide
They say it's what you make
I say it's up to fate
It's woven in my soul
I need to let you go
Your eyes, they shine so bright
I wanna save that light
I can't escape this now
Unless you show me how
When you feel my heat
Look into my eyes
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide
Don't get too close
It's dark inside
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide

...Chapter 3...
...In which a conversation takes place...
...Which seems like to cost...
...Phileas fogg dear...
While having his dinner at the reform club that night, Phileas Fogg was joined by the other members of the club: Andrew Stuart, an engineer; John Sullivan and Samuel Fallentin, bankers; Thomas Flanagan, a brewer; and Gauthier Ralph, one of the directors of the bank of England.
...They started talking about The ...
robbery that happened in the bank of England wherein the robber was able to take a package of bank notes worth fifty-five thousand pounds.
...Stuart said the robber wasn't likely to...
be arrested, that the world was big enough to let the robber avoid arrest.
..."The world was one big", said ...
Phileas Fogg.
..."What do you mean by' once'? Has...
the world grown smaller?" asked Stuart.
..."Certainly", said Ralph. "I agree with Mr.Fogg. The world has grown smaller since man can now go around it ten times quicker than a hundred years ago."...
..."In eighty days," claimed Mr.Fogg....
"A man can go around the world."
"that's true, gentlemen," agreed John Sullivan.
..."Yes, in eighty days !" exclaimed Stuart....
"But that doesn't take into account bad weather, contrary winds, shipwrecks, railway accidents, and so on."
..."All included," returned Mr.Fogg...
"Theoretically, eighty days is correct,
but in practice-"
..."It is also correct in practice, Mr.Stuart," said Mr.Fogg....
"Then prove it," challenged Mr.
Stuart. "I'll bet you can't do it."
..."All right," said Mr.Fogg. " I have...
a deposit of twenty thousand in the bank
which i willingly risk."
..."Twenty thousand pounds!" cried...
Mr.Sullivan. " Twenty thousand pounds which you would lose by a single unforeseen delay."
..."The unforeseen does not exist,"...
replied Mr.Fogg calmly. " I will bet twenty thousand pounds against anyone who will think that i can't go around the world in eighty days or less, in nineteen hundred and twenty hours or a hundred and fifteen thousand two hundred minutes. Do you
accept?"
..."We accept," replied Mr.Stuart,...
Fallentin, Sullivan, Flanagan, and Ralph
after consulting each other.
...Phileas Fogg planned to start his...
...journey that evening, Wednesday, the...
second of October and be back, in that very room of the Reform Club on Saturday,
...The twenty-first of December at a quarter...
before nine o'clock in the evening. "Or else, my twenty thousand pounds, which is half of my fortune, will be transferred to you."
