My name is Kwrator, and i did something terrible...i don't why but i grabbed a little bird from the neck and with a little knife i opened his torso, i'm sorry!...i really don't know what happened to me...I grabbed the corpse of the chick, and started crying, what was i going to tell to his mother?... My father heared me crying and comed to see what happend, when he arrived he looked at me proud for doing my first hunt, he looked the little chick from my hands and say:

"If you found a little chick then there as to be a nest around here, climb that tree and i'll climb this one."

I did what father said. Just what is my luck?? I founded the birds nest, there were 3 more chicks, ughh, what should i do?, should i tell father that i found the chicks nest?...an idea comed to my head, i grabbed a little chick and putted him into my little bag, i didn't know if i did that to make myself better or for actually help him.

"Father! I found it!"

I screamed to my father, i looked back at the chicks, they were crying, the chick i had on my bag started to struggle and cry, he wanted to be with his brothers, my father was already close, if he found out that i had a chick on my bag...i roll up my fingers, raised my hand and hitted the little pocket bag.

"Alright Kwrator! come down here, am gonna climb the tree!"

I come down to the tree and my father started climbing, i heared a little bumps, i couldn't hear the cries of the chicks anymore. My father comed down from the tree, and showed me a bag, obviously inside the bag were the chicks, he opened the bag and put it in front of my eyes, he raised his hand close to my torso.

"Give it to me."

He said with a smile.

"Gi-give you what?"

"The chick you killed, we are going to put him in the bag, so mommy can do a yummy soup."

"Oh..."

I gived him the chick with the open torso, my father looked at me again, he pet my hair and started walking. Our home was very little compared to the houses that were in the Capital... We entered to the house, i expected to see mother inside but it was empty, i looked at my father, his face maked an expression of sadness, he looked at me, and pretended to be happy...we haven't see mother for a while already, everytime i ask father why she haven't come back, he just ignore me.

Last time i saw her she told me that she was going to the market to buy some lettuce for the soup, that was 2 weeks ago.

Father walked to the kitchen.

"Don't worry Kwrator, mommy should be back in a couple of days, we just have to wait, actually why don't you go check the market?"

"Okay."

I walked to the door and leaved father alone, i heared a scream of anger coming from the house and insults going to my mother, i keeped walking.

I arrived to the marked, the past day rained so the ground was covered with mud. There are a lot of persons, so is hard to see if mother is buying in one. I heared someone say my name, i looked at my right, it was Kouki, a blacksmith.

"Hi there little Kwrator, how are you doing?"

"Very well sir."

"I havea question for you."

"What it is sir."

"I haven't see your mother for a long time, is she sick? it's been raining a lot lately."

"No, i haven't see my mother for 2 weeks, that's why am here, maybe she could be buying."

I looked a the face of of Kouki, his expression was a bit sad, like if he knew something.

"What's wrong?"

"Little Kwrator, am gonna be honest...your mother probably leaved to the Capital or to the Temple, or in the worst of the cases some bandits kidnapped her."

I looked to the ground, something inside me started screaming, i feeled kind inferior, i should have came with her.

"Sir, what is the Temple?"

"Is a place were Priests and believers live."

"Then it has to be a good place, right?"

"Of course little Kwrator, sorry to say this, but if your mother leaved you father, let's hope she's on that place."

The Temple has to be a good place...but if it really was a good place, why didn't she take me with her? I was a bit mad but at some point i understood her, i was just going to be a charge for her, on the way to the Temple and leaving the house. I looked back to Kouki.

"Thanks sir, at least i can imagine that she's in a better place now, goodbye."

"Goodbye little Kwrator..."

I turned around to my way back home, i wasn't gonna say nothing to father because he probably already knew that mother leaved to one of those places.

I comed back at home, father was waiting for me, sitted on the table, he looked at me with a face of hope, but my expression said it everything, it confirmed what he was hoping not to be true, he sighed and looked to the window that was behind me.

"Alright Kwrator, come take at sit."

I walked to the seat, and offered my hands to father to pray, he looked at me for a moment before accepting my petition.

We ended eating, father told me to go to the sediments and fill a bucket with water, i answered with a nod.

When i was already there i saw mother, was it really her? i got closer, it was defenetly her, i didn't nothing, i just stared at her, she looked back at me, she smiled and started to cry, she hugged me and i hugged her back. She wasn't at the Temple nor the Capital, it probably was the third option Kouki said.

I fulled the buck with water, grabbed mother hand and walked back at home.

I put the bucket in a corner of the house, i said mother to wait on the table, she probably was tired, i runned to my father's room, i wanted to surprise him. I opened the door and said him to go to the kitchen that mother was there but he just denied.

"Father, please don't be rude, you wanted me to go search for her at the market just a couple of hours ago!"

"..."

Mother heared me talking, since father didn't wanted to go to the kitchen she comed to his room. Father looked at her and smiled, he runned to her...but i wish he actually gived mother a hug...

Father stabbed mother with a knife.

Mother looked at his eyes, and maked a face of sadness, asking him with the face "Why?".

Father realesed mother from his arms, he turned around...And started watching me directly to my eyes.

"Hey Kwrator, why don't we play a little game?"

I looked at my mother corpse...i wanted to run but if i do, father was going to kill me.

"What kind of game?"

I asked.

"If someone ask about mommy you don't have to say a word, otherwise you lose."

"Okay..."

Father told me to go to sleep more earlier than habitual. From my window i could see him dragging the corpse of mother into a hole. I stayed on silence while i keeped staring at him.

Next morning everything seemed to be normal, father did breakfast and maked like

anything that happen yesterday actually never happen. In all the morning i didn't say a

word, i feared that i could say something from yesterday...if he killed mother like nothing

he could perfectly kill me too.

"Kwrator we runned out of carrots, could you please go to the market?"

I answered him with a nod, father gived me a smile.

When i opened the door a woman and a man were waiting, they were dressed with

white clothes, behind them were white hourses too...

"Kwrator?"

"Yes-"

Before i could end answering to the man, my father grabbed me from the shoulders and

answered for me.

"Yes, misters, what can i do for you?"

"Please sir Mikeneel, could we have a talk with you?

"Of course! Please misters could you move aside my son was just about to leave to the mar-

"If you don't mind, sir, could Kwrator stay?"

Father stared at me, like complaining to himself for not asked me before.

"Yeah, why not...?"

Father opened more the door so the priests could enter, the man sitted and the woman

comed to me.

"Hey little Kwrator, could you show me your room so we can talk there?"

I noded her and walked to my room, but i actually wanted to stay since i wanted to hear

what that man was going to tell to my father.

"Oh! so this is your room, it looks a lot like mine!"

The woman stared at me with a smile.

"My name is Svetlyy, now since we know each other."

We don't.

"You may be wondering why some priests comed to your house out of nowhere, right?"

I do.

"Well, since a friend of yours was worried for your mother, he comed to the Temple for

help, and well, here we are! Well, now, i have a question for you."

Please don't...

"Do you...know where is your mother? Do you think you father could have done something to her?"

"I..can't lose..."

"What did you say, Kwrator?"

Svetlyy got more closer to me, i got scared, i couldn't hold it anymore.

"Sh-she's outside..."

"Outside? Could you please be more specific, Kwrator."

"Father killed her! He buried her! She's buried in front of my window! I saw him!"

Tears comed out from my eyes, i screwed it, i condemned my own father!

"It's okay Kwrator, sometimes confess hurts, but you did the right thing."

I woked up in a bed a with withe bed sheets, I'm not at home. I looked at my left, there was a blond guy looking at me, he tried to hide but i can perfectly see him.

"Uh-uhm...good morning!"

"Morning."

"M-my name is Senwşi, what is yours?"

"My name is Kwrator."

"Then, morning Kwrator! Father Opiekun said that you had to go to his office."

"Alright...could you take me there?"

"Yes! It'll be a pleasure, you know Kwrator i like you hair it's so white like your skin!"

"Thank you..."

Senwşi talked a lot before leaving to that person room, and talked even a lot more on

our way there.

"You better told me what Father Opiekun told you!"

He leaved waving me, i returned the wave...what happened to me? I normally don't

talk this much with strangers...

I opened the door and saw a man with white dress, he turned around and smiled, it was

the same man that was in the house.

"Hello there Kwrator, did you sleep properly? Svetlyy said that you fainted, are you

feeling well? Oh sorry! You just woke up, yet here i am, fulling you with questions, my

apologies. Oh, and you can call me Father Opiekun, alright?"

I noded him.

"Good, now you may be wondering where you are, right?"

I noded him again.

"Well, you are at the Temple, here you can push your limits, it may really benefit you on the future. Oops, i skiped a part, well let's do it short okay? You are going to stay here until you grow up, or you can stay here, it's your choice."

Father Opiekuin gived me another smile.

So this is my new home?...

"Come on Kwrator, don't be upset. Since you sleep alone back at your home, i'll let you choice, if you can have a solitary room, or you can stay with Senwşi."

"I want to be alone..."

"Alright! Sometimes being alone is a good thing. Okay, so now, please follow me, i'll walk you to your new room."

Father Opiekun started walking, i followed him, and i remembered something.

"Father Opiekun, where is my father?"

Father Opiekun stopped walking and turned around.

"Look Kwrator, your father did something terrible that all the gods forbid. And he had to

pay for what he did to your mother, you should be thankfully that we arrived on time,

otherwise you could have ended like your mother."

Father Opiekuin petted my hair and keeped walking, i stayed on silence.

When we arrived to my new room, Father Opiekun whispered me something:

"If you need anything, you can ask me and if i'm not at the temple you can ask for Svetlyy, and she'll get it to you."

"Anything?"

"Yes, anything."

9 Years later. Kwrator is 22 years old now.

"I heard the Temple was adquiring a new principal engineer in 3 days!"

"Wow! For real??"

"Yeah! Maybe you can participate on it!"

"What?? i can't think of a project that can actually please the goddesses..."

I looked at those people talking and tried to ask for more information, but...i winned a

bad title because of my red eyes and my personality.

"Hey there!"

I raised the head and saw Senwşi, he comed to my seat.

"Morning!"

"Morning."

"Are you sleeping properly? Your eyebags looks more black."

"I've been having normal sleep hou-"

"Pfftt! You expect me to believe that? Your face betrays you..."

Senwşi keeped talking, i didn't pay him to much attention do. I feeled a hand on my shoulder, it was Sister Svetlyy.

"Morning Kwrator, can you come with me for a moment?"

I looked back at Senwşi, asking for permission, he answered with a nod.

I've been getting away of Senwşi with the past of the years, if i be honest i don't even consider him a friend.

"It was quite hard to get the things you asked me this time. By the way, the Temple is

already announcing that they are searching for principal engineers."

Svetlyy stared at my face.

"Did you get any sleep...or you worked on your project all the night?"

"I worked all the night..."

"Aghh, i know you want to be selected to be a principal engineer, but you have to take

care of your health!"

"I'm gonna start caring about myself when i become one..."

"Lies!! You're going to keep overworking and your hair will fall or became even

more white!"

I didn't say nothing, i just keeped looking at the stuff i asked for. Sevtlyy

didn't replaid me, instead, she started to whisper things for herself.

The night arrived and i keeped working on this project...this project it's my life, i've been working on it since i ingressed the Temple. It started like a hobby, but Sister Svetlyy mentioned something about becoming a principal engineer, that gained my attention so i keeped annoying her to tell me more.

I've been waiting for a long time for this...i even stopped caring about my apareance my hair becamed long, but surprisingly i just had a morning beard, but of course i have to cut my hair for the ceremony, so i grabbed a knife and started cutting, i looked at the mirror and i accidenttaly cutted more places than others...uhh it didn't look so bad for me...

Someone knocked to my door.

"Yeah?"

"Hey Kwrator can i come in?!"

Why he always screams at me?

Senwşi opened the door with a face of concern.

"And? What did Sister Svetlyy call you for?"

"She just wanted to ask me a few things."

"A few things?"

Senwşi stared at me.

"Alright don't believe, but i can't think of anything else-"

"I was joking! I already know that Sister Svetlyy is in love with Brother Prkisar."

I always end up a little annoyed while talking with Senwşi, but just like he said before...

my face betrays me.

"Uh? Wait are you really dating her? She's like 15 years more old than you, but of course

it's okay with me!"

"Senwşi, could you leave now, i'm busy, you see."

"But...you're always working, why don't you give yourself a break...? Since you arrived

here i could barely see you because you were working...i didn't even said a word when i

saw you with that girl..."

reputation around the others persons is already bad, i know i mess up with them, but i never gived up with the priests.

I got up from my seat and grabbed him from the vest and smashed him into the wall, it

was a wood wall so it maked a loud sound, hope no one heared...

"How did you- No what where you doing there?!"

From all the years Senwşi has talked to me i never yelled at him, he got scared, i could

hear his heart, and his hands are shaking, i didn't even noticed he was struggling. I dropped

his neck but i grabbed him from the shoulders and smashed him against the wall.

"So-sorry i didn't mean to take that theme out! Ple-please let me go! I won't say a word

about this either!"

I pulled him to the ground, he answered with a hit on my stomach, that didn't even cutted my breathe for a second, is he that weak...? Good, now i can use this. I grabbed him from the vest again.

"You better don't say a word of this. Understood?"

"Ye-yes i pr-promise i won't say nothi-"

-Knock Knock-

"Son Kwrator is everything okay inside?"

It was Father Opiekuin.

I putted my hand into Senwşi mouth.

"Yes Father, everything's okay, i'm just a bit sleepy so i bumped into the wall..."

"I see, next time be more careful with the walls then."

I heared a little laugh coming from outside, it's obvius Father Opiekuin know

what kind of thing is happening.

I looked back at Senwşi face he was more scared, i heared footsteps walking away so i

letted go his mouth.

"You better don't say a word."

"O-of course, ple-please let me go."

I released him from the vest now, as soon as i did that he runned away.

Fuck, fuck! I entered into a rage because of that...because of what he said, that was only

one time and i never did that again.

"Are you sure?"

"Are you sure it really was one time?"

"Was it because he just mencioned "that girl?"
