My Only Regret
Today was the day of the execution of the dethroned empress Meredith Evenrose
The empire’s capital that was always quiet was now bustling.

She unconsciously touched her neck again to make sure that it's still attached to her body. How come she's still alive. It was definitely not a dream.
Nevertheless, she had to make sure that she's not dreaming so she pinched her cheek real hard.
She felt the pain with the harsh sound of friction. She murmured as she caressed her bruised cheek.

How can this be? She was alive. But what in the world.. how?
She was surprised when the door to her room was suddenly opened.

'Veron!'
She can't believe it. The voice who called out her name was her sisters.

'Edith..'
