◇The beginning◇
A thousand years ago the two founders of the Caspian empire, Selest and Jonathan who possessed the powers of lightening and water, were spouses to each other.
One day they fell into a fight over the decision of having a child causing Selest's power to escape her.
To protect himself, Jonathan released his water ability, causing the two powers to have a huge clash.
It caused a huge blast of white light resulting in the formation of Caspian empire
As Caspian signifies white and it is considered a sign of peace. Hence named, Caspian empire.
Levels of Power holders in the Caspian Empire
It's not common for everybody to hold magical powers. Powers are generally inherited or in - born. If one tries to transfer it through black magic, it can lead to death if not done appropriately.
When the Empire through White light was formed, it's effect landed on different patches of land, a very little amount survived causing only a few families to have it.

Late King Victor's lack of trust in people, and fear of betrayal caused only a few families to be trusted by the Royal Family.
While his son Ace Victor, next king of the Caspian empire, is doing his best to expand the empire's foreign and civil relations which were neglected by his Late father, causing him to rarely be present in the kingdom, and leaving it's rule in the hands of his mother. The Royal Empress.

Obsidians being one of the most loyal family, has always got the favor from the Royal Family for more than a century.
But with favor comes great responsibilities and duties that they had to fulfill in order to keep maintaining their reputation and to keep their bloodline alive. Duties that are to be hid in the dark.
Having the high favours from the King/ Queen, it often triggered other dukes and Marquises and caused them to attempt uncountable attempts of assassinations to banish their whole bloodline.
With a will to maintain and survive themselves, they caused their each generation to be suffered through great difficulties to make them excellent in every field.
Late Onyx Obsidian was one of the greatest air manipulaters in the history with Lv. 3
His wife Diana Obsidian and current Duchess belongs to a neighborhood kingdom with a Lv. 2 power of Fire manipulation.
They both have 2 Children.
First born being Alister Onyx Obsidian, holder and inheritor of both Lv. 3 air and fire manipulation.
Second born being Alister's little sister by 2 years, Lily Obsidian, Holder of Lv. 2 weather manipulation.
Onyx and Diana loved each other a lot before Alister was born, but one mistake of their's changed the whole life of his son.
Onyx Obsidian cheated on his wife Diana Obsidian with the countess of the neighborhood Kingdom without her knowledge that Onyx was married.
When she came to know that Onyx was married and that his wife Diana has already conceived Alister, she became furious.
She was a power holder of Lv. 2 dark magic, in hold of her anger, she cursed the to-be-born child of His and Diana's.
After the death of Onyx Obsidian, Alister took the position of Duke and took his father's name.
