The nurse that was in the room flinched, as Kimberly pulled doctor Han by his coat, tears streaming down her face.
He slowly removed her hands from his coat and left the room.
If he was honest with himself, he never grew attached to any patient. But Kimberly... She was young and fragile.
She had no one except her mother, and now she was losing her; Kimberly was losing the person she held dearest to her heart
Kimberly cried as she held her mother's hand, her mother was unconscious on the bed.
She looked as pale as a ghost, had tubes and medical devices all over her body and hadn't been awake for at least two weeks...

Mom I beg of you, I don't know how. Just please wake up...

I don't know how, but I'll be sure to make your dream come true. I promise, I'll do it in your honor...
When Kimberly was five, her father left them. No note, no message or anything of the sort was left behind.
Her mother was the one who brought the most income, so they had no financial problems. It was easy for her to set their lives back on track...
When Kimberly turned twelve, her mother started dating again and she found a good guy to help her take care of her daughter.
It took a while before Kimberly opened up to him. But after giving then a chance, she grew to like him
She grew to like him so much, that when he had to leave for a business trip she didn't want to let him go
She didn't feel like herself for the first few days of his trip, the only time she would feel happy was when he could call for a few minutes to check in on them.
When the trip was over, she could hardly sit still as she waited at the airport with her mother. She was even more thrilled when she heard that her mother's family was coming over for a vacation.
They stayed at the airport until late, still waiting for everyone. It wasn't until her mother went to question at the front desk, that she found out that their plane gad crashed.
Months went by and the team Kimberly's mother had hired couldn't find any survivors...
Kimberly couldn't accept it, she didn't want to. It wasn't until the crashed planed had been brought back to land, that she was made to accept reality...
As both Kimberly and her mother fell to depression's grasps, their little business started failing apart.
The love of her life was gone, and she couldn't wrap her head around it... She had to comfort Kimberly day in and day out as the girl closed herself off to the world
Both her mental and physical health started to worsen and old scars that she thought had healed, reopened.
It took a lot, but after a few years Kimberly was on her way to recovery... But she was still in the dark about her mother's condition. The only reason that made her try to hold on, was that she had a daughter to take care off
Every day, Kimberly would come home and tell her mother of how her day at school went
She wouldn't stop going on about how she was determined to be a idol in the future, or a soloist.
Her mother didn't have the same opportunities as she got, so she wanted to make her mother proud by fulfilling both of their biggest dream.
It wasn't until a day before her competition, before one of the biggest days of Kimberly's life that her mother had succumbed to her suffering...
That day, the hospital called her school, informing them that Kimberly needed to be rushed to the hospital to see her mother who was in a critical condition.
And ever since that day her mother never left the hospital, she'd slip into comas every now and again.
Kimberly would come in every day of the week without fail, some days she would skip school to take care of her mother; doing her homework whenever she found the time to do so.
As the months passed her mother was getting better, and she started to do some of her things on her own.
But she was still hospital-bound, everything seemed to be fine with her health; but the doctors didn't want to give her sickness the benefit of the doubt...
Not being able to leave the hospital was upsetting to Kimberly's mother, so when the nurse told her mother that she could walk within the hospital herbal garden, she was ecstatic.
But in two hours time she was back on the same hospital bed coughing and turning pale by the minute, a few days away from deaths doorstep...
A close friend
It felt like an eternity as she cried there, a small card in hand... Her mother had told her that this was her only hope, that she had to call the number of the card in case of emergencies... And this was one.
She held the card in her hand tightly, debating whether to call a complete stranger... It wasn't until someone placed their hand on her shoulder, that she was pulled out of her thoughts.
She flinched as she looked up

Kimberly sniffed as she stood up

How can I trust you ? How can I know that you're not some stranger trying to kidnap me ?

You can try to call the phone number on that card...
Kimberly called the number as she kept her eyes on the man before her... Within the second ring, the man's phone began to ring, and he picked it up, but hanged up once Kimberly saw that he was telling the truth.
Kim Kimberly
Did she tell you anything else ?
Bang-PD
Yes, but I think we should leave and talk in a much more appropriate place.
Bang-PD
You need some place to eat, rest and someone to look after you...
Kimberly nodded. It didn't take them long to reach the exit of the cemetery before they were on their way to Bang-PD's house...
After Kimberly took a warm bath and changed clothes, she came downstairs with the help of a female maid...
Bang-PD
Kimberly I wanted to talk to you about something very important, it regards to your life from now on...
Kimberly nodded as she carefully sat down on a couch.

Your mother told me how talented you are, and that your dream is to be an Idol.
Kim Kimberly
That is true...

I'm the manager of a company that works with dancers, models, trainees and idols, soloist and producers.

I would like to offer you a chance to make your dreams come true

I'm not offering it because I know I can, or because of what you're going through.

Then why are you offering me this opportunity? I don't even know who you are, much less how you knew my mother...

I'm your mother's best friend since high school, and as to the fact that you may not know me... Well I know you well enough...

I have watched you grow up, your mother having contacted me as soon as she saw how you loved to dance and knew what you wanted to become in the future...

She didn't want to me come into her life again out of fear that you would spiral back to the time you lost your father.

So as a precaution, she stayed in contact with me over the years for such a time as this...
Kimberly nodded, but the death of her mother still saddened her. She wanted to dance, but felt she needed time before she could move on...
Bang-PD noticed that, and completely understood...
Bang-PD
I understand if you still need time to adjust to everything that has happened, you won't need to answer me till the end of next week. Just remember that if you need anything, you can ask me.
Bang-PD
You may have lost your mother, but you've gained an uncle. It definitely doesn't feel the same, but just know you've got someone to listen if you need to talk...

As tear escaped her eyes, Bang-PD called her over and pulled her into a hug.

I'm here to take care of you now. It will all get better with time, trust me...
A month went by quicker than Kimberly expected.
She did her morning routine and got dressed in one of her new clothes she got from her uncle...
She grabbed the headphones she bought with the money she earned by working and played her favorite playlist
She went downstairs for breakfast. The maid asked her if she wanted anything special, but Kimberly only asked for a bowl of cinnamon oatmeal and some fruits.
After she was done, she was escorted to school.
As she got out of the limo , everyone looked at her , some who hated her looked at her with jealousy
But she didn't care, she held her head high and walked inside in her dance class. She had better things to do then get into immature arguments.
It didn't take long before she found her dance class and sat down next to her best friend and a new friend.

Kimberly smiled, but was Interrupted before she could even answer...

Before Kimberly could answer someone called Kailey to the other end of the classroom.

Cassandra nodded as she hugged Kimberly. They broke the hug as Kailey's laugh reached all the way to them
Cassandra glared at the girl, as she laughed with the kids who came from wealthy families. They all sat together at the other end of the class, no doubt gossiping...

I just informed the teacher that I still needed some time to breathe, so she's not going to make me dance today

The entire class went well, but Kimberly was nervously sweating.
Every time she tried too tell Cassandra what she wanted to, she was interrupted or Cassandra was called by some or the music was to loud...

The truth is that after my mother died, my uncle took me in. He not only gave me a new family and a place to stay, but he also gave me an opportunity to make all of my dreams come true.
She took another deep breath as she tried to hold her tears back

This week will be my last week with you guys. I'll be training as a trainee for Big Hit Company, and moving on the become a contracted Idol...
Kimberly felt like she was dying inside. The class , her bestfriend, her teacher....
All of them are like family to her
Tears started to roll down her cheeks
Everyone in the room went to her and hugged her, her tears falling down her face
The congratulated her asking her to not forget about them and come visit them often, even the wealthy kids showed now hate or jealousy, and we're genuinely happy for her.
All of them knew of how hard she worked , she juggled her life , school and work and she never messed up anything
They were all happy for her, happy that she finally got someone to take care of her instead of her taking care of them...
As everyone stood around her, Cassandra was the only one who stood a few meters away
Cassandra shook her head before running out of the room.
Not turning back, not even saying a word.
Kimberly ran out after her, but she couldn't find her.
She searched all over the school grounds, but it seemed that Cassandra had already left.
When Kimberly returned to the school grounds, she was immediately hugged by her uncle

I just want to go home

Alright, your bags already in the car.
She got into the limo, and stared out of the window as the drove away.
