Donghai was rich enterparurer and he falls in love with girl named daiyu and they get into true love and daiyu have a problem to see past life and she's the first spirit to see past death but not the last and then she falls for Donghai and they fall apart and Donghai finds his way back home and lives happily with his parents
"What do you mean you're not seeing past life?" His mother asked him. "Your father said there were some things about your life that would never be seen by anyone else, like how you won't marry, or how your eyes are always red. But I've watched your entire life from my bedside! You look just like me when I was your age! How can you not see past life?"
Donghai shook his head. "I don't know. Maybe because it's supposed to hurt? I didn't really think much on it, it just happened. And besides, I'm happy now." He smiled at her. She looked at him sadly and took her hand away.
"It's not fair, Donghao." She stood up. "We could have had so many more years together, if you would just have waited for me. But no. You chose this." She walked out of the room.
Donghai sighed. It wasn't fair.. Not at all. But life was hard and sometimes things just happen. He knew this. It was a fact. But it didn't make it any easier. The thought that someday she would find someone else that actually loved her, that actually cared about her and wanted to be with her, made his chest ache. He couldn't help but feel lonely all the time. No matter what he did, she always left him behind.
He looked down at his hands and stared at them. He wondered if he'd ever meet someone as amazing, as beautiful, as kind as she was. Someone who would treat him just as well as he treated them. Someone that would look into his eyes and tell him she loved him just as dearly, that she wanted to spend their whole lives together. That she didn't want to see past life anymore. Or maybe even that she wanted children with him someday.
But that was impossible. She would never be able to see past life. Even though he was sure they were real and were living their own lives in front of her. They'd only ever exist if she allowed them to exist. But that was what hurt most of all. To live knowing he could never have them. He'd never stop thinking of herNever stop wishing she was still alive. Never stop wishing that she saw through life.
The door opened again and his mother came back into the room. She sat next to him, put a comforting arm around him, and held him tight.
"I miss her too, sweetie." She whispered. "I wish we could see our pasts again. But I know we won't. Because they'll go away eventually. I promise you." She kissed the top of his head and let go of him.
Donghai stayed sitting in silence for a little longer before standing up.
"Where are you going?" His mom asked.
"To my room," Donghai replied softly.
His mom stood up and followed him to his room. He locked the door and laid down. There weren't any tears, which was a good thing. He didn't know if he could hold them back anymore. Instead, he buried his face in his pillow and cried. He hated feeling like this. He wanted to feel better. But he just couldn't. Everything was wrong. Why should he feel better if there wasn't anyone to share it with? It wasn't fair.
He closed his eyes and tried to fall asleep.Would he even want to? He sighed again and rubbed his eyes. Why did she have to leave him behind? Why did he have to live alone? Why was he such an idiot? Why couldn't he understand that she'd always choose someone better? Why was he doomed to stay with someone who would only be around for short term? He let out another sigh and laid his head back against the headboard. Why couldn't it have been different?
He closed his eyes. Maybe he should try to get some sleep. Just one more day without her. Then maybe he'd finally be able to move on and stop being sad all the time. If he didn't see her anymore, then it wouldn't be so bad. He'd move on. He opened his eyes once again and got up from his bed. He stretched and headed downstairs. When he entered the kitchen he saw the rest of his family talking quietly together. He froze. Was this real? He stepped closer. They were talking about him. He felt his chest tighten. This couldn't possibly be real. What was going on? He looked at them with tears falling down his cheeks. Tears that he hadn't cried for weeks. They stopped talking and looked up at him. They looked surprised, and worried, and he wished they'd go back to their previous conversation. He wanted to disappear from existence.Everything hurt so much.
"Dad..." He whispered and ran upstairs to his room. He slammed the door shut and dropped onto his bed sobbing. He buried his face in his pillow and hugged it tightly to his body. He tried not to cry but it was too much. Everything was too much. Everything hurt. Everything was wrong. He squeezed his eyes shut. He wanted her. He needed her. He needed to hear her voice. Her laugh. Her voice telling jokes. Her voice singing. Her voice comforting him. He hated this feeling. He hated it. He hated it. He just wanted to forget. He pulled the blanket over his head and curled into himself, trying to muffle his cries. A moment later he heard footsteps outside his door. He held his breath as someone knocked gently on it.
"Donghao," his dad's voice came through the door, "can we please talk? I promise I'll make it quick."
Donghao remained silent.
"Please, Donghao. Talk to us. Let's figure something out, yeah?"
The door clicked shut softly and Donghao was left alone in his room. He pulled the blanket off his head and sat up. He wiped his face with his arm and looked at his window. There were tears in his eyes still, and he knew why
t believe this was happening, not after all these years. He shook his head and grabbed the phone sitting on his nightstand. He dialed a number he knew by heart.
"Hello?"
Donghao sniffled, trying desperately not to cry, "Yoo Joonghyuk? Can you pick me up? Please."
"Of course, Donghao," Yoo Joonghyuk replied and hung up.
He put his jacket on quickly and went to check on his parents. Both were asleep. Good. He crept into the car and buckled his seatbelt. As Yoo Joonghyuk pulled out of the driveway he glanced over at Donghao. He was crying, but he was trying not to. He kept wiping his face.
"Everything okay?" Yoo Joonghyuk asked. Donghao shrugged. Yoo Joonghyuk sighed. He knew that he wouldn't be getting anything out of Donghao tonight. Not now anyway. Donghao turned his attention forward and looked out the window. His breathing hitched a little. Oh, right. The funeral. He hadn't gone. In fact, he hadn't even come close.
His parents were dead. He had no other friends. He had lost everything. He was all alone. He was alone for good.Chapter 2
As Yoo Joonghyuk pulled up to the cemetery he glanced at Donghao and frowned. He looked exhausted. He looked like he was barely holding on. He looked upset. But he still nodded, unbuckled his seat belt, and stepped out of the car. Yoo Joonghyuk followed him and shut the door before walking to where Donghao was standing.
"Ready?" Yoo Joonghyuk asked quietly. Donghao bit the inside of his cheek.
"Yeah," he answered quietly and nodded. Yoo Joonghyuk reached forward and put his hand on Donghao's shoulder and smiled at him.
"Let's go."
Donghao nodded and followed after Yoo Joonghyuk as they made their way to the gravesite. He looked at the gravestones and sighed. All of the names were familiar, but most weren't. He knew some by sight though. That was good. He didn't know which ones he remembered and which ones he didn't, so he hoped that those memories would come back.
They reached the grave site and Yoo Joonghyuk stopped. He looked down at the ground sadly and bowed. Donghao watched him and nodded slightly. After a few momentof silence, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He unlocked it and tapped it on to check the time. He grimaced. 9:30. He hadn't expected it to take so long. He checked his messages. Nothing. He texted her, hoping that she would reply soon. Nothing. He cursed softly and sighed heavily. He didn't know what else to do. His mind was blank. He stared at the words on his screen, and blinked slowly as he read them.
"You will always be a special memory in my life, Donghao. For the most part, I've been happy with you. But I'm sure you know that. I hope you can move on and be with someone who'll love you. I wish you the best, my boy."
Donghao swallowed thickly and lowered his head. He shut his eyes and clenched his jaw, biting back tears. He turned away from the grave and wrapped his arms around himself. He stayed there until he couldn't stand the quiet anymore. He forced himself to walk away from the grave and continued walking down the street. He tried to ignore the pain in his chest as he walked. It was harder than he thought it'd be. As he got further away from the grave, he found himself staring at the sun setting across the horizon.sHe could remember when he first saw the sunset there and how he had stared for hours before realizing that it was time to go home. How much he wanted to keep looking at the sky forever, but he knew that he had to go home. He had chores to do. He had homework to finish. And his father was waiting for him. He was supposed to bring him lunch and dinner. That's what he was going to do now.
But he couldn't bring himself to move any farther away from the grave. The last thing he wanted to do was turn away from this memory that he had created with her and the one that he would never see again. So he stood there, watching the sun slowly set until a familiar car approached. His gaze shot over to the driver and he raised his eyebrows as he noticed who it was.
"Yoo Jonghyuk?" He asked. Yoo Jonghyuk pulled up next to him.
"Good evening, Donghao." He said softly as he parked and got out of the car. Donghao watched him. He looked tired. Like he had just gotten home from work. Which was odd because Donghao usually picked him up when they went out. He frowned slightly. Yoo Jonghyuk took a step towards him, but paused and then looked down and back up at him.His shoulders sagged and he closed his eyes. He sighed heavily and shook his head, as if saying 'I don't have time.' Donghao furrowed his brows as he watched Yoo Jonghyuk open his eyes again and meet his gaze.
"Can you please come home with me today, Donghao?" Yoo Jonghyuk asked.
Donghao looked away from him and swallowed hard. He nodded. Yoo Jonghyuk walked towards him and took his wrist and started leading him towards his car. Donghao followed behind him. They both got into the car and Donghao stared at the floor as Yoo Jonghyuk drove. He couldn't help but feel like he did something really bad. He looked over at Yoo Jonghyuk. He wasn't looking at him either. He was staring straight ahead.
"Is everything alright?" Donghao asked quietly, breaking the silence. Yoo Jonghyuk turned his head and looked at him. He looked away and pursed his lips.
"We'll talk later, okay, Donghao?" Yoo Jonghyuk replied.
Donghao sighed and looked out of the window as Yoo Jonghyuk continued driving, ignoring the pain in his chest.
When they finally arrived at his house Yoo Jonghyuk let Donghao walk in before following him upstairs to his bedroom.
"Do you want anything to eat?" Yoo Jonghyuk asked.
"No thank you," Donghao responded and sat down at his desk. He rested his elbows on the edge and rested his head in his hands. Yoo Jonghyuk hesitated. He sat down on the bed and stared at Donghao for a moment before speaking.
"Are you mad at me?" He asked. Donghao looked up sharply.
"What?" He asked softly. Yoo Jonghyuk sighed.
"Do you hate me?"
Donghao looked at him, confused. "I.. No."
"Then why are you acting like this? Why won't you talk to me?"
"It's nothing!" Donghao exclaimed.
Yoo Jonghyuk furrowed his brows, "What happened?"
"Nothing!" Donghao repeated firmly.
"Donghao-"
"It's fine! Everything is fine!" Donghao cut him off.
"No, it's not. What's wrong? You're hurting, aren't you?" Yoo Jonghyuk asked.
"I... I..." Donghao stammered. ""I don't...."
"What happened?"
"I..." Donghao paused, unsure of what to say.
"I don't want you to be angry with me, Donghao. We haven't seen each other in months. I don't understand how you're acting right now. This isn't like you. Is there something I need to know?" Yoo Jonghyuk asked gently. Donghao sighed heavily and ran his hands through his hair. He looked down at the carpet and chewed on his lip. He took a deep breath and looked back up at Yoo Jonghyuk. He looked sad.
"She died." Donghao whispered.
He didn't look at him. Didn't even try to hide the tears that began to fill his eyes. Yoo Jonghyuk's face fell and he looked at Donghao sadly.
"Oh." Was all he said.
Donghao nodded slightly. Tears rolled down his cheeks and his bottom lip trembled as his tears began to fall faster. Yoo Jonghyuk frowned deeply and reached out, putting his hand on Donghao's arm. Donghao flinched, but quickly recovered when he felt the warmth of his hand and the comforting touch. He sniffed and wiped his nose. Why don't we talk about it?" He asked.
Donghao looked at him, his eyes wide.
"Talk about what?"
"Everything. About the past, the present, or even... maybe our future," Yoo Jonghyuk suggested. Donghao bit his bottom lip and furrowed his brows.
"I.. don't think I can." Donghao admitted quietly.
"Why?"
"Because.. Because I don't wanna tell you that it hurts, hyung." He said.
"That doesn't make sense. If it makes you feel better, you should tell me. I'm your older brother. I care about you, Donghao." Yoo Jonghyuk said. Donghao shrugged lightly, and looked at the floor.
"I don't wanna get hurt again." He whispered quietly. He looked up at Yoo Jonghyuk and gave him a weak smile.
"Besides, you deserve to know what happened to her too, hyung. You should hear about it too." He said softly.
"How would it affect you?" Yoo Jonghyuk asked with slight confusion. Donghao shook his head lightly and chuckled. He glanced at Yoo Jonghyuk, who was watching him carefully.
"It wouldn't. Butit would mean something different if you heard about it too, wouldn't it, hyung?" Donghao asked quietly. Yoo Jonghyuk looked at him curiously. He opened his mouth to say something, but he shut it and smiled.
"Yes. Yes, it would." He answered softly and nodded. Donghao smiled faintly at him. Yoo Jonghyuk smiled back hesitantly.
"Okay. Let's talk later, all right?" He said. Donghao nodded.
"Yeah. Later." He agreed and then looked away from him and stared at the wall. He looked down at his desk. He was frowning as he picked up his pencil and tapped it against his knee. Yoo Jonghyuk watched him, feeling guilty. Donghao had always been so kind to him, ever since he had known him. He didn't deserve the way Donghao was treating him. He didn't deserve any of the insults he was throwing at him. Even though they were true. Donghao was being harsh, but he didn't know that. Yoo Jonghyuk knew that.
Yoo Jonghyuk stood up, but Donghao didn't look up. He took a few steps closer and stood beside the desk.
"Donghao?" He called softly.Donghao glanced at him briefly.
"Yes, hyung?" He said softly.
"Did something happen between us? Did I do something to make you upset? Do I need to fix it?" Yoo Jonghyuk asked.
Donghao shook his head, but stopped and looked up at him. "No." He murmured quietly. He looked away from Yoo Jonghyuk and stared at the ground again. He looked up again at Yoo Jonghyuk when he spoke again.
"So? What happened?" Yoo Jonghyuk prompted. Donghao sighed deeply, and closed his eyes. He looked away from him and bit his lower lip.
"You didn't tell me you loved me." He whispered.
Yoo Jonghyuk blinked and looked shocked at Donghao. He hadn't expected that. It seemed Donghao hadn't expected it either. He had told him he cared about him but Yoo Jonghyuk hadn't thought that Donghao would believe him after what had happened. He had expected him to say something more hurtful, but instead he'd said that. The last thing he wanted to do was hurt Donghao. He had meant what he said earlier; he didn't want anyone else to make him unhappy. He didn'know how else to show how much Donghao meant to him. He loved him. He loved him dearly and he loved him more than words could describe. He loved him with everything he had, but he didn't have any idea how to show him that. He didn't even know where to start showing Donghao how much he meant to him. All he did know was that he loved him. And that was enough for him. That was all he could hope for, and honestly, that was all he wanted. He hoped and prayed that one day Donghao would return those feelings just as much as he did. He wanted nothing more than to be with him. He wanted to spend every day with Donghao, every second of his life, just as he did now.
"I.." Yoo Jonghyuk started to say, but didn't continue. He cleared his throat and shifted awkwardly. Donghao looked at him and bit his lip nervously when he saw the expression on his face. He frowned slightly as Yoo Jonghyuk looked away from him and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Hyung, what did I do? Was it because of something I said?" He asked worriedly.
Yoo Jonghyuk looked at him. He didn't reply immediately.
