I look up from my phone as I heard my name being called by my elder brother.

"Kingsley..." Came my brother's thunderous voice.

" You do know that I am here right?" I snapped at him. He is really getting on my nerves.

" What did I tell you about operating your phone here?" He said ignoring my the sarcasm in my last word.

" I will just go to my room bro, chill. I said getting up from the couch and head to my room.

"Asshole!" I heard him curse. I stepped into my room pulling my shoes as well. I jumped on the bed enjoying the softness of the bed.

I was about drifting off to Dreamland when I felt my phone vibrate.

It's a message from my best friend Mayor.

Hello

He is trying to start a conversation with me.

Hey May how was your day ? I replied and waited for his response but instead my phone rang I looked at the caller ID, it was my best friend.

" Hello "

" Why are you still awake? it's late you know "

" I am excited, that's why "

" What's the catch?" Knowing my best friend he is probably excited to go kill himself. He is a very brave boy while I'm the opposite.

" We are going on a vacation in space."  He said super excitedly. Making me gasp.

" You know I won't be going with you right?" If he think I am joining him in his crazy adventure again he better do a rethink.

" Come on its not s bad idea you know,    besides Amanda is coming with us." At the mention of Amanda my heart skipped. Mayor knows how to get what he wants with me.

I know you're confused about who Amanda is. Amanda is my childhood friend and crush at the same time more like an obsession. Or you could say I am stalker but I don't give a damn...

" Hello are you still there? " Mayor said bringing me out of my little thought.

" Who else is going?" I asked maybe this will not be a bad idea.

" Mary and Kelly are also going and if you want I will bring some of my friends but your little jet is not going to take more than 5 people you know."

"Screw you I not going to bring out my baby!" And I meant it. it took me several months to build that and also my brother spend almost half of his salary on it. I was going to launch it at the end of the year.

" Look King you know that I am not unreasonable, I have a better idea, I know you may be thinking that I... " I cut him off immediately.

" I am not using my baby to go on this nonsense vacation of yours."

" Look Kingsley, there going to be a competition. It is base on adventure and I am trying to write a story about space besides the award is worth three of your rocket you know," if what he is saying is true then I am going to give it a try. Like the say there's no harm in trying.

May have won so many award as an author in the school. So there's still chances of him winning this one also.

" Well I will let you think about it" he said. How much will the give the winner?" I asked.

" Well there are three price,

1st person get one million dollars, and a brand new Bugatti Veyron, and also a job offer as a literature professor at SPK university.

2nd person get eight hundred thousand dollars and McLaren.

3rd person get 500 hundred thousand dollars.

The rest of the participants will be giving ten thousand dollars per person. He concluded.

" Wow..." I muttered " so how much would be my own.."

" 20 percent." He caught me off. 200 hundred thousand dollars is enough for me to build another rocket right?

" Why don't you make it 30 that will be fair you know?" I said hopefully.

25 percent please, Mary, Amanda, and Kelly will take 25 percent. "

" Okay when are we going?" I asked

" So that we will have two months of experience."

" Why are you telling me now. I have only one day to prepare don't you think we should postpone it?"

" Please. Two hours is enough for you to prepare you know."

" Ok hang up now I am very tired honestly." I yawn.

After talking with May. My thoughts circulated around the adventure that was yet to come.

I am not going to tell my brother cause he will never when I say never I mean never ever agree with me.

If I go with them I am going to talk to Amanda and maybe I'd have a chance with her you know. My thoughts drifted off to what will happen if I come back empty handed.

I took my phone and immediately Dialed May's number.

" Hello" he picks up at the second ring.

I contemplated about telling him that I have another idea but decided to say it.

" Why don't you just write a fictional story, I mean that is what authors do right? " He was quiet. " Right?" I asked again.

" Thanks for the idea, but I have thought about that too. but I wanted this to be historical adventure story, it's fine if you don't want to go with us, we'll hire... "

" No no no, I am going. I just wanted to know if there is... Forget about it." I said ready to hang up.

" You alright? " He asked in a worried tone.

" I am fine,"

" You sure? I could come over you know," he said not believing what I said earlier.

" I fine really, I am good. "

" Okay good night"

" You too!" I said and hung up.

I drop my phone on the bedside table and rolled the duvet over my body drifting off to sleep immediately.

"Come on let's go" May said we are in my hand made rocket.

" Mayor, who owns this?" Amanda asked patting my baby.

" I own it" I said simply.

" Where did you get the money to buy a rocket" she eyed me suspiciously.

" It's my project, that is what my teacher teaches me at school you know?"

" Wow, so you are telling me that you built this by yourself?"

" Well Mayor helped me too." I replied.

" You're a genius," she said. I just prayed that this should not disappoint me.

" What are we waiting for? Let's go."may squealed excitedly

" And where do you think you are going to? " Oh shit it's my brother! We are screwed, I mean I am screwed me particularly he is going to seize my ride.

" On a journey are you that dumb?" It was Mary. I could swear that she is a witch.

" Come here Kingsley!" He said

" No I am not coming,"

" King, King ," I slowly open my eyes to a pair of brown eyes staring at me

" Hey wake up. " It's May, what is he doing here.

" How did you get into my room?" I asked getting up to go to the restroom.

" It's almost midday." He said. " We need to get you ready for the trip" he said as he stood at the restroom doors arms folded around his chest.

" Ok"

" wow, I am floating" may squeaked. I look around the place there's nothing adventurous about this place all I could see is just cloud nothing more nothing less.

" Perfect place for a perfect adventure!" I said sarcastically.

" Yeah right, I did the right thing to have choose this place right?" Mayor said not noticing the sarcasm in my voice.

" So, do you see anything that looks like adventure here ?" I snapped my voice going higher than I intended to sound.

" We are not there yet bro. look at the microscope." He said gesturing at the scope attached to the window.

I went closer and peeped. A huge machine like thing was floating around in the air but it's not moving.

" What is this?" I asked May.

" I don't know I have only been here once."

"I am not sure but by the look of it, it could be the satellite," it was Kelly he now awake.

" How was your night?" I asked.

Because of my brother we took off at night.

" It was pretty co..." He was cut off by a loud scream. I looked to where the noise was coming from. Amanda was the one who is screaming.

" Help me I woke up this morning and... And I found myself floating on the air I cannot come down, please help me!" From the look of her face I could tell that she is really panicked.

" Look Amanda you have to calm down, everything here's floating so."

" Where are we? Kingsley?"

" Is she sleeping when we took off last night?" Kelly asked rudely. I nudge him in the stomach.

" Ouch, what is that for? "

" For being rude..."

" Look, you are floating too!" Amanda shouted making me cover my ears with my palm.

" you shouting." Mary said. The twins are rude I look at may who have been quiet all along.

" What are we having for breakfast?" I asked looking him in his deep ocean blue eyes.

" Anything you want. The fridge is stuffed with everything you will need"  he said emphasizing the need word.

" Would that be enough for. a few weeks?" Kelly asked navigating toward the, he grabbed hold of it and pushed it to me. It went crashing against me.

" Ouch!" The laughm. " It's not funny you punk " I said in irritation.

"Its very funny and you know that," Mary said smirking at me.

" Oh please" I said floating away from them. If they think they can bully me the are wrong cause they have gotten another thing coming at them.

" Hey we are just pulling your leg you know" may said pouting at me. I looked away from him immediately I can't resist that pout, in fact nobody can.

" King you have to calm down, go and take a nap, cause you need it, you have been awake all night." It was Amanda, she looks at me with look of concern. I hope she's not worrying about me because the last thing I want is a lady worrying about me.

" I will just go inside." I said.

I have been inside this room for what seems like an hour now but I can't sleep.

How can you sleep while floating on the air? My subconscious mind asked.

" Yeah right?" I said.

"Are you seeing ghosts?" Amanda said coming inside the room.

" Sorry?" I said, I didn't understand what she said.

" You are talking to yourself."

" You mean, I said that out loud." I asked, it was meant to be a thought but stupid me went and say it out loud.

"Yes of course you said it out loud"

How can she be so cool about that. I stared at her.

"Can you hear me into sleep?" I asked looking at her mesmerizing brown eyes. They are so beautiful. She is so perfect.

" Sure"she said she seem to be happy about it.

"thank you very much I'm very grateful!"

"Do you want me to sing you a lullaby?"she asked.

"I'm not a kid you know"she rolled her eyes.

" So what do you want me to do for you"

" I don't know think of another thing"

" I have nothing in mind," she pause and continue almost immediately " I have an idea" she paddle herself to where I am floating.

She took my face in her palm, that would not make me sleep you know. I thought but changed my mind after a few minutes I went off to Dreamland.

Amanda's p.o.v

I caressed his face as if you sleep he is so handsome how can someone be so handsome they look like a Greek god.I have had a crush on you since we were in 8 grade.

I rubbed his face feeling the warm softness of his handsome face. There's no denying that I want him to be my boyfriend. I am not denying it either.

But I don't know if you like me too, well someone this handsome will go for more beautiful girl because of him I have not had a boyfriend, I have been turning them down, in King's case she has had numerous girlfriend and sex mates.

He stir  in his bed in his sleep. Making my heart beat faster, is he going to wake up? You shouldn't wake up right now is too early for that I want to savor this moment. I said mentally

" You know, you could do better than that!" I spun around and found May at the door holding it to stop himself from floating away.

"What do you mean?" I asked looking at him. He smirked.

"You like him right?" He asked but before I could say anything he continues, " he like you too, when we get out of here, you can go on dates with him if you like. you can do anything here but anything you do here is going to be writing as a novel." He said writing down something in the book he's holding.

" Why ?"I asked.

"Because that is the reason behind this trip."

" Go out now you are making noise"I see clearly annoyed at him.

"Hey don't be mad at me I should have told you earlier."

"I'm not mad at you, you said he likes me?" I ask turning around to look at Kinsley.

" Yes since you transferred to our school," you said with sincerity.

" Tell me you're not joking?"if he was pulling my leg I'm going to kill.

"I know that look like you are going to kill me but I know what I'm saying"

" So how can I help you with your story?" He was about to answer when Kelly run inside the room interrupting our little quarrel.

" Where is me it looks like our ride is going to crash" he said looking scared.

"You are lying I don't believe you"I said trying to convince myself that I don't believe him.

I was about to say something but I was interrupted by a loud thud making me crashed into the wall together with Kingsley.

I woke up when I crash into the wall pain shot through my head. I felt dizzy.

when I wake up again I find out that we are not floating anymore I am lying down near Amanda she's fast asleep or should I say she is in coma.

"Amanda please wake up!" I said shaking her. my hand touch something wet and sticky, I brought my eyes close to where I can see it I saw blood, she's injured.

I quickly tore  a part of my clothes using it as a bandage. I tried her wound.

" don't know you are so caring,"she said making me flinched.

"I am sorry I scared you" she apologized.

" Are you ok?? " I asked checking to know if she's good

" I'm fine, I'm fine just some pain in my shoulder."

" You sure?"

"Look your friend is hurt too," she said gesturing at may I ran to where may was passed out on the floor. He is lying Face down on the floor. I turned him around, he groaned.

" Are you okay? " I asked him.

" I am fine, what about you?"

" I am good!"

I helped him up,

" What about me" Kelly asked standing up from where he has passed out. " And why are we not dead ?" He asked.

" I don't know but we are alive don't you think we should be finding a way to get home? We had enough adventure don't you think?"  I asked.

"I am really sorry for causing you all this problem," may said.

" You owe me a thousand bucks," Mary said coming inside the room.

" For what, for making sure that you land properly," she replied.

"What really happened Kelly and Mary? " Amanda asked.

" It looks like our plane crash on a drone or something but its invisible. "

" Let's get out of here, can you start it" Mary asked gesturing at me. " It has refused to start."

"I wish that you just now, let's go"

" Ok"

We all went to the driver's area and try to start the engine but it refused to start we have tried all we can but in vain.

"I will just go inside the engine to check if I can find the problem" I said

"I will go with you" Amanda volunteer.

" Ok sure,"

we went inside the engine room after 5 minutes of checking the engine area I've checked all the engine parts but still I can't find the problem.

" I don't know what's wrong with this thing," I said angrily.

Suddenly I saw smokecoming out of the engine. It's going to explode let's get out of here as fast as you can. Will quickly run out of you engine room and went to meet the others.

" please we need to get out of here grab anything that you can,"I said.

" what happened,"

" the plane is going to explode! we don't have much time, we need our food so two people should carry the refrigerator," we quickly get down from the plane after carrying our luggages. after making sure none of our things is left inside the plane we went away with our truck which was in the boot of the plane before.

By now the fire is almost everywhere "we need to get far away from here, it will explode any moment from n..." before I could finish the plane explode throwing us away. I landed with a thud

"Damn it," Kelly groaned.

" Everyone ok?"may asked.

"We are good," we said in unison.

We have been walking for a while now but still we are in the middle of nowhere. It looks like we are in a desert after climbing the hill we started seeing bushes and we can see light also.

"It seems that we are near a village." I mumbled.

" What did you say?" Amanda who was closer to me asked.

"I said it seems like we are near a village,"I repeated.

" Oh my god, the village is so beautiful!"  Mary squealed happily.

As we got nearer to the village we saw a sign board that write: welcome to the town of Magic.

" Anyone with phone?" Kelly asked"I left my phone inside the plane"

"I'm with phone," I replied.

" What is the time?" He ask again

"4:00,"I reply

" What does sign board mean" I asked May.

"I don't know I have not been here before!"

" But you say you have come here before," Amanda interject.

"I said I have gone to space before I didn't see I came here!"

" So why are we here," it was Mary that girl is something else.

" We are here because we crashed you dumbass!" May replied gritting his teeth.

"you are very crazy that is why you bring us here to come and kill us all," Mary said, " but I can assure you your plan is not going to work,"

"I'm sorry I didn't know this will happen,"

" but it happened now,  so what are we going to do?" Kelly asked.

" It's simple we just have to trek I have got some money with me, when we get to the bus stop will board a bus that is going to Los Angeles,"

"It sounds simple," Amanda I decided to join the conversation.

By the time we reached the village everyone is so tired so we decided to go to a motel. We went to the nearest motel.

The receptionist a lady in her early 20s was all smile. "how may I help you young man,"

" we need two room for the night,"as we climbed up to the staircase people were staring at us I asked the receptionist.

" why are they staring at me like that,"

Because you are strangers we don't normally have visitors the village is a small village so we knew almost everybody here.

"Why is the village name magic or something I don't know?"

"It's simple because only people that have magic survive here."

" But we don't have magic," to tell the truth, I don't even believe in magic.

" You woudn't have been here if you don't have magic,"

" I am Madison, but you can call me Maddie,"

" Maddie this are my friend Kelly, May Mary and Amanda," I said emphasizing.

"I am glad to meet you all, " Maddie shook their hands and turn.

"We don't have time I'm tired I need to sleep," Kelly said angrily. I look down at the bill 70 dollars for a night. "Let's go inside," I said bringing out the money and give it to her.

We went inside the room, it's so warm but the interior decoration is good. "How are we going to stay here tonight? It's very hot in here. Don't you think,"Mary said.

" How can they call this piece of shit a hotel 🏨?" Kelly said sarcastically.

" motel you mean to say," Mayor correct him.

" Is there any difference?" Mary came to her brother's rescue. This twins are something else.

We're now at the bar, I went to the bartender,

"give me for shots bro,"I said. he gave me the glasses of liquor. I gulp down a glass And asked for another one. He gave it to me before I went to meet my friends. Mary was already dancing with a random stranger Likewise Kelly " where is Amanda"I asked.

" I don't know it's like she went to the restroom," he reply taking a glass from the tray.

"Oh there she is, she's so beautiful don't you think,"I say looking at Amanda.

"You're in love right, you know you can tell me anything I may help you if I can,"Messi taking another shot from the tray.

"easy man you will get drunk," I said you trying to change the topic.

"I mean what I said I can help you if you are in love with her," he said stretching his hand to take another glass of liquid.

" Hey are you always drinking like this?" I asked. Maybe there's a problem cuz that is why may  usually drink.

" Jeez are you serious? I mean are you really in love? With who?" The conversation was getting interesting, may have never been in love before this is a new thing.

"I'm sorry too," by now the alcohol has begin to take effect on me. I'm a bit tipsy. For May, his word has started sluring, please drunk!

"I am high but I'm not high enough I need to be more high I feel like I'm flying," he slurred laughing like a lunatic.

"Is this your first time of drinking?"I asked cuz he started acting strange. Well this is our first time drinking together I don't know if he has drink before.

"No not really but this is the first time I drink outside, I used to drink inside my bedroom, Can you please go and get more Buz, like I said I'm not high enough let's just call it adventure."he said resuming his laughter I have never seen this side off him before maybe because we were not that close to each other again.

"Yeah I will go and get it, just wait don't disturb anybody cause you look more higher than you think,"

"if I don't disturb anybody where is the fun of it?"he asked his mood changing to a frown.

"Hey stop being a jerk,"I said nudging him in the stomach.

"oh please, go and get the drink,"he slurred laughing this name.

Amanda's POV.

As soon as kingsley went to go get our drinks, mary went off immediately a random stranger Asked her for a dance so did Kelly, now I am left alone with May.

The guy looked like he is gay, the way he was looking at Kelly was... I don't know how to put it. But his eyes were full of love, is he in love with Kelly? I asked mentally it's not that I am homophobic or something. I'm not homophobic but I don't like when a man and a man look at their self like that.

I excuse myself Immediately I went inside the restroom I wash my face and sat down I shouldn't be thinking about another persons like. I should be thinking about myself about me and Kingsley.

Why was that bitch flirting with him even though she saw me holding his hand why are people so senseless?

I know we are not together but that doesn't mean that she had the chance to flirt with him 'he is mine' I'm not sharing him with anybody she should go to hell for all I clear.

I immediately stood up from where I was sitting at I've begun to walk back to the bar.

"Why is so oblivious?" I flinched. May I was at my back.

"You scared me,"

"I did I didn't know I spelt it I'm so sorry," he said sarcastically.

"Who are you talking about?"I asked.

"I'm talking about Kingsley, how he didn't get the clue that you had a huge crush or him!"he exclaimed.

"That shouldn't be your business, you should go and tell Kelly that you love him before another person take your place,"

"What?? How did you know that?"he asked clearly afraid.

" Hey relax I'm not going to tell anyone, this is your secret you should handle it by yourself but I suggested that you should try your luck with him, maybe you will have a chance with him."I encouraged him.

"Yes it is," he replied handing me a glass of champion.

"Yeah I got you some glass. you know that first was like bile."

" Well that's not my problem I don't care if it's bitter or sweet I just wanted to get drunk.

" Is going to close any moment from now you better loosen up and have some fun." King directed his gaze at me.

" Yeah I will, but I am not going to get drunk. Mind you if get too drunk I am going to leave y'all here.

" Can you really do that?" mayor teased me.

"Yeah and I will do more than that you idiot." I snapped at him.

" You really going to leave your crush all alone here," May said bluntly making me blush drunken may is something else.

I look at King, he is also blushing and that's only mean one thing, he likes me too. I squealed at the thought.

"Has she gone mad?" King said flatly.

Maybe I guess wrong I am not his type.

Maybe I should not have gotten my hopes up.
