Hey everyone, this is Clinton Fred Suarez. I'm a Filipino of legal age.

I'm an anime and film enthusiast. An avid fan of the pieces of work here in Mangatoon especially when it comes to fantasy, romance and mystery. I am also into horror.

This is my first ever novel or literary work that I'm working on. This is also to deviate my attention due to the suffering of depression and boredom as well.

The novel will loosely borrow from some stuff that's coming from Philippine Mythology and other related topics.

I would like to inform you ahead that the update of this work might be weekly basis on a 1-3 episodes/chapters. I do apologise on ahead if it may take a while sometimes coz I'm also working and also to my limited vocabulary since English is not my first language.

In the outskirts of a city, dark clouds surrounds the night sky. It is exactly 12:00 in the midnight...

A huge "BBAAAANNNNNGGGG!!!!" was heard. A blinding light shines in a structure that has risen from the depths of the earth for a few seconds then slowly fades.

Silence once again...

...----------------...

5 years later....

alarm clock sounds loudly

Kkkkkrriiiiiiinnnnngggggg!!!! krrrrriinnngg!!!!!

"Owh, .... I'm still sleepy" Fred murmurs

Fred is still lying on his bed after turning off the alarm.

"Another 5 minutes will not harm." and he shuts his eyes again.

After 30 minutes...

"Fred! Wake up! It's already 7:00 You'll gonna be late" Fred's mother wakes him.

Upon realizing what his mother had just said, Fred hastily went to the shower.

"Mom, why did you not wake me up at 6:00 am?" Fred whined as he takes his bag right after preparing.

"I thought you're already awake when I heard your alarm. Turns out you're not when I wondered why are still not downstairs at 6:30"

"hmmf... where's Dad?" Fred asked

"He went off already" his mom replied

"Anyway, thanks Mom. I'm gonna go ahead." Fred continued. "I'm gonna be late again."

"And where do you think you're going without eating young man?" his mom wondered

"Just save me some paksiw for later mom. I'm gonna be late for the field trip if I'll not go now.Bye!" Fred replies while taking off

"This kid" his mom murmured while sweeping the floor and seeing his son took off

Fred's POV:

I'm Fred Chavez, 18 years old and Senior High School Student at Unity High. Today is the first monday of July. This day, our class will gonna go on a field trip to one of the famous ruins in our province. This is supposed to be an educational and fun day with my classmates and of course, Emily but I'm mistaken. This day change my life forever.

"The morning sun never felt this good" Fred says to himself as he enters the campus.

"Good morning, Unity High" he exclaimed.

"Hey!" shouts someone "wait for me Fred!"

It's Elric Javier, my best friend and classmate. He's 17 years old.

"Come 'on Elric we'll gonna be late for the field trip" Fred said

"pfff! man we're just few steps away and as you can see we are just in time for us to get in the bus." Elric replies

"You're so different than Emily man. Are you really her twin brother?" Fred asks in amusement

"By looks you can see that we do have the same vibes but yeah she's just too diligent"

answers Elric as they hop on the bus.

"Let's sit at the back"

"yeah" Fred says as looks as to where Emily is sitting at.

She's just perfect. Beautiful, friendly and smart. The muse of the class.

"Good morning Fred" Emily greets

"Morning Ems" Fred replies as he passed by.

"Are we all complete?" Prof. James Raymundo, the advisor of the class asked as he continues to count the students

"I believe we are Sir" Wilkins, one of the students replies

"If that is so then let's head to the ruins!" Mr. Raymundo exclaims

"Yes!!!!!" the students cries

the wheels of the school bus screeches as it starts to move.

2 hours after the bus left...

The group of students that is on route to a field trip is Unity High 's Senior High School Class 1A consisting of 30 students with Prof. James Raymundo, their adviser though the ones who actually joined the field trip is just 20.

Unity High, the most prestigious High School in the Philippines. The school has produced a number of notable and influential people in the country. The class which is particularly considered the best is Class 1A.

The current Class 1A is the pride of Unity High with more than 3 geniuses and an adviser who's a genius himself on it. Some are top athletes of the school as well. Some of the brethren of the influential families in the city also belongs to the class. Advance subjects and studies are also taught. To be able to join the ranks of this particular class once you reach Senior High School education is a goal in Unity High.

As part of the advanced studies of the class, Archeology is included and is the main reason why they're making the trip.

Their destination is the famous ruins that has mysteriously appeared in the outskirts of the City. It's been 5 years since it emerged and after 2 years of inspection and studies, the government now allows the public to see some parts of the ruins.

Meanwhile inside the bus...

"Let me handle the boss Fred." Elric said

"Hah! Does it look that I'm going to give the credit in this game to you that easy?" Fred jokingly replies.

"Fine then. Just let me play if you died in that level." Elric shrugged while looking away from the PSP

While he strolls his eyes, his eyes laid on Natalie

Elric's POV

When will I get the chance to talk to a fine maiden like you? Even though you're mean sometimes, you're still a goddess in my eyes. I hope my sis will help me on that matter

The girl Elric is talking about is Natalie Javier. Class 1A's Vice President, 18 years old who he has a huge crush on.

Elric's twin sister is Emily, 17 years old, top of the class, the Student Body and Class 1A President.

"Hey sis, give my regards to your seatmate there" Elric pleads to Emily who is just across their aisle.

"Not a chance bro." Emily jokingly replies

"hmmff, as if you don't have some feels for my bro in here. Let's help out each other sis." Elric says

Emily blushes and just shrugged his brother off.

"Tsssk! This level is so hard. Here you go brother" as Fred hands the PSP to Elric

"I'll just listen to some music on Spotify" Fred continued.

"You sure with that?" Elric asked

"Yes." Fred replies as he plays Pano by Zack Tabuldo on his phone

"Very well then. Suit yourself." Elric stated

Fred's POV

When will I get the chance to confess my feelings for you Emily? It's not that I'm a coward. Wilkins just really did asked you first.

Wilkins de Leon is Fred's classmate as well, 18 years old and is the captain of the basketball team of their school.

Fred's POV

If not for Wilkins my plan to confess to Emily would've been a success. This guy, no matter how silent and cool he is to other girls out there had been keeping an eye on Emily all along. There's nothing else really that I can be of better with him. I mean he's cool, tall, smart, athletic and all. I have no chance on having Emily.

"Don't look so gloomy there Fred, you still has a chance with sis. Trust me." Elric exclaims while still playing

"Huh?" as Fred blushed with confusion

"Come on brother don't worry I support you more than that Wilkins. He's not that bad though so you need to catch up."

"Wooh. Thank you man. You're really encouraging." Fred jokes

Fred's POV

By the way, I belong to Class 1A of Senior High School program of Unity High.

Most people say that we are the best of the best class in the whole school and it is the goal of every student to join us but for me, we are just the same with the common sections. There is nothing special about us. Except maybe my classmates are the children of some of the influential families in our city.

There was my best friend Elric and his twin Emily, who was the apple of my eye. Emily is the pride of the school. Beautiful, smart, and above all kind. She had maybe everything men wanted. She is also the Student Body President of the entire Unity High. An achiever to the bone.

She and Elric are very opposite but this friend of mine is also handsome. You can’t deny that they are twins.

Natalie and Suzzane were also with us. Emily's best friends.

Natalie is the Vice President of the Student Body. She is also beautiful and smart, that's why my best friend was attracted to her.

Suzzane, on the other hand, is one of the most trustworthy in the class but she is very fond of reading anything.

The school's Star Athletes Wilkins and Cyril are also here. Wilkins used to be my best friend, but I don't know why he suddenly walked away from Elric and me. I think because he likes Emily too. He is the captain of the Basketball team.

Cyril, on the other hand, is a good basketball player who is considered one of the school's prodigies like Wilkins. He's just a little arrogant.

There were 30 of us in the class but only 20 went on the field trip.

Our guardian on the trip was our class adviser Professor James Raymundo. Also a genius and pride product of Unity High. He's an archeologist and I idolize him.

Oh, I just didn't realize we had arrived.

As my classmates continued to chat or doing anything that they want on their seats, the school bus stops.
