and suddenly appeared a young man who seemed to be twenty years old, his height reached five foot ten, his light pink hair had shined from the dark, jawline being as sharp as his eyes which had dark circles under his eyes ── he had been too tried from his night shift in the hospital, and his round glasses had fixed the males tired look

he seemed so tried that he even forgot to take his white and long coat off, and in a small plastic nametag his name was written in black ── zhou yan

zhou yan groaned, taking the phone that kept ringing from the picked which was on the right side of his jacket

" what does mom want, it's three in the morning and she knows i am tried as **** ! " the raspberry haired exclaims, answering the phone call

not having any patience, the young man cut the call and aggressively shove his phone in the pocket, he was already stressed out and tired while his mother was now making it worse

lazily walking, he suddenly bumped into another man who seemed to be the same age as him, but the man's height was three feet taller than him

zhou yan carefully observed the man's figure, who was wearing a white shirt under a black leather jacket with a random pair of jeans,a small tattoo was on his neck with the initials J.SY written and his face gave off an intimidating look, zhou yan also realised the man had blueberry hair

he was so lost in thought that he didn't realise that the blueberry haired man was talking to him " hey raspberry head, i know I am hot you don't have to stare at me "

zhou yan felt his face flush pink, but tried to act normal " excuse me, but my name is zhou yan, not raspberry head " the shorter male grinned making the taller let out a chuckle

" i guess you don't know me, my name is jiang shiyi " he let his hand out for a handshake only for the raspberry head to raise a brow and think...

do i look like i even know someone called shiyi?

as soon as shiyi realized why zhou yan seemed to be unamused by his nice attitude, he chuckled before mentioning " i forgot to tell you, i am a well known assassin in this country "

did zhou yan give a **** about it? no, all he wanted to do is go home and sleep in his room all day

zhou yan was in the hospital, wearing his usual surgery wear, he quickly fixed his glasses and started at the white sneakers he wore since he was rushed up, the plastic cap hiding his messy hair

it was suppose to be his day off but an emergency had come up, and he couldn't resist the two day day off offer given to him so he ended up coming to the hospital really happy and all, like he felt on the first day he worked in the hospital

taking his cap and surgical mask off, he gasped for air as if the mask suffocated his nose, even thought the surgery was two hours long and it was an easy surgery unlike other operations and surgeries he attended

" well hi zhou, seems like we meet again " he suddenly heard his crush ─ bai meiling ─ as she took her gloves off " oh hey meiling, we meet again " the taller male smiled

" i need to tell you something zhou..." the shorter female was holding onto his hand, staring at his eyes " zhou yan, i love you " hearing that sentence, zhou yan felt his heart beat fast, it felt like his heart would jump out of his chest in any second, zhou yan smiled

" bai meiling, i love you too, ever since i stepped into this hospital " zhou yan replied, feeling happier than a usual human being

suddenly, meiling had tip toed till she could reach his height and leaned closer to his face, her hot breath fanning his lips, as it got closer and they were going to kiss until ─

" ZHOU YAN YOU UGLY BITCH, WAKE UP " his alarm had made him groaned and he kept trying to turn off the alarm on his phone but he fell on the ground " GOSH CANT I GET SOME GOOD SLEEP FOR ONCE? "

the male lazily stood up, wearing his glasses and started debating wether he should go out or not

i really need to buy some groceries though, there is nothing at home

standing up, zhou yan grabbed onto the towel which was laying on the chair in front of his old study table and then opened his closet, trying to choose what he would wear

but of course he remembers it was now winter, so he ended up wearing a black turtleneck top and then some pair of pants he could find

he had took a few minutes in the bathroom, and got out while shivering in the cold, since the water had freezes him, he was still cold wearing his clothes

" why is the water so cold ! " he exclaimed, trying his hair with the hair dryer which he also basically used to warm his body up with, and then combed his hair before shoving his apartment keys and his wallet in the pocket of his jeans

as he got out, he saw how everyone was happy outside, with their partners as they didn't even look like they were freezing in the cold and that made him weirded out

how are they so happy when they are with their destined partners?!

he didn't hate them though, he just admired the ones who found the one for them but look at him, being a single doctor who hasn't got his payment yet

ignoring the scene in front of him, he quickly marched his way to the shop nearby and gripped tightly on his phone, trying to look straight but he was so cold to the point that he stared at the ground while walking

well that had lasted until he bumped into someone,
