Love Of The Rich Brat And The Proud Student
Introduction
Hi everyone! 🤗 This is my first time writing a chat story. I hope you guys like the story and any feedback is appreciated.
Before I start the story lets introduce the main characters.
Emily Jones (Main Female Lead) Holds a black belt in TaeKwonDo and loves to play badminton. Knows how to code and develops a game in her spare time. She is cold and reserved to everyone but is kind and carefree to her friends and family. Loves ice cream, having fun, friends and family. Hate bitchy/fake people, those who look down on her or use her for their own personal gain.
Jeong-hui (James) Kim. (Main Male Lead) Is the son of the richest man in the country and acts arrogant and cold. Assumes everyone tries to talk to him to ask favors from him, which he hates. He also hates fake people who have a hidden agenda, betrayal, and anything that makes him look weak. Has one older brother and one younger brother that he needs to fight with to inherit his father’s company. He likes sweet stuff but doesn’t want to be seen as weak so he secretly loves and eats them. Also loves his family but doesn’t know how to show it, so many assume that he doesn’t like them.
Background info on Emily and her father:
Two months before the big move, Emily and her team were taking part in a TaeKwonDo competition, facing their greatest and most challenging opponents. Emily was taking part in the sparring and forms portion of the competition. It was not her day. During the sparring competition she had injured her knee, but managed to win. Despite the pain she felt in her knee, she performed her form. However, in the last portion of her form where she does a double back flip, she does not land on her feet. She lands on her knee, the one she hurt in the sparring competition. She had to have two surgeries for her knee to be fixed, but ends up having to wear a cast on her leg for 3 months.
Note: Emily and her father move to South Korea because the ceo of the company her father works at asks him to be the Vice President. Emily’s mother left when Emily was a baby so it is only Emily and her dad.
First day of School
Teacher
Good morning students!
All the students say “Good Morning Teacher!”
Teacher
Before we start class today, I have an important announcement.
Teacher
We have a new student joining us. She is new to South Korea, so I expect everyone to be nice to her.
Teacher
Emily, you may come into the classroom.
As Emily slowly walks into the room all of the students were shocked to see her walking with crutches.
Everyone started to whisper and the room was filled with chatter.
Teacher
Okay, everyone quiet down. Emily why don’t you introduce yourself to the class.
Emily Jones
Hi. My name is Emily Jones. I moved here from the US.
Teacher
Okay. Umm why don’t you tell us some things you like to do?
Emily Jones
Ok. I like to play badminton and watching anime.
Teacher
Well does anyone have questions for Emily?
Classmate 1
What happened to your leg?
Emily Jones
I injured my knee during a competition 2 months ago.
Classmate 2
Why did you move here?
Emily Jones
My dad got transferred here.
Classmate 2
So your parents are not rich. How the hell did you even get into this school? This is a school for the kids of the rich families.
Note: the school that Emily attends is a exclusive private school that only rich kids can get into. Emily gets in because her father’s boss arranges it as it was him that caused Emily and her dad to come to South Korea.
Teacher
I don’t want to hear any of you guys saying stuff like that ever again.
Teacher
Emily you may go and sit in the empty seat in the back, next to Nick Yang.
Emily Jones
*walks to her desk and sits down*
Nick Yang is the son of the principal and one of the male lead’s best friends. Not good at studying (last in his class). Love to play video game and watching anime. Hates fake girls and people who talk down to him. Is loyal to his friends and gets crushes on girls easily.
Emily Jones
*ignores Nick and lays he head down to sleep*
Teacher
Okay class is dismissed. Get ready for your next class. Emily can you come to the teacher’s office with me.
Hi everyone. I hope you are enjoying the story so far. I have more updates to come and I promise I will introduce the male lead soon.
first meeting
Teacher
I called you hear to tell you that you have been placed in the class with students ranking at the bottom of their whole class.
Teacher
Since you transferred, you were not able to take the exam that will be used to place you in the correct class
Teacher
So the school has decided to use the results from the monthly exams to place you in the correct class
Teacher
What do you think?
Emily Jones
I don’t care which class I am placed in. *cold*
Teacher
It is important so talk it over with your dad and try your best in the exam.
Teacher
Also before I forget this is the curriculum that you will need to know for the monthly exams
Gives a thick packet of topics that might be on the exam
Teacher
You may go back to the classroom and for PE you will have to attend class but you are not expected to participate if you can’t
Emily returned to the class where she sees someone sitting in her chair
Emily walks over to her desk
Emily Jones
You are in my chair. Get up.
Jeong-hui (James) Kim
What? Who dares to tell me what to do?
Nick Yang
Haha James take it easy she is a new student. She doesn’t know about you
Emily Jones
Are you going to get up or not
James furiously turned around to face Emily. Then he sees the cast on her leg
Jeong-hui (James) Kim
Ohh I didn’t know you were a cripple. In that case I would have given you the chair.
Jeong-hui (James) Kim
Of course it would have been out of pity.
James goes closer to Emily’s face and whispers
Jeong-hui (James) Kim
*whispers* I will let off this time. Don’t ever talk to me like that. You don’t deserve to talk to me
James leaves the room in anger.
Nick follows James in a hurry to make sure James will not do anything her will regret later
Emily Jones
💭 I really hate this stupid school. I should tell daddy to enroll me in a normal school.
Emily Jones
💭 uggh when will break end. I just want school to end so that I can go home.
