It was dark night with heavy rainfall time was around 9.30 pm

me and my wife Jenny we both were coming back from our daily routine our office....

we are married since seven years but we don't have baby yet, it's because Jenny have some complications...

Though I am okay with it till she is with me...We have adopted one doggie Ruru...she is like our child now...

I came out of my thoughts when I heard Jenny's scream....and I halt my car with hard screech.....

(worried and looked at Jenny)

what?? What happened??

Jenny

th....there..(pointing towards road )

Jenny

(gulp) there is a child...that child came in front of our car(she started crying)

David

What???

I thought I hit a child...I hurriedly came out of the car..

this road passes by forest so at this time there are hardly few cars running on it...

I chose this road today to reach home early... because there is weather forecast of heavy rainfall with strong storm..

I am confused how can there will be a child on this road ..or it was just Jenny's hallucination?

Jenny

(came out of the car with trembling legs)

David

(looked at Jenny)

Where? there is no child here..(shrugged his shoulders)

Jenny

(cracked voice) but I saw him here ....

Just then I sensed someone hold my hand ..

that chilled hand seems to be of small child's hand...I turned back

it was a child he looked little scared and with teary eyes he was looking at me..

dadda... (said with soft but scared voice)

let's get in car first...

we all went in car..

Jenny took him on her lap and wiped his face and head....

(smile) hehehe momma..

(gently) baby what's your name?

Child

(looked at him and nod)

(while wiping his head) you don't have name?

(nod as no)

he is nearly 4 or 5 years old then why don't he talk?

David

(smile and ruffle his hair)

can you tell me where you stay? (asked gently)

okay so can you take us there?

okay...then I will drop you there...come on give me high five...

then we both gave High five to each other

and I started my car...

Jenny was holding him as if he was her own baby...

David

(looked at them and smile)

I was driving as per his instructions

he was showing me way for his home with his little hands....

as I went little further his eyes started blinking and sparkling with happiness ..

smile on his face was becoming more bright...

till now weather has became light,I think rain will stop now

but suddenly weather changed and I became like there will be strong storm like never before

might be because of heavy rain and wind...(exclaimed while looking out)

saying that I looked at that child , he was smiling weirdly....for a while I got goosebumps...

(shivered a little ,with shaking voice)

I gave Jenny a surprised look

now again that child started showing me where to go...

whole road was quiet and dark ,only our car was running in that stormy wind

I was driving as per his little hands gestures...I was enjoying his company so as Jenny...

(loudly) STOPPPPPP....

Jenny

(looked at him) You stay here?

Child

(nod happily while hugging Jenny)

it was really dark outside so I think to accompany him till his house doorsteps and give little lecture to his parents for their carelessness

I came out ... suddenly wind stopped and Street light power came....

I looked at front Bungalow and I literally freezed for a while....

my head felt little dizzy..

my legs started shaking and trembling...

I gulped my saliva because till now my throat was literally dried up..

(came out of car started running towards bungalow)

David

BUT ....BUT THAT'S MY HOUSE....(shout in shock)

then I looked at Jenny...but she was looking at that child and smiling

(shook Jenny's shoulder)

JENNY.....JENNY....

Jenny

(looked at David) Come honey let's go....our child is home...

(started walking behind him)

I don't know what's happening....how can a stranger become my child??

I was dropping him at his house..but that house is mine...

and What happened to this Jenny...has she gone out of her mind??

Jenny....we need to talk...

(looked back and grin)

LET'S TALK IN....OUR BABY IS HUNGRY....I HAVE TO MAKE DINNER FOR HIM...😀
