Her World

"Another Day....." Rising from bed before the sun even peeked from the horizon Alvara stood wobbly on her knees as she tried to recall the night before.

Flashing lights and the strong smell of alchohol was all she could remember before an aching pain crawled up her spine to her head making her groan loudly and thus waking her cat who once slept soundly beside her.

"Good morning Midnight." she croaked, earning a snort from her cat who in her view seemed to have rolled his eyes. "Keep your thoughts to yourself thank you very much." She could not help but talk back irritated.

Her alarm rung telling her that it was already 5:30 in the morning, not that she needed it since she was already awake before it rang.

"Oh shut it." She said as she slammed her hand on the off switch.

Yes she did have a rather odd habit of talking to everything animate or inanimate which always gained her a ton of raised eyebrows in public. She did her daily routine of brushing her teeth and reconsidered on a bath. She must've stunk so much that even her cat didn't dare come in the bathroom. It just sat there by the door frame giving her a disappointed look.

"What? I know it was stupid but I couldn't help but try going to a night club." She said as she brushed her teeth with foam flying to the floor. Her cat just Meowed so loud that she swear she heard him say "Wow" in the most sarcastic way possible.

With that her cat strutted away hiding beneath her bed as if the mere sight of her disgusted him, and he couldn't be more right.

Her hazel eyes looked more like muddy brown, her eyelids were rimmed red while her wavy black hair stood in all directions looking like a wool ball gone wrong.

"Yikes....I am never going to club ever again!"

she said to herself horrified of her own reflection but her cat just couldn't help but give a funny long meow which to her ear sounded like.

"You better make sure of it. I hate the smell."

"Sweetie Breakfast is ready!!!" her mom called from downstairs.

She swiftly did her must dos and rushed down the stairs making sure to sneak a few bills in her mom's bag.

You see my mother never knew I had a part time job as a waitress in a nearby restaurant called La Cusina Dragon I tried telling her since it would be a great way to help with the bills and a great way for me to escape the everyday repeating routine of life she just wouldn't have it saying that I should just finish my apprenticeship with my aunt who owned Boutique, but I didn't want that. Fashion wasn't my thing. I wanted to be a researcher who studied old books and artifacts ,discovering knew things every know and then and would keep her on her toes.

Cause right now nothing just seems to excite her. Just plain old mundane life...

Same old, same old.

"Bye Sweetie!"

Her mom chimed leaving.

"Take care" She replied.

Her phone rang which she answered without looking. She already knew who would call this early in the morning anyway.

"Good morning Aunt Tilda..."

"Good morning to you too Alvara. Now tell me about this clubbing you did last night. Was it fun sneaking out yes?" Her aunts voice was stern and cold clearly unpleased by her actions in which surprised Alvara greatly as to how her aunt knew about it.

"H-How...did yo-"

"I have my ways." Her aunt said plainly.

"Anywho you better be on your way since I have an important meeting this morning with Mr. Guidecelli and I need you to man the boutique."

"Sure No prob." I was already bored before the day even begun!

She cut the call and I lost my appetite.

"Midnight watch over the house while I'm gone okay!" I yelled to my cat who walked down the stairs and just stared at me like I was being ridiculous as always. Even I think I was ridiculous!

Like how on earth would a cat watch over a house! A dog maybe, but a cat like Midnight who did nothing but snooze by the window beside a pot of peppermint was just near impossible, but it wouldn't hurt to try right? So she kept on saying it before she leaves anyway.

She took a taxi and the moment she arrived her aunt greeted her by grabbing her by the elbow and dragging her to the store. She could hear her sneakers squeak against the pavement as she struggled to keep up with her aunt's long gaits.

She was admittedly short infact she only stood 5'2 while her aunt stood around 5'8 and looked like model despite being in her 40's!

"I have to go. Now be good and make sure to keep that darn dog Rupert away from my store. If he comes by tell him to piss off and threaten to call the cops if he doesn't. I will never sell my shop!" Her aunt disappeared into the very taxi she came with and sped of into the city. Leaving her speechless by the door with the multiple set of keys to the boutique dangling in her hands.

"What's got her in such a hurry?" Shrugging her aunt's strange behavior aside she turned to the door and realized that she had no idea which key to use! "Oh...why do you even have this many keys! You only have one door to the boutique!!!" She couldn't help but groan in frustration as she started to try the keys fumbling around as the noisy chiming only made her feel more irritated.

Until at last! After trying 10 different keys she finally managed to open the door!

And her day went on as always.

First came Ms. Persimmon who came with her Shitzu Fiona who she always wondered if it had legs for it never came out of the bag.

Ms. Persimmon was looking for another hat to wear at another gala which she left to Alice (an employee and the only other person in the Boutique with her) to deal with.

Ms. Persimmon was always well primmed, but also rather odd with her bright Yellow hair which was always placed in a bun on top of her head looking like a lemon ice cream swirl adorned with butterflies and pearls all around.

Then came Sir Herbert who only came by to leave flowers for her aunt. Can you believe that a man in his 30's was so swept by her aunt that despite being turned down multiple times was still so persistent to woe her aunt by bringing flowers of different arrangements with a new letter of love attached every other day!

Then Sir. Percy who bought another set of gloves which I've always wondered what for. The list of customers went on and the same familiar faces came through the door until it was half past noon when my aunt finally came back, with three tall men following behind, one in the same age group as her aunt who carried himself with the same regal manner as her aunt, the other seemed like a bodyguard with the cliche' black suite, dark glasses and earpiece in one ear, and lastly one who seemed to be few years older the me.

Instead of a suite like the older man who I think to be his father, he wore a beige low V-neck sweater which would have definitely shown his collarbone if not for his shoulder length wavy dark hair, the slim fit denims gave away his thin muscular build beneath the baggy top he had. The only formal thing he had on were his shoes and watch which just screamed Luxury to her face.

"Hottie..." Alice was now standing beside her which took her by surprise.

"Shush. New costumer keep it low. You don't want to overwhelm them with your overly bubbly character." I said in a hushed voice as I giggled at her pouted face.

"You're mean."

"Oh you know I was joking."

"I know." Alice then skipped off to who knows where while I ducked behind the cashier desk pretending to rearrange the receipts hoping that my aunt won't call me.

That is until Rupert came.

His World

"You called for me?"

His voice echoed in the dark office. He could pick-up a scent of wine in the air as the full moon's light came through the large glass windows of the office. Casting a shadow on his father's face as the electric flames behind the glass fireplace made shadows dance in the room.

"You are moving out son, they added the wolves in the search."

"Honestly why do they insist on having me marry their daughter. Haven't I made my point clear enough on our last meeting? Clearly calling them a family of *** kissers was not enough! They wouldn't have the status and acknowledgment of the Circle if not for their son's death. Who might I add was the only honorable person in their bloodline!" Nikolai's blood boiled at the very memory that his own voice hurt his ears.

"That was a careless move. And now they will have your head for that. Calling them as such infront of guests wasn't smart and very unlike you. Do pray tell what led you to such a foul mood that you completely lost your common sense!" His father was enraged slamming his fist on the desk as vials fell to the floor pouring their contents onto the bear fur beneath.

"What I did was nothing for I would have done something more if not for the treaty you signed. The Ferrer's were plotting on us, saying that with mother ill, their daughter would have to stand as the lady of the house once she marries into the family. Sick people they are, wanting more than they could ever chew. All they want is for their family to join in our ranks!" I retorted with great disgust.

"But that does not mean humiliating them was the way to finish it! You only made it worse." Giving out a long huff, tired, his father finished his drink in one go and went to grab another cup, pouring some wine he handed it out to his son. "One more drink together before you have to go...."

Nikolai declined and started walking towards the door. He didn't want to hear anymore. "I have tried everything in my power to lift your mother's curse and still to no use. She gets worse with each passing day....and now with you in this mess you have stirred...Nikolai,my son. You know my decision is to protect you and possibly find a way to decline their betrothal. But with the wolves added in the mix I fear that they no longer wish for their daughter to be married to you but wish you dead instead. If something were to happen to you boy there would be no one else to hold back the Flames of Regor."

Stopping dead in his tracks Nikolai knew his father's word held facts he could not ignore. Gritting his teeth in anger, he suddenly had a thirst for alchohol and went back to his father chugging the wine in one go and slamming the glass down in frustration.

The Ferrer's were indeed a bunch of ***-kissers, but also cunning snakes who's fangs lay bare to those who oppose them unafraid to use any means possible. Honeyed forked tongues they had to be able to get this much help from the wolves.

"Pack your belongings and have them shipped to this address."

Giving him a piece of paper his father sat looking at his own glass of wine swirling it around with a downcast glare.

"You want me to move to Edinburgh?"

Nikolai couldn't help but raise a brow at his father's place of choice. It wasn't a very low key place at all! The place was ridden with lower class Fayes and an annoying amount of vampires!

"A friend of mine will be hosting you there. She will make sure you are veiled until this is sorted." Looking at him his father suddenly inspected him from head to toe,and if there was anyone, anyone at all who could make him feel inferior it was his dad. For Nikolai held his father high and respected him greatly.

"And do something about your hair,it will give you away."

Then with a wave of his hand Nikolai was transported back to his room. The lights turned on as if it was giving him one last view.

Anger boiled in his veins as he felt as if he was insulted! He never was one to run. But he knew his father better than anyone, there was more to this than what his father let on. With a heavy haert he then packed his clothes by hand. Sure he could have used magic to get it done quicker but a part of him wanted to slack as if it would change anything. With the last of his belongings in his bag he zipped it close and conjured a packet which contained a glamour spell. Standing infront of his mirror and grabbing a handfull of the translucent powder he sprinkled it above him as spoke with clarity and intention.

"Copper to Coal; Green to Blue; Change my Hue into a new you. Hidden from their gaze your true form will now be erased."

Slowly his once long Copper hair turned to black and his light green eyes were swarmed with blue smoke. He could see light dance from inside the smoke as if coming to life, it went for his eyes. It stung, but for the spell to work he must endure. It took a few more seconds for the smoke to disperse, blinking, he couldn't help but hiss at the stinging pain in his eyes. He motioned to get rid of his family ring which was another dead give away but opted to transform it into an earring and placed it on his left ear.

"Still quite the piece of work you are."

His grandmother walked into his room, her walking stick was making small clicking sounds against the wooden floor. As usual his Grandmother had her hair in a high bun as strands of grey hair fell around her face, age had truly caught up with her and that was saying alot considering that she was now 112 years old.

"Don't flatter me Nana. You know how I feel about it." He playfully crunched his nose and rolled his eyes.

"Just speaking the truth lad. Now be good and bring this with you, this way I know where you are at all times."

It was a necklace,a mere black rope braided together with a single red stone along with one silver bead on each side beaded into it. Simple on the outside but he could sense the magic casted with it.

"Hurry now. Your father is waiting downstairs." He could tell his grandmother was on the verge of crying so he just shoved the necklace into his back pocket and gave his grandmother a quick peck on the cheek before swiftly going down the stairs and rushing to the living room. A lump formed in his throat feeling sad for once since his unexpected evacuation. He couldn't bear to see his Nana cry.

His black duffel bag was rather heavy considering the amount of stuff he brought with him, he had to make sure his foot was properly stable before taking another step down. Until his focus was broken when he heard the hushed voices of his father and a woman who's voice he didn't recognise.

"Thank you for this."

Said his father.

"Oh hush, it is the least I could do for and old friend."

He decided to eavesdrop a bit, peeking in between the 2nd floor and the stairs he gripped the railings tight as he placed most of his weight on his hands leaning forward with his head.

There with his father was a woman clothed in purple. Her long sleeves ended with ruffles on her wrist matched with a pencil skirt rimmed with identical ruffles around the rim. He knew she was older than she looked for he saw past the Age pacer spell the woman used. It was not uncommon for some wizards and witches to use it,infact it was as common as plastic surgery was to the normal humans, just safer and long lasting.

"Does he know?" The lady asked alarmed.

"No,and I think it is better that way."

his father solemnly replied.

This took him off-guard that his grip suddenly loosened making him loose his balance. He quickly conjured wind to aid him back upright but that caused a loud Wooosh making his presence known.

"I know you're there. Might as well come out." His father demanded sounding grumpy all of a sudden.

"Oh my have you grown indeed! The last time I saw you was when you were still five!" the woman exclaimed. Suddenly she pulled him in for hug then a strong scent of Lavender hit his nose, feeling an urge to sneeze he held it back as it would most definetly be rude. Luckily she let go and further gushed to his father about how he got more of his mother's side more than his father's side of the family.

He left them to talk and gazed out the window of their manor. The sun was barely peeking at the horizon as the last of the autumn breeze blew past the trees wh. He could even see his horse grazing on the grass and couldn't help but chuckle as he saw it mess the bed of Valerians again. He was sure their gardener would have a fit later on.

"We will have to change your name,no buts. From now on you will be Mikeal Guidecelli the son of my bussiness partner Mr. Guidecelli-your father- who lives in Italy. Your reason for staying would be that your father has applied you for scholarship in Windsor Colleges."

The woman said getting his attention as her hands fluttered about with every word.

"Excuse me,what?" He was appalled "First you make me change my appearance!" He said pointing at his father. "Then now you want me to change my name?! Alright what on earth is going on here?"

He new he was being unreasonable and probably sounded stupid but most of his anger was on the secrets his father kept from him.

"In time I will tell you,but for now please do as Matilda says and keep yourself as low profile as you can. Which means no late night clubbing young man." His father said sternly. Now it was his father's turn to look him in the eye to which he did not waver. He could only huff in frustration.

"Let us go then." the woman who he now knew as Matilda chimed and was overly cheerful about this seemingly unfazed by the passed tension between him and his father which rather irritated him.

They set on foot to the hill just a few miles away from the manor. There stood a statue of the greek god Hermes looking green from all the years passed as rust ate away at the statue's feet.

"Aprire " His father spoke then soon a light emerged from the statue stretching and forming itself into a blue vortex right infront of them. Stepping into the portal they walked on air with nothing but the same blue light swirling surrounding them as lighting bolts went crashing and crackling as it hit one another. Soon a white dot surfaced beside him he reached out to it but Matilda stopped him.

"Not yet." she said pulling his hand away from the dot. A red one appeared infront of them this time he was pulled,he could see his father heading for the dot too as he felt Matida grip his forearm tight.

"Hold on!" She yelled as the crackling intensified, light flooded his eyes making him wince, struggling to adjust at the sudden brightness. He was now on solid ground wobbling on his feet.

He could here people talking, as cars honked and zoomed around. Then a loud succession of musical bells rang,it was noon.

"That taxi I called should be here any minute now." Matilda said finally letting him go. By now his sight gradually came back as he surveyed their surroundings.

They were infront of a Cathedral. The wind was rather chilly but the sky was clear so he knew it wasn't going to rain.

A few more seconds later a man inside a taxi hollered from the roadside.

The ride was silent until they came to a stop infront of a boutique.

"Tilly's Boutique" He read the bright pink sign aloud,as he closed the door behind him. It was a rather small shop situated at the corner and stuck beside many more shops to its right. Boxy and transparent as it had huge glass windows all around.

Walking in, a bell chimed overhead announcing their arrival.

There he saw rows and rows of dresses and suites but what caught his attention was the crest above the cashier wall.

A Blue shield with a white crow, its feathers were tufted around its head looking like crown as beneath its feet was what seemed to a black bull horn. Silver was used to outline its talons while its wings were spread out in flight.

"Ah Matilda darling nice to finally see you again." his gaze was torn away from the crest as he turned to see a man dressed in a black polo and brown squarepants come in the boutique.

Turning his gaze to Matilda he saw fury cloud her eyes as she muttered something under her breath before turning around sharply that her heels screeched against the marble floor.

"You couldn't have picked a better time to intrude do you Rupert?" He could see that this woman was clearly at the end of her rope, she gritted her teeth as her hands closed into a fist so tight that her knuckles turned white.

This was not looking good, specifically for the man.

In which they meet

'Why does he have to be here now!?"

Alvara thought to herself, her hands sweaty all of a sudden. It wasn't that she was afraid of Rupert. Heaven's no! She would pummel the man if she could! It was just that she was never on her right mindset when new people come around the boutique that she feared that she might do something stupid, making her hate herself for a month or so again!

Taking a deep breath, she urged herself to crawl out from the counter and felt her cheek hurt from the fake smile she put on. She could now see that her aunt was furious beyond words, she had to do something about this, and quick!

"Rupert!" She called but her voice cracked, but even so, atleast it diverted their attention to her, effectively stopping her aunt from exploding, and yet she also regretted it. Too many eyes were watching her.

"I-I think"

'Shit! She was having a mental breakdown! This is all messed up!'

Not wanting to make more of a fool of herself she gathered herself and marched forward. She decided to not say a single word as her voice would most definitely betray her and instead do what needed to be done.

Her aunt was surprised as she knew her niece well. Infact she expected Alvara to stay hidden because of their guests.

She kept on walking putting one foot infront of the other. Everyone stayed quiet looking at what she would do next, she was now at arms reach to Rupert,When she reached out, grabbing the man by the collar dragging him out of the boutique and flung him unto the streets.

Now that she was out of the door and out of their guests prying eyes she breathed in as true courage flooded her veins. She looked to Rupert staring him down head to toe and she must've looked intimidating since he stumbled on his feet upon her gaze.

"Go away and never come back! If I ever see you again near my aunt's boutique I will no longer be as patient as I am today. Good day!" And just like that Rupert went on his way, feigning his anger while dragging his sorry *** with him.

Dusting her hands she went back inside the boutique only to see her aunt and the guests look at her dumbfounded.

Her face heated up in an instant that she knew her cheeks had probably turned red by now.

Nobody spoke for a few seconds before her aunt finally broke the ice.

"Well umm, this is my niece Alvara. Alvara this is Mr. Guidecelli and his son Mikeal. He will be here as an exchange student in your school, with us being his foster family." Matilda chuckled at her niece's horrified face. "for the meantime."

she added.

As if that would calm Alvara's nerves!

This tall handsome guy would be with them for the school year! Matilda gently tugged Alvara breaking her out of her frenzied thoughts when she felt his eyes on her, she couldn't help but do the same. It was quite possibly a staredown which she knew meant literally for the guy since she barely reached his shoulders!

He had a thin chiseled face, with a prominent brow bone which casted shadows on his Cobalt blue eyes. She saw something glimmer on his ear but couldn't make out what it is for his long black hair covered it.

"So how old are you?"

She suddenly blurted out.

'Real nice way to remember your first meet Alvara. Sure ask him his age!!!'

Mentally scolding herself she stood frozen in place the guy was surprised too, but a faint grin showed that he was slightly amused.

"I'm 20." He replied, his deep voice rang in her ears like a melody. Then he spoke again. "How about you my lady?"

"M-My" she was taken aback by his sudden use of words. Flustered she cleared her throat and looked away, his charming smile was too distracting for her to even make out a single word!

"19." She said plainly trying to control her pounding heartbeat. She felt her hands sweat again as she realized that she had been hanging on to her aunt for dear life!

'This was embarassing! '

"Well then, excuse me for I have reciepts to list down, shoes to hang, dresses to organize, Oh the list goes on!" She sounded awkward, her words coming out all jumbled and wrong as she waved them goodbye disappearing to the back of the shop.

Finally by herself she breathed out a sigh of relief. She switched the light on to her left illuminating the messy state of her auntie's studio. So she decided to clean up than go back outside.

Neatly rolling the cloths, pulling stray threads, picking up countless sequins and beads on the floor. She didn't even know how much time has passed until Alice came.

"I leaving now." Aliced poked her head into the room with her sling bag hanging on her shoulder.

"Its that time already?!" She replied shocked at how fast time flew when your occupied.

"Uh yeah...." raising a brow Alice let herself in and helped her carry a mannequine clothed with a nearly finished ball gown. It just needed a long draping sleeve to match its right one and sequins on the skirt to complete the image of a poison Ivy which went from the waist down to its rim and all around.

"This is heavy!"

"You can say that again! Might wanna ask Matilda what this dress is made out of It's as heavy as carrying my uncle's Great dane!" Both of us were winded out.

"Well, See ya tomorrow Alvy!"

Waving back at Alice she looked out the window to see the busy streets of Edinburgh. It was almost night and the city was coming to life.

Her aunt left a few moments after she hid so she was left alone to close the boutique. With everything secured she decided to walk home and stop by at a bakery to buy some bread.

All was going well until a group of people passed by her. There was atleast 5 of them, hooded and alert with eyes scouring the streets as if they were looking for someone. One of them bumped her with nothing short of a sorry, this person glared at her which gave her a good view under the hoodie. It was a woman. She had a tatoo which looked alot like a wolf with its jaws open wide, ready to eat her right eye.

All she could do was back away as a chill ran down her spine. Something told her to stay as far away as she could from them. They carried themselves with such menace that people started parting as they walked by. She couldn't tear her gaze from them though and as if the woman sensed her staring she looked back again this time Alvara thought that she was probably tired from all the work and was seeing things! For she could swear that the woman's eyes turned to yellow with slits for a pupil looking very much like a cobra's. Stunned her mouth fell to a gape as she saw the group retreat.

She wasn't that sure of herself anymore and decided to take a taxi home instead. The bread can wait till tomorrow or better yet she could bake some by the weekend.

The ride was quiet. One kid almost got hit by a car though, he was trying to catch his puppy who ran to the roads, thankfully a traffic enforcer was there and stopped the incoming cars on time.

She felt the taxi take a sharp left and saw the block of flats where her mother bought their own flat on the 2nd floor last year. Thanks to her mother's promotion as Head Manager to a food joint franchise they were able to afford it. If not then she and her mom would still be living with her Aunt Matilda.

Paying the driver with Gcash, she remembered the time when her mother had first brought her here. She could remember herself being so happy that she was clapping and jumping at the same time. Dashing around the flat as she rejoiced in having her own room!

Chuckling at the memory, the elevator bell rang telling her that she has reached the second floor.

She was so happy and thankful of the current run of things but she still couldn't shake the feeling of wanting more. Maybe something exciting, like taking a trip all by herself. That would surely be interesting.

As she reached for the key in her wallet her cat Midnight greeted her in the hallway.

Shocked as to how her cat was out she picked him up by his front legs and instinctively checked for injuries.

"Are you alright? How are you out here?"

Her cat just looked at her cutely with his deep olive green eyes. Placing a paw on her nose as she inspected his under belly.

Le chat

'What do you think you doing human?! That is private!'

Her cat meowed in protest pushing her nose repeatedly.

' He didn't seem to be injured, very perky too. How strange.....'

Opening the door to her flat,Midnight immediately ran inside going to the direction of his litter box. Poor cat was probably holding it in for a long time.

Midnight was a very sweet cat in his own little way. He always had something to say which made her love the little guy even more.

"I'll leave you to do you bussiness then." she chuckled as her cat howled from inside his hooded litter box.

Her arms ached from all the cleaning she had done back at the boutique,so she let herself down unto their single couch enjoying its familiar texture and softness, she sank deeper with a groan.

"Now this is a chair."

She was on the brink of snoozing when she heard a chair move in the kitchen.

' I didn't know mom would be back this early...' brows furrowed in confusion she slowly went to the kitchen only to find no one there, but an empty plate with residual spaghetti sauce on the island. Strange indeed for she did not remember any spaghetti in the fridge and her mother never liked ordering fast food. It was only for dire circumstances that she allows it. Ironic how she works for a fast food joint though.

Her stomach squirmed as she remembered what her aunt said back at the boutique.

"Mikeal....stay......with..."

she stuttered, struggling to catch her breath all of a sudden. Anxiety flooded her brain as she thought of how she would do her day to day things with a guy in the house......

There was only one bathroom too!!!

She mentally screamed, her thoughts flying all over the place.

Until she heard footsteps behind her.

Turning around she saw him,the same Cobalt blue eyes met her hazel ones as a blush slowly crept its way to her cheeks.

"Y-You're here?!" She sounded like she was choking! "Nice to see you again."

She should just shut her mouth, she thought.

"Yeah you too." With a smile he went past her and walked towards the living room where he made himself at home by grabbing the remote and turning the television on.

Shaking her head she still couldn't belive her eyes! School was starting in 2days and if her friends found out about this she was sure to be bombarded with questions.

"Is there something you want to tell me?"

He spoke looking at her and muting the tv. She could tell that he was amused again, the longer she stood there speechless the wider his grin became until it turned into a full blown smirk.

Unexpectedly, Alvara felt irritated and wanted to slap that smirk right off his face. 'He knew exactly what effect he had on me! This cheeky bastard!'

She shook her head, fury replacing her bashfullness. Crossing her arms infront of her she spoke with authority.

"Nothing at all, just wondering how you got in and why you threw my cat out."

She was proud of herself for not stuttering. She held her composure and maintained eye contact. Taken aback by her sudden boldness he stood up and walked towards her. She wasn't about to falter now, so she stood he ground even when he was so close and less than an arms length to her.

"My apologies. I didn't mean to throw your cat out. He was just being annoying and nibbling at my clothes while I unpacked." he shrugged ,yet still smirking.

This infuriated her that she pointed her finger at him and spoke.

"You are but a guest, Midnight has more right than you have to stay here and if you do happen to disagree with one another I assure you that it will be you at the other side of that door!"

His smirk was replaced with shock as his mouth formed into an *O*.

"Is that so?" He replied pretending to be hurt. Dropping his act he took a step back and shook his shoulders, face blank. All of a sudden the playfulness in his eyes dimmed like a dying candle. "Fine with me." he said plainly and walked away. He retreated to the room that was once empty and filled with boxes as storage, with his back towards her, she couldn't help but feel guilty of the words she said to him.

Her anger died down as his door slammed shut. It was impolite of her to shout at a guest and she doesn't even know his story, and yet here she was forgetting her manners.

"Hmph....oh well, what's done is done. And he deserved it too."

Suddenly a feeling of guilt washed over her as she walked back to her room, looking back to his door one last time she released another sigh before going in.

But then an idea suddenly popped in her head!

She hated feeling guilty even when she was partly to blame. And living under the same roof for a long time with grudges against each other wasn't all that appealing so she decided to make the first move. She could only hope that thay would get into an agreement by the end of this.

Going back into the kitchen she tied her apron around her waist and pulled her hair up into a bun. Clipping her bangs back with a bobby and she was all set.

"Here we go." She said heading for the fridge while cracking her knuckles.

This had better work.
