Yao Yue smiled as she arrived at the gates to Yun Tian Di. Today was the first time she'd ever gone to another sect to listen to their lessons, and she couldn't contain her excitement. She took another step towards the gate when two disciples appeared and blocked her path. Yao Yue quickly took a step back to avoid colliding against them.
"Who are you, and what is your purpose here?" one demanded, pointing his sheathed sword at her.
Yao Yue bowed her head respectfully. "I am Yao Yue of the Mo Sect, here to listen to the lessons of the Tian Sect."
The other disciple raised an eyebrow in suspicion. "Mo Sect? How on earth would a disciple from the Mo Sect be invited here?"
"If you don't believe me," she pulled out an invitation from the Tian Sect, "this is the invitation that I received."
The disciple took it, and glanced through its contents. "Fine, let me report this to my sect leader." he said after he finished, handing the invitation back to Yao Yue. "Yun Jin, watch her carefully."
"Understood, shixiong."
Yao Yue smiled at Yun Jin who still glared at her suspiciously.
"Did you bring anything dangerous with you?" He demanded.
She shook her head. "But if you don't believe me and want to search my body, I'd gladly take off my clothes for you to look through."
Yun Jin's face turned bright red at her words. "Wh...what the hell are you saying, you shameless woman!"
"How is that being shameless? If you believe that someone is hiding something, don't you have to search their body? And wouldn't it be easier for someone to take off their clothes before searching?"
"I... i mean that's true... but...but you don't have to say it like that!"
"My apologies, I'll be more careful next time." she smiled. "So does that mean you do believe that I'm not hiding anything?"
"I...i never said that..."
Yao Yue then began taking off her clothes, much to the horror of Yun Jin.
"Wa-wait, what are you doing!?"
"I'm taking off my clothes so you can search me."
He immediately grabbed her hands, stopping her. "Don't...don't! I... I believe you, I believe you alright? Just... Just don't take off your clothes!"
"Yun Jin, what are you guys doing?"
Both he and Yao Yue turned to see Yun Jin's shixiong looking away from them. Yun Jin quickly took his hands off of hers before stepping away as Yao Yue redid her clothes.
"Miss Yao, welcome to our Yun Tian Di." Yun Jin's shixiong said, still looking away. "Our sect leader invites you to our lesson hall, please come with me."
Yao Yue nodded, before smiling at Yun Jin. "May we meet again, Childe Yun."
She walked through the gates next to Yun Jin's shixiong, before they headed off to the lesson hall.

"Sect Leader, Miss Yao Yue from the Mo Sect has arrived." Yun Jin's shixiong said, bowing his head towards Tian QiuYan.
Tian QiuYan nodded his head. "Thank you, Bai Lei. You may leave now."
He left, glancing one last time at Yao Yue who got onto her knees. "I, Yao Yue of the Mo Sect, greet Leader Tian QiuYan. Thank you for inviting me here, and my apologies for arriving late. I had a little bit of a problem getting here, and I'm willing to accept any sort of punishment for my tardiness."
"There will be no need for that." Tian QiuYan answered, waving his hand. "Who's ever heard of punishing someone on their first day of lessons? Please take a seat."
"Thank you, Sect Leader Tian."
Yao Yue got up before walking to the desk closest to her, next to a young man from the Lin Sect. She smiled at him in greeting, to which he returned nervously before looking away. Yao Yue looked around to see that every one of the students looked apprehensive with her presence there, which was understandable. She was from the Mo Sect afterall, the sect that had once tried to take over the world only to be defeated by the unity of the other six sects. Twelve years have passed since that event and the Mo Sect hasn't shown their face ever since, leading everyone to believe that the sect had been disbanded and disappeared forever. This was the first time anyone has ever heard of the Mo Sect appearing at all.
"Since Yao Yue just arrived, let's go over the rules of the Tian Sect again."
An audible groan echoed throughout the room along with a couple glares sent towards Yao Yue. Realizing the displeasure of her peers, she quickly sent up a small black signal. Everyone looked at her in confusion at her action, while Tian QiuYan smiled.
"What is it, Yao Yue?" he asked.
She stood up and bowed her head. "There won't be any need to go over the rules of Tian Sect for me. Before I arrived, I went through the Mo Sect library and memorized all ten thousand rules."
"Ten...ten...ten thousand!?" The young man from the Lin Sect next to her gasped.
"If Sect Leader Tian doesn't believe me, I can recite them to you."
Tian QiuYan laughed. "No need, I believe you. However there have been some changes to the rules, there's only one thousand and two hundred rules now. Also, we found that sending signals as small as the one you just did takes too much energy to perform. A simple raise of your hand will do."
"Thank you, Sect Leader Tian. Have there been any additions to the rules that weren't a part of the original ten thousand?"
"No, only ones that were taken out." Tian QiuYan then turned to look at the other disciples. "You all should learn from Yao Yue. If you had all read the rules beforehand, we wouldn't've wasted so much time going over them. Now, let's start class!"
Yao Yue stretched as she walked out of the lesson hall. Although the class was about two hours long, she had fun listening to the history of the Tian Sect and about its first sect leader Tian WuLai.
"What is Sect Leader Tian thinking, letting a member of the Mo Sect listen to the lessons here?" she heard a young woman from the Feng Sect say to another woman from the Yang Sect.
"I know," the other woman agreed. "Although they've laid dormant for so many years, who knows what they've been planning. Maybe that Yao woman is a spy for the Mo Sect."
Another woman from the Yang Sect joined in, "No matter the case, we should be weary of her. She's bad news."
"Don't...don't...don't listen to...to them speak...speak nonsense!" a young man from the Huo Sect said to Yao Yue as he walked next to her.
She raised an eyebrow. "Are you not scared of me?"
He shook his head. "On...on the contrary I...i think you're....you're pretty cool!" he then bowed his head in greeting. "I...i'm Huo Ping of...of the Huo Sect."
"Yao Yue of the Mo Sect, nice to meet you."
Huo Ping opened his mouth to say something back when an angry voice called his name.
"Huo Ping, what on earth are you doing!" a young man with similar features to Huo Ping yelled. "Get back here!"
Huo Ping looked back at the caller, before bowing his head towards Yao Yue. "My...my apologies, my brother...brother calls me."
She nodded as he hurried off to where his brother was, who slapped him in the head. Yao Yue watched as Huo Ping's brother berated him, probably telling Huo Ping to stay away from Yao Yue as far as possible. She sighed thinking, there goes another chance of befriending someone.
"Can you move, you're blocking the path." a cold voice behind her said, interrupting her thoughts.
Yao Yue immediately got out of the way and turned to see who it was. A young man of the Tian Sect walked by without giving her another glance. Despite the cold look on his face, Yao Yue noticed his familiar warm eyes. Almost as if she knew him or someone related to him.
"Excuse me," Yao Yue called. "Could you happen to be related to someone of the Mo Sect?"
The young man stopped before sending a glare towards her. "What nonsense are you spouting on about."
"Your eyes-" she then stopped. "Sorry, forget I said anything."
Yao Yue turned away and began walking off, slightly embarrassed. Off in the distance, she saw Yun Jin at which she smiled.
"Childe Yun!" she called, walking over.
Hearing her voice, he immediately began walking away from her. Yao Yue frowned at his response, before coming up with a quick idea.
"Childe Yun, wait for me! I need help!"
He didn't show any acknowledgement that he had heard her and continued to walk even faster.
"If you don't help me, you're breaking rule 105!"
That caused him to stop, allowing Yao Yue to finally catch up to him.
Yun Jin slowly turned around to face her. "Miss Yao, how may I help you?"
"Well since I just arrived," she nervously rubbed the back of her neck with a smile. "Could you please show me where the dormitories are?"
He nodded his head. "Come with me then."
"Thanks so much!"
They began walking off together side by side, when Yao Yue saw the young man from the Tian Sect that she had spoken to earlier.
"Childe Yun, who is that?"
He turned his head. "That's Tian Ying, son of our Sect Leader Tian QiuYan."
Yao Yue caught Tian Ying's eye, causing her to smile at him while he just glared at her.
"Miss Yao, did you do something to piss him off?" Yun Jin asked, noticing his glare.
She laughed, scratching her face nervously. "I may have asked him if he was related to someone of the Mo Sect."
He immediately froze, before turning around in fear. "What...what did you ask him?" Yun Jin asked nervously.
Noticing this Yao Yue asked, "Is there something wrong?"
"No, no, not at all." he shook his head before he continued walking. "Why did you ask him?"
Yao Yue watched his eyes carefully. "I don't know," she shrugged, "I felt that his eyes were familiar. Do you know anything about-"
"No...not at all! I don't...don't know anything about...about-"
"There you are, Yun Jin!"
Both he and Yao Yue turned to see Bai Lei jogging over, panting.
"We still have to do that thing, remember?" Bai Lei reminded, grabbing Yun Jin's arm.
A struck of realization hit him as Yun Jin nodded. "Let's go, shixiong." he quickly turned to look at Yao Yue. "My apologies, Miss Yao. The dormitories are up ahead. Just keep straight and you'll see it."
"Thank you-"
Before she could finish, both Yun Jin and Bai Lei hurried off. Yao Yue frowned at their actions. What could it be that was so important? she wondered.
Before she began to head off in the direction of the dormitories she heard Yun Jin say, "Thanks so much, shixiong. If you had arrived any later, I would have-"
"Don't say it, we're not out of ears distance yet."
Yao Yue smiled. "I guess there is something connecting that Tian Ying to the Mo Sect." she paused. "I can't wait to find out what that is. After all, nothing can escape the eyes of the Mo Sect."
Yao Yue turned onto her side as she lay down on the bed of her room. It was already past midnight, but she still couldn't sleep. There was something off about this night, she could feel it. The sense of uneasiness was almost unbearable.
Soon her suspicions came true when she heard someone slowly breathing outside of her door. Yao Yue immediately shut her eyes just as someone slowly pushed open her door. The person was dressed in all black slowly creeping into the room, trying to be as quiet as possible. In their right hand, there were a few silver needles while in their left, there was a small bottle. The person slowly crept closer and closer to Yao Yue's sleeping form and got ready to prick her with a needle, when suddenly she grabbed the person's wrist.
Yao Yue quickly threw the person onto her bed, pinning them down against the wooden mattress. She slapped the needles out of the person's hand and let them scatter onto the ground.
"Who are you, and what is your purpose here." Yao Yue demanded, pulling down the black mask that was covering the man's face.
The man stared at her surprised before he quickly closed his eyes tightly, making her realize what he was about to do. She immediately punched him in the chest, causing him to open his mouth and groan. She quickly forced her right index finger into his mouth, preventing him from biting either a poison tooth that was in his mouth, or his tongue to commit suicide.
"Don't even think about it." Yao Yue whispered, a deadly tone in her voice. "Both death and escape aren't something so easily reached when you're against the Mo Sect."
The man's eyes widened at her words. "M...moh S...shect...? You...!"
At that moment Yao Yue's doors were busted open, revealing Tian Ying standing there with his sword drawn. Both Yao Yue and Tian Ying locked eyes, staring at each other in surprise. After all, she was still in her white inner garment and nothing else. She was, in a way, just *****.
Taking this moment of distraction, the man quickly bit down as hard as he could on the finger that was in his mouth. Yao Yue let out a pained hiss, instinctively retracted her finger and pulled away from him, allowing the man to push her off of him. The man then bolted off of the bed, and ran to escape from the nearest window.
"Stop right there!" Yao Yue cried, throwing her left hand towards fleeing the man.
A rope immediately flew out of her left sleeve and quickly coiled itself tightly around the man. He struggled against the rope and got ready to commit suicide again, when the rope got in between his teeth too.
"I already told you," Yao Yue hissed, shaking her finger. "Both death and escape aren't easily reached when you're against the Mo Sect. Also, that rope is a magical artifact, you're not going to escape from this unless I allow it."
The man glared at her, but showed no signs of any other answer and instead just sat down dejectedly.
Yao Yue then turned to look at Tian Ying, who was looking away from her with a small blush on his face. "Childe Tian, is there something that you need from me?" she asked, getting into a more comfortable position on her bed.
He coughed, nodding. "I...i came for...for the man."
Finally realizing why he was so embarrassed, Yao Yue pulled on her black overcoat that was hanging over her bed post. "Well I'm done with him, so you can take him now."
Tian Ying nodded and walked over grabbing the rope that was still tied around the man. He dragged the man on his feet and began to head out of the room.
"Wait one second." Yao Yue walked over and cast a quick spell on the man. "There, now no one can murder him without me undoing this spell."
Tian Ying gave her a skeptical look to which she replied, "It's a Mo Sect secret, don't question it. If you don't believe me, you can try it out now."
He just nodded and began to walk off again.
"Wait a second!"
"What do you want?" he demanded, slight agitation echoing throughout his voice.
"Do you know where I can get some alcohol?"
Tian Ying looked like he was absolutely done with her. "Drinking alcohol is forbidden-"
"I know, I know, rule 243 right? It's not to drink, for this." Yao Yue held her still bleeding finger out towards him. "I need to disinfect it so it doesn't fester."
Realizing the actual meaning behind her request, he nodded. "I'll have someone bring you everything you need for your wound. Is there anything else you need before I go."
Yao Yue shook her head. "Thank you, Childe Tian." she bowed her head as he left.
She walked back to her bed, took a few deep breaths, before finally letting out a muffled scream. Her finger was in so much pain, that she was almost certain that that man had broken the bone in her finger by how hard he had bitten it. Yao Yue touched it gingerly, wincing by even the slightest touch. Sure enough, the bone had been broken.
"Damn it," she mumbled quietly, careful to not let anyone hear her. "How the hell am I supposed to wrap and take care of this... I can't even deal with touching this without feeling all this pain. Oh god, I'm screwed..."
