A tragic life, that's how Isaiah's life has been so far. His father and mother were killed.

He wanted to die too because he missed his parents so much but he stopped his urge to suicide because of his younger brother and became an assassin after brutal training.

He had no problem about money now that he is a professional assassin. Isaiah thought they could finally enjoy a life without killing anyone after he save up a bit more money to live a comfortable life.

But his brother has suffered from a major injury which has shattered his magic circle. He can do magic no more but that isn't all his worries are about.His brother is in his death bed.

'He can't be saved' is what all the doctors who have examined his brother, Claude have conveyed so far but he didn't loose his hope and called for a well known doctor from kingdom of Darkness.

"Doctor Eleana, How is his condition? Can he be... saved?" Isaiah's voice quivered slightly while he asked the doctor.

"His magic circle is broken as you would have already noticed, his legs suffered a tremendous blow and the tissues have ruptured, his left eye has been stuck with a knife, his ears have been cut. His stomach has been stabbed with a rusty knife and It's quite deep. It's a miracle hat he is still alive which I'm guessing is because of his very powerful magic which shielded him at the last moment. He can be saved but.." The doctor trailed her sentence hesitating to continue.

"Is there a way to save him!? Please tell me! I will do anything to make him stay alive" Isaiah pleaded.

He knew very well that his brother would rather kill himself than live without magic but Claude is all Isaiah has. He is not strong enough to continue to live after his last ray of light dies.

"Have you heard about the gem of regeneration ?"

"No"

"Well, its not surprising that you don't. It's in the possession of His Majesty, the king of kingdom of Darkness. If you can get that gem and use it on your brother, then he can regain his lost part and completely cure, he can also regain his magic core"

Isaiah remained quite. He really wants to save his brother.

"Thank you, I'll take care of the rest"

After sending off Doctor Eleana, Isaiah sat on the edge of the bedwhere Claude was laying on.

"Sweet dreams Claude. I'll cure you very soon"

Isaiah kissed Claude's forehead and went to take a bath in the stream nearby. After scrubbing all the dirt away from his skin, his skin looked soft and smooth.

Not realising that there is someone staring at him shrouded by the moonlight, Isaiah came out of the stream. After he put on his pant, a figure covered by a black clock jumped down from a tree.

Isaiah became alert and immediately took his drager and stood in his fighting stance. That man's face was hidden under his cloack but Isaiah managed to see his blazing red eyes.

"Too beautiful..want to break you.. meet you soon " The man in the black cloack mumbled and walked away.

Baffled by the ridiculous words, Isaiah threw his dragger aiming at that man's neck but it was caught by the unknown man. He turned and removed his hood.

Isaiah was mesmerized by the man standing opposite to him under the soft glow of the moonlight he looked at the most handsome man he has ever seen with red hair and red eyes. He was so handsome to the point of it being unbelievable.

The red eyed man burnt the dragger to ashes in seconds and continued to walk away after smirking at Isaiah.

'Just how powerful is he to burn down my magic dragger? It's strength is 3/4 th of my strength altogether'

Isaiah gulped and immediately left the stream. He has always been the most powerful among the assassins he has known so far and even stronger than the common magic folks who are named for their strong magic strength yet this guy destroyed his powerful dragger in seconds..

'It's better to not get involved with him'

Isaiah wanted to use magic to teleport but that would tire him out later after reaching the kingdom of darkness and he would end up loosing more than half of his magic and it would take a copule of days for him to restore his magic completely so, he just decided to ride a horse.

The journey to kingdom of darkness takes about 15 days by horse, he took all the necessary things with him but tried his best to make his luggage as small as possible.

Before starting his travel, he requested his Aunt, Maria to take care of his younger brother. Isaiah wasn't very worried because he knows that his Aunt cared a lot about his younger brother. In fact, she was like a mother to Isaiah and Claude. He completely vacated his house by the suggestion of his aunt and entrusted Claude to Maria.

On the eight day of his journey, Isaiah decided to stay at an inn. He entered into a medium sized inn and went to his allocated room. After a warm bath in the public bath, he climbed down the stairs to eat lunch.

Isaiah always prefered to eat food only when it cooled down so he just let his meal cool.

A server in the inn headed towards Isaiah and said,

"Your food will get cold if you leave it to cool like that"

'That's what I'm trying to do..'

Isaiah stared at the server. She was very hot with blonde hair and a busty figure.

'Totally my type' Isaiah thought and smirked.

"Lady, I prefer my meal when it's cool but I can make an exception and eat it now if you feed me"

"Such a flirt" The blonde lady said and sat on the opposite chair.

"May I know your name beauty?"

"You may not. Do you mind me asking this Mister the purpose of coming to Hilren town at this period ?"

Isaiah was after all an assassin and he prefered to keep his identity secretive and his purpose as well.

"I'm a magician and I heard that the Kirein town has a secretive cave with lot of high grade magical herbs" he lied.

"I see. Didn't you hear about the recent news about Kirein town? Actually it's not surprising that you didn't, now that I observe your attire it's surely from the kingdom of Blaze isn't it? Let me warn you, Do not go anywhere near the kingdom of darkness"

"Would this beautiful lady mind explaining the reason?"

Not responding to the flirty comment the blond lady continued, "As you might have already heard, the kingdom of Ice and the kingdom of darkness are in a war and all the small towns near the capital city of both the kingdom, Ice and darkness are severely damaged. Soon, I'm guessing that it will be Hilren town's time too. Thats why young man there are few to almost no people around"

'Surely, I did hear about the war as it's a big news. I think I should rush to the capital as soon as possible since the king is in the war period it will be easier to steal the gem when he is not in his palace'

"Thank you for letting me know about this, young lady" Isaiah winked at the Blondie and prepared to set off from the town after eating.

"Your Majesty, we have thoroughly investigated but there isn't an ounce of clue as to where he is right now. We managed to find his Aunt and younger brother but-"

A chilly pressure made the reporting soldier to tremble with fear like a deer in front of a lion.

"But? My patience is limited"

"His aunt has dementia and she doesn't seem to remember where he went. His younger brother is in his deathbed.."

"If you don't bring him in front of me in thirty days then I'll behead you along with your comrades"

The kneeling soldier started to cold sweat.

'If I kill your Aunt and your brother will you come back? Don't make me wait my feisty cat'

Only after reaching town Kirein did Isaiah notice that the situation is grave. There wasn't a single human being there. The houses were burnt and a suspicious black liquid was spattered all over the place which is corrosive.

Isaiah went closer to examine the black substance. It was a trick which is only able to be accomplished by dark magic novices and other higher rank magicians of the kingdom of darkness but what disturbed him is the fact that the dark magic was directed to a town of their own kingdom.

There were no trace of ice magic here. If it were, at least Isaiah can brush this off as the tragedy during war.

There was a sound of horde of horses approaching and Isaiah immediately climbed up a tree and observed the people below after they came to a halt.

"Your Majesty, this is the second town which has been eradicated. Should we destroy more towns and villages?" A handsome man asked another man with a black mask covering half of his face which Isaiah assumed to be a king of a kingdom.

"No need. Spread rumours and make the residents residing in all the other towns, villages and cities of kingdom of darkness and Ice believe that it is the scheme of that white haired man" A smirk was smeared on the king's face. He had enticing long black hair and deep purple eyes.

"Yes, your majesty"

There was a flock of birds chirping in this tree and Isaiah swinged his hand to reach to the top of the tree which caused the nest to fall after being touched by him.

The bunch of people became alerted and pointed their weapons. Isaiah could take down all the others with probably few minor injuries but he doubted if he can take down the King because the Kings are always the strongest among the people of their kingdom.

So, Isaiah decided to run. He jumped from tree to tree with a lightening speed but was followed by the handsome man who almost suppressed his speed. But, Isaiah knew that he wantedly slowed down his speed and the man's motives were unknown to him.

Isaiah took a detour and ran perpendicular to that man but ended up getting blocked by the King himself. Isaiah launched his strongest defence spell but it was dissipated. He didn't give up and continuously launched spells but it took just a snap of the King's fingers for his spell's effects to vanish.

Isaiah tried to run away one last time but his neck was clasped by the King.

Isaiah glared at the black haired man and was scratching at the man's hand with both his hands, he was unable to breathe properly, all he got to see was the King's eyes turning to a shade of red before he passed out.

The king tossed Isaiah's body as if it was a corpse. He wanted to drink Isaiah's blood. It had been more than 600 years since he last drank the blood of a human. This human smelled sweet and surprisingly triggered his desire to quench his sudden thirst.

"Your Majesty, should I kill him?" The famous black knight of the King of darkness asked. The king and the knight were childhood friends so,he was the only courageous  person in the entire kingdom to interrupt or talk less informely with the King.

"No, I want to savour and drink his blood slowly. I will take him back. I'm looking forward in having a nice and delicious meal"

The handsome man stared at the fragile looking boy and mounted his horse. The king carried the boy and made the boy sit in front of him and sat behind him then, rode his horse.

Isaiah felt himself leaning on something hard. He was sleepy and uncomfortable so, he slightly turned and tightly clutched on which he assumed to be the sheets. Still, feeling uncomfortable he slowly opened his eyes.

He noticed that he was on top of a horse and he raised his head to look at the masked man. He wanted to get away but he realised that he had no strength left in his body after using all his magic to attack this man.

"What do you want!? Let me go!" Isaiah hit the man with a strength of a kid as he was powerless and shouted at the unaffected man.

"I want your blood" The man replied nonchalantly which made Isaiah baffled.

'What the hell is wrong with his head!?'
