Anna's POV

It started with a book, a book I never knew existed a book i never knew could change my life THE HEX.

Hi I'm Riannah but people call me anna I don't know why. I'm 17 years going to 18 next week ,I'm an orphan who got adopted by the age of  eight by two parents ,we aren't rich nor are we poor ,my  parents are....well...let's just say strict so I have to tend to my own needs my parents were once loving but ever since my little sister was born they treat me like a bag of bull shit but still, I love my sister she cute and is nothing like my parents.

So in order for me to tend to my own needs I took a job at a café near my school called the Ginger bread café there weren't much people working so it was easy to get a job .

"Yaaaawn,oh shit I'm late for work" I said and hurriedly entered the bathroom,took a quick bath ,brushed my teeth and wore my work uniform while packing my hair into a messy bun then rushed out of my room "Good morning mom,Good morning dad" I greeted and got no reply "good morning anna"my little sister bianca greeted me "good morning cutie,I have to go to work now bye" I said to bianca while blowing her a kiss.

Since my work Place isn't far from home I decided to walk as fast as I can and in two minutes I reached my work place.

"Morning boss" i greeted while entering the kitchen I'm a waitress so going in and out of the kitchen and serving food is kind of my work.

"Anna you're a minute late" my boss said with a hint of anger in her voice "sorry boss it won't happen again" I said while giving my boss a warm smile, my boss rolled her eyes and walked out of the kitchen to the counter while I collect a tray of food from the chef and go to deliver it "enjoy your meal"I smile to the customers and head back to to give the chef the orders,Since today is a Saturday I don't need to go to school. At the last table when I went to take the plates a not too big and bully book with brown covers I tried looking for the owner but found no one so I took it home with me "Mom,dad I'm home" I said even though I knew i would get no reply "ANNA" bianca shouted excitedly and running towards me "how are you"I smiled and said while carrying her "Imma good mama and dada  bought me a teddy and i named it mr. Snuggles" she said cutely making me chuckle ,I put bianca down "well that's good cutie ,I have to go up now" I said to bianca and headed upstairs I enter my room and slumped on my bed tiredly then remembered about the book I looked at it and tried opening it but it didn't open I tried again and again it was like trying to break a block of cement with bare hands "ugh" I said frustrated and kept the book aside I don't know if I mistook the book for something else because it flashed a bluish color.

            Anna's POV

"Beep beep beep "the alarm rings"ugh stupid alarm clock let me sleep" I said and offed it tiredly "thank goodness there's no work today" I said and stood up to stretch "ding" my phone dinged and I saw ten messages from my bestie

"Anna morning"

"Anna"

"Why are you not answering me"

"Omg we're you kidnapped"

"Oh no are you dead"

"ANSWER ME"

"ARE YOU STILL SLEEPING "

"YOU BETTER WAKE UP"

"ANNA WAKE UP NOW"

"THAT'S IT I'M COMING TO YOUR HOUSE".

I closed my phone and chuckled 'silly girl' i thought after I heard a knock on my door "Hi jenna  why you here so early " I said while yawning "EARLY IT IS TWO IN THE AFTERNOON AND YOU CALL THAT EARLY?" jenna said shouting at me while I covered my ears "well first I didn't know that, and second you're going to burst my eardrums if you keep on shouting like that"I said and walked to my bed to sit while I heard a sign from jenna "what do i do with you " jenna shook her head and said "Endure me bestie " i said and blew her a kiss .

Jenna has been my best friend since third grade ,she was always there when I needed her ,she always stood by me through my times of struggle.

"Anyways guess what?" Jenna asked excitedly "hmm...um...you had a haircut?" Jenner rolled her eyes "ugh no fine let me tell you , I have two tickets to red angle club" jenna chirped happily

"OMG OMG OMG really? When? How?" I asked excitedly holding Jenna's hands

"Hello I'm rich and I know a guy and we are going on your birthday girl"jenna said holding my hands and jumping

"Really? Yayyy" I said and jumped with her

"Thank you,you're the best" I said and hugged Jenna "oh no tomorrow is my birthday and I don't have anything to wear"I  said while panicking  "don't worry let's go shopping it's on me " jenna smiled warmly making me wonder what I'd do without her.

I and jenna went shopping after I had my bath, i bought a long red armless flowing gown with a slit on the left side with a pair of bold earrings ,chocker necklace, and sandals and jenna bought a short  green crochette  dress that brings out her hazel eyes and bold earings ,green pendant neclace and 3inch heels. We put them in a bag and jenna paid for it and we went to her house,since jenna and her family is rich I wasn't surprised to see a mansion. On our way to Jenna's room we saw Jenna's dad "Hi dad" jenn said happily "Good afternoon Mr. Griffin " I greeted "don't be so formal call me gayle " Jenna's dad said smiling in a business like form "okay gayle" I said and smiled back "Sweety I'm going to the company okay, take care" he said to jenna and kissed her forehead before walking to the exit on his way out I couldn't help but noticed his appearance.

Gayle is a a man in his 50's ,he is not too muscular and not too tall he has brown and straight hair unlike Jenna who has brown and curly hair ,he has hazel eyes just like jenna and not too much wrinkles in his face some might actually say he looks handsome for his age. He wore a black suit and black shoes.

I and jenna took the elevator to her room as soon as we entered Jenna's room we both slumped on the bed "I'm exhausted" i said "ha you're too lazy" jenna said and stood up " it'll be better if you stay here today by the way you're free tomorrow right?" "Duh it my birthday tomorrow so I'm free from work " I said still resting on Jenna's bed "let me call my mom first " I said and dialed her number it took about three minutes before she answered " WHAT, DIDN'T I SAY YOU SHOULDN'T CALL MY PHONE AGAIN OR WERE YOU DEF?" she said angrily "oh-no-i it's just that I wanted to tell you i wouldn't be coming home today " I said hoping to get a warm reply " I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU **** GET LOST" she said then hanged up "yay tomorrow is your birthday and you're spending it here I'm going to throw you a big birthday party" jenna said trying to light up my mood "sure" I said in a sad tone wondering were my birthday parents are "I have another surprise for you" jenna said proudly "what is it?" I asked curiosly.

"You know that blue gemstone necklace that you wanted to buy" Jenna asked with a smirk on her face "close your eyes" jenna asked and i obeyed and i felt something around my neck "open it" jenna said and I did so, she took me to a mirror "OMG YOU BOUGHT THE NECKLACE FOR ME THANK YOU SOO MUCH"  i said and hugged jenna tightly " I...can't..breath" "oh sorry" I said and redrew from her and she giggled "come on let's go to bed" jenna said and I nod

We got on the bed and slept

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Alex and his parents and his 13 year old sister were having breakfast

"Alex you're heir to the throne of Deira kingdom and I'm a old man soon to kick the bucket don't you think it's proper for you to have a wife yet?" alex's father king Viserion asked him with a questioning look on his face "father I know the time has come for me to have a wife but I don't think I've found the one yet" alex replied nonchalantly "Alex you've been saying this over the past hundred years ,son you're a hundred and twenty years old if you can't find a wife I'll help you find one " king viserion said with hint of annoyance in his voice "but father.." Before alex could finish his sentence he was caught off "no buts I've had enough" king viserion said in annoyance then alex stood up abruptly and headed out of the dining hall "dont worry honey I'll talk to alex " queen Isabelle told her Husband while holding his hand "you better do that, he is getting out of control" king viserion said calmly " I will"queen Isabelle told her Husband while holding his hand and not noticing that bella sneeked out of the dining hall .

"Where did bella go" king viserion asked after noticing the little princess was not in the hall

"That kid is just like her brother,she doesn't stay put to a place" king vision said while pinching the middle of his brows "Tasha,evelyn go find the little princess" Queen isabelle ordered "yes your majesty" they chorused while curtsying then headed out

Out in the palace garden was Bella playing with the butterflies while giggling ,so oblivious of things happeninv around her.

She plucks a flower and raises it up hoping the butterfly would come along with her and lucky for her it did she was about to touch it when she heard her name "princess bella" Tasha called out to bella ,bella turned to see tasha and Evelyn running towards her 'oh no if they catch me I'll have to go back to that boring dining hall no way I'm not going bella said to herself then started running away Tasha and evelyn chased after her but couldn't catch her eventually they gave up and went back to the king and queen "your highness" they chorused and bowed "where is princess Bella" queen Isabelle asked "I'm sorry your highness she ran away as soon as she saw us we chased after her but we weren't able to catch her" Tasha said " Are you telling me that the little princess ran away?" king viserion asked angrily " y-yes your highness" Tasha said while feeling the deadly aura coming from the king "you may leave" queen Isabelle said and they did as they were told while Queen Isabelle was trying to calm down her husband.
