A hit to the face.

I was completely done with this! This stupid guy... I hate him! Who gave him the right to bully me? I groveled on the floor. I was so weak.

“You better have my homework next time... stupid...”

Why? Why? That was a question I could never answer. I was so weak against this guy. He had black hair and bright red eyes that would pierce my soul.

“I wish I could change schools already.”

I was sick of this kids bullying. I started to pick myself off of the floor. I tidied up my uniform and my glasses and shook my hair a bit. I wondeeed what the girl wanted.

Aina was a member of the student council, and I would always help her carry papers about. Today she asked me to meet her in a classroom. I wondered what she would need help with, or if she wanted to tell me something. I sauntered my way over to homeroom class A. I could see all of the kids running through the halls and out of the school. Today was Friday and everybody was probably going out to dinner or something with friends. I waited a few minutes until everybody but Aina was left in the room. I could see her face flush as I walked in.

“I- um, what did you need help with?”

Aina responses with,

“Actually I- I needed to tell y-you something... I-I like you and Um... are you willing to be my b-boyfriend...”

I was shocked. Aina is pretty popular in school, so why would she like a nobody like me? But I didn’t feel that way towards her.

“I-I’m sorry Aina but...”

Thud. There she was. Face first into the floor. I could see a wound in her back, and it looked really deep. H-how? Was she dead?

I looked in astonishment at the sight. A tear started to roll down my face.

“Don’t cry... I would hate to see your tears wasted on this girl...”

What? I slowly brought my head upwards. My whole body was trembling. It was him. Chrome. My bully. And now, a murderer. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Everything was happening so fast. I fell to my knees.

“Y- you...”

I started to studder.

“Don’t worry my darling...”

Chrome started to talk but my mind was elsewhere. He’s a murderer. Aina is dead. Why? Why? WHY?

“HEL-“

I started to scream for help when I was cut off. By a warm kiss...

I was so confused. I pushed Chrome away from me.

“What are you doing?!!”

Chrome smiled sweetly, almost like there wasn’t a dead girl in front of us, and like there wasn’t her blood on his hands. How did I get myself into this.

“Don’t worry my darling, I will clean this up. Go have a good rest at home... wait for me.”

I scurried onto my feet and ran. As fast as I could. I needed to get home, only there would I be safe. I ran up to my doorstep and took out my key. I fumbled trying to put it in, but I finally got it. I bursted through the door and bulted up the stairs. I dropped my bag and flopped on my bed. I turned my head slightly to look at the picture on my bed stand. Mom, Dad... I really wish you were here right now.

The previous night, falling asleep was a very hard task but I finally managed to drift off to sleep. I started to open my eyes, and the first thing I saw was a beautiful pair of red eyes. It took me a second to adjust, and when my vision was clear, I noticed it. It was him. Chrome. I instantly jumped up and swiped up a pillow to hold in front of me for protection. Of course it wasn’t really much of protection, but I was tired and that was the only thing I could think of. I was breaking heavily with my hands shaking.

“Don’t worry sweetie, I won’t ever hurt you.”

“WELL YOU HURT HER!”

the only thing i could still think about is her. dead. I tried to swipe my phone from my bed stand to call for help. I could almost reach it, but that’s when chrome grabbed my waist and tugged me forward as to not let me get the phone.

“What are you trying to do?” Chrome questioned,

We’ll obviously i’m trying to call and get you arrested because you committed murder, but i was too shaken up already to even talk. Chrome let go of my waist and got up from the bed.

“W-Where are you going?!” i asked,

“So you want me to stay honey?”

I froze and flushed up, but it was no time for that, the real question is why this murder is calling me honey and sweetie? An even bigger question is how he got in my house!

-knock knock knock-

I got up and ran to answer the door-maybe they could help me leave, and get out of this place. Chrome was already at the door. I slip across my wood paneled floors and yanked on the door handle.

“Hello, this is the police of xxx”

They would help me get out right?! I could just tell them that the murder is right here- wait. How could i explain that a murderer is just chillin’ at my house? What would happen to me? They would never believe me anyways since chrome just looked like a cute highschool boy. My hand shook as i clenched the door handle.

“What can i help with?” i asked.

“Me and my parter have come to tell you some news.”

I stepped backwards as to let them in.

“Who is this fellow?” One of the police asked,

Chrome then held out his hand and said “Hi, I’m His Boyfriend.”

I stood there shocked.

“Actually-“

Chrome glanced at me and i instantly shut up, like it was an animal instinct. I led them into my kitchen where i started to boil some tea.

They went on to inform that a girl at our school had been murdered and they are still looking into the case of the matter. They me and chrome know that school would resume in 2 weeks. two weeks?! There was a murder! Your going to let kids come back in only two weeks? My hands were shaking.

As i clenched my hands and started to shake, i gained a warm comforting side hug. Why did it feel so familiar? i quickly turned my head to find that it was Chrome. Chrome. I started to blush. a lot. So now im getting a hug from a murderer?

I tried to push his hand off of my waist but it wouldn’t budge. Do i need to go to the gym? why am i so weak against him?

I could see in the corner of my eye that the two cops were snickering. I decided to give up for the time being so they wouldn’t find it suspicious.

The cops soon went back to their more serious face. They told us to stay calm and all of the other stuff. Just hearing them talk made me want to throw up, i wanted to leave this place. The only thing i could ever think about anymore was her. It all happened because of me. It was all my fault. And now i’ve even betrayed her, i mean her killer is sitting right next to me, with his arm around my waist.

Everything started to feel fuzzy; sounds were foggy and my eyes were blurry. I could barely hear the cops footsteps heading out the door. god i hate the police. they couldn’t even save her. i hate me too...

“thump”

I had passed out in my seat, and fell into Chromes lap luckily, so i didn’t get hurt. But unluckily, that was a very awkward situation for me when i woke up.

I started to open my eyes to a blurry image of Chrome looking down on me.

“Drink some water, we can’t have you passing out again can we?

I was very confused. what does he mean- oh...

I tried to get of quickly but Chrome just held me down on his lap. Of course i blushed, but more than that i was still scared. scared of the future. scared of the past. Eventually, Chrome let me off his lap, and went to go make some food.

Once i had gotten myself together a bit i decided i needed to go somewhere. This place was a nightmare. Even my home was unsafe. I got dressed really quickly. I put on my lengthy coat, and ran out of the house. Chrome didn’t stop me this time... but i hoped that didn’t mean anything. He couldn’t get to me that easily out here, right? I walked into the streets of town, where it was bustling with people. My mind was trying to find solutions to everything that has happened. Should i buy a plane ticket? Leave and never come back...

No, not yet at least. Once Aina has gotten the most beautiful funeral, and until i can see her face one last time, i would stay strong. For her. I would get revenge for her. For Aina. It was all my fault. I had to avenge her.
