Li Xiu is 17 years old. She’s very rich and a beauty among others. Li Xiu’s parents own the third most famous company in country A, the Li Financial Group. She has an older sister named Li Jing who’s already married to her brother-in-law, Zhang Wei.

One day, Li Xiu’s parents and her older sister were coming from Country B by a yacht.  Her family went for an important business trip. Li Xiu was very happy that they were going to come back.  Suddenly a storm hit, causing the ocean waves to go high. The yacht sank down the ocean and the family drowned to death. When Li Xiu heard the news, she isolated herself for a day until the funeral. When Li Xiu went back home from her parents and her sister’s funeral, she found her luggage outside.

“ Why’s my luggage outside? What’s happening?” Li Xiu said as she ran inside her house wondering what’s happening. “ Brother-in-law what’s happening? Why is my luggage outside? Please tell me.” asked Li Xiu.

Zhang Wei grins coldly toward Li Xiu. “ Well, Li Xiu, do you want to know something? Let me tell you the truth since you can’t do anything about it. I was planning to kill your family secretly so I could take over the Li Financial Group and become very rich, since you can’t inherit it because you're still a minor. But my luck is too good that they died. Oh well, as long as they’re dead I could have everything. Ha ha ha ha!” Zhang Wei says as he laughs evilly.

“ What! Why would you do that? You knew how much my sister sincerely loved you and how our parents trusted you so much. Why would you betray them.”

Li Xiu cried as she said that to Zhang Wei.

“ How about me! I was only married to your sister but I didn't get any of the shares. I was only recognized as a husband to your sister while as part of her family, I had nothing. No shares and no company that I can own. So now everything that belonged to the Li’s will be mine. You should leave this house and live on your own since everything will belong to me.” Zhang Wei said.

“ No! I won’t leave this house. This belongs to my parents so it’s also mine. You can’t take away what’s supposed to be mine. Even though I’m a minor, you can’t just do that. What rights do you have to just take my family’s properties?” Li Xiu tries to confront.

“ Well then, I will need to force you out if you can’t go by yourself. Maids come and throw her out.”

Zhang Wei commands the maids.

“ No! no! Let go of me. I don’t want to leave. Let go of me!”Li Xiu begs as she was dragged out of the house by the maids.

When she was thrown outside, Li Xiu stood up and said, “ Remember this Zhang Wei, someday or soon I will take back everything you stole from my family!”

It started raining and Li Xiu was crying on the street not knowing what to do.

Li Xiu looked very depressed. She decided to go to her best friend, Yue Jun’s house.

As she was walking to her friend’s house, she kept on thinking about her family.

Thinking if she could go back in time and rescue her family. But she knew that what happened couldn’t change. She had to take care of herself now that it was just her. So she decided to get back what originally belonged to her family's back from Zhang Wei.

When Li Xiu arrived at her friend’s house, she was soaking wet.

Li Xiu presses the doorbell, “Ding Dong, Ding Dong,”

“Who the hell is ringing the doorbell in the middle of the night?” thought Yue Jun

Yue Jun then grabbed a bat and went to see who it was. ”Li Xiu? What’s she doing here? Why is she soaking wet?”. She quickly opens the door to ask what happened.

“ Yue…….Jun”. Li Xiu collapses on the ground before she could explain what happened. “Li Xiu what happened to you?! Wake up, Wake up!”

Yue Jun slaps on Li Xiu’s face to try and wake her up. After that didn’t work, she dragged her to the living room. She realizes that Li Xiu was burning up. She places a hot cloth on her forehead and checks her fever with a thermometer.

Early in the morning, Li Xiu wakes up, feeling perfectly fine. She walks towards the dining room where Yue Jun was eating her breakfast. “Hey, Li Xiu, you okay now? Has your fever gone down?”  Yue Jun asked.

 “ Yeah, I’m okay,” Li Xiu said in a low and lifeless voice.

“ Yo, what’s up with you? What happened last night? If something is bothering you, tell me Li Xiu.” says Yue Jun.

Li Xiu starts to cry. “ Yue Jun, my parents and my sister……died. Now Zhang Wei took over everything that belonged to the MY family. I couldn't believe that he would betray my sister and my family.” said Li Xiu. “ Here here, don’t cry, everything will be ok. I’m here for you.” Yue Jun tries to comfort Li Xiu.

Li Xiu told Yue Jun the whole story of what happened.  “ Yue Jun, can you tell me a job that pays a lot of money? I want to make enough money to go to country D so I could graduate from the top university. I want to use my knowledge and beauty to take back everything that Zhang Wei stole from my family.”

“Sure, when I find a good job, I’ll tell you. But make sure you take care of yourself and if you need anything, I’ll be here, okay?”

“ Thank you so much Yue Jun. You're the only one I know that I can trust. Anyways, what happened to your ~ boyfriend? Why did you guys break up?”  asks Li Xiu.

“ Well that’s a long story but I’ll tell you.” said Yue Jun.

They both talked about each other’s lives hoping they would keep their smiles that represents their friendship forever.

A few days later, Yue Jun found a new job with a high paying salary for Li Xiu.

She shows Li Xiu the poster that has the details of the new job.

“ Hey, Li Xiu, they will have an interview and will only select the best of the best ones.

Wait a minute, they’re asking for maids. Are you sure you want to do this job? Wouldn’t it be hard for you since you lived your life in luxury. This may be hard and I know you won’t give up but even so, you need to be perfect at this job. You have never been poor until now and you’ve never been a maid, so would you be able to do this?” asked Yue Jun.

“ Yeah, I believe in myself and you know me, if I put my mind into something, I would never give up.

Anyways, is this person that rich to have many maids in his house? I bet this person is too lazy to do his own house work. Well, I, myself had a few maids in my house, but not as much as this person has.

But though, do you know the person I’m going to work for, Yue Jun?” asked Li Xiu.

“ Nah, they won’t tell us the name of the person. It says on the poster that they’re keeping it a secret until all the interviews are finished and they have done selecting the best maids. So it’s basically like waiting for your birthday to receive your mysterious, surprise gift. Oh well, good luck. You should practice being a maid in my house. Hmm, How about that?” asked Yue Jun.

“ Yeah, your right. I only need to work for 1 year to earn enough money to go to the top university in country D.” said Li Xiu.

“ Are you able to do this alone, Li Xiu. I know that this is hard for you but I hope you can find some help in the future.” said Yue Jun.

“ Can we visit my family’s graveyard? I kind of miss them. I want to tell them what I’m going to do for them.”

said Li Xiu.

“ Sure I’ll come. I’ll also pray for them. I miss how they all welcomed me back in the days. They were so nice to me even though I wasn’t as rich as you.” Yue Jun stated.

“ Thanks a lot,” said Li Xiu.

After they both ate lunch, Yue Jun and Li Xiu visited the graveyard. They put flowers and prayed for them. Li Xiu started to cry because she missed them. Yue Jun tries to comfort Li Xiu.

On that day and on, Li Xiu practiced being a maid everyday and went to the library to pick some books on “How to become a maid”. She worked hard everyday, trying to be a perfect maid until the day of the interview. She focused on her goal on making money so she can get revenge for her family as she planned.
