The young man with long blue hair that was almost black and clear dark blue eyes said to himself smiling as he looked at his hands from front to back. He was looking for the blood that was on his hands when he coughs out blood as it was the last thing he saw before he closed his eyes.

However, when he opened his eyes he was inside of a Novel.

He was in a place that was unfamiliar and familiar at the same time. He was sitting on the bench at the park covered in blood. His own blood.

"Nine Lives of Deity"

He mumbled those words as he looked up to the dark sky. He immediately recalled all of his thoughts and smiled then laughed as if he was planning to kill someone.

"So, I was inside the novel, the worst novel I wrote?"

'Worst'

He said to himself as he realized where he is by looking around. He observed the people passing by and his surroundings. He again smiled and looked down on the ground.

'The novel that I wrote'

He said as he started to laugh bitterly, the novel that he never finished was now his story. He then started to laugh a bit loudly as he thought that this might be a Karma to him.

'where all people here would die by the hands of the main character'

"Sigh~ the Worst, why does it have to be the worst novel I wrote."

He let out a deep sigh after he laughed, some people walking past him think that he was crazy so they walk even faster to avoid him.

'What a weird Karma, My regret became my Karma'

Karma, he thought that all of this was a karma for what he did in his life.

He said to himself wearing a bitter smile again, he knows that his mood changing is making the others crazy however he didn't care about the people around him now as he was talking to himself.

'Maybe this is the retribution for the sins I did in my life.'

He said to himself as he reminisced about what he did in his life back on earth. He immediately stood up and looked around and saw a woman passing by him, the woman flinched as his gaze met the woman's eyes.

The woman immediately ran away as if she saw a ghost, no, he was like a zombie to her, as what she thought from the young man's appearance.

He covered his face with his two hands as if he was conflicted with his thoughts. He slowly removed his hands and walked away then headed to the nearby public toilet to look for water to clean himself and a mirror to check who is he in the characters of his novel.

Although he already had a hint based on his clothing right now, he still needed to check it, just to make sure.

In Nine Lives of Deity, 'Zyren' the main character of the story, committed suicide so that his mother could receive all the money insurance when he died, However, He didn't die, instead he had awakened and healed himself using magic before he could die and walked away from the scene.

He then saved many people during the war with monsters using his knowledge in the past, However he fell into despair for losing his family and went on a rampage to kill everyone. In the end his best friend Rem killed him for that is the only solution he had to end the main character's rage in the first 2 volumes.

"Woah~!"

He let out a gasp of admiration as he saw himself in the mirror.

"This is unexpected"

He touched his chin and moved his face left and right to see that his guess of who he is, is wrong. He let out an awkwardly laugh after removing his hands on his chin while stepping back.

"This is not Zyren, this is Xul, why is this character here?"

He asked himself. 'Xul' the body that he is right now is a young man with long black hair, clear dark blue eyes and pale skin.

He is now in the body of his character who is not supposed to appear until the end of the novel. However, the young man was not thinking about

"Why is Xul wearing Zyren's bloodied clothes?"

That's the question that was bothering his mind now instead of why he became Xul instead of Zyren, who is supposed to be the main character of the story.

"Sigh~"

He sighed and sat down at the corner of the public toilet and think of what was happening.

"Ughh~"

He started to groan and scratch his head as he thinks. He had two things that he thought about.

One, is 'Xul' the character that he is right now is the new main character of the story?

Second, is the plot of the novel he wrote, changed?

Third, all of this are just a dream before he completely pass away

Either all of these theories, he was sure of one thing, faith is playing with him right now.

He quickly stood up and walked out the door of the public toilet.

'I need to see it for myself'

He said to himself, however he stopped after taking a few steps.

'Why am I going to find that character of mine who would kill everyone!?

And ugh~ I'm part of this world now so it means I'll die too.'

That's the thought in his head and felt goosebumps as he recalled what will happen to the story. However he still walked to the place where the main character should commit suicide and awaken.

'It is peaceful'

He stopped at the middle of the bustling street.

'It seems he haven't killed himself yet'

He then looked up and decided to enter the building. He ran through the stairs and reached the rooftop.

There he saw someone laying on the rooftop floor. It was a young man with black hair, It was Zyren, who was wearing the same clothing as him, white shirt, black pants and shoes, although his shirt was tainted by blood.

He walked towards him and cautiously observed the person who was on the ground.

"Zyren, Zyren!"

He called for him as he crouched down then shook his body to wake up. Zyren started to wake up. His eyes were glowing yellow.

He asked himself in confusion, his two thoughts earlier were overlapped by the situation right now. Zyren the main character of the story didn't commit suicide, and awakened earlier.

"sigh~"

He sighed in relief that the question on his mind that made him curious had been solved. He looked back to the person that was in front of him, sitting up.

"Are you okay?"

He asked Zyren a question, however Zyren might seem conscious right now, his mind was still conflicted so he responded a bit later.

"...Who are you?"

The confused person that was in front of him is asking him with an annoyed tone.

'Why is he like this to me? Did I make him annoyed?'

"My name is Sona..."

"My name is Sona..."

His introduction was suddenly stopped as he remembered something important.

'I can't tell him my real name is Sonata'

Because he was inside his character's body, he cannot tell him his real name. Sonata, no, Xul took a glance at the person who was in front of him and closed his eyes as he let out fake coughs to calm himself so that he could speak.

"Umm, I'm Xul, I found you laying on the rooftop floor unconscious"

However, Sonata's rants stopped when the person who was sitting in front of him started to get up.

"I haven't introduced myself yet, my name is Zyren, Zyren Nightroad"

Zyren Nightroad, the main character who is the reincarnation of the Great Sorcerer 'Kazimir' and the vanished deity 'Creati' was offering his hand to shake as the cold wind of the night blew, his black hair was being blown by the wind as he did.

Sonata was now feeling iffy as he thought how cruel he was while writing the story, for creating this world, however, he had a reason for that. He then thought as he stood up.

'A new life inside the novel I wrote. the world I created in my mind was now my reality'

Sonata smiled as he hesitated to shake his hand, but then, he smiled.

'This might be the cruel world I made for them, but I won't let them suffer now'

He said to himself as he accepted what was happening and decided on what he was going to do now.

'I made up my mind, I will change the plot, why I haven't thought of this while still living on earth'

He then smiled while thinking what he should have done.

"Nice to meet you Zyren"

He said in a serious tone as he shook Zyren's hand.

'Maybe it is not as bad as I think it is'

"Bleep!"

A sound of a device was heard.

"ah!"

Zyren flinched at the sound and released Xul's hand to get the device out of his pocket. He opened the device and a screen appeared in the air from the crystal of the device.

The device was invented to help in the daily lives of people. It is a device infused with magic using cores coming from the monsters.

'Now that I have thought of it, in this novel I made up so many devices that were not even invented in the earth and this world has so many monsters.'

"Sigh~!"

'My Karma, if only I wrote something that is not filled with monsters and tragedy I wouldn't be having trouble like this, but I guess I can only blame myself for being obsessed with dystopian plots.'

Sonata was talking to himself as he waited while looking at the stars in the sky in a doubtful expression. Suddenly, a hand tapped his shoulder and a voice was heard.

"umm... Xul?"

Xul flinched as he saw the handsome face that was looking at him with concern.

"You seem hurt"

Zyren pointed at his shirt that was stained with blood, no, to be specific, he was pointing to Xul's body that seemed to be wounded.

Sonata, no, Xul was confused and touched his chest, however it seems that he is not hurt anywhere, but he noticed that it was the same spot where he was stabbed by a mutated tarantula. he felt pale and shiver on his skin as he recalled how he died, he then looked at the concerned person in front of him and smiled trying to hide his fear.
