Everyone says that it is where everything began. A war of slaughter and brutality between the humans and the Domeths. Domeths are monstrous creatures that destroys and consumes everything in its path. Our founders say that they came from another world called “Modak”.

No one exactly knew why these creatures came to our world but one thing is for sure, Domeths are made to extinguish humanity’s existence...

Nothing could ever stop these creatures except the Blessed. The Blessed are people gifted with abilities to control the elements.

The Blessed are categorized of course according to the element they control. There are Water, Fire, Earth, Lightning, Shadow and the Wind element.

Each blessed only has the ability to control one element but only one was made known to use not one but two elements. She is Her Majesty, Alice Cossette Veice McKieldom the 1st.

Yes! The Queen that saved us all from the Great War. The Queen that has given us the peace were having today! The Queen that has...**"

Jeez. I tried to stop myself from yawning but failed to. Man, its the same speech every year. The Great War, the 1st Queen, how she saved us... but like seriously, we've been hearing the same speeches ever since we were children! Honestly, this is getting old.

My first day at the most prestigious Blessed Academy and yet here I'am. Bored as fuck. As usual, first days are just for orientations and whatnots. Damn, I'd like to get out of here.

As I scanned the classroom, it seems I wasn't the only one who's not interested in listening. Some were asleep, some were playing, others are passing notes.

".**..now as you all know, in honor of her memory, every year the academy presents a battle tournament. The battle tournament will determine those who are skilled and powerful enough to win the Blessed Tournament Cup.

Eternal glory is what awaits you if you win it.**"

Upon hearing the battle tournament, the room was filled with excitement and energy in an instant. Pretty much almost every one is excited about it.

The Battle Tournament of the Blessed Academy is the most momentous event of the year. Those who won from this tournament became popular idols, some earned a place in the King's Court and some earned a tremendous amount of treasures enough to support them their whole life and there are those who made life changing ideals like a building a business industry or something.

It's funny because when I was kid, I used to watch it just behind a screen. Watching their moves and power to fight whatever they've got. And now here I'am and I promised her that no matter what, I will definitely win this thing. No matter what it takes...

After the class orientation, we were told to go the examination room to determine our power levels so that they could group us into five.

Alice the 1st, didn't just won the war herself, she had her own court behind her back. So they must have thought that grouping us would help us develop our abilities and learn through different tactics.

We were in line, when I heard the nastiest shitty thing ever.

"What did you just say?"

I glared at the blonde boy and his group. They're starting to piss me off ever since the opening ceremony. I didn't mind them if they were mocking me but when it comes to parents, all hell in me could break lose.

"What? It's the truth anyways" I wanna wipe the smug smile on his face.

"Tell me about it, I mean since when did the Academy started to accept abnormals like you? I mean, your parents aren't Blessed right?" his fat friend or should I say his minion added.

"Yeah, so what?"

"So what? Haha, are you stupid or something? Alright, I'll give you four words,'You don't belong here' " Tsk. Jerks. I was about to go punch them when I realized that there were cameras everywhere.

If I do something stupid now, all the efforts of coming here would go to waste. I manage to calm down for a while. Tsk, It wasn't worth paying attention to them anyways, I just hoped that I wouldn't be as the same group as them.

When we entered the examination room, I was in awe. The examination room isn't what I imagined it would be. It was like a dome with High ceilings and the huge statues of the Queen and Her court were dispersed across it. Then theres a big stage at the center of it all.

"Attention!" as an examiner on the stage yelled out as were trying to get ourselves in line, I noticed that besides the judges, it seems that in the panel box, some of the current King's court are here.

"As we call out your name, state your age, the province your from and the element you have. Perform the most fatal blow you could do to the dummy here beside me... It is for us to determine your power level as we group you accordingly. Know that in each class there are only 7 groups, to be administered."

Somehow, I'm kinda nervous about this. If you could leave an impression you might be able to be grouped on the powerful ones.

" Let's begin... Alias Eiden! "A guy with pale skin and dark hair went up to the the stage.

" 18. Brehialm Town. Earth" he whisked his hand through the air, and soil came out from nowhere and in just a second he launched them like bullets to the dummy in a tremendous speed.

His power level was 3, 457 as shown on the screen for the judges to observe. I must say that its not that bad at all. In fact, its actually powerful.

“Outstanding!” everyone gave him around of applause. "Next! Malarie Vegard"

As Malarie went up to the stage, you might actually think that she's child due to her height. She has blonde hair and amazing skin. You can definitely recognized that she's the daughter of a Duke or a wealthy businessman.

"18. Wailes Town. Water" she clasped her two hands, trying to create as much water element as she could. Perhaps she's inexperienced in using her element. In 30 seconds, a huge ball of water appears and she immediately blasted it off to the dummy.

Her power level was 562. Despite that amazing impact on the dummy, it could only do a little damage.

" Neil Wong Gerandie" it was the blonde boy that was mocking me. Alright, the moment of truth is here. Let's see if you all just a talk.

A bunch of girls started giggling at my side.

Yeah true, he's handsome and all. Probably came from a prestigious family as well but that attitude... For a guy, he's more like a bitch than an asshole.

"18. Oakindred Town..." he looks at me like I was going to be pitied. This douchebag"Fire!"

As he summoned his element, fire, he immediately enveloped it though his right arm. Like anyone else in this room, it was like a fire fist. In a swift movement, he immediately punched the dummy with a hard blow resulting 7,956 power level.

Everyone applaud of course except for me. I still think he's a douchebag. I wasn't paying attention to the other Blesseds anymore. All I could ever think about is what to do to give a hard blow on that measuring dummy.

I was trying to think of some sort of plan but everyone went quiet as she went up.

Like others... Something bolted within me for I've never seen anyone so beautiful as her..

Amazing raven haired hair...beautiful skin and those bronze eyes... It was as if it was trying to look at my very soul. I was watching her in every swift move she does...

I didn't catch her name because I wasn't paying attention. I asked the person beside me..

"Valerie Betheil" I just couldn't stop staring at her... Unlike the other girls I've seen or met in my life, she's the most beautiful one.

"18. Berwin Town. Water." In a calm way, she extended both of her arms, focused on her target ahead. It seems that water droplets seems to came out from her fingertips.

She then put her hands down, the water droplets seemed to float in air. But in a just a moment it was so fast that you can barely see it right. At first the droplets just made the dummy wet. Of course, almost everyone is confused and quiet as I'am. Was that it?

She looked at my direction and smiled?... No one exactly could have seen, what I have seen. Even if I was correct.. I knew that she whispered...'explode'. Before anyone could've noticed, the dummy exploded.
