The Odyssey of a Woman from Mars

The Rough Sailing of an Amour

The Asian Financial Conference, which was only held every three years, would take place in Oceanfront City this year!

To everyone's surprise, the European financial giant Merovingian family, who had been mysterious and low-key, accepted the invitation to the aforesaid conference and sent the CEO of "White Consortium" as its delegate.

Once the deal was concluded, White Consortium would invest hundreds of billions every year to control well-known companies in Asia, emerging as the greatest driving force for the region's economy.

Therefore, the CEO of White Consortium was the most important supporter of the Asian Financial Conference. To be exact, he was the number 1 backer of Oceanfront City and even Asia.

To protect this mysterious patron, the whole city was on high alert. The conference center was surrounded by guards, and not even a mouse could get in.

However....

"There is a serious gang fight on the 3rd Beltway. All the units nearby to the scene, now!"

"Roger that!" A crisp voice was transmitted through the walkie-talkie to the headquarters. "Deputy Director of the Oceanfront City North District Criminal Investigation Department Hester is on her way!"

Reflected in the rearview mirror was a gorgeous face with clear and bright eyes. It was delicate and looked serious. Its owner was the deputy director of the Oceanfront City North District Criminal Investigation Department. Hester, the famous Officer Hester, was also dubbed "Violent Machine".

"Copy that. Please make haste...." The man on the other end of the radio gave a routine answer but then realized something and screamed, "Wait! Officer Hester! Stand down!"

It was just a brawl. If "Violent Machine" Hester went to the scene, people might die!

"Why?" She sounded calm, but her pretty yet handsome face was dripping with doubt.

"Well, Officer Hester, your mission today is to guard the Convention and Exhibition Center for the Asian Financial Conference. You should better stay put."

Most importantly, as the "Weapon of Terror" of the North District Branch, it was not a good idea to send her unless it was imperative. Or else there might be necessary casualties!

"I'm not interested in protecting the rich. My duty is to catch evil men, not to be an escort for the lucky few!" At that, she hung up and stepped on the accelerator.

Hester held the steering wheel with one hand and placed the alarm on the roof of the car. She ignored the traffic lights and the dumbfounded traffic police, speeding through the city at nearly 180 mph.

'Let's see the wussies that dare to fight on my turf.'

'Mama is gonna make you repent like a bunch of crybabies!' she thought to herself.

In the meeting room of the Oceanfront City North District Criminal Investigation Department, the man that Hester hung up on was stupefied. His neck stiff, he turned his head like a robot only to meet his captain's long face.

"D-Officer Hester is heading to the 3rd Beltway."

"What?" Hester's direct superior, Hamilton Brown, opened his eyes wide and roared, "Then what about the Convention and Exhibition Center? Even the European financial giant is going to show up today. How dare she disobey my orders!"

"She said her duty was to catch evil men, not ... not to be an escort for the rich...."

Hamilton was so mad that his face turned pale. He fumed gnashing his teeth, "Hester! You will find the bureau the last place you want to be at!"

Surprisingly, the furious bellow shattered the fish tank on the director's desk upstairs.

The pitiful fish bounced with its mouth wide open. The fat middle-aged director calmly picked up his glass and dropped the fish into it. Then he had the fish tank fragments cleaned up.

Ever since Hester joined his bureau four years ago, the fish tanks on his desk had been exposed to greater peril. By now, a total of 88 tanks had been broken.

...

He was stuck in traffic again.

Farley White was driving to the convention and exhibition center in the North District of Oceanfront City. The lucky host of a pair of purple eyes was staring at the hopelessly jammed traffic in front of him with a slight frown.

He tapped gently on the steering wheel with his slender fingers and waited patiently for a few minutes. However, there was no sign he could move any further.

A ring came in the car. He answered the call and heard a woman's pleasing voice. "This is Linda. There are only 45 minutes left before the meeting. Please come as soon as possible."

"Yes." One lonely word was uttered in his charming and calm voice before he hung up through the Bluetooth earphone.

He indifferently swept the traffic and started the car, steering through a narrow gap in front of him.

The sports car with excellent performance rushed onto the lawn, stirring the sand, and turned into a small alley beside the green belt. Then it headed towards the Convention and Exhibition Center on the 3rd Beltway which had less traffic.

However, just as the sports car got on that road, the screech of brakes rang out. The wheels rubbing against the ground, he parked the car in front of a heap of ruins.

Blocking his way were several seemingly abandoned cars. There were also clothes, sticks, and even cartridge casings lying on the road....

Indifferently sweeping the leavings in his car, Farley figured the city was not as safe as it was pitched.

He pursed his thin lips and was about to change roads. Then he noticed a police car through the rearview mirror.

Although a most common car for public service, it was racing even faster than his ever could.

A squeal came.

The police car was braked 30 meters away from him and slid to his car's side, slamming its back end like a thug.

She Caught a Tycoon by Mistake

Hester banged his sports car on purpose.

Today was your lucky day!

Unbuckling her seat belt, she got out of the car and pulled out her gun. Then she aimed it at the door of the sports car.

The door window was designed to protect the privacy of its passengers, so Hester couldn't see the look of the driver. However, it was an inconsequential factor in the arrest.

Hester raised her beautiful eyebrows and ordered, "Get out!"

Farley looked through the glass at the sassy little woman wearing a police uniform.

Her eyes charming, her facial features were delicate and in proportion. She was like a ray of sunshine that brought comfort to the heart of the weary.

Nonetheless....

Farley squinted. This brazen woman crashed his car and was pointing her gun at him now. It had been years since he faced such a daredevil!

Ignored, Hester was enraged and kicked the car door, ordering with a louder voice, "I said get out!"

Farley raised his eyebrows at Hester, not afraid of the gun at all, because his car was bulletproof. But his behavior bordered on defiance, and the bold police officer was pissed off.

"Screw you! You don't want to get out?" Hester was furious. "Alright, don't regret it!"

She hated rich people the most. This loaded pretentious bastard had started a fight and intended to flee in a sports car, having no respect for the North District Police!

She coldly snorted as she turned the pistol around, smashing his car window with its butt.

It was made of the hardest metal, so the glass should have been crushed into pieces. Besides, Hester was an incredibly strong fighter.

Unexpectedly, the window remained unscathed.

Because it was tempered and bulletproof!

The burning rage in Hester's eyes faltered. No one could afford to make his car windows that way unless he was filthy rich!

In that case, this suspicious man in the crime scene who resisted arrest by hiding in his car must be someone special.

But she didn't care. She would take on anyone who ran riot on her turf.

Just as Hester was about to discipline the hell out of him gritting her teeth, the car window was rolled down.

It was a man in sunglasses with alabaster skin and chiseled good looks. His perfect jaw line was highlighted because the sunglasses were covering most of his face.

Actually, they weren't that big. It was just his face was so enviably small!

Hester took a look at his profile and shook her hand somewhere he couldn't see to grasp the size of his face, touching her own. She wondered if this was a lady because his skin was too fair for a man!

Farley turned his head. His brown hair was slightly curly. She still couldn't see how he really looked like behind those comparatively giant sunglasses.

Under them, his mouth set in a hard line.

"What's up?"

His voice was elegant and crisp. It was not as deep as that of an ordinary man, nor as squeaky as that of a woman. It just sounded aloof yet soothing.

His tone was coated with arrogance and reminded her of the cool air in autumn.

She could tell this was a dude even if his countenance remained mysterious.

'I've never hesitated to arrest a woman, not to mention a man!'

Hester snorted impatiently and showed her certificate to him still holding the gun. "I am the Deputy Director of the CID of North District Police Station. You are a suspect of a gang fight. Please get off the car and cooperate with the investigation."

"On what ground?" Farley said indifferently glancing at her perky face, his eyes unfathomable under the glasses.

Hester rolled her eyes and countered, "I am a police officer, while you are a suspect at a crime scene! You need to come with me and answer some questions."

He was a suspect?

His long eyes narrowed. "Not now."

"Why?" He wanted to flee?

"I'm busy," he answered briefly in a stone-cold tone.

Oh, my god!

Four years as a police officer, she had faced evil in the face countless times. That being said, he was the most arrogant ass she had ever met.

'You are busy?'

'But I am not?'

'I am going to be so tied up interrogating the crap out of you!' she cursed in her heart.

Hester pointed her gun at him and said, "I'll give you two options. First, come with me. Second, I make you do it after I kiss your ass. I can tell you are some sort of fancy pants, but don't push me! Or you will have a lot coming your way!"

Farley impatiently glanced at the watch on his wrist and took out his passport, tossing it to the annoying woman. "You are looking at the wrong man."

Hester looked down at the name on his passport. Farley White? She had never heard of him. Afterwards, she took a glance at the photo and then him. What a fat liar!

"This is your son's passport, right? You should forge a more convincing one next time!"

The passport said Farley was already 31, but the photo indicated otherwise.

Have you ever seen a 31-year-old high school student?

This rude broad!

His eyes dulling, he raised his hand and slowly took off the sunglasses.

As they finally came off, his unbelievably handsome face came into view.

A Man Who Grew Younger with the Years

His thick long eyelashes curled up, casting shadows over his solemn eyes. They were long and purple, which went well with his Grecian nose. Coupled with his thin lips, he had the look of a nightwalker that fed on blood.

Something was wrong!

In what sense was he thirty-one?

The passport said he was 31, but he looked nothing of the sort! Was he getting younger with the years?

Did he age at all?

Had he been drinking children's blood?

Officer Hester was both shocked and confused! She had never seen anyone this much younger than his years!

Farley looked up and squinted, his sharp purple eyes on her face. She couldn't feel any emotions in them.

On the other hand, the eyes of this sassy chick were brimming with surprise and disbelief. Evidently, she couldn't connect him with his age, and he saw right through it.

He was familiar with this kind of reaction over the years. Nonetheless, she was among the few who dared to show it out.

He had made it pretty clear he hated people talking about his face more than anything. Nevertheless, strangely, he was not mad at this bold woman who was goggling at him.

His rare purple eyes seemed to have the magic to freeze one's soul. "I came from abroad for an investment. I just arrived at this city last night. It's impossible for me to be involved in some gang fight," said he gazing at her.

Hester said seriously, "Since you only arrived last night, please show me your plane ticket."

"I don't have it." He could fly anywhere in his private jet. What was more, he had exclusive air routes.

"How can I believe a word you said when you don't even have a ticket?" Hester lost her patience and reached out to open the car door from the inside.

When she reached in, Farley grabbed her wrist.

His grip firm, his hands felt cold. Despite his delicate face, he was actually a strong and domineering man. She didn't see it coming.

Hester felt a sharp pain in her wrist but couldn't move her arm, as if it had been grasped by an arm of iron.

She was the champion of the Criminal Police Combat Competition four times in a row! This man looked like a teenager. How could he...? Damn it..., she couldn't break free!

Farley was surprised clutching her wrist. He had thought this arrogant and rude police officer would be a big girl, but her wrist was so thin, as if he could just crack it with a jerk.

Noticing she was frowning in pain, he pursed his thin lips and loosened his grip slightly.

"Let go!" Hester raised her eyebrows and fumed, "I'm a police officer!"

Farley did not listen to her but said firmly and coldly, "But I am not a suspect."

"Then why can't you show me your plane ticket? And why are you at the scene for no reason? More importantly, what's with the bulletproof windows? Let go of me, you jerk!"

"No." He glanced indifferently at her flushed face.... She did get some dynamite and quite a temper in there.

"Damn!" She bit her tender lips and tried to fight her way out of this but failed.

Although she had an edge by holding a gun, he was just a suspect. And the gun was for real criminals.

On a more pressing note....

Was his hand made of iron?

"Are you going to let go?" Hester glared at him. This was her last warning.

"Still no." The same chilly tone. He got kind of excited waiting for her to use her gun. Did she have a death wish going all rough on him?

"Alright, you forced me!" She looked daggers at him but was still torn by the same dilemma—she could not break free or shoot him. Lowering her head with determination in her eyes, she bit the hand that was holding her prisoner.

When her teeth went into his flesh, she realized it was not iron after all.

No, no, no!

She should not be thinking that. She should focus on the biting! She ought to be punishing this snob who was kind of attacking her! 'This is what you deserve for not releasing me when I told you to, you 31-year-old brat!'

Farley was caught off guard. He just stared at the woman who was gnawing him full of righteous indignation.

He felt her soft lips and little teeth on his hand, which surprised him, because she didn't look soft at all. What was more, he even sensed her tender tongue.

Electricity ran through him the moment she licked him with the tip of her tongue. The long-lost titillation woke up his little buddy. It had been years since he was touched and felt this way.

Confused, he set his gaze upon her cute little head. Was he aroused? His eagle eyes drifting over to her chest, he slowly pursed his thin lips and brooded.

'I am gonna bite the crap out of you! This is your treat for not letting me go! Let's see how long you can hold on!' she thought to herself.

Slowly, he let go of her hand.

Therefore, Hester also loosened her bite, raising her eyebrows at him when she looked up. 'I said you would regret it!'
