Her heels clicked on the tile floor of the large ballroom. Her dress draped down her body showing off all of her curves. The room filled with unknown faces quieted as the Lu family entered. Standing close to but not quite behind Xima was Lei, Lei stood in this spot because she knew eyes would be on her, but didn’t want to attract attention tonight, so she made it seem to Xima that all the eyes were on her. Xima looked proud of herself for all eyes she thought were on her.

Lei stood around with her glass of wine shooing off every male who tried to woo her. Lei stood to the side while Xima socialized trying to draw all the attention to her.

“Lei honey, come here” Lei smirked and walked over to her father “yes father?” She replied “Lei, this is Mr. Hollin, he was one of our business partners a while back, before you came back from abroad.”

Lei smiled the most polite smile she could manage “nice to meet you” she extended her arm to shake his hand, “you too” he smiled back with the most disturbing gaze, slightly disgusted she continued the short conversation with, “have you met my sister Xima? She is very interested in what you do.” Mr. Hollin looked just as interested as he did pleased. “I have not, but I must say if she looks as fine as you, I would be pleased to meet her.”

Lei smirked develishly inside ‘dumb old man, such a bastard’ is what she thought in her head. “Then I shall take you to meet her.” Lei led the way towards Xima, “Xima! Dear sister, I would like you to meet someone, he is a very successful businessman, very rich” saying the last part to where only Xima could hear, and with that, Xima looked very interested.

Lei left them to talk as a waiter came up to her and offered her some more wine as her glass was getting empty. She accepted and began to take a sip, the waiter lingered around keeping Lei in her sight. ‘Stupid Xima, if only you knew how stupid you were to mess with me’ satisfying the waiter Lei took a big sip and pretended to swallow, seeming satisfied, the waiter started walking away, and Lei spit the wine back into the cup.

Lei knew how long it took roofie to settle in the blood stream, so she took advantage of the time she had left. Lei walked towards Xima and ‘accidentally’ bumped into her “oh I’m so sorry sister, let me repay you with a glass of wine, I’ll be right back” Xima excepted the offer and Lei headed towards the table full of wine glasses, she picked one up and put the roofie that she was able to take from Xima and poured it into the wine.

Lei walked back to Xima and handed her the wine glass “here you go sister, I’m sorry for bumping into you” Xima humphed and took the wine glass taking a big sip. As Lei walked away her devilish smile appeared took over her face. Now she only has to wait.

Mr. Hollins approached Lei once again, Lei politely greeted him as he started trying to discuss business with her. Lei answered all his questions and avoided the ones he didn’t need to know. After a few minutes of talking, Lei offered Mr. Hollins wine given from a waiter, he accepted and, her plan started falling into place.

Lei saw Xima leave the room and new it was time, Lei had spiked Mr. Hollins drink with a stronger roofie in order to catch up for the lost time while talking pretending to become dizzy, Lei headed wobbly up the stairs, knowing exactly who was behind her she entered a room staying in the corner of the room near the door, while Mr. Hollins entered Lei swiftly went behind him and left the room. Lei walked down the hall and entered a control room, she watched the camera that she placed in the room carefully waiting for the right time to press the button. The time came and she set a timer for an hour giving her enough time to head back to the ballroom and for those two to sober up.

Lei had made it back to the ballroom and came up to her father and started socializing “Lei, oh how I’ve missed you honey, I haven’t seen you since you came back from your business trip” Lei turned around and before she knew it there was a lady wrapping her arms around Lei’s back. “Hello mother, how are you? I missed you!” Lei said.

Anna Chen, the one and only, Xima’s mother, my step-mother, Anna has played many dirty tricks on Lei when she was a child, and Lei finally found her way out when she got excepted into her dream college at the age of 16. It was prestigious college, not many people knew about it, she didn’t even tell anyone before she left, she just told them she was going to college to get further education and left. Lei recently returned and was finally ready to get revenge on the the sick and horrible things those two people did. Her father would come last, for she wanted him to crumble slowly in the palm of her hand.

55 minutes had passed, during this time Lei had socialized with her step-mother and father, as well as all the important business people her father had introduced to her. Xima, came back around 15 minutes ago and answered all the questions of why she disappeared, of course they believed that she didn’t feel good. it had been a long hour, but it was time now.

A screen in the ballroom extended from the ceiling and the screen loaded, a video played of Xima and Mr. Hollins. Shamelessly doing what no humane person should do at a high class party. It was show time...

Xima stood there in shock as a circle of people gathered around her. It was time for the show. Pushing through the crowd I ran up to Xima, tears streamed from my eyes, “Xima, you were framed right?!? This isn’t you! This isn’t Xima!” I quickly took Xima’s hand, but making sure that people got their pictures, and ran out of the crowded room with her.

“Sis, that’s not me, you have to believe me! I would never do something like that!” Xima fell down and started crying while her head rested on her knees. “I know sis, I’ll help you out, don’t worry”

A week passed and the news about Xima was still going strong, due to a certain someone, Lei told Xima she would take care of things, but the only thing she did was hide the news from Xima herself, but not everyone else. Ken (Lei’s father) had beaten Xima the night home from the party and she had also stopped getting acting jobs from companies as well, everything was falling in place.

While Lei went off to college she learned many things, she learned from design to business to martial arts, Lei was unstoppable. Lei was one of the few people in the world with an IQ of 230 and easily graduated high school right after her sixteenth birthday. Lei went to a college that was said to make anyone successful in life, if they could pass the entrance exam. The entrance exam for this school was next to impossible, only 1/20 people pass and only 5/20 actually graduate, but with Lei’s intelligence, she graduated in only three years.

Lei needed a break from the world, before going to college she was reckless, she made no use of her intelligence, only to get good grades, but would always disgrace the Lu family.

****Long Flashback (background story)****

While in high school Lei met a boy named Ivan Alter. Lei believed she loved him and he loved her, matter of fact she did love him, she let him in and she gave him everything, money, power, and her heart. But in the blindness of what she thought was love she was deceived, Ivan betrayed her, he ordered people with his newfound power to destroy Lei. Lei received a note ‘from Ivan’ and she went to meet him at the place written on the note. When she got there she knew something was off and decided to stay in her car because she didn’t see him there. She got worried since he wasn’t answering texts, so she called him, no answer. Lei ended up driving to his house only to see not one car, but two, in the driveway, it was the same car her sister had, but she looked passed it and thought that maybe it was a cleaner.

Lei entered the house and called out for Ivan, no answer. Until she heard a noise from the bedroom, Lei walked towards the room quietly and cautiously. Once she opened the door, she knew exactly what the situation was, Ivan was on top of Xima, thrusting in and out, in and out. Xima was screaming in pleasure and Lei dropped her keys, interrupting them. They both looked over to her and looked shocked to see her.

“Lei, help me!” Xima cried out. But Lei wasn’t going to be tricked any more, she thought she was in love, but the feeling in her stomach was not love anymore, it was hatred . Ivan jumped off the bed and they both started accusing each other of seducing the other, or how he raped her. Lei still stood there in shock, she picked up her keys and left the room, slamming the door behind her.

“ I thought you said she was taken care of!”

“She was! I’m not paying those stupid bastards anymore, they didn’t do a single thing, they were supposed to rape her, do something to defame her!”

In disbelief, Lei started towarads her car after overhearing their conversation. Lei sat in her car waiting for Xima, knowing that she would come. Soon enough Xima starts tapping on the window, now dressed in the outfit she was wearing this morning. “Hey, Lei, it really isn’t my fault! He forced me! I came here to get some notes for my upcoming test, but he knocked me out and when I woke up I was just under him, I tried to get up, but I couldn’t” Lei smirked sadly, I believe you. Looking shocked Xima smile and said “That’s great” Lei rolled her window up and drove off and didn’t return that night.

After betrayal, Lei believed she couldn’t trust anyone. Lei became cold and distant after that, she stopped talking to everyone, and made sure that if she were to go down, the Lu family would go down with her.

Lei stayed in a hotel for around 2 weeks while she took every chance she could get to ruin the Lu family reputation. If it was a party she would show up there looking disgraceful, a business meeting? She would barge in and ruin it. Lei’s style changed to black crop tops and skinny jeans rather than polite dresses.

It was only until she managed to overhear a conversation between Anna and Xima that she decided things needed to change.

Xima: “Mom that bitch Lei is ruining everything, father won’t even let me go out to get new shoes anymore, all because of the damage Lei has done!”

Anna: “Don’t worry honey, I’ll make sure to put that girl back in her place, no matter what it shall be, we got her to obey us after we killed her mother and grandmother, so we can do the same with that old man too”

Shaking with anger Lei didn’t even go to say hi to her father, which is why she returned to the mansion in the first place, and left the house.

Once she returned back to the hotel she pulled out her computer and started looking up places far away to go to, when an idea popped up in her head. ‘Why don’t I get further education after school and then destroy this family?’

Graduation finally came and it was time for Lei to start looking for a college, and she did just that. That’s when she found WLU. She went to her father to gain permission to go abroad to get further education, and he agreed. She then went to her grandparents house and asked for her Grandfather’s permission, she was planning on telling him everything, but first she knew it would be difficult to gain his trust, for he did not see Lei as his granddaughter anymore because how many things she did to the Lu company.

Pulling up to his house, she took a deep breath and entered. She looked around and didn’t see him so she decided to look in the office, and sure enough, there was her grandpa.

“Grandpa, I have something to discuss with you”

“What are you doing here, who let you in, you unfilial child”

“I let myself in, but I would like to discuss going abroad to get further education, and something else..”

“... go on”

“Well first I looked up some colleges and decided I wanted to go to WLU”

“What are you thinking! Just because you are part of the Lu family doesn’t mean you can just get into any school that you please! That school is difficult to get into even with all the connections you can get”

“I know grandpa, but I believe that I can do it, I am capable of more than you’ve seen, and plus I plan on going there without sharing anything, I planned on making my way to the top on my own”

Looking somewhat pleased they talked a little more about it and after some persuasion he finally agreed.

“Now you said you had something else to tell me?”

Lei looked down, beginning to feel sad, Grandpa looked up confused.

“Well.. you know the car accident mother had while Grandma was driving? The one where..”

Tears started to form in her eyes and Grandpa replied with “yes, go on, what about it?!?”

“Well it was caused by..by Anna and Xima...”

Grandpa looked up and the room dropped 10 degrees causing Lei to shiver, Grandpa looked up and with teeth clenched said “is that all?”

“Well I was also planning on after I go to college and get powerful, to take revenge, I also know that father has been secretly selling the company shares for low prices for a long time ruining the company, I’ve known this for a while though.”

Grandpa didn’t say anything, he walked over to a picture and said “girl, I will be supporting you, but I also have something to show you”

Grandpa pressed in three hidden buttons on his bookshelf and a doorway started to take place, grandpa reached his hand out and led me down into a dark room full of monitors.

“What is this Grandpa?” I said while looking around amazed, “It’s what your mother left behind for you, your mother had always been paranoid, so she decided to build this office for herself to watch over the people she didn’t trust, she knew the night your father had an affair, she was heartbroken, and after a week of divorce, your grandmother decided to take her somewhere, she never told me where, but they never returned. So this is yours now, whatever was hers is now yours, including the Lu company, so I’m putting my trust in you to take it back.”

Lei nodded her head and stayed for dinner, the next morning she said farewell to her grandfather and headed out to start her revenge plan.

While in college Lei met many allies and rivals. But in the end they will all turn out to become the best of friends that they could ever wish for.

After college that is when Lei opened up her corporation as well as traveled to Italy and started her clothing company. She decided she needed backup plans in case her company took a turn for the worse. But knowing Lei, her companies would thrive. Lei also needed to have connections throughout the world in order to be able to gain the power that she needed, which is also why she traveled to Italy instead of staying at WLU before going back to C Country.

Lei’s corporation’s name was IRL Corporations, standing for, In Respect (of) Lillian. Lillian was her mother’s name and she decided to make all of her accomplishments be in relation to her dead mother. Her clothing company’s name was LL, or Lillian Lei’s. Both of her companies had the tightest security, and the most mysterious boss, no one knew who that the boss of her companies was so powerful, or even that it was a she.

After finally building up her reputation, Lei returned to C Country without letting anyone in her family, not even Grandpa yet, of her success, the first person she saw when she returned was Grandpa though. Grandpa greeted Lei back warmly, as they discussed business over the dinner that Lei had cooked.

Grandpa knew something had changed within Lei though, she was no longer the immature girl she used to be, she now dressed in very formal business attire and had a very strong aura that no one wants to be around.

“Isn’t it about time you found a husband Lei?”

Lei almost choked on her food by the sudden subject, a memory popped up in her head, the pictures of her smiling happily with Ivan, then the next of Ivan over Xima in Ivan’s home. Lei looked down sadly and said “I don’t think I’m ready to open my heart again Grandpa” Grandpa took Lei’s hand and said, “everyone is ready to open their hearts after tragedy, it only takes the right person.” Lei smiled pitifully at Grandpa and they continued their meal. Lei and Ghan’s ( Lei’s Grandfather) relationship only grew as time went on, and even though the age difference they became the best of friends.
