Anniversary
It was around midnight.. Ethan just came back to his house .. he stood in front of the door and took a deep breath
before entering he took out a small mirror from his pocket and fixed his hair and his clothes
He then entered the house
The lights were off.. the only thing that was enlightening the room was some candles which were about to go out
Ethan had a confused look on his face.. he came near the dining table .. it was full of food which are his favorite and organized elegantly
He then took a look at the cake that was placed in the middle of the table .. he read the card that was on top of it

I forgot our anniversary was today *facepalmed himself*
Ethan put his things on the chair and took few steps and he is now standing in front of a couch
A guy was sleeping there .. He was wearing beautiful clothes which ethan knew he bought especially for this event
The guy had dried tears on his cheeks which were puffed .. he obviously slept while he was crying

Ian *shakes him lightly*
Ian
*opened his swollen eyes slowly and looked at Ethan tiredly*

Yeah *smiled slightly at him*
Ethan
I had to work overtime
Ian
didn’t you know that today was our anniversary? *said with a heartburn*
Ian
Well, it’s not your first time
Ian stood up and start walking toward the bedroom .. ethan start following him
Ian
I’ve been waiting for you for hours *said with teary eyes*
Ethan
why don’t you remind me?

I would’ve came earlier
Ian
we’ve been married for 5 years and the only time you remembered our anniversary was the first year
Ian
And after that you start forgetting everything about me
Ian
I have to remind you about all these things? *asked in frustration*
Ian
what a coincidence last year you were sorry too

you’re gonna make a problem out of it?
Ethan
I’ve been working my *** all day

I just had to work overtime

Ethan then walked toward Ian and slowly got closer to his face, he pecked his lips lovingly
With that kiss and those words Ethan managed to soften Ian’s heart ... he knows the cheat code for Ian’s heart

I’ll go take a shower
Ian
I’ll prepare the clothes for you
With that Ethan went to the bathroom and Ian walked toward the closet
Ian was sitting on the bed waiting for his husband to finish which didn’t take long
After a while Ethan walked out the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist
They have been married for 5 years now but Ethan’s body never fails to make Ian drool
Ian stood up and went towards Ethan he back hugged him and pecked his back he then turned Ethan around and pushed him on the bed and sat on his lap
He kissed him but Ethan broke the kiss
Ethan
can we do that later?
Ethan
i really wanna sleep
Ian
*sighs and rested his head on Ethan’s shoulder*
Ian
let’s sleep *said with a heavy heart*
Ethan
*smiled and ruffled ian’s hair*
Ian
*looked down sadly and then he laid down on the bed*
Dismissal
They went to the bed and cuddled
Ian closed his eyes to sleep .. after a while Ethan saw that Ian was asleep he slowly put him on his side and then he turned around .. and now his back is facing Ian
But ian wasn’t asleep yet.. he opened his eyes as tears made there way out..
Around midnight Ethan was already asleep.. but ian was still awake .. he got out of bed and opened the drawer near his bed .. he took out a box and walked out the room..
He sat in the living room and opened the box and start taking out pictures and stuff from it and stared at them
He start crying while looking at the pictures
There were pictures of them when they were 6 and when they were 10 there’s also a picture for Ethan kneeling with a ring and proposing to Ian
He can still remember that day clearly.. Ian was 9 and Ethan was 13 he stole his mother’s ring and went to Ian’s house and proposed to him..
sad laughs came out of ian as he remembered how Ethan was scolded by his mother that day for stealing the ring
Yes, Ethan and Ian are childhood lovers
Ian spent hours crying.. he then with heavy heart went back to his room and slept..
When Ethan felt that ian is back in the bed he pulled him to his chest and hugged him
Ian smiled sadly and snuggled in his husband’s chest
The next day came.. Ethan woke up.. he turned around but didn’t see Ian he knew that he’s in the kitchen preparing breakfast
He went to the bathroom and took a shower
He then went to the kitchen.. they had their breakfast and again went back to the bedroom to get ready for work..
While Ethan was changing Ian gave him a small box
Ian
I wasn’t able to give it to you last night
Ian
i hope you like it *smiles*
Ethan
you didn’t have to baby
Ethan opened the box and found a watch
Ethan
yes *pecked his forehead*
They then went to the company.. they headed to their respective offices
When Ian entered his office he found some files on it
He called one of the employees

ooh those are the files you gave to Mr. Ethan yesterday..

There’s a lot of errors

So he asked me to return them for you to fix them
Lately Ian’s been depressed because of his marriage issues.. that was distracting him from work hence he was making a lot of mistakes
No matter how hard he tries to focus but he fails, this is not the first file that was returned to him by Ethan
Meanwhile with Ethan he was in his office when his secretary came

A guy with a well built body and handsome face entered the office, he had a blonde hair, it was covering his forehead but it couldn’t hide his beautiful blue eyes
Ethan interviewed Jake and found that jake was qualified for the job.. among the people he interviewed jake was the best

You are hired *smiled at jake*
At this moment Ian entered without knocking.. he was surprised to see someone in the office so he apologized politely

i fixed the documents
Ethan
Leave them on the table
Ian was about to leave but Ethans’s voice stopped him midway
He turned around and looked at Ethan

ooh hello *stretched his hand*

he’d be taking your place
Ian
What! *said shockingly*

Ian stared at Ethan without blinking.. he was too shocked to even blink.. Ethan was removing him from his position in the company

jake can you leave us alone please

WHAT’S THE MEANING OF THIS?!!! *shouts*
Ian
you’re removing me from my position and you tell me to calm down??
Ian
besides when were you going to tell me!!

I didn’t tell you because I knew you’d react like this

ooh seriously?! How am I supposed to react tell me

i said calm down and listen

you did notice how much you’re making mistakes right?

i think you need to rest and dismissing you will give you less work

but i never said i was tired *said with teary eyes*

Saying this ian left the office furiously, and slammed the door he then went to his office
He sat on his chair and rested his head on the table, it was taking everything inside of him to not cry, he was holding his tears hardly

With a heavy heart ian finished packing and walked out the office... the employees were staring at him some had sad expressions some had pity ones and some were happy
While he was heading to one of the desks.. he can’t have his own office anymore
On his way jake suddenly stood in front of him blocking his way

but I don’t want things to be bad between us
One of the employees stood next to jake who was still staring at Ian

but how could he do that to his own husband

well yeah ian have been in this position for years

He walked to his new office.. he looked around and then sat on the table..
He start organizing his table
Few hours passed ... Ian was absent minded .. lately he’s always like this .. there was too much in his mind but no one knows what’s the matter.. he was also sleepy
one of the employees brought him coffee

didn’t sleep much last night? *gave him the cup*

thank you *smiled and took the coffee*

Yeah I didn’t sleep well

i was waiting for Ethan
Marie
awww aren’t you a sweet Wifey
Ian
he had to work overtime yesterday
Suddenly marie’s face expression changed

i’ll go back to work
Marie walked away to her desk
