Hey my name is sunshine and am a viking correction am the chief daughter. I have two older brothers Roar he was just like his name love be the centre of attention. And then their was Toke, yeah my dad wanted at least one of his kids to be named after the God thunder.

Toke was well I don't know how to put it he was hard I I when mean his was hard to figure out. One day he kind the next he acts all clever and you know, my mum said it's face that he be back normal. Of course who knows what that means ok now my parents you have dad Harald, name meaning lord and ruler and dad try to live up to that name.

Then their my mum Randi look out for everyone and she kind, she can be scary when she needs to be. Then their me I guess their not much to say am eight years old I like drawing and writing, oh and am deaf. I know what you're thinking how can a deaf, well my mum taught me how to write and drawing to help me.

It did help but my brothers thought I was a waste of space. As for my father he just wanted to get rid of me in a good way. Like marriage me off to viking chief son. I know this because I saw mum and dad even know am deaf l can lips read. It's wasn't hard to learn lips read.

This is story am about to write is about me and how I become a warrior. It started when my mum took me to the back of the island so we could have some privately. It didn't last for long a unknown ship landed. The viking chief of the ship said that he well take over the land and kill anyone who refuses.

My mum told him you and what army. "Why me and this army " he said and he put his hand in the air and lots of boat arrived. My mum realizes we didn't stand a chance at least I think she didn't because she started to beg. The chief that he was welling to leave if she came with him as his wife.

At first I thought my mum would refused, but she looked at me and wrote in my notebook she gave me. And said in it "don't tell anyone until tomorrow". I wanted to shock my head but I nodded and agree. 

So mum was gone I walked back to the village I couldn't face father. So i went down to the beach instead of going in the great hall to eat. I throw in the ocean then after my third throw something throw it back.

Now any normal person could have ran but not me I throw it back and it comes back. This continue until seawater was shoot at my face. I laughed and saw a water dragon laughing with me at least I think it was laughing. I then noticed the dragon was hurt I then saw a torch to tell me to come home, I persuade the dragon to go in a cave by showing her the cave.

I put my hands to try make her stand then I turned around and went back to the village. Before I run back home I turned around to see if the dragon had obeyed and she had because there was no sign of her. I walked into my home my dad asked me where mum is he point her chair in the room.

Both of my brothers were already in bed, I wrote on my notebook that she want, to have some time herself and back soon am going bed. I did go to bed hope this was a bad dream and when wake mum well be get breakfast like she always does.

The next morning my father asked me again where mum was by point at her chair. I gave him my notebook I had already wrote down what happened yesterday.

Father read it and sit down looking defeat. Then my brothers come down asking where mum was. I at least think that what they saying Toke pick me up and me on his lap. This is why I didn't understand Toke he was kind when were in the house but, once outside Toke was cruel and mean. I think it was show, my father looked up and wrote on the note book. 

Once there was a crowd of people called dragon tamer. Supposedly they could talk to dragons and live for as long as a dragon live. Which was hundred years they lived in peace with dragon. Until at day a king from the mainland wanted to have a immortal child.

Now it would be hard to attack dragon tamer of course it is. They shrunk gold when they think out that the dragons go to a different island when they give birth. They too the woman's and kill the rest. They catching thirty woman. Ten kill themselves and the other were force to have his children.

Until two years later their a revolution that the king and his children, but the knight save the woman and free them. That this time I met your mother and we been together every since, and yes the villagers know. Roar picked up the notebook and asked dad if were dragon tamers.

He stung meaning he didn't know because he had never come face to face with a dragon before. 

My brother put me down and grabbed my notebook and told me to go out, because the adults had to talk. I was angry my brothers were only thirteen but I took my notebook and ran off.

When got outside I went to old man froch who was are healthy. I asked him to come with me down to beach. I thought he met rat me out but since the father people knew about mum I thought it was fine.

When we got there I noticed two baby dragons in bubble floating around the cave. Old man froch told me by wrote on the sand, that the dragon was gave birth water dragons gave birth outside the sea in caves.

Or so the reason why their bubbles is that they can't breath are air yet. "Thank you little one " said a voice in her head. I turn realise in was the dragon who spoke to me. Which means I was like my mum I was a dragon tamer.

So what my said was true does that mean I can change my father, mind of marriage l turned back to the cave where the dragon hide. Yeah if tell and show him I could change father and my brothers, so I ran back home to show my family that I could be helpful.

"What wrong little one"said old froch in the sand. I ben down and wrote "I wish I can do more for my family ". I look at the water dragon and draw the flag, I saw on the boats it was a skull with a helmet and a snake though it's mouth.

The water dragon looked then said in sunshine head that she knew that flag. I nodded got up and walked to the hall where everyone was gathered.

I knew dad hadn't worked it out yet because he said we don't trade with them. I open the doors no one noticed the dragon behind me and old froch. Until I was right behind father everyone was arguing be then they went silence. "Thank you at last now listen " said my father. "Mmm father behind you "said Toke.

Father turned around to see the dragon he was going for his sword then when he saw me he put his sword on the floor. Everyone followed him did the same I wrote in my notebook "she know the way. She show you where then she must return for her babies". 

Meanwhile my mother had arrived at her new cage. "Randi please this way " said the chief take her hand. He took her to his house to get ready for her life in her cage. Has she went inside the house she saw a dress hade up ready for her has if he knew he well have her. "You have two hours to get ready if not I put you in that dress myself and it well be rough "said the chief. And he left she was alone she walk over to the dress.

She wanted to rip it but she had to expect her new life. To stay alive for her family so she put on the dress "stay strong Randi your a dragon tamer proof it by stand up to him and show him am not scared". She slapped herself to snap out of her fear. 

Back at sunshine and her family they get ready to leave they knew they had a week. To get her back because wedding took a week to do. The water dragon Hurricane will guide them. Father told to stay and help the old and young while they were gone. I knew I was too young to help but I still wanted to do something.

So they left and I waiting for them to return on the Roar went up to father, "So now what are you going to do she a tamer she can't go and get married". "I know roar I haven't told anyone except the villagers because my wife will be here long after am gone". "Dad are you really okay with letting are sister be married off to someone she never met I mean I don't want her to alone all her life" said Torio. "Yes and no I talked to her about it when we return".
