The airport was crowded with a lot of fans and paparazzi the moment the news of Taehyung and Jungkook is coming back to Korea after 5 years.
Jungkook was once a popular soloist and Taehyung an actor before they got married.
The couple decided to leave everything behind when they choose to build a new beginning together
They left Korea without everyone knowing. The people only knew about it when they posted a picture of them in New Zealand.
Taehyung and Jungkook created a new world for the both of them, away from the world that they once used to. Away from the popularity.
They leave everything behind, and they will never think twice about doing it again.
They adopted a daughter during their first year as a married couple, but they never announced it to the world.
The couple didn't want their daughter to grow up in the spotlight and having people constantly watching her every move.
They want to give their daughter a normal life. Of course, they know that won't last long, and eventually, people will know about her existence.
But for now, they just want to be selfish and keep their daughter for themselves for a while longer.

That is why when Jimin told them that they need to go back to Korea, they got scared. They got scared all those years will go to waste when people start to invade their life again, starts to invade their world again.
They never wanted to back to Korea but Jimin and Yoongi are getting married and as both the couple's best friends they needed to go home and so they did.
Taehyung softly said when Jungkook didn't move.
The younger was already about to fall asleep on his shoulders if only Taehyung didn't speak.
Taehyung asked while they are walking out of the airport.
Jungkook just nodded at him as wrapped his arms around Taehyung's waist tightly and bury his head in the crook of his neck.
The moment they exited the place, screams erupted all over the airport as the camera flashes lit up the area in a blinding light.
They were taken off guard and had to shield their eyes from all of the bright lights before moving forward.
It has been years already since they encountered a situation like this, so it making them uncomfortable already.
So instead of greeting the people, the couple just waved their hands and the crowd and didn't look back anymore.
They walked to the private parking, where a van sent by Jimin, is waiting for them already.
As they open the door of the van, a small voice immediately welcomed them.
Taehyung and Jungkook smiled as they went inside the car.
Their daughter immediately climbed on Jungkook's lap as she wrapped her little arms around her father's neck.
They planned for their daughter to exit from the airport separately for her to avoid the chaos that just happened earlier and it good thing it worked.
No one even noticed her exiting the place since no one knew about her being the couple's daughter.

Around 10 in the evening, Taehyung arrived back at the hospital. He immediately went to Jungkook and kissed him on the cheeks before changing and focused his attention on his workload.
This has been his routine for the past years since Jungkook got into comatose for 2 years. He goes to his work in the morning and lets their friends stay with Jungkook, and he goes back at night to the hospital.
The hospital has been his home for the past years. He rarely goes back to their home because he doesn't want to leave his husband alone. He wants to be the first one Jungkook will see the moment he wakes up from his deep slumber.
Taehyung sighed heavily before closing his laptop. He sat beside Jungkook's bed and held his hands.

It's been two years, baby.

Do you think you have enough rest already?
He smiled sadly when he only received silence.

I miss you so much, Kook. I miss our road trips every weekend, the cooking sessions we do every morning, and our cuddle sessions every night. Please come back, Kook.
Taehyung, as usual, stayed up late talking to Jungkook for hours even though the latter doesn't respond to him. He talked to him for hours until he eventually fell asleep holding his lover's hands.
Taehyung froze the moment he saw Jungkook smiling at him. His heart feels like it stopped beating, as tears started welling up in his eyes.

he whispered with a shaky voice.
Jungkook opened his arms for him, and of course, Taehyung didn't waste any second and immediately hugged him. Taehyung hugged him like they had been apart for a long time, he embraced Jungkook pouring everything he felt for the past years.
Their arms clasped around each other and pressed their chests together, as warm tears flowed down his cheeks.

Jungkook laughed softly hugging a crying Taehyung in his arms.
Taehyung pulled away from the hug as his forehead creased while looking at his lover. He looked at him with so much confusion in his eyes.

Why are you saying sorry kook?

I'm sorry I have to leave earlier than we expected
Jungkook answered while wiping away some tears from Taehyung's cheeks. He fondly smiled at him while cupping his cheeks.

he asked for the second time.
Jungkook stayed smiling at him.

"He looked different."
Taehyung said in his mind. He looked so at peace, he looks so happy and contented already.
He patted the older's hair and kissed his forehand
He kissed him gently on the lips, he expresses all the love he has for Taehyung and makes him feel that he was the best thing that happened to him. His lips stayed there for a couple of minutes before breaking it.

Please be happy hyung. I love you so much, baby. I will wait for you okay?
Taehyung got more confused when Jungkook started walking away from him. He got scared for no reason. He got scared seeing the younger walking away from him, walking away from his life, and leaving him

He tried to run towards him, but it feels like he's not even moving from where he is. While Jungkook continued on walking away from him with a smile on his face.

Jungkook looked up before looking back to Taehyung.

That's the last thing Taehyung heard from the younger before he was engulfed by a bright light and awakened by a loud machine sound.
He froze when he saw the heart monitor showing flatlines. He stood there unfazed staring at the lifeless body of Jungkook being revived by the doctors. As Jungkook's heart stopped beating, Taehyung's heart changes forever.
Jungkook always wonders since he was a kid, how one becomes a star. He always tells Taehyung how much he wanted to become a star and shine the brightest in the night sky
And that night, Jungkook become one with the star, the star that will shine the brightest for Taehyung.
It's been 2 years since he lost Jungkook. He fully understood now the dream he had before Jungkook was declared dead by the doctors.
Jin asked when he saw Taehyung sitting in the car and not moving at all.

Taehyung shakes his head and smiled at Jin before going out of the car. They walked together to the place where his heart is. Towards the place where Jungkook and their friends are waiting for them.
he greeted the moment he arrived at his tombstone.

He took in a deep breath before sitting in front of it. He carefully removed the dried leaves on top of his tombstone, covering his, covering Jungkook's name.
his voice hitched as he bit his lips, trying to suppress the tears.
Jimin tapped his shoulders, telling him that they will give him privacy before they walked back to their cars.

He looked up in the sky as another tear rolled down to his cheeks

Taehyung walked away from him. He finally walked away from him and ready to let him go. He walked away, not knowing that Jungkook was there with him the whole time. Jungkook was there waiting for him for 2 years and now he can finally leave the place in peace.
