After getting ready and putting on my school uniform, I lazily walk out of my room and into the kitchen.

Lucky for me, the high school is right next to the elementary school! I ran, and when we reached Sophie's school, I dropped her off, pecked her cheek with a goodbye kiss and left for our school, hand in hand with Gabby. (Nick)

We are so dead! The school gate was blocked by the gym teacher. A huge gorilla man that makes you stand with a chair above your head for the whole homeroom period! (Nick)

We huddled behind a tree, hiding from those eagle eyes that watch for late students to punished. (Nick)

We both run as fast as we can. I can feel his dagger throwing glares on my back.

I snap back to reality when I hear the yelling of the gym teacher becoming closer. I stand up, bow my head and say, " I'm very sorry mister, I hope you didn't get hurt, I'm in a hurry and need to go now!"(Nick)

But for some reason the guy looked at me wide eyed. But I can't worry about that, I ran to a bench resting aside the gate wall. Using the bench as my booster I flung myself over the wall in one swift move.

Although neither me or Gabby got caught by gorilla man, we did get a warning from our homeroom teacher for being late.

Class starts like usual, but why was that guy shocked? Maybe no one ever apologized to him, or maybe he's just another rich snobb.

● AFTER SCHOOL ON HIS FIRST NIGHT JOB●

I work three night jobs, since we are living alone with no parents, we have to make do. First job for this long night, fast food restaurant!

Hello manager Wang! I called out. Anything you need me to do today?

This only last for two hours, the I finally get out and run to my next job at 5:30.

I work at a restaurant with my best friend Clark. We're the waiter and stand in assistant cooks, since there's no position open in the kitchen.

After this tiring job that ended at 8:00, the last job I work is as a bartender, I know what a lot of people think of me, a highschool student who's working in a bar. But Manager Wang got me this job, since the other two job weren't paying enough. But little did I know, I actually am pretty famous in luxurious bar for my martinis and cocktails.

A few minutes past

I slowly followed his gaze, just to be shocked at who it was!(Damon)

Nick, come over~! Cody shouted. As the kid smiled kindly and walked towards us. Cody, who was leaning on the bar table, whispered something in his ear.

Uh, well....you see...the last time the musician who was supposed to perform...but didn't show up. So they asked if anyone could play flute...and I only knew that one song, so... (Nick)

The kid cheeks tinted pink, how come this kids voice is so soothing?(Damon)

After a few minutes of persuasion, Cody got, Nick was his name, to play the only song he knew on the flute.

Everyone became silent at the sound of the music playing, like an enchantment to make every just watch and listen. Why is this melody so familiar? So beautiful, what's this feeling in my chest?

After the song, everyone clapped and cheered. This kid, he was flushed red from all the attention, so cute. Wait, cute?! The f*ck?!

After his performance I received a call having to do with our company, right before I left, I turned around and we made eye contact. He's not the one I'm looking for, their eye colors are different, I sighed in disappointment and left the bar.

On my way, I still can't believe that I played the flute in front of people again! What am I so stupid?! Uhnnnn.... and on top of that Sophie still has nightmares. If only those b*stards would have left us alone or kicked us out sooner... Sh*t stop thinking, I just have to get home soon.

I reached home, finally but all the lights were out, like usual. I dig in my pocket to pull out the key, and unlock the door.

Guess everyone is sleeping. Ugh, I'm so tired *yawn*.

I walk in the kitchen to find they wrapped up a sandwich for me, and left it on the table with a note-

I winced again recalling the memory that terrorized Sophie.

After Sophie went to sleep, me and Gabby went into the leaving room and sat down. No one spoke.

I flick my head over to Gabby, who is sitting next to, to realize she started balling her eyes, trying to cry silently, making sure to not wake Sophie up again.

I flinch, seeing that both of my sister cried again, and to make it worse, they were crying about our pass.

I put my arm around her shoulder, and pull her in to my shoulder.

Nick, how can you not cry? Do you not feel the pain of our past?

Well I still have my contacts in, so that would make me blind. I say with a small chuckle. And our past is the past. The only thing holding us from our happy ending. I said forcing a smile. (Nick)
