Never had I been in love with the rain. The rain with growling clouds and screaming thunderbolts. Everytime it rained it seemed to me as if it was cursing me, trapping me in those wild and vigorous drops. Everytime it happened I ran, ran to shelter myself away, ran away from its vigorous attacks, from its heavy drops which felt like as if it was the stone beating hard on me. so everytime I used to run ,with my hands on my head avoiding it, trying to block it and i would always get an absurd feeling of the rain mocking me and giving me a hard time on purpose then cursing it i used to run faster stumbling and falling....

On a normal day of July like always me trying to shelter myself kept running cause my umbrella flew away as if it was snatched by the wilderness of wind. "My mom will now lecture me for about an hour saying how responsile I am 😢"

Panting heavely then I stood under a large tree, smelling the smell of soil and it was the only thing I liked about rainy season.

Waiting patiencely I was with a sigh. I raised my head up and by the side of a cafe across the street I saw a girl playing happily in the rain messing her neat white dress in the mud. My eyes denied to look away from her. Beautiful she was as if she was the purest white lotus fluttering in the mud of black and brown. She had a beautiful face, was tall and had a long black hair. I kept starring her she was singing with the voices of rain and was dancing along with the gentle wind it seemed. then she too saw me. I got startled as our eyes had met so I looked away. Then I thought of giving her a big smile but she was not there. She dissapeared ,dissapeared in the single blink of my eye.

Finally it stopped to rain. The clouds in the sky were slowly fading away with the appearance of blue calm sky. Everytime I gazed the open ceiling above my head I would always think about how big the world is. How beautiful was it..

The horn in the bus rang. I hurridely ran for the bus in the bus stop. I was already getting late of course I wouldn't want to be there staring the sky no matter how beautiful it is.

I grabbed myself the last row in the bus. I was gazing outside the window feeling the freshness and smelling the scents of soil that occurs after it rained. On the way I again saw her. Yes it was her. She was sheltering a kitten who got wet and started to play with it beside a tree. So she was not only beautiful outside but also was from inside. A girl in white a girl as beautiful as she is...

.. WHO WAS SHE...

(Trinng Trinng) The alarm went off and I woke up. I lived in a small house in the Glory street with my family. "Lin , Lin "my small sister Lina called me. She had a problem with her homework so I started to teach her the problems which she was totally not focusing on(sighs)." Why don't you do your homework after coming back from school" ."But I have a genius brother like you" said she....I grined and went to have my breakfast as my mom was calling me....

It was my first day at school and I was a bit nervous but making my heart of stone I moved ahead. chest out and head high with the roar of lion....Yeah it was kind of rude when an elderly asked me the way to York street and I roared " I DON'T KNOW!!" Guess i should act normal after all....

I made my first friend Alex. He was a boy with his heart connected to sports...He would talk about sports everytime he saw me and I being compelled sat there listining his boring stories with my eyes wide really really open...He was quite famous among girls too. There were girls following him evertime and again I used to have my eyes really really wide open...

It started to rain out of nowhere. I observed outside the window and in amaze saw the same girl in white playing in the rain..I observed her for a long time and our teacher called for her. I was so excited to know that she was in same class as ours. Everyone stared at her as she was beautiful. I could even see drolls of some students which made me agitated. "MY NAME IS ALICE"

I started to fantasise about her, wanted her hand to be placed in mine. I longed for the dates which would never happen. I wanted to have a talk with her but for some reason she didn't came to school. For seven days, seven hectic days without a single glimpse for her. You would have seen me at that time how restless I was.

It was tuesday, the peaceful day again was overtaken by raging clouds. Such a bother it was to me to walk in the rain with an umbrella in my hand.

I was heading to school , yeah hurrying again. Then I saw her. This time she was in our school dress...Oh what a beauty she was.... Our eyes met and she gave me a huge smile . I smiled back at her shyly and nervously. She came towards me and asked me if I was the person sitting at the desk back at her . You would have seen my face at that time , I was simply in bliss. First I bit hesitated then replied a simple answer "YES"..

She insisted me to walk with her to collage. I got happy thinking she wanted to spend some time with me but on amusement she simply didn't knew the way to school.😑 .POOR ME..😢

I gathered some courage and asked her about her seven days of dissappearance.

She just gave me a quick look which I had not expected...I started to think the things I could talk with her but my mind couldnt generate any ideas. " My name is Lin" I said. Of course she didn't knew my name so I thought it was the right thing to say.

She laughed. I glanced at her. "Of course I knew it. I asked the teacher yestreday. "replied she. Oh what a fool had I made myself. I covered my eyes with hands out of embarrassment. Then after a long pause she said" Do you belive in magic"

"Ye.. . Yeah" I stammered. " Then what if I say you that I am a rain girl." She grinned.

" Then I guees I will ask for your to make me fall in love with the rain." I replied mockingly . Well it was a bit odd that whenever I saw her it was raining and she would be playing on it. Well yeah I didn't believe her nonsense but acted as if I had taken everything that she had said.

She then ran ahead of me giggling and turned back. I saw the sweet smile on passionate lips then she dissapeared in the rain. I got shocked and asked myself

"What I was seeing true? Is everything she said true? Or is it a silly prank that she is playing on me"

I threw my umbrella away and searched for her but couldn't find her. Then the rain which I had cursed for its tyranny rolled on my chicks slowly. It felt as if the drizzles were kissing me passionately. For the first time I faced my head up and felt the joy in the rain."WAS IT HER"
