Xyna's Room 4:48 PM

After beating the boss at the level 4 dungeon i went back to the home page to check on my mail since the bird came to me and notified me that i received an important message. The message was from the system, i was invited in a offline meet up of the most elite people in the game across the world.

Dear Goddess Queen Luxia,

Being one of our most elite player across the world, we have arranged a official offline meet up at May 15 to May 31, 2019 at the Shangshai Hotel, your room shall be given to you by the reception as long as you say your in game name. The official offline meet up shall be done at May 20, 2019, 10 AM at the Periwinkle event room. The theme shall be black and gold masquerade.

We are hoping for you're arrival.

I was thinking about going but I can't leave my duties being the heiress of the most prestigious family, even if it is only for less than 1 month.

My thoughts were cut off by my personal maid who knocked and then opened my door. "Young Mistress, your Father has called for you, he wishes to see you at his office and to meet some guests at the dinning hall." my personal maid, Sakura, told me politely.

"I understand Sakura, would you mind getting me my dress? Oh and Sakura, I already told you before, just call me Xyna when we're alone together." I told her with a smile, i mean its kinda awkward for someone older than me to talk to like I'm 60 years old already. "I understand Miss Xyna, I shall try to comply with your request. Now please hurry along, you're father always did hate waiting for a long time." and then she left for me to get ready.

And then i stared back at my computer and thought.

'Maybe I shouldn't think so much about it'

At Father's private office 5:44 PM

I lightly knocked and opened the door a little to take a peek before entering and spoke "Father? You asked for me?"

Father looked rather pale for the past few weeks running the business all on his own, while still searching for mother.

"You see sweetheart, being my only daughter and the heir of our family business I wanted to arrange a marriage proposal for you with my old friend's son" I stared at him with shock.

'I couldn't believe it, my own father wanted me to get married at the age of 15!' I couldn't understand him some fathers would rather their daughters be nuns than to get married. "please princess you can get engaged with him, get to know him and get married on your 18th birthday."

I knew I couldn't argue with my father and in the end I agreed with him. "I find it a ridiculous idea but I'll try to understand such frivolous request." Then side hugged him.

At the Dinner Hall 6:03 PM

We waited for the butler to fetch the guests at the lounge and led them to the dinner hall and greeted them.

"Ezekiel welcome! Where's Clarissa and little Liam? I was expecting them to be here with you, I even prepared some gifts for Liam" my father said while shaking hands with Uncle Ezekiel and lightly patting a young man beside Uncle Ezekiel who nodded at my father

While i gave a small bow to them as a welcome.

"Hahaha! Hajime its been a while and my you look like a very responsible woman now Xyna, last time I saw you you were still in diapers! Ah yes, unfortunately Clarissa and Liam couldn't be with us since Liam had a fever and Clarissa took care of him at home. But I appreciate the gift." While he smiled softly and produced such a cheerful unlike the young man besides him.

While having the dessert my father spoke, "Ezekiel, I want to propose an engagement for Xyna and Xyrus. For both our business shall bloom, and for our bloodline to continue."  Did I mention that our family and their family has some sort of royalty bloodline from a long, long time ago? No? Ok, never mind.

I stared at the guy named Xyrus, 'he seems to be suspicious as if he was hiding something from the whole world, whatever its not like I would agree to this guy, I mean I am about to get married in the game, thats the other reason why I wanted go to the event to meet my in game h--'

"—na Xyna"

My thoughts were once again cut off by my father calling to me and everyone present in the table was looking at me

Embarrassed, I looked at my father and spoke "what is it father? Did you needed something?"

*sigh* "just pay attention please and quit playing with your food" while shaking his head as he went back to talk to Uncle Ezekiel and I nodded in response and looked down at my food to see my crêpe or atleast what it was before it looked like mushed potatoes.

While the two elders talked about business and the marriage proposal, Xyrus and I just stole glances at each other and ate quietly.

As the night ended with Uncle Ezekiel agreeing with my father. From that moment I immediately knew that mine and Xyrus' life was already laid out and planned step by step as if we were pawns in a chess game.

I still couldn't believe it. Its too much for me first him now a marriage proposal along with the offline meet-up.

To have a little fun I went to my laptop and opened my game, The Legend of the Demons, just as i opened it a pop up message was shown, it was from, Diablo!

He wanted me to form an in game marriage with him.

••• (3 seconds delay)

"What?!!" Too shocked that the legendary Demon Lord of our server wanted to get married with someone like me.

"Miss Xyna, I heard a scream, are you fine?" Sakura asked while softly knocking on the door.

'Sakura, oh no!' I suddenly got up from the floor since I fell down from my chair, and shouted an I'm fine to Sakura. When I heard her footsteps leaving I then looked out of my window and thought.

Who could've knew that he would be my online husband, I never expected it although I am the 2nd player in the ranks and am nearing the 1st player.

The only person beyond the ranks was a demon class, and in this server there was only one ultimate demon who was beyond the ranks and was known to work alone or with his teammates, but gosh I was surprised when he asked me to marry him, even if he told me it was for the 110th celebration of the game and since I was the strongest female in the battle ranks.

The server told us that there would be an in game couple battle across all of the servers. At first I didn't mind it since I wasn't married yet this pleasant but shocking proposal, automatically made me join the contest. It was both scary and exciting. The said contest is held on April 16, 2019 to April 22, 2019 but a semi-battle to see which couple is to join in the contest and to represent your server is on April 10, 2019 to April 12, 2019.

But with Diablo, the demon lord in this server, I was convinced that we were to win with no problem but there was also a chance that their demon lord is married to the strongest female in their server.

Me and Diablo have yet to get married since he wanted to prepare for it and even picked an auspicious date. I didn't know why he still needed to prepare for it and made it such a big deal.

He even announced it to the world chat! The Demon lord who never used the world chat before and people immediately spread the wedding like a wild fire across our server.

I mean we could've just gotten some certificate rather than to host an extravagant banquet for so many people. But, he is the strongest and only demon lord in this server.

Then again such person cant have a petty wedding.

    After day dreaming about the Demon Lord my mind was brought back to my senses, and I went downstairs to eat my breakfast. As i got down, i saw my father reading the newspaper at the head of the table. I sat down beside him and greeted him a pleasant morning, only to recieve a hum in reply from my father. So i fixated my eyes on my breakfast and ate silently.

    In the middle of my meal, father suddenly spoke. "Sweetheart, i know you detest the marriage proposal, but give him a chance. After all you still have 3 years before making your decision." I knew it would be selfish of me to disagree, so i agreed to give him a chance but i asked for a condition in exchange. "Father, i agree. Only if he cooperates with me, he's as cold as an ice!" Father laughed but thought for a minute and then agreed, soon after he left to go to his office.

    After eating my meal, i went to the garden with my tea in my right hand and a book in the other. As i sat down, i begun to read my book. A few hours later Sakura told me that it was already lunch time. I stretched my body a bit and headed inside to eat. When father arrived he was wearing the most happiest expression i've seen from him. Confused, i asked him. "Father dearest, what are you happy about? I've never seen you this happy since my 9th birthay." My 9th birthday, the last time i saw mother. "Well, i spoke with Ezekiel earlier, and we agreed to have a banquet this April to celebrate and announce your engagement with Xyrus." My.Engagement.With.Xyrus?! No huh, no way in hell.

    "I thought we were only dating til my 18th birthday?? And beside announcing it? We haven't even spoke to each other for even 1 sentence!" Sadly for me it seems like my father was already fixated with the idea of Xyrus and me. So in the end i knew i couldnt do anything. "By the way, you guys are going to be at the same grade and university this incoming school year. He's also going to pick up and bring you back here everyday." He's going to do what now?!

Xyna's room 2:01 PM

    After i ate i headed up stairs to take a relaxing bath so that i can rethink about everything thats happening in the past few days. I am going to be married personally to a guy who's practically a block of ice and in a game with the infamous Demon Lord. Suddenly my phone rang. It was my bestfriend, Tiffany Sheng, she and her brother are the only children of Mr. Sheng, the CEO of the Sheng Corporation. They also have a partnership with our company.

     I met little Tiffany when my parents took me to a party 4 years ago. Tiffany was crying in a small corner without a lot of people and i talked to her. There we started our friendship. And then there's her outgoing brother, Thomas, or also known as Tommy Sheng. He is only 2 years ahead of us. So we still see him from time to time at our university.

Call Convo:

"Whats up Tiff?" I questioned. We dont usually talk much this days since she's out of the country this summer.

"I heard youre engage! Bro Tommy told me. Is it real? Is he lying?!" Bro Tommy i wanna skin you alive!! (Rage mode activated)

"Its true.." i answered defeated

"Anyways are you home? How was Paris? Did you buy me anything?" I quickly changed the topic. Luckily for me Tiff is quite a talker, as long as its about herself. She easily forgets about the topic beforehand.

    After chatting with Tiffany, we planned to meet tomorrow for some tea at our favorite tea shop in Country F. Then i opened my laptop and the Lord of Demons. Right when i opened it. Someone messaged me, it was my old lover in the game, Joshu. We had an option in the game between lovers and being married. Lovers which was temporary and married being permanent and ever since we ended our relationship, we havent spoken since then. So i wonder why he wants to talk to me now. Apparently he chose the Servers #1 Beauty in the game as some people think that I'm a male using a female character, after all i dont post my picture online as it may cause a scandal all over the world.

    I could practically imagine it, 'the daughter from the most renowned family is playing the game called Lord of

Demons.' As the headline in almost every news.

    "Luxia, wasnt it enough? I gave you compensation and you denied it but why do you have to slander Kazen?" Kazen? I dont even talk to her. After suspecting that there was something wrong, i checked the servers' forum. The hottest topic was 'Goddess Queen Luxia is slandering Goddess Kazen that she stole from her!' Stealing from me? If theyre talking about Joshu, I dont even care about him. After all i only agreed to be his lover for the missions and quests.

    Just because she's the #1 Beauty in our server, it doesnt mean that she can belittle me. Just you wait Kazen, after all i am getting married to the Demon Lord, even your petty Joshu is no match for him. He did announce the wedding but then again, I dont think its in the forum. I shouldnt get angry at her. After all i am marrying Diablo and she's ruining my image, making me sound so petty.

    Diablo, I still cant get you off of my mind, all of these feels like somesort of dream. I still cant beleieve that we're getting married in a few days! It would most likely be the most grandest wedding of all history. And little did i know it wont be the only grandest wedding i'll have.

    I went back to to the game and then i was requested for a battle with Kazen? A battle huh? Challenge accepted! 'Goddess Queen Luxia accepts Goddess Kazen's Challenge.' And then immediatly went to the Heavenly Palace to see the battle. "Why did you challenge me?" I asked her. Battle shall start in 5 seconds. Count down will start now. "ˆGoddess Queen Luxia huh? 4 seconds Such a posh name for a slut like you dont you think?" She said while smirking 3 seconds 'That little.' 2 seconds I am officially royaly pissed. 1 second And with that we started our battle.

3rd Person's POV

    "Hey dont you think Goddess Kazen was too brave for her own? I mean she just offended Goddess Queen Luxia, she's like the strongest among all of the goddesses in our server!" Player #1 told Player #3. "I dont know, the forum did say that Goddess Queen Luxia offended Goddess Kazen first, by slandering her by telling the people that Kazen stole Joshu from her." Player #2 told them, and they all agreed. Player #3 then felt somesort of chill behind him but didnt pay any mind since the battle was starting.

    But little did they know, that there, the Demon Lord that was rarely seen out of his dungeon, was there. Angrily listening to them, with only one thought.

3rd person's POV

After the battle, it was expected that goddess Kazen lost against Goddess Queen Luxia. But that didnt end there. A few minutes later another battle challenge was requested.

'Demon Lord Diablo challenges God Joshu for an official battle'

An official battle, unlike Goddess Queen Luxia and Goddess Kazens' match theirs wasnt an official match so the loser wont lose rank. In an official battle is used when u want to rank up or want your enemy to rank down. Its a risky battle and a tough one.

God Joshu was well aware of the challange but was too scared to accept it. He worked hard to reach this level and if he agreed to this official battle his rank shall lower then all his efforts have gone to vain, but he still couldnt say no, if he did say no, he'll be regarded as a coward in the whole server. And his pride wouldnt allow him so.

'God Joshu accepts Demon Lord Diablo's challenge'

"Omygosh! Is this real? Am i dreaming? We can really watch our Lord to fight? Hurry! Take a video of it." The people were in an uproar to see the battle.

While Luxia was clueless as a fish, a player who was on the way to the match saw her. "Goddess Queen Luxia, what are you doing here? Arent you going to go and watch the Demon Lord's fight with God Joshu?" He asked her in a hurry. "Battle? Where?" Luxia asked the player as she was surprised that there was a battle between the two. "You dont know? Hurry, come with me. Its already starting, if we dont hurry we might not see them anymore."

    When they reached the dungeon of fire, Luxia immediateley went in front and saw Diablo, while Joshu was on the ground nearing death. At first she was confused why Diablo was doing this. Suddenly he turned his head towards Luxia and winked.

    Soon Diablo spoke in the most scariest tone ever. "You dare bully my wife." Joshu who was confused, stood up and asked "who's your wife?" That part itself angered Diablo and almost annialated him on the spot, but his dearest Luxia was watching him and she might think differently of him after if he did do so.

    Lets just say not only did God Joshu lowered his rank, he was now also in need of a therapy and may or may not have obtained a slight trauma.

    Luxia wanted to ask Diablo why he did it and made such a fuss, but thought against it, as she didnt want to bother him, after seeing the match, and she also had a slight guess of why he did it but she didnt want to assume. Then she suddenly remembered about his proposal, she knew it was to happen soon and thought that it was only for the couples battle.

    She kept thinking about his proposal, well all in all she just kept thinking about him.

Xyna's POV

    After logging out of the game. I took a shower and then drank some tea. While writing in my game notes there was a knock on my door and then it opened, it was Sakura.

     "Miss Xyna, your father is requesting you at his office." Wonder why he needs to talk to me, is it about mother or is this about the engagement again. Either way lets get this done so that i can do my notes about the game and continue reading.

    When i reached fathers' office i just went in, but i didnt expect to see Xyrus at my dads' office. This time he was alone, Uncle Ezekiel wasnt with him. When i entered both of them were looking at me. Father was a bit cheerful while Xyrus looked well he didnt have any expression in his face.

And so i sat down on the sit opposite to Xyrus. "Why did you call me father? Is there something you need?" I asked him without greeting him nor Xyrus. Father didnt seem to mind and said "well i thought why not invite Xyrus over so that you kids well teens could go and bond with each other, while getting to know each other." I blanked out, me and Xyrus, bond and get to know each other really? Well i guess it wont hurt to get to know him.

But truth be told I'm curious, how is it that from how Uncle Ezekiel and father interact it seems like they knew each other for so long plus father said that they were old friends. How come i never met Xyrus before, even at social parties. I met Uncle Ezekiel at parties, even baby Liam, but not Xyrus. This might actually be the perfect oppurtunity to ask him about that.

We went to the garden and asked Sakura to prepare us some afternoon tea and pastries, he, during the whole time of walking to the garden was dead silent, but not the awkward silent, more like a calm chill silent.

I started sipping my tea when he spoke "my name is Xyrus Charles." I didnt hear the last part he said though, but i dont think its that important. "I know, and i suppose you also know my name." He only nodded in reply didnt expect him to do the first move though. "Umh, i want to ask you a question." I told him, he then looked at me and nodded as if telling me go ahead "well you dont have to asnwer but how come i dont see you at any social party?" After i said that he seems to freeze a little halfways of drinking his tea and instead he placed down his tea and said "not the right time" then he continued to sip his tea.

    Not the right time huh? I'll make sure he tells me someday. We continued chatting, drinking and eating until it was time for dinner, well more like me asking questions about him and he either nodding or speaking in very short sentences, but it was fine since the atmosphere was very calming and at ease.

    Sakura called us to join father in the main dining hall for dinner. When we reached there father seems to be in a good mood probably since Xyrus and i looked like we got to know each other better. When we sat down father talked to Xyrus about how Liam was considering he and his mom couldnt join us last time since he was sick and so the conversation dragged on with me commenting a few times in their conversation.

After dinner Xyrus had to go home now since it was already late and he had to travel home. When he left, father asked me questions on what we talked about but all i told him was "its a secret" and then i went to my room to do my routine and when i was about to go to bed i felt like i forgot something.
