"SAR!!! Wake up! You're late for the first day of school!" Welp, that's my mom. She tends to get annoyed whenever I don't wake up on weekdays or basically ANYTHING that doesn't really do good on me. "Ughh....What time is it?" As I checked my phone to see what time is it, my eyes opened wide as if I saw a ghost "Oh, freak. I'm late" I got up quickly as possible. Brushed my teeth, took a bath, wore my clothes, and went straight to school.

Hi! I'm Sarraine Hungston. I am basically the epitome of a person with different sides. I can be mysterious, athletic, kind, and sometimes a bad girl. One true personality of mine is that I am a genuine person. Though, I have no self-confidence and- Voila, I came there at 8:50am, and my class hours starts at 7:45! "For goodness sake, I haven't even eaten breakfast and this is what I get" I rushed to my classroom and EVERYONE was staring at me. Maybe because I was so late, maybe because I'm new to Daxville Highschool, or maybe because I have really dark undereyes. Well, I didn't care at all. "You are very late, Miss" said by the teacher. "Apologies, Sir." I said. "Since you're new today....and late. Why don't you introduce yourself?" he said. I nodded and introduced myself "Hi, I'm Sarraine. I hope we can be friends in the future." "Very well, you may take the back seat since you're late." I agreed and sat on the last row. As the teacher was discussing about the topic, someone interrupted me.

"Nice to meet you, Sarraine." with his hand gesturing for a handshake "Who are you?" I asked. "Woah, so rude. I thought you wanted to make acquaintances" he said shockingly. "You thought, I just didn't want to be mean." I said. "I'm Kaiden, Kaiden Delson, I will be your seatmate from now on." I gave him a cold shoulder and said "Ok." He retracted his hand and said "Didn't know you were this cold-hearted." I said "Actually, I'm not that cold-hearted once you get to know me. I just have different sides." He said "Well then, let's get to know each other." "Sorry, I don't really think of wanting friends right now." I said. "Why not? It's fun to have a ton of friends" he said with a worried voice. "I just don't want to" I said not wanting to face him. "Well...that's fine. I ain't giving up though" he said as if he's sure. I smirked "Let's see about that."

In my mind, I was surprised to see a person who is persistent in being my friend. Mostly, they neglect you once you give a bad impression, but for him. It's not. The bell rang and it was lunchtime. I went out to buy food since I didn't eat breakfast in the morning. Once I bought my food, I sat in my seat and ate quietly. Then, I heard a loud muttering noises outside my classroom...

I didn't want to check it out, but at the same time I was curious, so I did. "Typical girls" I said as I saw three bullies bullying the poor girl. I was enraged, for I had experienced the same thing in my prior life. People around me were just standing and muttering, not even standing up to the little girl. It made me filled my eyes with wrath. I knew I had to do something.

"Hey, are you okay?" I shouted and walked up to the girl whose skin is filled with bruises. "Mind your own business" the bully said. I looked up to her face with a stern look. "I haven't seen you here before, are you new?" she said. I didn't say a word. I only held the girl in my arms to let her know that she's safe. "Are you not gonna talk?" she said. My face was still austere. "Very well, listen up girl. You shouldn't mess with me. You don't know who I am." she said. I rolled my eyes and said "Do I need to know you? I'm not that obedient to listen to you."

She said with a devilish smile "I'm Kaitlynn Relvone. The most talented, richest, and prettiest girl in Daxville High, so you better play it by the book before I make your life a living hell." I smiled for a slight second and became grim "Are you scaring me? Well, listen up b*tch. I'm not scared, and I obey when I want to." Her face became exasperated "Did you just call me a-"

Then, the bell rang. "You can go to your designated section now" I said to the girl who got bullied. She thanked me and ran away without even saying her name. I walked up to my classroom as Kaitlynn said "Just you wait, little girl." I didn't want to do anything bad in the first day of school, but Kaitlynn kept trying me. So, I wanted to annoy her. I turned on my back, gestured the shape of an "L", put my tongue out, and did a cross eye saying "Blehhh" then walked to my seat.

Then, I saw a person sitting on my desk as if it was his. I went near to his back, crossing my arms. Kaiden saw me and said "Hey, look behind you." He looked back and got scared immediately. He stood up and said sorry, bowing to me as if I was a queen. I sat on my seat, not saying anything to him. "Well, Kaid. I'm gonna go back now." he said. Kaiden agreed and waved goodbye to him.

I looked to my unfinished lunch and thought "Ughhh.. I didn't finish my lunch😑 Oh well, I'll just eat it at home." I close my lunch with the cap, and placed it inside my bag gently. Kaiden glanced at me and said "You okay?" "Why wouldn't I be?" I said. "Oh, nothing. You looked mad when you were standing up to the little girl" he said. "Ohhhh, that. I was mad. I hate people bullying" I said looking down. "Ohhh, okay. Soo.. are we friends now or what?" he said curiously.

I looked at him as he was smiling so brightly like he achieved something he was wanting to achieve. I said "Umm... I don't know. Not really." He turned gloomy and said "Oh....okay, that's fine." Then, the teacher came and introduced herself "Good afternoon class, I'm Olivia Welchis. You can call me Ms. Welchis." After that, she discussed the topics about Biology. Next, dismissal came...

I grabbed my bag and took a scroll around the school since I'm new there. I was enthralled at how big the school. There were elevators up to the rooftop, stairs for alternate use. Then I saw a room that caught my eye, it was a room filled with musical instruments. I am a lover for instruments. I love how an instrument can describe a feeling whether melancholic or ecstatic. I went in to try them out.

My favorite musical instrument is the piano, so I checked to see if there were any pianos around and lucky me, I found one. I walked towards it slowly, sat on the piano bench. I opened the piano cover and started playing half of the song of "River Flows In You" by Yiruma. I also played the ukulele after playing the piano. I played "Let Her Go" by Passenger. I also sang since that song is my most favorite song.

I saw no one outside the room, so I kept on playing and playing. Then, someone opened the door "Who are you? and why are you here?" I instantly turned back and stood up "Oh, sorry. I thought no one was here." I looked at the person and my goodness, it was the person who sat on my desk. "Mysterious girl?" he said. "Oh, it's you..." I said in a low voice.

He laughed "What a coincidence, the first time I met you was a bad incident. Let me introduce myself. I'm Mason, Mason Sintelle." Like Kaiden, he also gestured me with a handshake. I bowed "Hi, I'm Sarraine, Sarraine Hungston." He retracted his hand since I refused to give him a handshake. I'm not one to shake people's hand. "Are you and Kaiden friends?" he said. "Oh no, we're just seatmates" I said with a subtle smile. "Ohhh, he is a friendly guy I would say."

I nodded and took my bag. "You're also good at playing instruments" he said. I turned back, flabbergasted that he heard me playing the instruments and singing "Wait...You heard me play a while ago??" I said. "Yah...I did. It was awesome." he said smiling. "Umm...Can you keep this a secret? I don't like people knowing I can play these stuffs.." I said with a tender voice. He began to think "Hmm...what do I get?" I knew that he wanted compensation "What do you want?"

"Hmmm.... Wanna be my friend?" he said. I looked at him with a perplexed face "W-what?" I said. "Be my friend" he said. "Isn't that quite a puerile request?" I said confusedly. "Do you wanna make the request difficult?" he said. I nodded with disagreement and said "No no no, sorry. I'll accept your request." He gestured me a handshake again. I didn't know if I should reject it or accept it, but since he's my friend. I slowly put my hand out and we both shaked our hands gradually.

"Well, I have to go now. Byee" I said. He waved his hand goodbye as well. I again took a leisure walk down the halls to see all the rooms. Once I got down to the ground floor, I walked home. My home isn't that far, just 5 minutes or less. After I got home, my mom said "Why did you go here late?" It was 6:30 at that time, but my mom counts it as "late." "I walked to see the school. Where's Dad?" I said. "He's sleeping, change your clothes now and eat your dinner." she said. I obeyed and did what she asked me to.

Again, I obey whenever I want to. After doing all those things, I brushed my teeth and went to bed to sleep. I had my mind wander everywhere. It suddenly made me think how friendly those guys were. It brought a smile to my face and went to sleep as I close my eyes...
