"OK Diana, I'll be there in some few minutes. Just give sometime to pack up."

After answering a call from her class mate, Claudia immediately let her phone find its way to her kingsize bed.

In a sophisticated room, made of grey, the atmosphere was quiet and sound. Her bed was well made up with a pink flowery bed spread, exposing her love for flowers, and yellow as her favourite color.

Claudia just finished packing and was about to dress up when she suddenly realised she had just left her laptop in the other room.

A chilly feeling filled her body each time she thought of encountering her husband or even take a glance of his fierce, yet charming eyes.

"I don't wish to go there, but my files are all stored in my laptop. I can't just dissappoint the others because I was a coward.By the way, if I guessed right, Devison would only be here in two hours time; so I have enough time to get my laptop and go away before that chauvinist comes back."

She quickly took hurried steps towards Devison's room with fear and yet a huge determination to achieve. Once she found herself in that spacious room, she didn't take long to finally have her eyes on the target of her so called fatal mission.

Great joy filled her heart when she grabbed the blue apple laptop and held it tight in her arms. However, that smile soon vanished from her face when the tall charming guy stepped in.

Devison was built in good athletism, long eye lashes and a muscular body, he wore a black suit buttoned as to printing his slim shape, he could be a star in the show business if he wished.

Of course he was every girl's dream, however the blue eye Claudia felt like her heart was going to leap out of her heart and fall to her feet the moment their eyes met.

Cold sweat drilled down her body and she couldn't really determine the right tempetature at that moment.

"What a surprise, isn't this my dear Claudia" Devison said with a cunning smile curving his lips.

At that moment when he saw the beautiful Claudia, still dressed in a short night gown, one which exposed her sylphlike body. Her collar bone could clearly be seen at first glance.

Devison couldn't help but look at her perfect body curve, as well as her smooth and lovely exposed legs.

"I'm sorry.... I didn't know you would be back at this time." Claudia spoke with a shivering voice, trying all ways to get away from his gaze.

"Do you need my help?"

Devison asked, closing the door behind him and took few steps towards Claudia, totally ignoring her explanation about her sudden presence in his room.

"You don't need to give me any further explanation, this is also your room afterall."

Devison said

"I don't mean to bother you any further, I'll just take my leave asap."

"Really, so soon, won't you stay a little longer with your dear husband?"

Devison asked, taking slow steps towards Claudia, yet each step ahead was each step backward on her side. Less did she expext to meet with the bed which made her fall, letting her reflex react and pulling Devison by the collar, they fell together with him above her.

"I'm sorry I didn't do it on purpose."

Claudia said hoping she would be understood, yet Devison just replied with a smile.

"What an irony, babes.My mind has the contrary, so how about answering your request.

" What...What are you going to do?"

"What else than fulfilling my duty as a husband and yours as my wife."

Everything went so fast and Claudia didn't have time to react, his soft lips pressed to hers for a passionate kiss. Their hands interwined, Claudia felt her body temperature increasing abruptly. And she felt insulted by the man above her, but she couldn't let herself go on with those chronic kisses and caresses from him.

Claudia struggled to stop him from crossing the line.

"No! Let go of me, I don't want to..."

She screamed in tears.

"What! Are you still rejecting me even after all these time. "

"Let go!"

"What the heck is wrong with you? I'm your husband for goodness sake, not any type of random stranger."

"I don't care, I still don't want you to touch me!

She kept weeping bitterly, making Devison the guilty one and the cause of the innocent girl's tears. But he couldn't help but speak up his mind.

" What is wrong with you, do you want to replace me and give your virginity to the next passerby or are you just acting?"

"You know that's wrong and there was a time I would have gladly given myself to you, body and soul.But you betrayed me, and broke my heart into pieces, you made a fool of me. I hate you Devison Mingfred, I hate you for making me believe in illusions."

Pissed off by her attitude and running tears, Devison angrily stood up and walked out of the room, thereby leaving Claudia in tears. Claudia was in so much pain, yet she just curled up on the bed and kept weeping.

"Why...why did you have to make me believe in love and later make it an illusion, just a dream. I hate you so much Carl Devison Mingfred!"

Tears ran down to her cheek nonstop at the thought of the pains that pierced her chest and cut through her continousely like sharp blades.

She wondered why the wave was so cruel to carry away her unlimited joy and transformed her life into a glass of sorrow.

With a blackout towards a journey of retrospection, the images of joyful times still flaoted after being washed away by the wave.

The past won't stop mingling in minds everyday; that same past of discovery, curiosity, envy and emotions.

That same time when Claudia was still about to open a new book of her emotional life and start writting the pages of destiny.

"OK, that was the last math problem to be solved"

Claudia said, dropping down her pen and stretching her body.She was dressed in a school uno

uniform; Black skirt above her kneel with a shirt and black shoes accompanied by imaculate white socks underneadth.

She looked quite like a perfect high school girl, still ignorant about the outside world and its inconveniency.

She sat beside Lewis who was one of her best friends. Lewis paid more attention to Claudia's notebook while she just stretched herself.

"Quite an achievement, Claudia."

Lewis said

Yeah, I really worked hard on these equations, but it was also thanks to you.Though , I still have these other exercises, which isn't a duck soup ."

"I would gladly help you, but I'm afraid time is no longer on our side"

Yeah, that's true, I didn't realise how time actually flies.

"So how about coming to school tomorrow and helping me out." Claudia said, paying great attention to her wrist watch.

"But Claudia, tomorrow is Sunday and we aren't permitted to come to school on Sundays."

Claudia was dissappointed about the current situation which left her in no advantage, because both the school and her home were unavailable for her to get help from Lewis.

Her assignment needed to be done and submitted by early rising's monday.

"How about coming over to my home and we'll work on your assignments?"

Lewis said

"Yeah, but I don't wish to bother your parents with my presence. What if they have negative thoughts about me and more if they don't like me?"

"Silly girl, why do have to think so much?"

Lewis flicked her Claudia's forehead and gave her a warm smile.

"You don't need to bother yourself about that. My parents would probably had loved you if they met you ?"

"What do you mean by would have?"

"Because I don't actually live with my parents."

"Then I presume you live with your uncle or aunty."

"None of the above."

"Then with your grand parents."

"I only lodge with my elder brother in his apartment. But he might not be at home the whole of tomorrow."

"So that means we shall be left alone."

"Yeah, are you scared?"

"Ridiculous, why would I be scared? You're maybe a boy, yet not any type of random rascal. You're my best friend and like a brother to me. So how can I be scared of you?"

Lewis gave her a warm smile at her words, yet a deep feeling filled his heart when Claudia walked away after cuddling his head.

After being seperated in elementary school, with no friendly relationship, Lewis met his class mate in high school

Both strangers became good friends later. What more they became best friends in a short while after their first meeting in high school as batchmate from thesame elementary school.

Always ready to help each other as long as it was in their power.Their friendship could be determined almost perfect, because perfection could be too exagerated in terms...

The next day of the planned visit, Claudia found her way to Lewis' home with the help of Lewis' guide.

"You're welcome to my home, please come in Claudia." Lewis said , shifting towards the other side for her to make her way in his house.

"Thanks, your home is quite welcoming. The furnitures and decorations are so beautiful. For a boy's place, I have to admit I'm quite impressed.Your mother is really good at decorating a home, it's so amazing."

"Actually, everything here is done by Devison"

Claudia was quite puzzled when she heard about Devison, but it didn't take her long to understand Devison was actually Lewis' elder brother that he had been talking about in school.

"Devison is an architect,so he also works on designing homes. He worked hard to get this apartment, while I'm just lodging here to be close enough to school."

"That sounds rational."

"Just sit here, I'll go get something for you."

"Do you need help?"

"No, you're my guest, so please make yourself comfortable, I'll be right back."

Claudia nodded and watched Lewis disssappear in the kitchen. Claudia suit herself by taking a comfortable sit on the sofa.

Abruptly an idea came to her mind. She made up her mind to explore the house directly to Lewis' room.

Claudia had no bad intention,she only wished to determine the state in which Lewis' room was found.

Last time he visited her home, he mocked at her messy room, so she took few steps up stairs to determine if his was better than hers.

After making up her mind , she diected her steps towards the first room that she saw.

She knew it wasn't good to intrude, yet she had already gone that far and didn't want to give up so easily.

Claudia gave up on her hesitation and pushed the door...

Claudia finally made her way into the expected room with hopes she would find reasons to bring up criticisms over her best friend. However, she was under skock when she found herself in a well organised room.

The aura in the room was as sad as the painted plain walls. In the middle of the room lied a huge family bed, not far was also a long lenght wordrobe, with a door next by it, she guessed it must be leading towards the bath room.

Since it wasn't her center of attention, Claudia walked round the room looking at every little arrangements.

It was quite a disgrace to compare her messy little room with such a breathtaking room.

"Wow, this is really amazing, it is above my expectations."

Claudia said;

"What kind of expectations, if I may know?"

and immediately she heard a male voice behind her, it was certainly not that of Lewis.

Once she turned towards the Unknown voice, she saw a good looking guy with dark hair and lovely grey eyes.

He was dressed in blue jersey accompanied with black slim trousers. His long legs and muscular arms gave him a perfect male shape with his slim curve.

"Have you suddenly become mute or you are simply dumb to answer."

His appearance was lovely, but his words were fierce and cold, freezing her heart with fear as Devison took slow steps towards her.

Her heart began beating faster than she could count. She felt a warmth and cold temperature filling her body.

Even at this point, she couldn't explain why she was suddenly captivated by the cold guy standing in front of her.

" Are you going to speak up, what type of expectations can a burglar have?"

Devison said,

" What!... Sorry sir, but you're deluding yourself, I'm not a burglar"

Claudia said after gathering enough courage to confront Devison.

Unexpectedly Devison kept approaching her till she found herself caught by the wall. He wall slammed her using his left hand and there by showing his authority over her.

" If you're not, then tell me what you are and why you're in my room?"

"Your.... your room...you mean this is your room?".

At that moment, Claudia felt she had made to wrong choice by taking the freedom to explore arround and now she could only try to appologise.

"Are you trying to play the innocent or rather the ignorant angel?"

"I'm sorry, I didn't know it was your room, I admit my mistake, please accept my sincere apologies. I shall now take my leave, please excuse me..."

At that she thought it had all ended and she'll walk out of Devison's room asap. The moment she reach out her hands towards the door, Devison banged the door at her face.

A sudden tension of fear evolved in her heart and she just wished she could turn into a bird and flee away but reality wasn't so imaginative.

" Burglar, where the hell do you think you're heading to? I don't think I have given you the permission to leave yet, so you're gonna stay here and be judged."

"Huh!"

Claudia exclaimed in hearing his cold voice, her body suddenly trembled out of nervouseness.

She agreed that she was on the wrong and had already appologised for it, yet she couldn't figure out why Devison won't let go so easily.

Even if she was scared by his fierce look, she felt it wouldn't be good to let herself suppressed by him, no mater who he was.

"Listen sir, I fully admit being in the wrong because I permitted myself in your room. But I already explained it was a mistake, and I appologised for that already. However I won't acquiesce to your insults, because I'm not a burglar and I haven't taken anything from here."

" If that is the case, then prove it."

"You can check by yourself and you'll see if something went missing."

"One can never be aware of a missing piece in a vaste room, but it's easier to trace it right from the source. So why not just strip you off and see."

At the verge of breaking down, Claudia couldn't imagine what would happen to her if she doesn't escape from the one she considered a chauvinist.

When she less expected, Lewis who had heard his brother's last words, he immediately came in to protect Claudia like a shield.

"That's enough Devison, please don't scare her any further. It's my fault if she got lost and found herself in your room, please blame it on me and not her."

"Lewis !", Claudia exclaimed with a radiant smile of a girl that had just been saved from the lion's claws.

" I see, so she's your friend?", Devi son asked

"Yes, and we had known each other for long now , Claudia would never take anything that doesn't belong to her, please she...."

"Never mind Lewis, it was all my fault and so I take the blame on my curiosity."

Claudia said , with hopes that she would be heard.

" Whatever, I've had enough of this game. It seems my silly brother always get's entangled with interesting people.I just hope you won't fall for me."

"What!"

Claudia exclaimed in hearing his last sentence, but Lewis suddenly came in between Claudia and Devison.

Though being blood brothers, Claudia could clearly sense a kind of ressentment between the brothers.

Just like they had been figting over an invisible source in their whole life. The nature of their life seemed to have created a boundary to their fraternity, with no possible bridge to bring both brothers together.

Claudia couldn't explain the awkward feeling she felt at that moment and how did a normal day turn to such an encounter, was it just fate trying to express itself, or just a coincidence that she needed to close her eyes to?

Claudia thought about it all over again once she retired home. Flashes of that event still turned in her mind as if she was still presently witnessing it.

She was even more intrigued by the feeling she had at the thought of Devison .

'Is it really what I'm thinking about? Probably not.'

Claudia replied to her question and lay on her bed, finally closing her eyes with hopes everything would turn to normal and her questions were just useless.
