Chapter 1 

Story begins here

DD\=DareDevil, a popular comic book sold all around the world with 6 full seasons and the 7th coming soon written and drawn by Joo He, a surgeon working in Kang Pil hospital. Hong Joon, the male lead of the comic Joo Hee writes, is a very serious demon hunter and detective. All of Hong Joon’s family died on the night of his competition about solving mysteries in crime scenes with other contestants from all around the world to determine who is the greatest detective. While he was at the competition a very strong and scary demon broke into their house and took the souls of all of his family members including his sister, younger brother, Mom, and Dad. Before the demon leaves with all of their souls he took all the family with him and left fake clowns that look exactly like the family members. Because if the family dies the souls will dry out and be useless. All the clowns had bullet marks on their foreheads followed by a pool of blood on the ground. To make it look like it was a murder by someone with a gun. Meanwhile, Hong Joon had found a gun at the place he was investigating “5 more minutes left” The operator of the composition said. In the end, Hong Joon solved the mystery at the crime scene and won the challenge. He was now officially the most amazing and talented detective. When he was going home he forgot to give the gun he was using back and so he just brought it home and thought he would give it the next day because it was close to midnight. But, when he went home he saw the dead bodies of his “Family” and was hesitant to believe and right then the police entered the house and saw the bodies. They were shocked and disgusted by how much blood the room was filled with.”Sir, We have to search you'' The police said seriously to Hong Joon but he did not answer because of how heartbroken and shocked he was. “Sir,” once again there was nothing but silence. The police started to search him even if he did not agree and they found the gun that he brought from the crime scene. The police immediately suspected him and put handcuffs on Hong Joon then, brought him to the police station while other police and detectives were investigating the house. They all noticed that the bullet of the gun Hong Joon brought was the same size as the ones in the family member’s heads. They later sent him to court and the detective MinGu that was always fighting and trying to win over Hong Joon’s popularity; made a fake recording of Hong Joon and his father fighting and then the family coming into the fight telling him to stop and then Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang the sound of a gun then silence.  He showed it to the court and they pleaded him guilty and said he will spend 6 years in prison. “ NO he is lying he is trying to go against me, please believe in me I am telling the truth, That did not happen I did not fight with my family I love them and would never do that. MinGu I will revenge you I promise you will not have a peaceful life,” said Hong Joon who was being sent to prison with no proof that he did not kill his parents and siblings. “Smirk, I wonder how you will revenge me now after your life in prison wishing to be dead!” said MinGu silently to himself. “Officer please trust me look at Detective MinGu he has an evil smile and his intentions are way worse than you think, I swear I did not do it I, I, I” Quickly MinGu stopped his evil smirk and told the officers that he did not have evil intentions and all he wanted was his families justice. “Liar you are a liar MinGu how dare you say you don’t have any intention MINGUUUUU.” yelled Hong Joon out of anger. “enough is enough you are guilty and don’t deserve my time. How dare you say you are truthful and not guilty when you were caught on the scene and every piece of evidence is against you!” The Judge said. Hong Joon was devastated and upset, he had done nothing and now he would be sent to prison for 6 years when he is only 16 years old. How could they even think that he could do all of this? All of the news about Hong Joon the popular detective who “murdered” his own family and was sent to prison for 6 years was blasted all over the country and everyone was shocked on hearing how a truthful detective turned out to be a killer and an unfaithful son. “Hong Joon, an outstanding detective, was caught murdering his family a week ago after he was sent to court and pleaded guilty. With multiple Evidence and clues left by him including a Recording of Hong Joon and his family arguing with each other. He is now sent to prison and the country is safe from a murderer that can go as far as killing his own family.” explains the news reporters on TV. “Oh my gosh how a ridiculous person just how did he have the nerve and heart to do all of this.” Said the people watching the news on their Phones and TV. After the news was found that MinGU found the hidden recording and other pieces of “evidence” (Fake evidence he made that no one knows about.) his popularity grew 22x as much as it was and now he was nominated for the title of the best detective. While Hong Joon was suffocating in Prison for something he did not do.

6 years past

The News of Hong Joon being set free from behind bars after he was in prison for 6 year was let out.The gossiping began again and made Hong Joon even more helpless and depressed. On the other hand Hong Joon was determined to find the killer and the person who set him up right as he was in prison and now he is finally out. But, a lot was missing from his life and he had no one to let out all of his worries on. He felt useless and broken. He was now 22 years old and on his birthday no one was around him so he sang to himself crying and wishing for his family to return to him and everything being a long and scary nightmare that he could not wake up from. At that time he knew that nothing could ever change and he chose to commit suicide! He went to Khan river and was standing on the bridge with many cars passing by, but no one seemed to notice. It started to pour while he was standing at the end of the bridge thinking about how pitiful he was and then let go. “SPLASH” from the Khan River!!!

Ep 2.

The first encounter

Human real world

“DD\=DareDevil, one of the most popular and best-sold comics of Korea Is now confirmed to be releasing the 7th season of the amazing mystery book in 10 days the episodes will start to publish every week in 10 days. There will be more than 20 episodes in this season.” The News people are saying. 

“Alarm Noises go off” (The sound of someone calling)

“Aah, ouch I fell off the bed,” Kim Yeoni gets up thinking it is nighttime and it is time for her shift at the hospital. 

“The alarm went off, it is our shift” Joo He says as she is getting up after she fell to the ground.

\~Kim Yeoni- Coworker of Joo Hee, they are on the same night shift at the hospital

“Where is your phone, check what time it is,” said Kim Yeoni tiredly.

“Yeoni, I can’t find my phone where is it? Oh found it, It is only 10 am not 5:00 pm (Shift starts at 5 pm) Oh no Yeoni I am in big trouble it was not the alarm that went off it was CEO Park Cheon that went off!”

 “What Boss Oh no how many times did he call? Is it that bad?”

“Huh, not that bad ONLY 38 CALLS FROM HIM!” Joo Hee said sarcastically.

“Hahaha, you are dead. Don’t just sit there looking at your phone, quickly get up and run to his office.” 

“I Know already, don't make it worse for me.”  Joo He said while running off to her boss’s office. 

When she arrived at his office he had this very serious and ugly look on his face.

“CEO PARK Cheon, I am sorry for not picking up the phone. last night I was tired and went to sleep and then I woke up thinking that the alarm went off.” Said Joo Hee, panicking that she would be punished.

“Haha Joo Hee why are you so scared? I called because of an important question I had and finally, you are here,” said CEO Cheon while softening his facial expression.

“Ahh no, I was not scared I, I, I ran a lot so I was tired, and said it all too quickly didn’t I?”

“Ah just forget it, I had a question for you. So I saw the news today and DD the comic is having the 7th season in 10 days and wanted to ask you this for a long time already but didn’t find the right timing. So are you the author because it says the author is Joo Hee. I was hesitant at first but now I am sure. I have all 6 books and I will buy the 7th once it is out. I am a very loyal fan.”

“Is that why you called me 38 times in the morning after I tiredly worked all night?” Said Joo Hee angrily

“Yes, What else did you think it was. Did you do something wrong? Or else why are you acting so suspicious?”

“No, No, I did nothing wrong, and DD the comic, Yes I wrote and drew everything, by the way, my dad helps me with the drafts. Is there anything wrong with it?”

“Are you serious OMG no way you are the author of such an amazing Comic. I am Officially hiring you and now you are my favorite worker of the year!”

“Smirk, yeah, uh are you that big of a fan?”

“You don’t even know I am obsessed with it. Plus I will give you the Hiring if you tell me one thing.” 

“Really what is it?”

“Who is the demon or real murderer in the book who killed all of Hong Joon’s family?”

“Ahh that uh, I will let it out soon can you wait.”

“Of course I can’t wait, just give me the spoiler”

“ I wanted to leave that a secret, even my co-workers and friends don’t know.”

In Joo He’s mind

\~ I don’t have a killer or demon yet. Ahhhh what should I do? I really want the Job hiring? Quick make up an excuse I don’t wanna get in trouble.\~

“Um CEO Cheon, can you wait 3 days and I will give you the Killer? Because right now I am working on that and I have to figure out the way I will be putting him back into the comic.”

“Fine but be quick.”

“Sigh” Joo He said as she was leaving The CEO’s office.

\~I thought I would die but it is just about a comic. I did not think that he was such a big fan. HEHE, I am lucky I did not die today. I will go home and write a couple of drafts and ideas for who is the killer to satisfy the CEO.\~

Joo He goes to her dorm room where she sleeps in the daytime after her shift is over and takes her things to go home. Before her shift starts again.

“I see you did not die, did ya,” Said Yeoni laughing jokingly.

“Hahaha, so funny, yes I am alive. I did not die and am not planning to, So weird the Ceo wanted me so he could ask me to spoil the next season of the book DD.”

“Wait, you know the author of DD?”

“Huh, didn’t I already tell you, I AAAMMM, the author of the book!”

“Oh My, no Fcking way you are the author. Can I have your autograph? Um, I uh, wait one sec?”*

“Yeoni stop being so sarcastic I already told you when I first started writing the Comic and only now do you blow up. I have no time to play around. I have to go home and start drawing for the next season, plus I have other things to do before our shift starts.”

“Joo, wait one sec I am finding my book. Ah-ha found it. Please sign it.”

“Fine, I will sign it real quick. Where is the pen?”

“Oh right here, have it,”

Joo Hee quickly signs it and leaves. Once she gets to her house her mom asks her if she wants to eat. Her dad is writing a few scripts for her Comic that Joo Hee asked him to write. 

“Joo Hee come and eat some food.” Miyeong, Joo Hee’s mom said.

“Finally I get to eat. What are we eating?”

“Soft Tofu Stew (순두부찌개)”

“Ooo, we haven’t had 순두부찌개(Sun-du-bu-jji-gae) for so so long. Where is Dad (Dong-Hyun.)”

“OH, he is in his office working on that script of yours. He has been working on it for too long and does not worry about his health. I told him many times but still, he won’t get out of that chair.”

“Papa, come out and eat some food.” Joo Hee said loudly to her dad. 

Dong-Hyun came from his office and sat down at the table to eat.

“Papa, you need to worry more about your health instead of that stupid script that we both can’t get right. The script can wait, start worrying about how slim you got.”

“Haha, OK OK, but the script can’t wait any longer. Your fans will wait for the next episode and if it gets delayed they will be very upset.”

“Then make a better schedule and have some time for yourself and your rest.”

“OK, OK enough arguing let’s all start eating.” Said Miyeong (Joo Hee’s mom).

They all finish eating and Joo Hee goes up to her room to draw the episode of the comic that will come out in 10 days. When she turns on her drawing computer she sees that all of the drawings that she drew earlier were all changed and the images were completely different. Her parents would never touch her drawing so how did it change? 

All of the images were different and when she was reading through the comic the last scene was the Male lead being stabbed by a knife and the demon fighting with Hong Joon (Male Lead). In the end, he was hanging off a building.

“Oh, my this is so scary. Who would do such a thing? Why is he hanging off a building with a lot of blood dripping from him?” said Joo Hee Terrified of what she saw.

The computer suddenly opened up a portal, Joo Hee reach’s out with her hand to see what the light was and suddenly the portal sucked her up.

“AHHHHHHH” Joo Hee screamed.

Joo Hee fell into the comic world without knowing.

“Where am I right now? Why am I on top of a building?” Said Joo Hee quietly

“AHHH, AHHHHH, someone come and help me, SOMEONE!” Screamed Hong Joon.

“Huh, who is that? Why is there blood all over the ground?”

Joo Hee was following the blood path and she went closer and closer to the edge of the building. Once she gets to the end of the path she sees a man (Hong Joon).

“Ahh, How, How did you get here?” Joo Hee says, stepping back. Joo Hee was scared.

“Come here and help me get up off the edge of the building I am about to slip and die. I have been hanging on for too long. My arms are sore.”

“Ah, Ok Ok, give me your other hand. Careful, make sure you pull yourself up with me so we can get you off the edge.”

“Ahhhhhh, come onnnn al-most there.”

They both get away from the edge of the building and then she sees the injury on his body (The knife stab).

“Thank You,” Said Hong Joon.

“You, You are hurt, how did it happen, are you feeling alright?”

“Ah yes I, I, I”

He passes out because of all the pain and stress.

Joo Hee sees the man’s face more clearly now that they are away from the darkness and closer to the entrance/Exit light of the top floor/last floor up top with no roof. 

“He, He is Ho, Ho, Hong Joon the Male lead from my comic!!!”

Ep 3.

Back to the past

Comic World  (What was in ep 1. Was all of Hong Joon's Past and in this ep. I will explain it thoroughly.)

“SPLASH,”

Hong Joon was hanging over the Khan River with a strange-looking guy holding him tightly so that he wouldn't fall down into the river.

“Hold on tight, I won’t let you go down, ANYONE come here and help,” Mingi said (Strange-Looking Guy helping Hong Joon up).

“Let go of me, Why are you helping me?”

“Do you think I care if you asked me to or not? I won’t just watch and see how you die in that dark and cold place.”

“But, I want to die, let me go.”

“Don’t even think about it. Your life is not in your hands anymore, if you continue to hurt yourself you will end up in a psychology office to fix your thoughts.”

At that moment many people came to help Hong Joon. They all pulled him up and made sure he wasn’t hurt.

“Don’t ever do that again OK, No matter how hard your life is you have to hold on to yourself and make sure you don’t fall apart. And know that there are many people around the world with even worse lives than you have right now. I don’t know what happened to you or how hard it is for you but just know that there will be at least one person in this world that loves and cares for you.” One of the people that helped Hong Joon said.

Hong Joon looked down, embarrassed of what he had tried to do just now. He thought of what that lady from the crowd of people said to him just now.

Hong Joon’s Mind

\~ What if my parents are alive? What if I just am missing the small clues left by the murderer. What if I just let go and can’t bring myself together.\~

“Want me to give you some advice?” Said Mingi to Hong Joon while the big crowd of people started to shrink one by One.

Hong Joon kept quiet and did not reply to Mingi’s question.

“I can be your friend and help you with your problems but first you need to tell me what your problem is.”

“You think I would tell a stranger what I have been going through? Do you think that I would trust you, someone who I met for the first time?”

“Yes, I do, and I trust that you can change your thoughts and feelings.”

“Well guess what you are wrong,” 

“I don’t care if you trust me or not or if you think I am good or bad. I will share what I have gone through and I won’t ask for anything in return simply just to keep going and think of what you are doing before you do it.”

“Why are you being so nice to me?”

“Because I know what you are going through right now. I also know that you are going through a lot and right now you are depressed and are angry. That is why you are being so negative.”

“Who even are you? How do you know so much about me?”

“I saw you on the news and saw everything. I have been through the same thing. I witnessed  My mother’s death and my father blamed my mother’s death on me and sent me to prison when I was young. But no one believed that I saw my father kill my mother. I am now 25 and I am over everything, I am as strong as I could ever be.”

“Sorry to hear that, aren’t you scared and at least a little bit suspicious about me? The news says that I killed my parents and have many other intentions too. What if I kill you on the spot?” Asked Hong Joon asked.

“Hhhh, I am not scared, I trust you, not the news. Even if the news says something doesn’t mean it is true. And most of the time 50% of it is fake. I am on your side and if you do kill me I would think it is fate.”

“Thank You for your time, But now I have to go.”

“Wait, do you have something important to do? If not, I can share one of my tips and I can help you find the murder of your family.”

“Can you help me?”

“Yes, and I will do my best,”

“ Fine, I will tell you my story and you have to make sure to not share it with anyone and also to not go back on your words.”

“You got it, I will not go back on my words. You can trust me.”

Hong Joon told his story to Mingi. Mingi was very traumatized by his story and at that moment he understood why he wanted to die. But Mingi knew that he had to help him get around this big problem and overall give him a better life.

“How about we start working and when we get enough money then we will open our own company and we will use that company to help us find out who the murderer is and how we can compensate your parents and siblings. So technically with all of the company's shares and popularity, we can get the trust of other people so they will help us and maybe we can find a way to find other small parts of your family’s death.” Said Mingi making a plan. 

“I agree but, I think we should first go to my home and find some clues so we can first get all of the lies out of this case. Also, I will show everyone how fake Detective MinGU really is.”

“Yes, you are right. I should have thought of that before anything else. And detective MinGu right, is he a bad guy?”

“Yes, He is a detective who only cares about money and popularity. He somehow found a fake recording of me and my family and sent me to jail.”

“Don’t worry we will get back at that detective.”

They both go to Hong Joon and his family's home and they feel a weird aura. 

“Mingi, right?”

“Yes, right”

“I feel weird right as I step foot into this house, I am a demon hunter and I feel that there has been a demon in here. I started hunting for demons after I turned 12 because I was one of the people who saw a demon rip off the hand of my classmate and I was terrified after that time so I became a demon hunter. All of the people I told never believed my words when I said “I saw a demon” so I gave up that thought. But now I have awakened and I want to take revenge on my family and my friend. If I am correct a demon might have killed or even hid my family away from me.”

“You are a demon hunter? I never thought demons were real but when you told me about the weird aura or something, I feel weird too.”

“We have to find some more clues.”

2 years later

After years of studying and building their own company they finally managed to build their own company and now Hong Joon is 24 years old. He had gotten a lot done, he even got his title for the best detective back and also has won the heart of many people and now everyone trusts that he is not the killer of his family. Hong Joon was still finding a way to meet a demon so he could ask if it were them who took or killed his family but there has been no progress in finding a demon for the past 2 years.

Then one day he went to the hospital because his friend Mingi has broken his arm and he wanted to check on him since he has gotten a really serious fracture. 

“Mingi, how are you? Are you feeling better?”

“Yup I am much better. How is the work in the company going? Is everything going okay without me?”

“ Don’t worry everything is fine and also I have had many complaints about people needing a detective to find out someone from the news company letting out false information about a new case.”

“ Aaaayyy, Why are there so many bad guys in this world?”

“Phone Buzzing”

“Oh, I have to take it. It is my uncle’s number.”

“Alright see ya.”

“Hello”

“Hong Joon, if you want to see your family again, come to the top of the building in 10 min or else they will die.” Said the old and powerful demon

“Who, Who are you? How did you get my uncle’s phone?”

“I am the demon who you were looking for all this time.”

Hong Joon hung up the phone and quickly ran up the stairs of the hospital to get to the 15th floor. The elevators were not working so he had limited time and he had to rush. 

“All this time I was looking for clues of the Murderer but I found none it was all like a flawless kill but I thought there had to be at least one mistake and I was right the killer was not a human or else how could they leave false evidence that I killed my family and leave no other clues behind. I was right, it is a demon. I have to hurry or else I may never see the faces of my Mom and Dad and siblings ever again.”

Hong Joon rushed up the stairs and finally he was at the top. He went outside and called the same number again. 

“Where are you?” said Hong Joon panting.

“Hahahahahahahaha, You made it, I guess I have no other choice but to… KILL YOU!!!” Said the demon holding a knife by Hong Joon’s Throat.

“You lied. Where are my Parents? I will kill you if you do something to them. Do you understand?” 

“Hahahahahahah, Hahahhahahah you still think you can be so arrogant even when facing death? Let me tell you your family is alive and they are in my home, Trapped, None of them have the right type of souls I need so I came to take yours!!!”

“Yahhhh” Hong Joon broke out of The demon’s hands and took his knife.

They kept on fighting, in the end, the demon used his power to keep Hong Joon still and stabbed him to take the soul and saw that his soul was still not the right one, The demon was angry as he has never been, he has been looking for this soul for 18 years and still, he couldn’t find it. So angrily he stopped using his power and threw Hong Joon off the building!!! Hong Joon managed to hold on to the edge of the building while the demon disappeared into thin air!!!

Hong Joon was yelling for help. He was weak and tired at that time because of the stab that went across his whole chest. He saw a Mirror-like thing opening up and a hand coming out of it. He held the hand and pulled it so it could help but it suddenly disappeared. (Joo Hee comes into the comic that way and the teleport thing disappears because the door to the real world closed and she appeared in the comic world).

Hi guys, Hope you are enjoying this comic so far. I am trying really hard to improve because I am a young writer who is very busy. I try to add time to write and sometimes it is very hard for me so the episodes might take 1-3 weeks to update. I am trying my best, and so far I think I am getting the hang of it. This episode might not be the most interesting because I tried to explain everything going on in Hong Joon’s life as quickly as possible so I might have not explained some things too well.
