A young bengali boy named Ashutosh came to kolkata in search of a suitable job for himself. As soon as he arrived there, it started to rain heavily. Ashutosh was in a hurry to find a shelter since he didn't wanted to get wet in the rain and catch cold.

At first he took shelter under a banyan tree and as soon as the rain stoped he again started to walk on the streets in search of an apartment. Ashutosh got really very tired by searching apartmentsas he couldn't find any suitable affordable one. Alas,at the evening he came across an old creepy building which was situated in a very quiet corner of an alley.

At the first sight he did not feel like entering the apartment as it looked really creepy from outside but he had no other choice left with him as the dark clouds were again gathering ,bringing a heavy rainfall.

Ashutosh went inside the building and began to search for the landloard or the manager of the apartment. After a few minutes an old man with a stick in his hand came towards Ashutosh, when he saw him , he thought that the landloard must not be an easy man to deal with but as the landloard asked Ashutosh what is he looking for then Ashutosh got a bit relaxed and requested to know about the rent of the apartment and wether it was affordable for him. The landloard gave a very warm smile to Ashutosh and explained everything related to the building. After hearing the amount of the rent Ashutosh got really satisfied and planned to stay in there.The building had only two floors ,the first floor's room was occupied by Ashutosh and the second floor's room was locked. After entering the room ashutosh took a bath , went downstairs to eat his dinner with the landloard and went back to his room to sleep.

"He threw himself on the bed and closed his eyes to sleep but was unable to do so , as he was laying in the bed, he heard some unpleasant sounds coming from the second floor."

Ashutosh suddenly got up with a shock because he knew that when he saw the room of the second floor , it was locked and how come someone entered the room at the midnight the sound was intolerable for Ashutosh as he was not able to sleep anymore but after a few minutes the sound was becoming very soothing and pleasant, after listening to the music carefully he realised that someone was playing harmonium(a classical music instrument).

Ashutosh forgot about all the depression he had after listening to the music and just fell asleep in a very relaxed way.

"the next day - ashutosh was going out in search of a job and on the way he met the landloard so he thought about asking about the pleasant sounds coming from the second floor to the landloard".

The manager burst into laughter and after controlling himself he patted Ashutosh on his back and told him that he might had an illusion after such a long journey. Ashutosh got astonished and kept on arguing with the landloard about what happened last night , the landloard interrupted him and reminded him that he was running out of time , with a shock Ashutosh ran out of the apartment.

" Ashutosh successfully found a perfect job for himself and came back to his apartment"

The manager welcomed him back and Ashutosh also greeted the manager and went back to his room.

"Ashutosh completed his lunch and was off for his work ,"

At night he had a very good conversation with the landloard till late night and was going to sleep. As he was going to his room, he saw a man going upstairs , suddenly he realised that no one lives in the room upstairs he why is the man going there and then without any hesitation he just ran towards the man and asked him that why is he going there?. The man replied "i live here!"so thats the reason i am coming in this floor. Ashutosh told him that the landloard told him that no one lived in this room for many years so its been locked.

At first the man gave a very creepy smile to Ashutosh and then began to laugh out loud and said to Ashutosh that the landloard is a bit mentally abnormal that means he forgets about many things of past ,though i am living here for many years but still i don't come here often i come here at late night just to sleep and at early morning i leave this place, so i guess the landloard doesn't remembers me.

Ashutosh got surprised and after few seconds he excitedly asked the man wether he was the person who plays harmonium(a musical instrument)at mid night!.

The man replied with a yes and said that he is not at all good at playing harmonium so he just tries to play it better at night because darkness gives him power to focus and he stays calm.

Ashutosh said to him that he is brilliant at playing that instrument and the sound coming from his room gives him a peaceful sleep.

The man replied that if you enjoy my music so much then i must invite you at my room tonight.

Ashutosh agreed and took a leave from that man.

"at night Ashutosh got excited as he was going upstairs, and finally arrives and knocks the door twice"

The man replied from inside to Ashutosh that he may come inside and Ashutosh got in , he was amazed by having a glance at his room as it was his first time to enter in that man's room.

The man first requested him to close the door and all the windows so that he can concentrate in the music .

"Ashutosh got a bit scared but then closed everything as that man requested him to do."

Ashutosh sat down on the chair which was especially kept for him and asked the man to start playing the harmonium. The man started to play it, at first there was a very unpleasant sounds coming from it but as he went on playing the sounds became more clearer and pleasant,

" after a few minutes the atmosphere inside that room became very horrifying".
