Vivid From Getaway

Prologue | Full Moon

...Time passes rapidly, who is the one who is truly reversing?...

Dority felt anxious while we were together at this time since we were seeing a Full Moon. We were scheduled to look at it, but we abruptly separated ways and decided to find it on our own.

In the future..

"Did you get a chance to see it?"

Someone came up to me and asked whether I had seen the full moon as we had promised to see it today, but the fact was that I had not.

"Isn't it true that you're meant to feel disappointed with me? Dionne?" I couldn't say yes to her puppy eyes when she asked me again.

"I'm not as dissatisfied as you believe, Dority"

Then i heard a short noise from outside but I decided not to look at it. Dority insisted on going outside, and instead of refusing, I raised my voice. After I accidently done it, she whimpered.

"Is it audible? Dority?"

"Clearly, the noise is increasing."

Since we've gotten more closer outside of the building, the noise has gotten louder. I didn't think Dority would leave me alone in this frigid spot while I was concentrating on other things, but why? She was adamant about it.

Suddenly, a flashback transported me back to the moment when I was about to harm Dority.

The Flashback

Despite the risks of going outside and risking our lives together, I was excited to go to the dead maze we'd agreed to visit.

Our lives will come to a halt, but no matter what, I can't let Dority suffer the same fate previously.

"Remember, Dority we're getting out of here together." She nodded as if she wasn't going to forget about it, but she did. She became stuck in the dead maze and couldn't find her way out.

She basically went to the rough road where you can barely seen a person, but thankfully I was able to find her as quickly as possible. I can't afford to lose her again: I treasure our time together, but there are bonderies.

"This is the time.. the moment i thought she might leave me one day"

However, none of those are true; They were all concocted by my imagination. I was fairly certain I had saved her but it turned out to be someone else.

Looking back on our history, I'm struck by how much I've changed over time. I have a lot of pals butjust two of them captured my interest. When I no longer see the other person in few years, I promise to look after her until she is allowed to return to our foster home.

But what happened before that?

I'm still mumbling around, trying to figured out what would have happened before the person i loved vanished from my eyes.

She emerged from dead maze from a long time. I'm delighted someone found her because I couldn't find her anywhere else. "Do you believe i'm not entitled to an explanation?" I said this while I held her hand.

"I don't owe you an explaination, Dionne; I know what you did to me" she said later, glaring at me.

She can't possibly turn into someone like that.

Someone who has lost their smile as a result of a series of events.

The flashback is now complete

"Dionne? Where could she possibly be?" The girl was terrified after leaving her buddy inside but she was more terrified when the sounds grew louder with each passing minute. She was perplexed as to why she had left her alone with the creature she feared.

Despite saving her, she abandoned her and never returned. Dority was the one who pulled it off. After several failed efforts, she ultimately left her.

"I apologize for doing this, but it was the correct thing to do." She whimpered a lot more now than she did before, but what happened to Dionne, who was alone? She's now alone with the beast.

Dionne wished she had never met both of them, who would one day abandon her.

"Everyone had abandoned me."

"Why didn't I believe my insticts that she would depart sooner?"

She was quite dissatisfied with how they abandoned her. Dionne figured out how to get out of the foster home, but a monster has been vying for her attention for a time, so how will she get out?

"Can you tell me what this noise is?" She entered an area where the sound become more frightening and ominous than before. Only to discover there was a monster nearby.

"What the hell is going on here... What exactly is this?"

It was a monster, but a pitiful creature. The monster would pity someone who had already abandoned them, and they would appear at random times, but this was the first time she met one.

"Have you notice how everything is reversing?" When a monster finally spoke up, it made me more terrified.

What exactly does reversing imply?

When I look at the full moon before Dority left me alone with nothing, it was reversing itself. These reversals must come to an end fast, but it appears that it is already too late.

"You don't have to let it go back to where it came from, Dionne; you deserve better than this." After all the atrocities it did, the monster calmed me down; the monster doesn't want me to feel pity more than everyone else.

I wished the monster would transport me back in time but that was no longer possible; I'd already said my goodbyes.

A few moments later...

After leaving the foster home, that was the only thing i remembered, and I'm wondering when that monster will depart as well.

Episode 1 | Last Wish

...The wishing well left everyone terrified after their wishes were granted, but with consequences....

A Few Years Later..

I traveled about a mile from where I resided in the city. There is a tunnel which you can walk through. I was really concerned about what would have happened to me within the tunnel, which was filled with lethal odors.

After I've entered it. I figure out what the wishing well was. I couldn't see anything, but I immediately realized that someone had been standing next to me te entire time.

She gave me a sidelong glance. From behind me, a menacing woman was staring at me.

She shrugs thereafter, "I'm delighted you're safe after entering the tunnel, my loving daughter."

Mother? Is she the person I was supposed to meet? She was more apathetic than I was.

When was the last time I got that kind of response? I recall coming here to see how delighted she was to see me again, but receiveing ignorance in return was not sincerely good.

"Mother, may I inquire as to our purpose for being here?" When i said that, i became numb.

"Isn't that something i told you a long time ago? We're supposed to meet right here, without you interrogating me about the location!"

We got into a dispute. We don't have much time to argue, but we must remain disciplined. I'm having trouble socializing with strangers rather than my co workers right now.

But why do I treat my mother as if she was a stranger? It had to be because it was our first face-to-face meeting.

"We don't have time for that!" says by the family. She tried to push into the wishing well, but I was too smart to fall for it.

"Mother! Why are you putting so much pressure on me?" I felt discomfort inside of me, like if I had injured on my stomach or other areas on my body.

Is she completely insane yet? I was on the verge of dying at the time, so I'm not sure why she began shoving me off the premises. Something was awry while I saw something black in the darkest.

My mother abruptly exited the tunnel. She abandoned me in this desolate land of wishing wells and tunnels.

"Mother.. Mother.. Mother! Where have you gone?" I yelled for someone to tell me where she was but no one responded.

"She must have.. abandoned me," I reasoned.

She hadn't arrived yet, and time had passed. Until i came across a few photographs of the wishing well. I gathered them all on the ground, but something is missing. It's about an immortal who lives in this tunnel and supposed to be a wandering soul.

"If she hasn't arrived yet, I'll look for evidence of this wishing well."

Someone said it could be due to wishes, that they could fully destroy the Immortal's desire if they gave him a lot of wishes because of the desires were filled with wishes they never knew about.

A bat with human blood was placed beside the wishing well on a bench.

"Is that blood on the floor? Is it possible that I'm hallucinating?"

The sight of blood streaming on the ground drew my attention. Then I remember that while I wasn't looking around, someone bated me from behind. I geniunely had no idea who it was.

Mother began to emerge from the shadows. I was on guilt trip because I had no idea she would do something terrible one day.

"Dionne.. What is it you that you want this time?" She interjected herself into the conversation.

Didn't I say I couldn't say it? Wishes have rules, and one of them is that telling your wishes may or may not come true, regardless of the consequences that may occur afterwards.

"Mother? Why are you suddenly inquiring?" I was freaking out on her as she got closer to me.

"Tell me your wish, Dionne," She said as she got closer to the wishing well.

I imagined her being enraged at me, and that she might kill me as a result. I consider withdrawing her hand, but as I tried to pull her away from me, her grip became tighter.

I'm having problems fleeing from this place, which she has now guarded.

"Please, Mother, think about it one more!" She was comepletely oblivious to what I'm saying.

Then it dawned on me... Mother han't arrived yet, so I was just hallucinating. When I recall that I was going to murder myself, I get even more terrified.

"Is something wrong with my dear daughter?" My mother spoke in hushed tones, but was she truly the lady I knew?

"There isn't anything wrong with you, Mother. I'm worried you're going to kill me." Her mood began to shift in ways that went beyond her appearance and demeanor.

Is this a nightmare? I wanted to wake up right now to see if it was all a dream. Meeting my mother at this kind of area is kind of odd, but they said it was her favorite place, so it was a dream I never wanted to have. Before I was born, I almost misunderstood her about her history.

"Are you abandoning me here again, Mother?" She exited the tunnel and, as before, left me here.

However, there is some good news. She left something behind that could reveal the truth about why she came here, which is most likely not to wish well.

"I investigated practically every message she received from that individual on her previous phone," I said, "but five of them caught my eye."

...Messages from Unknown...

Mrs. Clark: Thank you very much. Are you sure you're saying something?

Unknown: I do, in fact. But have you yet figured out what you want?

Mrs. Clark: Yes, but this has nothing to do with you.

Unknown: Do you recall hoping at the wishing well for your daughter to die?

Mrs. Clark: All right, that's all right. She is responsible for my son's death and must bear the consequences.

When i looked up the messages, I cried. I have an older brother who was favored by my own mother, but he died as a result of my actions. Wasn't it true that I was hallucinating before?

Until I wasn't paying attention to what was going on around me.

"Mother! You've already arrived."

She assasinated me as I was ready to take her hand in mine, even before I could tell her about my older brother.

"This will be the last time you see me," She grins, and I close my eyes in grief.

The workplace, which holds much more than this one, is a location I won't be able to see again. I've always had sorrow waiting for me until daybreak, and I'll miss my happiness once I'm gone.

"Goodbye, my lovely mother," I said with a heavenly grin, and she looked perplexed.

Is this how it feels to die? I had the greatest skepticism in my life about being slain for no apparent reason.

I can still hear her voice from afar saying, "You look more lovely when you're dead, Dionne."

In her eyes, I'm just a stranger, full of hatred and vengeance. Clark's daughter has no succumbed to guilt trips and this death will not free me from the guilt trips I had before exiting this tunnel.

Dionne died as a result of guilt trips. She wanted her life to be full with doubts, and she didn't want anyone to disrupt her aspirations.

Several people discovered her at the bottom of the wishing well as she traveled into another universe. The high-ranking officers, on the other hand, assumed it was a traveller who has lost her way on the island of life and death.

Will she able to overcome her dread of the challenges she will face?

......................

...short notice...

A wishing well is a term from European folklore to describe wells where it was thought that any spoken wish would be granted. The idea that a wish would be granted came from the notion that water housed deities or had been placed there as a gift from the gods.

Episode 2 | Tourist

...When a human eventually departs in another universe, a fresh adventure begins....

She was referred to as a tourist who died in a seperate universe, and the person who referred to her as a tourist was likewise a heartless human.

"Who is this person? Another tourist?" Someone had remark to me.

Is it true that I'm still alive? I'm not sure where I am right now. What is this person's name, and why is she wearing a mask?

"I'm not a tourist; do you have any idea where I am?"

What was the woman thinking about tourist if she didn't respond? I have no idea how I ended up here. Is it true that someone brought me here?

...Do you want to surrender?...

...[ Yes ] [ No ] <...

Is this the correct response? What was the significance of this message suddenly appearing in the middle of the land?

...Dionne, You're secure!...

"Congratulations, you're safe!" exclaims the woman.

She congratulated me and broke the collar; she seemed pleased with herself for breaking it, and it was strange to hear her laughing at me.

Was it actually "It's time for you to go into the lobby, be careful" Where? on the other hand, is the lobby? I'm not sure where I am right now.

...Do you want to pick up the mystery item?...

...[ Yes ] < [ No ]...

...You've got yourself a flashlight!...

Is that a flashlight? I'm grateful that I have this now. I can finally see where I'm heading.

Traps? No way, you're joking. "Isn't this merely a dream?" I felt I was going to death at this area until someone grasp my waist to flee the room.

I have no idea who that person is, but why did they rescue me from these traps? I'm on a mission to discover the truth.

"Do you think you're okay?" Someone approached and asked me a question. I was hesitant to answer the question, but I knew i needed to do it quickly before another message appeared.

"How about you?" "I'm okay."

While gazing at the object, I said. The visitor then left, but a message was left on the floor. I didn't get that person's name either. However, the note must be.

"I'm okay as well; you won't find me any place. It will only serve to destabilize the system. By the way, it's great to see you there." - Unit Four

Is Unit Four the name I'm looking for? It appears that I must proceed to the next chamber, but first I must pick up the item; it may or may not be useful, but I must do so.

...Do you want to pick up the mystery item?...

...[ Yes ] < [ No ]...

...You've got yourself a blue key!...

Is that a blue key? Do I need another key to get into the next room? By looking at the present message from the system, I can figure out if I need more.

...There are no messages....

So it appears that I won't require any additional keys. However, there are three doors in this room, two of which may lead to death and one of which will go to the lobby.

Which one is it?

...Which door are you going to open?...

...[ Blue Door ]...

...[ Blue Door ]...

...[ Blue Door ] <...

...You're in trouble!...

"Hide in the closet! Unit Zero!" Who was it who stated that? That voice seemed familiar, but it wasn't mine.

But now is not the time to figure out who it was; I need to go to the closet. Isn't it strange that the closet is immediately beside the first door?

The door swings open. It's the incorrect door.

That is to say, Dionne is subjected to punishment, yet she is fortunate in that she is able to flee. Is it time to put an end to punishment?

While Dionne is in the isolation chamber napping. She is safe, but how will she be punished? Is it true that it happened or not?

.....It took place.....

The message appeared, but Dionne did not notice it. The isolation chamber is conveniently located in the lobby. It's a method of determing the origins of the players or units, but only if they reveal their origins.

It appears that Dionne will take long time to wake up, and likewise..

Other players/units appear to recognize Dionne or whatever it was, but will they recognize her solely on the basis of her appearance and voice? Only way to find out what happens next.

A few moments later..

I'm not sure where I am.. could someone please tell me? This has a creepy effect on me.

...You've arrived at the isolation chamber....

Isolation chamber? What exactly am I doing here?

My current name is Unit Zero? I'm wearing a different uniform with a different name. That is my new name, although it has odd ring to it.

"Unit Zero, please accept this letter from Unit Four" I received a phone call. Is it true that Unit Four has sent another letter? Why did they bother to call me again? Unit Four, I'd like to know that person's genuine name.

"I'm not sure how to open this letter.." I believe I needed to open it from the back, as the letter itself is attractive.

"Congratulations on avoiding the wrong door; the punishment couldn't have been too severe, right? I'm also the one who saved you from that mishap." - Unit Four

It seems obvious to me. That individual is the one who will save me. Isn't it true that after resting in the isolation area, messages invariably appeared?

Apart from me and Unit Four, who are the other Units? Because of the current circumstance I'm in, it's wonderful to see other players here. I need answers once I've rested for a while.

It's been 5 minutes and no one has yet to enter this room. They've most likely forgotten about me.

"It's time for you to leave the isolation chamber, Unit Zero"

Again, the system has been active at this hour, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I don't have a map to help me find the lobby, and the flashlight has gone out. However, there is something in the drawer that I could use.

...Do you want to pick up the mystery item?...

...[ Yes ] < [ No ]...

...You've got yourself a Ravendelle Map...

I've finally gotten my hands on the map, but why does it say Ravendelle? It's possible that sites like this exist, as well as other systems. It's time for me to stop talking gibberish and head to the lobby.

"The map is a little confusing" I commented as I walked down the corridor.

The code in this system is different, yet how come I don't comprehend any of the words? Since I'm unfamiliar with those, it's most likely a coincidence.

"I see you're still alive, did you ever forget about me?" The woman laughs. It's the same woman!

I'm not sure why she's here, but based on her experience and what I saw on the system, I believe she knows where I am.

The woman hadn't arrived yet. But who is the woman who answers the phone with Dionne? Is it better if it's Unit Four or Unit Two? The answers to the questions are yet unknown.

......................

...short notice...

Now that chapter two has come to a close, I'd want to hear your comments on the story. I won't make you answer, but I like to see what you have to say. Thank you for your interest in my novel!
