1: Set the scene
It had been 5 whole years since Draco last saw Kio. He had searched far and wide to find him but found no evidence. For all he knew, Kio could have actually been dead. As such, he was really surprised when Kio was walking out of a bathroom in his own office building on an ordinary Thursday afternoon.

KIO!!! IS THAT YOU?!?! I KNOW IT IS. IT HAS TO BE!
Kio (ML)
(*turns around*) Huh?

(*embraces Kio in a big hug*) Do you have any idea how long I have been looking for you?!?!

No. I don’t know you, but your eyes….they…they are red. Just like the ones in my nightmares. And your teeth they…they are so sharp. There’s no way that you aren’t one

(*takes a few steps back*) I…umm…I have to go (*runs away*)

(*runs after him*) Hey wait! Come back! I just want to talk to you. I….

DAD!!! DAD WHERE ARE YOU?!?! HELP. PLEASE HELP!!!
Mr. Yamato
(*frantically looks for Kio*) KIO? Where are you?
Kio (ML)
(*runs into Mr. Yamato’s arms sobbing*)
Mr. Yamato
(*pats Kio’s back*) shhh, it’s okay! You are going to be alright

(*crying and hyperventilating*)

Draco (ML)
(*listening from a few feet away*)

Mr. Yamato
(*sigh*) I know son, but this business deal is really important. If I go drop you off right now I will be late for the meeting. I will take you as soon as we are done. I promise!
Kio (ML)
💭 I know how important this is for the family business. If it doesn’t go well, my family will literally loose everything they have. I can’t be selfish just because I’m scared. I will just stick next to dad until everything is done (*nods head*)
A receptionists leads Mr. Yamato and Kio to the presidents office, where Draco is waiting in his seat

(*Extends hand to shake*) Hello Draco, thank you for having me today
Draco (ML)
(*shakes hand back*) Of course. I heard your business is in need of financial help
Mr. Yamato
Yes, and it’s pretty urgent so thank you for taking us on such short notice
Kio (ML)
(*trying to hide behind Mr. Yamato*)

(*moves to the side a bit*) This is my son Kio. He is a bit shy but I figured it would be good for him to get some business experience while I’m here

Of course. I’ve actually met him a few minutes ago (*staring at Kio with his red eyes*)

(*shrinks back behind Mr. Yamato in fear*)
Mr. Yamato and Draco start there discussion about the business deal as Kio continues to sit in fear
Draco (ML)
Alright Mr. Yamato, I’m willing to help you. But what will I get out of this in return?
Mr. Yamato
I will pay off the loan within 5 years. I’m also willing to pay 5% interest
Draco (ML)
(*thinks for a moment with his hand on his chin*) no…I don’t think that will be necessary
Mr. Yamato
What? But you are lending me more than 2 million dollars! How could I not compensate you in some way?
Draco (ML)
Oh you will, but what I want has nothing to do with finances or business (*closes folders and binders*) why don’t we make a simple trade
Draco (ML)
Yes! I will give you all the money you need, and I won’t ask you to pay it back. I just need one tiny little favor from you

(*on edge*) and what would that be

(*cuts him off*) Mr. Yamato, I don’t think I’m asking for much here. Business marriages are common, even in today’s world

(*looks at Kio and thinks for a moment*) No. I just got him back. I will not abandon my son for my own financial gains. Kio, let’s go
Kio (ML)
(*about to walk out the door with Mr. Yamato*)
Draco (ML)
You won’t get another offer like mine you know. I’m the only one who would be willing to give you this kind of deal. Kio would also be in good hands with you
Mr. Yamato
No he wouldn’t. He’s been shaking in his seat during this whole meeting. Why would you even want a boy like him when you could have anyone. You are a pure blood vampire after all.
Draco (ML)
It doesn’t matter. I only want him. I hope you realize that I can offer him a better life. I don’t think you would be able to take care of him when your business officially goes bankrupt
Kio (ML)
(*stiffens in place*)

Excellent. Then that settles it. Kio and I are to be lawfully married soon.
And so that’s how it happened. That’s the way Kio ended up in the hands of the same vampire that completely changed his life. But it wasn’t just any vampire. It was his first friend. His first crush. His first love. And his first bone crushing heart brake that would leave him mentally and physically scarred for the rest of his life
2: Lets make a bet
This story begins 6 years in the past when Kio was a little freshman in high school and Draco was a junior
-Monday, first day of school-

Oh shut up Levi. You think any girl who looks in your direction is attractive

Yes, it will be a bit of a challenge for Draco, but He seems confident in himself

3: First interaction
Kio is still sitting alone when Draco approaches him in the lunch room.

Hey, my name is Draco. You are Kio right?
Kio (ML)
(*startled*) Huh? Oh yeah. That’s my name
Draco (ML)
Good 😊 is this seat taken?
Kio (ML)
Sorry, go ahead (*about to get up and leave*)

Draco walks back to the table that Levi and Mia are sitting at

Draco (ML)
Well not exactly. He kind of just…ignored me
Mia and Levi look at one another before bursting out in laughter simultaneously

(*annoyed, eyes flash red*) Enough already!
Levi
(*out of breath*) sorry. It’s just that no one has ever rejected you before. I’m so surprised

Yeah, I wonder what went wrong

I don’t know. I just introduced myself and asked if I could sit with him. He offered me the whole table but when I told him that I actually wanted to talk to him he just got up and left

Draco does his best to get Kio’s attention in the hall way. Whenever he sees him he waved to say hi but Kio never responds. Three days pass before Draco is actually able to talk to Kio one on one

(*looks up from book*) Huh?
Draco (ML)
(*sits down in front of Kio*) I said why are you by yourself? I know you are a freshman but school started 3 days ago. You should have a few friends by now

I don’t need friends (*starts reading again*)

(💭Gesh, he’s so hard to talk to! He barely responds. Maybe I should tease him a bit)
Kio still has his nose in his book when Draco quickly snatched it out of his hand

(*stunned, holding book in his hand*) 💭What the hell was that all about? I can’t believe he just got up and left again. He even forgot his book! But why did he seem so freaked out? He even teared up a bit
Draco remains frustrated for the rest of the day as he thinks about everything that happened in the lunch room. He keeps Kio’s book in his locker with the intentions of giving it back to him the next day. But Kio never shows up in the lunch room again

Draco, why are you sitting here? Shouldn’t you be trying to win over Kio
Levi
Ha, maybe it isn’t going so well
Draco (ML)
(*rubs forehead*) No, it isn’t actually. I’m not sure what to do. The last time I tried talking to him I teased him a bit. He teared up and ran away

Maybe you should try a different approach. Dont talk to him the next time you see him. Just sit beside him
