In this world, the population is made up of 97.5% humans and 2.5% hybrids.
Hybrids are prized for their rarity and beauty, and, depending on the animal their other form takes up, their abilities.
For example, a cheetah hybrid would be a sportsperson, and a dog hybrid would be loyal and have a better sense of smell.
There are also omegas, betas, and alphas within this. Omegas can get pregnant regardless of their gender, betas have the same biology as normal humans, and alphas can impregnate regardless of their gender.

His bedroom was the quality you would find in the slums. It was worse than what the servants quarters were.
He chuckled lightly at the irony while dressing his wounds.
Even though he was poor before the royal family had found him, he had at least lived a better lifestyle back then, with a loving old couple who had took care of him.
Now, he had become royalty, the unannounced illegitimate child of the king. And this was the life he lived.
Getting beaten and abused by his family members on a regular basis, given less care and food than the kids living in the orphanage, and forbidden to go beyond the palace gates in fear of rumors spreading.
He didn't understand why they picked him up if this was what the wanted.
Once done, the child fell onto the mattress and wrapped himself in the thin, coarse blanket, exhausted.
His beautiful doe eyes fluttered to a close and he succumbed to a deep sleep...

Jungkook woke up to the rising sun and a growling stomach. He got up and went to the small sink in the corner of the bedroom.
Next to the tap, there was a toothbrush and toothpaste in a cup, and a small handwash.
He brushed his teeth and splashed some water on his face.
Today was a Monday, so he would get to take a shower earlier than usual, since the family would be out for school and work.

There was a mama and three baby bears settling down near a tree..
A few foxes heading to their home now that it was light, and some ducks swimming making ripples in the pond..
A lone duckling and baby fox had gone off of their own accord, and were quietly observing different creatures..
