I was sleeping soundly and dreaming happily when my alarm starts buzzing and I woke up from my sleep. It was 7 AM and I have to go to school, so I got up from my bed and go to bathroom for washing myself. After 15 minutes I came out from the bathroom wrapping a towel around myself and heading towards the closet. I opened my closet, take out my uniform as I started to dress up myself.

After dressing I reached to the dressing table and do my hair. I did a high ponytail because I have long and deep black hair. Usually I’d love to open my hairs but I didn’t because they all get tangled and take a lot of effort to untangle them so I didn’t do that. After I have done my hair, I look at myself in the mirror I have brown and black eyes, straight nose, perfect jawline, rose pink lips, fair and smooth skin, although I am very beautiful but I never realize it.

After looking myself for few moments I took my spectacles and wear it. Yes, I am a girl with glasses usually people like girls who wear glasses but I am an exception because no one notice me in school or anywhere. Oh!!! I think I didn’t introduce myself yet, sorry...!!! So, I am “Emily Vincent...”

“Emi are you ready for school? Come down. Breakfast is ready sweetie.” I came out from my thoughts when I heard my mum’s voice. “I am coming mom” I said as I grab my school bag and heading down towards the kitchen where my parents are.

“Good morning, mom and dad” I greeted them and hug them one by one and sat down on the chair besides my dad. Dad is reading a newspaper as usual and mom is serving breakfast. “Good morning” both said in unison. I ate my breakfast quickly and heading towards the door “I am going to school, see you later both of you, bye.” I said hurriedly because I am going to be late for my school.

I reached school and get off from my car and said to my driver “bye uncle Lan.” He nodded his head and gave me a sweet smile. He is in his late fifties. He is our family driver, no more than a driver, he is our family member. He treats me and my parents as like his own children and we also treat him like our elder. I hurriedly enter in the school gate and reached to lobby and then to my class. I sat down on my desk which is in the corner and the last row of the class.

I unpacked my stuff, took my books and notebook and sat them on the desk and start studying by myself. Yes, I am a study-bug that’s why I have glasses. First class was English so Mr. Thomson came in the class and start the lesson. One by one classes continued and finally bell rang, it’s time for lunch as I stand up and walk out from the class and walk towards the cafeteria.

Suddenly, I heard a scream behind me “Booooh.” “Ahh” I scream and jumped and then turned back, I saw Timmy laughing nonstop. “You stupid, you startled me” I said while grasping my breath, my heart is pounding in my chest. “You really startled from this??” he said still laughing. I throw a punch in his stomach as for his punishment. I didn’t hit him hard yet he is acting like it was really hard and it hurts a lot.

I know him very well “Stop acting like it hurts. It was not that hard. Stop pretending.” I rolled my eyes and said this, then walked towards the cafeteria. He catches me up in a few seconds. I know him since my junior high. He is my best friend the only friend because I am really very shy and quite person for those whom I don’t know or I don’t like and really open and frank for those who is close to my heart and there is not so many people who came in this category, of course the second one. I am actually very reserved person that’s why I have no friends except Tim.

We are heading towards the cafeteria for lunch and he is still laughing “Hey! Stop laughing. It’s not that funny, okay.” I said annoyedly. He stopped and nodded his head and walked silently with me. We entered in cafeteria and grab our lunch, then sat together and eat our sandwiches while chatting. After lunch, I said bye to Tim because we have different subjects so our classes are also different. I have science subjects while he has business management.

I walked towards my class passing through the lobby and I saw Nate fighting with some other boys. I froze at that moment because he saw me. He is our school’s Bad boy and my crush, my love, my everything since childhood because we are neighbours since our birth. Our parents are best friends. We used to play together in our elementary school and then he went to the boarding school because he was very arrogant and always fight with his friends and everyone at that time except me.

Yes, he was caring, gentle, sweet, loving towards me. When he came back four years ago for his junior high, he changed a lot, not a lot he almost changed his personality. And the most interesting part was that he changed towards me also. He gave cold shoulder everyone since his childhood, now he became more cold-hearted and arrogant towards everyone including me.

After few seconds, I turned around and about to leave when he shouted “Stay still.” I again froze in my place and now I am trembling also with fear because in this world he is my biggest fear when he is angry. Ohhh God please help me!!! I am praying and crying silently. He came towards me, grab me by my hand and pushed me, I lost my balance and fell on the ground.

“Ouch” I screamed because my head bump into railing and my arm scratch along with it and my butt hit the ground very hard. He pulled me up and asked angrily “What are you doing here? Don’t you have any other work or class?? Why are you wondering around??” I wanted to answer his questions but because of fear my words stuck in my throat and my eyes filled with tears.

I am trembling in fear and he is still holding my arm. He shook my arm and left, without saying anything, my tears started to fell on my cheeks. He left me alone here. My heart is literally broken because he is the only one, I love the most and he had totally changed.

I walked slowly towards the back side of my school building because there was only a ground and an abandon building of my school, so no one went there. I reached there and sat on the bench because I am used to be here. This is the only place where I can do anything and no one see me. Actually, this place is my secret place whenever I am upset or stressed, I came here. I was crying because of the incident and bruises but my heart was more hurt than my body. So, I decided to skip my all classes.

I cried a lot when I heard a familiar voice, I raise my head and saw Tim coming towards me, he sat beside me and asked worriedly “What are you doing here?? What happened to you?? Who hurt you??” He asked so many questions in one go, it annoyed me and I said in a high and angry tone “Why are you here?? Who told you I am here?? Just leave me alone, I don’t wanna talk to anyone, not you also.” I started sobbing again because of Tim’s questions, the previous scene flashed in my mind and again I started crying. “Nate came to me after lunch and asked about you and he told me to search you here.”

He suddenly stopped and I saw someone stood in front of me like a tower. I raise my head to see who was the one, my eyes widened in shock when I saw Nate standing in front of me. He commanded Tim to leave and he left immediately out of his fear. He gave me a bottle of water, which I rejected to accept and stand up for about to leave.

I turned around and about to leave, when he grabbed my wrist. My body freeze, my heart skipped a beat and started beating fast. “Sit here, have some water it’s hot here.” He said calmly and I did the same what he told. I sat down and took the bottle, he opened it for me. I was literally shocked at moment but this was the little, a big one is waiting for me. “Th-Tha-nk Y-You” I shuttered these words and start drinking water. He was looking at me the whole time, I feel shy and embarrassed at the same time.

I was looking at her the whole time when she was drinking the water. I feel relaxed to watch her like this. Her face became red, first I thought because of the heat then I realized she was blushing. I noticed every detail and expression of her and it makes me happy somehow. She had some bruises on her forehead, arms and as well as legs also
